Hi everyone! 👋✨
I’m Trishita (or Trish), 24, currently living in Sydney and getting ready to make the move down to Hobart solo for a permanent role at Parliament House. I’ve just wrapped up my Master of Public Policy at USYD, and after working across policy and non-profit spaces up here, I’m taking this next chapter south to step into the public sector full-time.
I’ve lived in sharehouses across Sydney for the past four years, so communal living is second nature to me! I’m tidy, considerate, and treat shared spaces with genuine care and respect. Because I’m relocating on my own without an existing network in Tassie, I’d love to find a home with warm, like-minded people. I’m naturally sociable - always up for spontaneous chats around the kitchen table, debriefing the day, or sharing a cup of tea. Outside of work, I love heading out on coastal hikes, travelling, staying active, and catching live music or festivals. 🎶🥾
At the same time, I completely understand the importance of downtime, quiet work nights, and respecting everyone’s privacy and boundaries to recharge.
A few quick details on what I’m looking for:
- Move-in Timing: Looking around late October to early November, though I have some flexibility for the right home.
- Budget & Setup: Flexible budget of $200–$500/week depending on the space (open to a room/ensuite in a sharehouse, or a private studio/flat).
- Location: Since I don’t drive (yet!), I’m ideally looking for something within walking distance to Parliament House and the city (Battery Point, Sandy Bay, South Hobart, or the CBD fringe).
- Vibe Check & Inspections: Since I’m based in Sydney until the move, I’d love to jump on a quick FaceTime or video call to say hi, hear about the house dynamic, and see if the vibes fit! If needed, I can also arrange to fly in sometime an in-person viewing.
I have secure full-time employment, solid rental references ready to go, pay bills on time, and am a non-smoker.
If it sounds like I’d be a great match for your place, drop me a message- I’d love to connect! 😊
