I need to relocate from country NSW as I have stable work in a bar in Dickson and the driving is killing me! Im clean and tidy, like to socialise but am pretty quiet and not into the party scene. I like sports, movies and a good (or bad) joke
The house is a recently renovated heritage listed property on a leafy street in Ainslie. One of our housemates has just moved out and we now have a room available. The house has zoned heating and cooling and modern wood combustion fireplaces (indoor and out), pool, outdoor entertaining area, decent sized veggie patch, close to shops and bus stop. The house is large with bedrooms at either end of the house. There are two separate living areas and separate entrances. There is also a kitchenette in addition to the main kitchen pictured. The light filled bedroom has a built in wardrobe, solid double brick walls and fits a queen sized bed.
Hello, I am a tidy and quiet person, and I enjoy chatting with people. I am a professional structural engineer. I like watching movies and documentaries, playing computer games and do exercise. I'm looking for a flatshare and have a budget of $250 per week. If you are interested in my profile, please get in touch. Thank you
I like books, camping, composing, interesting chats and funny people. I'm a part time piano teacher, and full time student entering my final semester of Politics Philosophy and Economics / BMus. In my free time I love to jam. Last year I was Woroni's International sub-editor, this year I am focusing more on study. I'm overseas right now but ask for my Skype, and shoot by any questions. I don't bite :)
Hello future flatmates! I'm a final year Arts/Law student and I work full time at a publishing firm at Parliament House. After deferring uni last semester to undertake an internship in Berlin, I'm looking for a new place to call home as soon as possible! You’ll find me to be an upbeat, uncomplicated, tidy and considerate housemate. I really love to cook and I enjoy a good chat (with or without a glass of red wine). When I’m not baking or cooking up a storm for friends and loved ones (housemates included!), I’m either volunteering, reading books, watching foreign films, learning new languages, trying out new restaurants, at the gym, going out for walks (and purposely getting lost to find cool stuff!) or travelling. While I’m just as happy to be alone doing any of the aforementioned things, I’m always happy to have company too. Looking forward to hearing from you and creating Canberra's most fabulous sharehouse!
Hi, I'm Matvey I'm studying Philosophy at the ANU. I love music and just walking around and exploring places. I do some amateur photography and printmaking. I speak good Japanese and have lived in Kyoto and Sapporo I'm very quiet and tend to keep to myself. I'm not great at small talk but I like socializing and would really like to live in a friendly household where we are all honest and sincere with eachother I'm vegan and would also very much prefer to live with other vegans/vegetarians. Cool with pets. Cleaning rosters, group dinners etc, all cool. I come with a pair of guitar amps, but we can work to set up appropriate playing times/volume levels If I sound like a good fit for your place send me a message :) Also super keen on setting up a new sharehouse, if others are keen. ((I don't use social media, but rest assured I am a real person)) Peace!
Seeking a female housemate to share with two other female professionals in a townhouse in Ainslie. The townhouse is spacious and recently renovated. Large backyard and modern bathroom. Fully furnished except for the bedroom though there is a queen size bed available if you are interested. Walking distance from Ainslie and Dickson shops, 10 minute drive from the city with bus access to all locations.
Hey there, I am Thomas. I grew up in Paris and studied Earth Sciences in both Paris and Zürich (five months). For the next three to four years I will be studying at the Research School of Earth Sciences of the ANU as a PhD candidate. I am definitely easy-going, love listening to music, enjoy meeting up and partying with friends as well as watching movies or playing games. Not the best cook, expect me to try, but success is not always there ! Most importantly I would say, always paying attention to others and ready to give a hand !
Hi there, I'm moving to Canberra for work as a journalist. I am originally from Sydney but have been living in Melbourne for two years. Work is going to be pretty full on for me so I won't be around all that much. I love to chill out to a drink or head out for a few at a pub on a Friday or Saturday night. Sports fan, mostly NRL and cricket but my time in Melbourne taught me a thing or two about AFL. Overall I'm really chilled and easygoing to live with and just looking for people who clean up after themselves. Hope to hear from you. Greg
Hi, I'm Gillian! I've been in Canberra for 6 months, originally from Melbourne and working full-time in the APS. I'm very easy to live with, clean and respectful. Happy to have the odd drink or meal with housemates, but equally happy doing my own thing. Food (or perhaps eating) is my calling - I love finding new places to eat, enjoy reading in my spare time, attempting to grow plants and spending the odd pyjama day on the couch binging on trashy tv. Ideally I'd like to live with someone like minded, but am pretty flexible in who that or they may be. I don't have much furniture wise (other than for my room), but have plenty of handy bits and pieces for around the house.
