My name is Rhiannon and I will be travelling from British Columbia, Canada to Canberra at the end of August to work at ANU as a postdoctoral researcher. I just finished my PhD in Microbiology at UBC, so I am looking forward to this working holiday. Ideally I am looking for a place within walking distance to ANU. This will be my first time visiting Australia so I am hoping to find roommates who are also interested in exploring the city and seeing other parts of the country!
My name is Ainur. I'm currently doing my master's degree at ANU in International Economics and also work part-time. I am a multilingual person and can speak 4 languages, plan to learn the Spanish language in the near future. I am looking for a place to stay starting in June/July for at least 6-8 months (will mostly extend that to more than a year) preferably in a furnished share apartment/flat. Please contact me if you have anything available. I have been in Canberra for 2 years. I am friendly, clean and organized. In my free time, I like going out with friends, going to the gym, playing badminton, watching movies. I don't cook much. I respect everyone's space.
I am a phd student at ANU. I am in need of new accommodation as my current landlord is selling the house. I would prefer a place around the CBD not too far from ANU. Ideally I would be sharing with young professional or postgrad students just so we have something in common. I am very approachable and respectful, keen to have a chat after work, tidy, minimally cooking . I would be happy with either an ensuite or just a room in a new-ish building.
Hey there, from Sydney originally but have lived in the ACT for 5.5yrs. I am a full time venue manager for a delish restaurant/bar in Canberra. Few things about me, am very easy going and always up for a laugh. I enjoy listening to music, eating/drinking, puzzles, the odd hike here or there and much more. Appreciate a good balance between quiet time and socialising. As a housemate, I never leave a mess behind (except for my own bedroom) and understand the boundaries of a share house.
Hello everyone! Looking for a place to stay to rent for 6 months to a year. I'm sociable, open-minded, friendly (can get along with most people), but also respects privacy very much. I am an individual who is clean and tidy. I'm also an outgoing person but on occassion I like to have time to myself (balanced lifestyle is important for me!). I'm looking for people with these similar traits, so we can actually get along in the property we reside. Cheers, Reno Cotan
Hello! I'm moving from Flagstaff, Arizona to Canberra in September to start a post doc at ANU researching eucalyptus genomics. I'm looking forward to exploring Aus and plan on doing a lot of backpacking, camping, and beach time on the weekends. I appreciate a fairly quiet and clutter free space, but I'm not a neat freak. Ideally I'd love to find a small house or granny flat biking distance to ANU, near a good yoga studio, and with backyard space for sipping morning coffee, gardening, and the occasional dinner party. I love to cook, so a decent sized kitchen would be a big plus. I'm easy going, friendly, and respectful of personal space. I don't smoke and I don't drink regularly, but I appreciate good conversation over a glass of wine now and then. I'll be in Canberra for ~3 years and am flexible on shorter or longer term rentals. I plan to arrive in early September, but if the perfect place came up in August, I'd be willing to pay an extra month's rent to secure a great long-term lease. Message me if you're interested!
