I am laid back, friendly and tidy. I've recently finished a master's in ecology and am moving to Canberra from Geelong for the ACTPS grad program. I love getting outdoors and also paint, read , swing dance and bushwalk in my free time. I am a vegetarian non-smoker and love animals (but I don't have any pets). I am seeking to share a house with like minded people. Flick me a message if you think I might suit your house 😁
Hey! I'm a 2nd year science student at ANU looking for a new place to live! I'm really friendly, clean, respectful and keep to myself but am always willing to be social! I'm easy going and think of myself as a very versatile flatmate 😊
Hi! I'm going into my third year of study at ANU and looking for somewhere to live! Coming out of a residential college I'm used to being social but also keen to have some personal space. I currently work part-time bartending so my hours some days can be a bit off but I try my best not to be too loud or distracting if I'm up and about. I also try my best to be clean and tidy, having lived in a residential college I'm used to shared environments and know what is necessary to keep things smooth running. I like to think of myself as an optimistic and fun-loving person. Animal loving, netflix watching, wine drinking student who doesn't mind a night out. I'm from Sydney so I do disappear every couple of weekends to go home., but over all I'll either be killing time at uni or procrastinating in bed. Overall, I'm easy going and happy to talk/live with anyone, I'd think of myself as a very versatile flatmate. Courtney :)
Hello, we are both studying at ANU. Edmund loves to cook while I love to bake, which makes us the perfect housemates because the house will always smell of amazing food. We love watching movies and TV series in our free time. We are both clean and tidy so the house is always quite neat.
The house is situated in a quite and friendly area, in walking distance to both Dickson shops and Ainslie shops. it is a 4 minute walk from the bus stops and in a central location to ANU or UC. The room has a balcony attached where you can sit , relax and enjoy the view . It comes fully furnished.
I’m a full time UC student, currently in Law, but I’m starting a medical science degree next year. I work part time (but in reality 5-6 days a week), at a hotel, I will be working night shift as of November/December. I’m friendly and outgoing, with a good sense of humour and a kind nature. I enjoy having a drinks and dinner - but I respect personal space. I’m not new to share houses, so I know the basics. I spend most of my free time (whatever that is), studying or doing something active and outdoors. I’d prefer an LGTB+ household, and to live with people that are comfortable that I am gay.
Welcome to the skilodge! This beautiful little charmer is located in the quiet leafy suburb of Ainslie, only10 minutes walk to either, Ainslie or Dickson Shops; A 10 minute bike ride into Civic, or a 30 minute walk. The house is a little old but has a lot of charm. There is a huge backyard, ready to plant those summer veggies in! It location is perfect, so close to everything and is all in all just a great place to live!
I am an easy-going, enthusiastic, bubbly person who loves meeting new people. I am generous, dedicated and giving. I am studying Development Studies at ANU; to be able to help people who don't have the resources to help themselves. I have a passion for bringing out the best in people. I am really looking forward to moving out of student accomodation and living with some cool people that love to chat and hang out together in this gorgeous city. I am also super tidy and enjoy my down time too.
Hey everyone, I'm a 21 year old male from Brisbane that's looking to move down to Canberra to start work in the APS. I'm a pretty tidy and chill guy who enjoys watching sports, travelling, socialising and meeting new people. I am looking to move in with people around my own age and who share similar interests and have a place available from ~1 year. Send me a message if you think that we'd be a good match or have any questions! Thanks!
Beautiful large house in Ainslie, close to the shops and walking distance to Braddon. Lots of space and two separate living rooms, space to park in the driveway or garage if your car is not super big. All modern appliances and brand new furniture throughout the house, as I just moved back from overseas. Built-in large wardrobes in bedrooms. Bedroom can be taken furnished or unfurnished. Huge, gorgeous garden with wild tomatoes, a strawberry patch (in need of some re-planting) and lots of herbs. Rental price includes a professional gardener and a cleaner once a week. I am a UN-staffer in my early 30s. Love to cook and socialise. Always happy to have a chat, meal or glass of wine around the house, but also fairly independent. The other flatmate is a French teacher and is also friendly and relaxed. International students and others most welcome. :) Available 14 November - earlier can also be negotiated.
