I work part time in the public service, am studying a masters and open to new friendships out of the experience since anyone who helps me out is likely to be super awesome!! Im originally from brisbane so don't have a family couch to crash on.
Hello there! I am a graduate student studying natural resource conservation, I'm studying on the U.S. mainland but am originally from Hawaii. I'll be in Canberra for a research fellowship at ANU from June through early August. I'm an experienced traveller (Chile, Argentina, Antarctica in the last year, more before that) and very independent, but I also like to hang out and cook or have a drink. I will be pretty focused on my studies but hope to explore the recreation areas around Canberra a bit, and maybe try to escape to Tasmania for a few days. I'm a pretty quiet housemate, I know how to be an adult and clean my dishes, sweep, etc. I do like to cook (though not a lot of fried foods) so it would be helpful to find a place a with a kitchen.
Hi there, I am a PhD student and Sports Dietitian. Sticking around Canberra for the next 3 years. I have a little cat, but she is very tidy and fully toilet trained. I am fairly quiet and respectful, but friendly. Looking for a chilled/friendly place to live :)
I'm currently a full time postgraduate student at ANU. Well, I was born, raised, educated and challenged in Phnom Penh, Cambodia before moving here. I originally wanted to keep living and challenging in my home country, but then later became interested in traveling and learning different culture and thought it would be better to do so through thriving in a different society with diversity and appreciating a simpler way of living. Up until now, I've been in Canberra for nearly two weeks, and I am still looking for a place to move in since I am currently living in a temporary accommodation. I promise to be a good tenant who will make an on time payment and will take care of your house as my own. Besides, I am not a drinker and a smoker, but a follower who will try all my best to meet the landlord's requirements.
I am a 22 year old IT professional who works at a Television production company in the city. I'm clean and tidy, and have lived with room mates in the past, so I can share a bathroom without leaving the toilet seat up or my towel on the floor. Im very easy to get along with, and am more than up for a chat, however I do respect some personal space and quiet time. There would be a couple of upsides to living with me: - I'm mildly handy. I can fix all sorts of broken things around the house. - I work in IT so free tech support for you. - I don't mind doing something in the garden if I have to. - I hate late bills, so you'll always have rent and bills paid on time. Overall I am a well grounded mature person, and if you think I might be a good fit around at your place please don't hesitate to drop me a message or give me a call.
I am a 23 year old male currently working at the Australian institute of sport looking for accommodation preferably around bruce or belconnen. i have recently moved to the ACT from VICTORIA. I am a non smoker although i am not bothered by smoking, i have no pets and no children. I am a very clean and tidy person and i am pretty easy to get along with. if this sounds like someone you could see yourself living with please feel free to contact ether on this site or by mobile
Hi! My name is Nina, I'm 24 years old. I have just been offered a full-time job in Canberra working for an international aid organisation. I'm moving down from Sydney for the job, so will be very new to the Canberra area. During the week, I like to go out for dinner or drinks, but I'm equally satisfied having a quiet night in. I'm a very social person, on the weekends I spend my time catching up with friends and exploring new restaurants and bars. I'm looking for some friendly housemates who will help me settle into my new life in Canberra!
I'm an Engineer originally from Tassie. Pretty laid back guy, I enjoy chats, watching movies, going bowling, playing games, playing music or just hanging out. I'm a pretty solid cook, I love hosting get togethers and cooking up a feast. Also I'm an early riser, early to bed type, and I don't tend to come home at all hours of the morning. My girlfriend Katie (who is wonderful by the way) would be coming to stay as well 1-2 nights per week. She is add value for sure and just finishing up her honours at ANU. I guess I am keen for a social house, but also a clean one, just in public areas mainly. I guess shoot me a message and we can go from there!
Hi there! I'm Tash, I'm 21 and currently in my third (but not quite my last) year studying International Relations and French at ANU. I'm a born and raised Canberra girl, and am looking to move out of home in order to be closer to uni and work (part-time as a swim instructor/coach). I spend quite a bit of time out and about, and can often be found either swimming or at the gym, but I also love to chill out with Netflix and a cup of tea (T2 New York Breakfast, if you're interested). I am a music lover with a taste for all genres, the only strong aversion I have is country music... a year spent on a Midwest college campus in the U.S. did nothing to help this situation. I like to keep organised, which helps my productivity and mindspace (a must when it comes to assessment period) but I am very easygoing and always happy to help out around the house in any way possible! I'd love a long-term place to live, and am flexible with move in dates. Please don't hesitate to get in touch, I'd love to hear from you!
Up for rent are two bedrooms in a beautiful old house in the historic area of Ainslie. The house is light and bright and has a huge backyard with a big veggie garden and a charismatic group of chickens and ducks. It is also walking distance to Lonsdale St Braddon, Civic, Ainslie shops and Mt Ainslie nature reserve. The house is spacious with a lovely big kitchen and seperate dining/living rooms. There is an open fire place, perfect for cosy winter nights, and ducted heating throughout the house to keep warm. The bathroom is shared but is modern and spacious with a nice big shower. There is also an extra toilet on the outside verandah and a laundry outside, too. Bills will be split evenly: unlimited internet, electricity, gas and water. Rent is payable fortnightly.
My name is Jeroen, 24 springs young. I arrived in Canberra 4 weeks ago and have been living in the hostel since. I came here to do my internship at the Embassy of the Netherlands. Although the hostel is far from perfect, the one thing I like is that it's a 'shared' house. I've been meeting people from Botswana to South-Korea. Back home (in Amsterdam) I used to live with roommates, and that's what I'm looking for in a place here. Sooo, like I said, I'll be working 40 hours a week, but I do like my beer after a hard day of work. I reserve my free time for cooking (I was a chef (!)), travelling, and I bought a guitar last week haha. And ofcourse, as a real Dutchie, I am at my happiest when I ride my bicycle. I can come over any evening this week to have a chat and take a look at the room. Cheers, Jeroen Janssen
Hi there, My name is Roseli, l'm 34 years (l know, doesn't look like :P). I currently live in Sydney, however you move to Canberra soon. I am very respectful with others, friendly, responsible, tidy and easy going person and I'm always up for a chat or a laugh. I'm looking for nice people with similar qualities to be housemates and friends with :) Moreover, l don't smoke, l like arts, sports, travelling, nature, beach and l love baking. I look forward to hear from you soon! Cheers, Roseli J.
Hi, I am currently studying at Canberra Makeup Academy. I am from Batlow NSW and work there packing apples. I also bar-tend part time. I like being social and going out on the weekends but stay pretty quiet during the week. I am friendly and easy to get along with so would like to live with people the same. I really love travelling, going on adventures and doing new things. :) I am new to Canberra so would love to make some new friends.
Hi, I'm a 21 year old female student in my 3rd year of science at ANU. My interests include soccer, snowboarding, reading, weekend adventures (when I can get out of Canberra), and procrasti-cleaning during exam time. I also love animals (especially cats), so if you have pets I'm your gal! I'm looking to move into a relaxed share house that's close(ish) to ANU. I'm a very easy person to live with, having been in share houses for the last two years. I'd like to sign a lease for at least the next year or so. I'm quiet, respectful and clean, but also enjoy catching up with house mates of a night for a chat (definitely not a party girl though, much prefer quiet nights in watching movies). I'm always willing to contribute to cleaning and will never leave areas messy. Please feel free to get in contact with me :) Thanks!

There is a small deck and yard for BBQ's and plenty of room to entertain or just enjoy some down time. Your room has built in cupboards and its own bathroom bathroom and toilet.