Hey, I'm hoping to move into an existing place with a friendly, easy going and sociable housemate. I'm looking for a decent sized bedroom, with my own bathroom and car park. I work full time in the APS and study a Master’s part-time at ANU. I'm originally from Perth and moved to Canberra at the start of last year. I’m 25, a non-smoker, pet-free, I don’t take drugs, I won't steal your food from the fridge... all the things you want in a housemate! I’m also very neat and happy to send a photo of my current place. I’ve lived in a number of share houses over the years (with guys and girls), so I’m pretty sociable and easy to live with. I’m a fan of social sport, cooking/eating, casual drinks, music (I come with headphones) and solid TV series (I'm currently watching The Handmaid's Tale, Parks and Recreation and Veep). Sadly my current housemate is moving to Sydney for work, so I'm exploring other options. I'm interested in living around Braddon, Turner, Acton, Reid, or Civic. I'm relatively flexible with move-in dates and am hoping to find a place for 6 months or longer. Please get in touch if you think I’d be a good fit! Thanks, Sam :)
I am moving from Melbourne to Canberra to buckle down and finish my degree in computing after taking some time off. Ideally looking for somewhere to call home, although I'm happy with temporary arrangements as well. I've been filling out 1form applications for almost five years now, so needless to say that I'm fully house trained. I am incredibly easy-going and am respectful of others' space and privacy. I recently ruptured my PCL so my interests have recently become a lot more sedentary. In my spare time, I like eating, cross-stitching, playing board games, exploring the city, and binging on Netflix. I'm a bit of a green thumb and am big on sustainable living. I'm also an advocate for mindfulness and have been trying to live life more deliberately. I try to keep active, although lately that's been mostly limited to the gym and cycling as of late. I tend to keep busy, but am more than keen for a chat with an occasional glass of wine. P.S. I can and will happily cook for you! P.P.S I can also come with an xbox one with kinect and apple TV
I am 27 years old and I will be starting a PhD at UNSW Canberra this July. Born and raised in India, I have had some experience travelling and living in foreign countries, but I will be in Australia for the very first time. I am very excited about moving to Australia for my higher studies. What would make me a good tenant to have and an easy person to live with? I am hardworking, kind, polite, and agreeable. Additionally, I am a literature student, a strict adherent of the dictum 'cleanliness is godliness', a yoga-enthusiast, non-smoker, non-allergic to animals, and greatly appreciative of foreign cultures.
I live in Melbourne, but I am moving to Canberra to study at ANU. I move out of my current place on the 6th of July and Uni starts the 23rd, so looking to move in during that period, but flexible with dates, though the earlier the better. I finished a BSc in Psychology last year and will be studying Law at ANU. I like to read, write, play music, travel, and get chatty over a drink. I mostly get around by bike, occasionally go indoor bouldering. Good in the kitchen, plenty of experience in sharehouses. Non-smoker, don't own pets, but happy to live with them. Looking for somewhere not too far from ANU.
Hey! I'm Claire and I'd say I'm a really easy going person who is tidy, organised, friendly and social, but also respects personal space. I love being outdoors, travelling and playing with animals. I'm a full time uni student and work part time and am looking for a place somewhere near the city and the ANU campus.
I have just graduated from ANU. I am an international student from Singapore. I love watching comedy shows , my favourite being Brooklyn- nine nine. I love chocolate and dancing. I studied psychology and management at ANU . I like my own time but happy to hang out as well! I am a tidy person and like to keep my surroundings clean.
I‘m Katrina, currently in Canberra to do an internship at the Austrian Embassy. As I extend my stay, I'm looking for a shared house/apartment by mid August. I’m a 26 year old graduate (sociology and communication) who enjoys a good glass of wine and netflix marathons, as much as exploring the city and socialise. I am looking for a flat with fun roommates to have a chat after work, cook dinner sometimes and go out on the weekends occassionslly. I am a tidy and respectful person with six years of flatsharing experience and a good sense for privacy and individual space. Hit me up if you think I'd be suitable to join your house and we could have a chat over coffee :)
I’m a fulltime law/science student at ANU just coming back from an exchange in Scotland, and a bit of a holiday round Europe. I’m tidy, polite, like a bit of socialising but enjoy keeping to myself too.
I'm 30 years old, work full time and have lived in several share-house settings before. I'm moving from Brisbane to begin a new job in Canberra and looking for a place to stay. I'm friendly, neat and responsible and always up for good conversations and wine. At the same time, I'm respectful of others' space and privacy. Like reading, keeping fit and eating clean.