Hi I'm Will :) I've been living in Canberra for three years (Originally from Sydney) working in tech support. I'm a clean, friendly and respectful housemate who understands personal boundaries. I've been sharing accommodation the whole time I've been in Canberra and have a pretty good grasp on how to live with other people. Always down to share cooking duties / other household stuff. I'm looking for a place with easy access to bus routes to civic (I don't drive) so I'm looking around inner north Canberra. I'm looking for someone who's clean, responsible, respectful and friendly :) Love a chat and a drink I love electronic music :) I put on the odd gig and coordinate online streams and various other projects with artists from around the world. bonus points if you're into that kind of thing :)
I've lived out of home for about 3 years, I like to keep the house tidy and tend to procrasta-clean when studying. I have quite a lot of furniture that could be used in common areas. Work part-time in Gungahlin and Fyshwick, Study B. Heritage and Conservation the rest of the time at UC. Honestly, I'll have the occasional night out but am otherwise pretty quiet or not home. I'm happy to live in a situation where we hang out sometimes, share supplies and whatever else or, complete opposite end of the scale, happy to live completely separate lives under the same roof, doesn't bother me. I also have a 1 year old Kelpie cross Boxer, who's full of energy and very smart, so I'm looking for somewhere pet friendly preferably with a yard. I'm happy to live with other dogs too as shes very well socialized and loves other dogs, I walk her every day and am happy to take any extras on the walk too. So if you're also looking for a pet friendly place or have one available please get in touch!
Hi, I'm a student teacher finishing my masters in teaching. I'm relaxed and friendly :) I have a small spoodle (spaniel x poodle) named Digby. Because he is a poodle breed he does not shed fur. He's fully house-trained, pretty quiet and loves people. Ideally I'd like to find a place with a small yard for him to run around in. I work part-time and am also a free lance illustrator. My other interest is swing dancing, I generally spend two to three nights a week dancing.
My name is Michael, I am clean, tidy and understand and respect share areas of a house and pull my weight when it comes to cleaning. I have lived in share houses previously at uni in Newcastle and when I first moved to Canberra (2013). I have been living in my own apartment for the past 3 years. Currently I am in Reid and paying $410 a week (excluding bills), my rent and all bills have always been paid on time. Honestly looking for a share place to save some money. I work full-time in the APS. My work sometimes involves travelling so there may be points in time were I will be gone (but will still be paying rent/bills). I am pretty laid back and in my spare time like to be out and about with friends. Cheers, Michael
I'm an easy going, down to earth guy who loves his privacy and also like to socialise. A psychologist by profession and have lived and worked in London, Dubai, and India. I love to cook and bake as well. I'm looking for an LGBT friendly long-term accommodation preferably with ensuite bathroom.
I'm a keen cyclist, who works at the airport, and spends most of my spare time either on my bike or at the gym. Happy with pretty much anywhere as long as it has air conditioning and somewhere to put my car
I'm an engineer from Sydney moving to Canberra to work full-time. I am responsible, independent and clean up after myself. I'm pretty social most of the time but I also like some space to myself. I enjoy cooking all kinds of food and go to the gym on most days. I'm also a brass musician and practice once or twice per week. I will be working shifts for my job, so I will sometimes require some quiet throughout the day so that I can sleep.
One room for rent in Ainslie. This house is the epitome of luxury shared accommodation! There are two large living areas and a formal dining room. In the front living room, we have the beautiful open fireplace going all winter. In the back living area, we have even more space for socialising, with plenty of space for you to put in a desk for study and/or work. All the living areas face the deck (that has a swing!) that backs onto the high-hedged garden. Did we mention the pool? You will actually enjoy a Canberra summer once it comes around. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped with a dishwasher, gas stove and double oven plus plenty of storage space. Master Bedroom: The master is a spacious, light-filled room with expansive windows to the garden. The room will require furniture. This well-heated room is going for $210 per week. It is the room pictured. About the location: The property is a 3 minute walk to the Ainslie shops where there is an IGA, Edgar’s Inn (the local), a wanky French cafe etc. The house is literally a 1 minute walk from the bus stop in transit to either Civic or Belconnen. It’s an easy bike ride to the ANU and Civic and there is a sports field just down the road opposite the Ainslie Football Club. Extra info: Our rent includes monthly gardening and pool maintenance. Bills are be split evenly: unlimited internet, electricity (including pool), gas and water. Rent is payable fortnightly.
About to move to Canberra from Melbourne to take up a grad position. I have a small older friendly dog. I also have a house worths of furniture and am looking to start a share house with 1 other person. My lease in Melbourne ends NOV 8 so looking to find a place not too long after that before the uni and grad rush. I will probably be in canberra next week or the week after to look for houses. I can get along fine with basically anyone, I don't mind having people over or to stay or anything. I am quite social and not really a super private person so I like hanging out and debriefing pretty often. I am also very house proud and do regular chores, so looking for someone who also does things like sweeps and wipes the benches down. Looking for someone over 26yo. Mostly just looking for a calm household and a high standard of living !
I'm a fourth year student at ANU originally from Melbournebut here to study. I work part time as a swim instructor. I am fun and easygoing and enjoy sharing a meal or watching TV but also understand the need for space. Dependable I will do my share of the work. I also love animals so have no issue there :)
