Hello! My name is Anuja, I am from Bangalore, India. Currently doing my master's at ANU. I am looking for a place to stay starting in June/July for at least 6 months (will mostly extend that to more than a year). I am looking for a room in a share house/flat. Please get in touch with me if you have anything available or if you just want to know more about me.
Hi there, I'm male, 35 years old and have recently arrived in Canberra to work with the APS. My professional background is in IT - though I consider myself very atypical in my field, I prefer working and talking with people than technology. I'm a friendly social being who enjoys cooking dinner and watching a show with others whilst also enjoying my own quiet time. I'm quite clean and always respectful of others. I enjoy hiking/nature and travelling around to new places, as well as fitness activities like Yoga and cycling. On the weekends I enjoy going out for brunch and having a beer or two with friends, going for a bike ride or a hike. I've had lots of interesting life experiences including having lived in Toronto, Canada for 9 years and have just recently come back from 6 months living in Peru. Hope to hear from you soon. Warm Regards, Cezary
Hello. My name is Daniel, I'm 22, and I am looking for a place to live. I'm current in my last semester of studying part time at UC and I also work full time in retail (the dream). I like musical theatre, reading, gaming, weekends away, napping, and binge watching tv watching shows in my downtime. I work most weekends, but I am always happy to have a chat over a drink/dinner or whatever every now and then when I am home. I would say I am a relaxed but reliable, and tidy person who is respectful of other people and their personal space. I’m looking for somewhere close to the City/Belconnen/Gungahlin areas, but I would be chill with anywhere close to a bus stop with access to the City. If you want to know more just ask! I can provide rental references for the last few years. I’m also open to team ups. :)
Hey ! My name is Jade I'm a 21yo female looking to team up and start a new house or move into an existing. I'm extremely tidy and I keep to myself however I am a friendly laid back person who's pretty easy to get along with & chat to ! I have an 11yo medium sized dog who is the love of my life, she's extremely friendly towards all humans and animals however I am allergic to cats so I can't live with one. I work 9-5 at a dog groomers in south side on weekdays so I am pretty much gone all day. Looking to move in around may as I'm currently in Belconnen & it's just not the place for me. Message me
Hi, I'm Terrence, an international student from China. I am 25 years old guy and this is my sixth year at Australia. A respectful, positive, easy going, tidy and clean person. I like to do sports and reading in my casual time, or just hanging out with some friends. I will move to Canberra for studying and working at the end of this April, so I am looking for a place where close to Canberra city, have a good combination of socializing and peace and quiet. Get in touch!
I'm an Australian male in his mid-30s who moved back to Canberra a few months ago. I have funding for about 2 years to do research, broadly in the area of sustainability, at the ANU. I'm a quiet but friendly guy happy for a chat or a shared dinner but also respectful of others' personal space. Favourite hobbies are outdoor activities (hiking, skiing, climbing, etc.) and dancing (lindy hop and blues). I am vegetarian but OK with meat being cooked in the same house! I've previously sharehoused in Canberra and Germany. The last couple of years I've been living by myself (in Sweden, where sharehouses are not so common) and while it's nice I do miss having people around!
Originally from Melbourne, I'm a public servant looking for a homey share house close to work. As a housemate, I'm generally reserved but like to chat and have friends over occasionally. Our idea of fun is board games over coffee. In the week I tend to stay out and keep busy in the evenings, and I usually spend weekends at home doing chores. I might make a bit of noise with my acoustic guitar occasionally, other hobbies are soccer, reading and (surprise) Netflix (not a surprise). I value house etiquette and when everyone shares the load with cleaning and house management. Indeed, I'm at a stage in my life where a pile of dirty dishes bother me. Looking for 6 months or longer, the longer the better I suppose. Happy to answer queries, can be flexible for inspection times :)
I'm a full time arts communications specialist who loves all the good stuff. Plants! Cooking! Books! Delicious wine! Too much Netflix! I'm friendly, reliable, happy to chat or chill, and have a long track record of being a great housemate. I'm looking for a long term living situation in a house that feels like home.