Hi! I'm an APS graduate looking for a new place since my lovely current housemates are both coupling up. I'm originally from Melbourne, living in Lyneham and would love to stay in north Canberra, within ~30 minute cycling distance of work in NewActon. As a housemate I'm very friendly, considerate and reasonably tidy. I keep very busy, but I love a friendly housemate debrief at the end of the day. I'm vego but I don't care what other people cook or eat. I've lived in sharehouses for many years with great friendly/respectful vibes and I'd love to find that again in my next place. I come with a very cute and well behaved 9 year old Maltese x Cavalier doggo. She sleeps all day so she doesn't take up much space, and is very loving and friendly once she knows you. She is a wonderful tenant, doesn't shed and comes with great references from my current and previous properties. I'm hoping to move somewhere by the 12th of July. Hoping to hear from anyone who thinks their place might be a good fit!
25 year-old recent graduate working fulltime. Looking for a place for myself and my very friendly indoor cat Cairo, preferably within the inner-north or Belconnen areas. I like to get out of the house on weekends and keep pretty quiet during the week. I like living with housemates that want to get to know each other, but am conscious of the need for downtime. Always on time with bills/rent etc.
Hello! I'm Lilian and I am moving to Canberra from Sydney for work so I'm looking for a place to move into. I clean up after myself, am considerate of others, and enjoy socialising and having a laugh as well as having some downtime on my own. I also love going for walks, reading and trying my hand at cooking new recipes.
I have pretty simple needs and I keep things pretty straightforward. I usually manage all my priorities by my self like cooking, cleaning etc and sticking to the household necessities. I like occasional amiable chit chats with flatmates as long as everybody is in their comfort zone. I'll be graduating from ANU in mid-July so I need an accommodation somewhere around that time. ** If it sounds like we can work out things, drop me a message and I'll respond**
I am technical manager working for a global software company. I am currently based in Auckland but recently accepted a new role in our Canberra office so in the process of moving over. I am a young at heart guy in my forties used to working and socialising with young people in their mid to late twenties. When I am not working I enjoy going to the gym, walks, bike rides, fishing, diving, boating and will probably get back into skiing now too. I enjoy a good conversation over a strong coffee or a social evening drink. I love red wine and Italian food, either out at a restaurant or preparing it myself at home for friends and family. I am a people person, very clean / tidy and get along with people in all situations, I am easy to be around and respectful of others. I have just had an offer accepted to purchase a two bedroom apartment in Braddon so now need temporary accomodation for the next month or so until I move in. Once I am in my new place I will also be looking for a flatmate to join me in early August once I have fully furnished it.
Hi, I'm Ash and I'll be moving to Canberra mid July to start university in August. I'm interested in finding some people to lease a 2-3 bedroom place with. I spend a lot of my spare time gardening, making things, hiking and rock climbing. I've had plenty of experience with flat shares over the years. As a housemate I'm tidy, clean, and love a good chat. I tend to maintain a busy lifestyle but every now and then enjoy the occasional down time at home.
I'm a student from Canada, beginning my Masters at ANU in International Relations. I'm very responsible and enjoy keeping a clean house. I'm also very much on the quiet side, though I'm always open to hanging out, especially going on hikes or camping. My hobbies include: - Reading, though mostly non-fiction - Music (I also really love headphones so if you jam with those, I'm about it) - Nintendo games, Super Smash bros and Pokemon in particular, though I can't say no to a rousing session of Mario Kart - I also love cartoons and animated movies (I have very strong feelings about Toy Story 3 beating out The Illusionist for best animated film), so if you need someone to talk to for hours about Gravity Falls or the Avatar (the Airbenders, not the blue people) then look no further! - I'm into hiking and camping as well - I wish I knew how to play the cello, or really any instrument but suffer from a lack of competency with instruments, and have been meaning to get into gardening but sadly have never had a garden to work with :l - I have decently strong opinions about emojis, and am not a fan of the iOS  and stand by the fact that twitter emojis are the best I really love life and have 100% faith that we live in the best of times and that the times are always getting better. My visa application to move to Australia mentioned that I want to try a sausage sanga, which isn't particularly relevant but I think it's a good thing to mention since I would really love to grab one and have a beer, if you're down.