A little about myself: I'm a 21 year old arts student in the final year of my bachelors at ANU. I consider myself pretty easygoing and uncomplicated; I'm not a neatfreak but I'm tidy and know how to clean up after myself. Happy contribute to keeping common areas in a good state too. My interests float all over the place, but at the moment I'm into photography, reading, philosophy, film, and the outdoors. I like to cook vegetarian food, and love sharing a good meal and a chinwag. Equally, I'm happy doing my own thing and enjoying a stimulating read, or singing and strumming (quietly!) about on my acoustic guitar. I'm a pretty sociable person, and enjoy an occasional beer or glass of wine.I cycle basically everywhere and have learned a thing or two about basic bicycle maintenance, if ever there is a need. I've previously lived in shared accommodation of varying sizes. While I'm studying, I work casually to support myself. I have few other expenses, so my financial situation is pretty steady. I'm looking for a lease of atleast 6 months, until I graduate from my bachelors. After that, I'm not entirely sure what my plans are. I will likely stick around in Canberra and do a few internships or continue studying. Ideally looking for somewhere in the Inner North, but I'm flexible provided it's within cycling distance of the ANU! Cheers :)
Hey. I am Aditi, a decent Indian female, about 22 years old, starting postgraduate studies at ANU in July, looking for a room / place to stay for at least 6 months (preferably longer) starting 30 July. I am friendly, helpful and easy to live with. I am financially stable and have no difficulties paying the rent and bills. I am neat and tidy and usually keep to myself, though am always up for a chat and enjoy occasional outings. I love to read books, watch films and TV shows, and enjoy travelling.
I work in technology-public sector. I'm a project manager. I'm looking for a furnished apartment. I'm pretty active, enjoy jogging and aerobics. I like reading and enjoy good music. On weekends I like to hangout, drink good coffee and eat good food. I also travel to Sydney regularly on weekends.
Hey, I am full time PhD student at ANU. Most of the time is expected to be at university. Currently i am living in Brisbane so Canberra will be a new place for me to live. I am open minded and friendly. Also like to hang out with friends and traveling. I don't drink or smoke, but i use to go out with friends to explore new places. I would like to have my own space sometimes while respecting other's values. If someone wants to have a great and supportive friend, housemate then text me.
I am currently studying philosophy and sociology at the ANU. I was born on the Gold Coast and remained there until the age of 17. I am friendly and hold a wide range of interests. I enjoy cycling, reading, music as well as meeting new and interesting people. I am well suited to most living environments, having stayed in multiple places throughout my time as a student.
Hi there, I've relocated to Canberra to continue studying and working. I would like to find an awesome new home for the next 6 months to a year, or longer. I'm very tidy, clean and organised, enjoy hanging out with my housemates and also enjoy quiet time. I value personal space/privacy and completely respect others. I'd like to move asap. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you need any more information.
Hi! Im Anja. I am a clean, hardworking individual. I spend much of my time outdoors, hiking and exercising with my best friend fisher who is an 8 month old border collie. He is trained by me, incredibly well natured, smart, loyal and obedient. I'd love to live somewhere rural as the open spaces, fresh air, peace and quiet is all I'm after. If you live on a property and need a helping hand out in the fields I'm more than capable of hard work. If you have sheep, I'd love to train my border collie to herd. He would be fantastic! otherwise just looking for a spacious place in the burbs. I work 5 days a week from 9-5. friends of mine look after fisher for two of my working days and my folks often take him to the beach. Thanks for the consideration.
We're looking for a friendly new housemate to join us at our Duffy St home! Right now we've got a pretty good thing going. We get along, like to hang out, and are courteous of each others space. Our loaction is ideal- 3 min ride from the city, around the corner from the forever cultural lonsdale street, and back onto Mt Ainslie nature reserve. The house is roomy and full of green shed wonders (all smell fine and are of good taste). We are hoping to find someone that can contribute to the good vibes that make our house feel like a home. If you can include some brief information about yourself that will really help, great puns and skateboarding skills are a bonus! The room is reasonably sized and fits a queen bed and bedside table. There is a big built in wardrobe with shelving plus there is space in the garage for extra storage if you need. The room currently has a queen bed in there that you can use, or we can take it out if you have your own. There is a shared bathroom with a separate toilet. There are two big windows, one that has a view over to black mountain. The room is pretty private as it is the only one down the south end of the house. There is heating and cooling throughout the whole house. Just to clarify regarding bills:Rent is $200 p/wk, the room will be free early August (negotiable between 6-13th), we split bills equally which is usually around $100 - $150 a quarter, and internet is $14.50 p/month.