About to relocate from Sydney to the big smoke (Canberra). I don't have grand ideas for the type of room I'm looking for, but I definitely want to move into a place with flatmates that I vibe with. Looking for some cool people who aren't opposed to the occasional bottle of wine, slice of/whole pizza and other general good times. As a housemate I'm very chilled and easy to be around. I always clean up after myself (although my room can sometimes be a mess) and am always keen to get out of the house.
Hi from Canada (the country of maple syrup, hockey and igloos)! I will be moving to Canberra at the end of August and I am looking for a place to live for 6 months. I will be working at ANU as a postdoctoral research associate, so I am hoping to find a place within walking or biking distance to the university. This will be my first time visiting Australia, so I am hoping to fully experience aussie life :)
Hey flatmate hunters! I'm looking for a flatmate to team up with to find a place. I'm also open to taking a room in an established place. You would be moving in with me, and a 5 month old Border Collie puppy called Pepper. I've lived in Canberra for the past couple of years, working in international affairs. Before that, I was overseas in the UK and Netherlands for a couple of years working with a human rights NGO. Don't judge me, but I'm originally from Adelaide. Being a proud dad to a Border Collie pup keeps me pretty busy. Otherwise, I'm pretty active and love being outdoors - playing sport, camping, hiking, snowboarding (not always well!). I love watching football (round and oval ball), and binging on netflix. I've just finished season 4 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, so open to suggestions!! What I'm looking for... Ideally I'm looking to team up with one other person to find a 2 or 3 bed place in the inner north or south. As I've got a Border Collie puppy, so I'm looking for somewhere with a reasonable sized (and fully secure) courtyard/backyard, which allows pets and a housemate who likes dogs. I'm willing to pay up to $300pw. I’d like to live in a house that feels more like a home, with someone who's keen to hang out and socialise, but who wont get offended when I occasionally look to chill on my own! I’ve got most of the necessary furniture - though anyone in possession of a washing machine and/or fridgewill be highly regarded! ☺ Give me a shout if you're interested in teaming up to find a flat, or if you think I'd be suitable for your current place! Cheers, Trystan
We are New Zealanders new to Canberra and to Australia. Izzy started her Masters in Environmental Science at the ANU in February (been flatting in a single room in Narrabundah) and Dave is moving over at the beginning of June. Izzy studies full-time and Dave works in sales. We like road trips, camping, and hiking, but also watching movies, going out for dinner, Netflix, cooking. Dave really likes video games and Izzy likes caring about the environment. We've been living together for four years (until the last six months) and have been flatting for 5-6 years so we're house-trained, respectful, and tolerant. We're happy to be social or not, we're good at going with the flow :)
Hi! I'm a third year ANU student and part-time staffer looking for a sharehouse for when I get back from exchange in July. I'm looking for a friendly and social group of roommates who enjoy having a chat and sharing an occasional meal together, while of course respecting the need for personal space. I'm pretty easygoing, considerate and tidy. I love travel, hiking, the occasional game of tennis and healthy baking. While I'm often quite busy between uni and part-time work, I'm always up to share activities like these when there's time! Move in date flexible :) Feel free to get in touch!
Hi! I'm Roshen from Sri Lanka. I'll be studying at ANU mid-June 2018 onwards and I intend to work on a part-time basis. I have attended few international conferences and have worked with people from different nationalities and cultures, I have been able to move along with them easily. Therefore, I have no trouble in mingling with people from different backgrounds and I am sociable and friendly. I am the sort who won't trouble anyone and prefer helping whenever needed. I value peace of mind and hence, am neat and organized. I love listening to classical music and a fan of swimming.
