$600/week•31 year old man and non-binary
We are a queer/neurodivergent/disabled couple looking for 1 or 2 similar people to start a new lease with. We are ideally looking for other neurodivergent / disabled folk of any flavour or combination - we are both autistic and adhd ourselves and have varying accomodations so we will mesh best with other ND people. Preferably looking for other lgbtqia+ 🌈 people however not a deal-breaker.
Living situation 🏡: we are looking for a 3-4 bedroom house (but also open to a 3 bedroom apartment) that is pet-friendly (we’d love to get a cat, or accomodate someone who already has an animal). While we are a couple, we both like to have our own bedrooms/space and value spending time on our own.
Some things to consider about us as housemates! 🕺🏻 We are:
- Generally quiet 🤫 and like to keep things chill when we’re at home (sometimes Ben can be a big yapper, that’s nothing some direct communication can’t solve). We don’t host parties and, when we do have people over, we prefer low-key gatherings.
- Clean and tidy 🧼, and prefer to keep our living spaces clear and hygienic (we also understand that disabilities affect this, so while we’re generally pretty tidy we also get burnt out/have flare ups and accomodate each other around this).
- Disabled, and both use medical cannabis 🍃 with vapes (so no smoke). We don’t vape in common/shared areas, and keep it contained to well-ventilated bedrooms.
- Direct communicators 🗣️, we are both autistic and therefore communicate in a very direct and transparent way, so are looking for people who are also comfortable with this to ensure we understand each other and can be up front and honest about any concerns or issues.
About us as individuals:

- I have chronic pain + am in a severe period of autistic burnout so spend a lot of my time at home resting + recovering.
- I work in retail part time (Monday, Tuesday, Friday every week).
- I generally stay up late and sleep in late. I try keep quiet at night + appreciate people doing the same in the mornings.
- I spend most of my time at home in my room but I’m also down to watch movies / do art / play board games
- I like to read, I LOOOVE zines, making art, watching movies (horror + stop motion are my fav), go thrifting and collecting weird things.
BEN 31
- Works in disability & support sector as a support worker.
- Loves writing, drawing, video games.
- Chronic yapper, however is very mindful of people's tolerances
- Also spends a fair amount of time at home, but intends on actively engaging with community once I move out.
- Likes to be walked at least once a day.