Hey there! I'm a 21-year-old student looking for accommodation in Canberra's Inner North starting mid/late April. The past six months I've taken a break from ANU to work in Sydney and now I'm thoroughly over the rental prices/lack of cylindrical bus stops and looking to return to the motherland and start studying once again. I'd consider myself pretty easy going and friendly, happy to hang out or give some space, as I am independent and respect others' privacy. I'm conscious of being tidy but not too bothered if others aren't clean freaks. If I'm not studying/working I like going to the gym or the movies, or hanging out at mates' places nearby. Hoping to find some likeminded and friendly people to live with - preferably roomies who don't judge my lacklustre cooking skills and poor taste in reality TV. Looking for something long-term - ideally 12+ months (I'm two years into a double degree, so I'm gonna be here a while!).
We are a young polite couple who are both social but enjoy time to ourselves. We are clean and tidy and respectful of our housemates. I (Damon) am a chef working full time and Kristina works part time and is studying nursing. We cant wait to meed you and i'm sure we will get along great.
Zoom in and I apparently look like a psycho If I could sort this out a couple of months in advance, from England, then that would be kindly appreciated. I am tidy and I know how to make vegan quiche. I am an ex-dealer (the legal casino kind) and a big fan of Planet earth. Although I have to keep my head down and work hard, I enjoy a boogie but if it's even slightly cold I'm in bed by 1am (on a good night). I have no criminal record... Except once in Berlin, I opened a car door and a cyclist crashed into it - all resolved now though. It wasn't on purpose - I am a big fan of cyclists and I no longer like doors.
Hello! I'm looking to start a new share house around the start of july, and invite keen participants to make contact. Ideally, looking for two others to go house hunting, find a new spacious place, and setup a comfy home for us all. About me : I'm an experienced house-sharer, considerate of others, clean, respectful, social / independent. Creative and inquisitive soul... Enjoy the outdoors, travelling, going on hikes, photography, nature, reading, seeing live music, catching up with friends, music festivals, eating (fairly) healthy. Prefer a nice, relaxed and reasonably quiet household where one can unwind and rest and sleep without interruption. Enjoy reading and listening to music, watching TV some nights (ABC / SBS / Netflix), playing acoustic guitar, tinkering around with creative musical projects, sharing a meal now and then, etc... Home Life : I enjoy social time when living with others but also value my own space. I like to keep things fairly clean, but i'm not a clean freak. Most of my friends are aged in their mid 30s to mid 40s so sharing around that age group would suit. Have basic furniture - couches, fridge, bed, TV, table, etc... If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Cheers Anthony.
Hi there, My beautiful old sharehouse in Dickson is being knocked down *sad face*. I work a three part time jobs, and pay bills/keep communal areas tidy/respect common property/clean/do do good things/dont do bad things/treat people who live next to me like they're my neighbour. I am into science, rockclimbing, camping, folk festivals and I am a muso. DW, my equipment comes with all important headphones! I am sociable, but happy to take downtime when I need. I'm always up for group dinners/hangs/movies/bevvies/tea, a house which feels like a home is important to me. Hit me up, I need somewhere to live!
I have recently graduated from ANU and I currently work part-time in the city. I'm from the South Coast, so love swimming and the beach. I also enjoy reading and going to see some live music when possible. I am a nice, tidy, friendly person who is always up for a chat/dinner/drinks/board games but I also like some time to myself. I currently live in a sharehouse in Ainslie, which I've been in for a few years so I know all the ins-and-outs of shared living and how to have a great time without stepping on toes!
Hi there, I am a final year building design student at CIT and work part-time. I am a relaxed and considerate person. Have already been to some shared houses and pretty much familiar with the rules. I am looking for a room preferably in or around the city but I am comfortable to live almost anywhere in Canberra. Feel free to contact me anytime.
Hi, I am fifty six and get along with people of all ages; most of my friends are in their thirties. I have lived in few share places, with some friends and also did some house-sitting over the last four years. I like to socialise and spend time with friends. I plan to do study next year. In the past I have done counselling, retail, public service work as well as self-publishing five books on Amazon. I like music gigs, art and movies and I guess you could call me a spiritual person. I have been involved in the LGBTQI community and also with the Refugee Action Committee. I am just overcoming chronic fatigue and I have a peripheral vision loss but am quite functional. I hope to find the right people in the right place. Thank you.
