I'm looking for any place that will allow myself and my cat, she's desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and house trained, she's much like any other cat; affectionate when she wants to be, and tends to like her own space. I am moving to Geelong from a small country town, where I grew up, and I'm actively looking for full time work, but living 3 hours away makes it pretty difficult, in the meantime I'm receiving youth allowance to cover the cost of rent, bills, etc. I'm an average nugget of a human, fairly introverted and not very loud, so that could be a plus. I have a Cert III in Education Support with which I am hoping to gain a career, and I have previously worked in retail. In my spare time I like to game on pc with mates, and sometimes I draw. I'm very friendly and willing to socialise, although I am fairly shy to begin with.
The house is located in a quiet street close to all amenities, 6km from Geelong's CBD. It features two living rooms and an open plan living/dinning area. Our house is fully furnished and we do not require any more additions. There is central heating throughout and ceiling fans are located in each bedroom. The available room is located in the second bedroom which has built in wardrobes. The room can fit a Queen or Double bed comfortably. The room is unfurnished. It is available to move in to from the 20th July. The room is $125 per week, this includes wifi and the water bill. The gas and electricity bills are split between the occupants in the house. Please don't hesitate to contact me to arrange an inspection of the house, thanks!
---So, important, boring info first:--- I need my own room, happy to share a bathroom, I'm not big on sharing food but things like coffee/milk/sugar etc of course i can share haha I'd just like my own shelf at least for my pasta and spices etc I dont have any pets, though i do want some! Once I'm stable and can afford it I'm looking at getting guineapigs or rats/mice. (if a potential housemate is afraid of rats/mice then guineapigs it is haha) I would like a cat but I would never have an outdoor cat and dont want to place responsibility on a housemate to keep my pet inside. I dont have a job, but i do want one! I'm on centrelink, and am stingy beyond what is reasonable so while i dont handle money perfectly, you know I'll be able to pay rent and bills. I dont drink or smoke, I'm not opposed to you smoking but, due to recent death in my family, alcohol is a sore spot for me. I can handle social drinking, but one every day for the sake of drinking? Not so much. I am house proud, I wont vacuum everyday, but I do like my home to look approachable and neat. so rubbish should go in the bin, dishes in the sink (clean and in the rack if not away preferably) but im not nuts about it as long as its not messy or unclean. Not in a relationship and when it comes to overnight visits i tend to go to their house, I'm pretty open about that kind of stuff so if i start talking and you're uncomfortable i wont be offended if you tell me to shutup. ---Less boring stuff!--- I like gardening, I like having houseplants, indoors and out, and Im passionate about fishkeeping, though I'm very new to being able to actually have a tank. (I plan to have a planted 4ft tank if i can keep my 15ltr tank healthy for at least 2 months) I keep myself out of the way, I spend a lot of time at my laptop (internet is a must!) drawing or gaming, depending on mood. I'm not religious, but not offended by religion (please dont try to convert me though, I'm very happy on my fence) I like precious gems and their meanings, burn incense for the smell and dreamcatchers, but im not over the top, in fact 6 months into living where i am now and my housemate only just found out i own precious gems at all, and its been a good 4 years since ive owned a dreamctacher as upset about that as i am. Not so fun is my emotional state currently, my mum died at the start of this year and I'm finding that very hard to handle, so there have been many upon many moments where I've overreacted to something, or just simply broken down on the spot. My emotional state is not wonderful but I do my absolute best not to let it affect anyone else. I tend to retreat to my room when I start feeling down, and all i ask is you respect my space. --finally-- when it comes to what I'm looking for in a housemate, I want to live with someone i can get along with. We dont have to be friends, but friendly. I dont want small problems to become big because we're uncomfortable communicating with each other. Communication is key in ANY relationship, not just romantic haha. And I would prefer someone with a permanent job, and/or renting history. I have neither of these so trying to get into rentals that look at those factors is extremely difficult for me, and im finding it almost impossible with people who are in the same boat. I have about 2 years experience living with housemates, and have lived with just about every member of my family i have throughout my life (no im not good at staying in one place but trust me when i say i am TIRED of moving) so I do know at least somewhat how to live with others. Including young children.
This house is so adorable, light and quiet. Location: It’s in an awesome location, a 5 min walk to Highton Village with cute cafes and supermarket a block from the river. Its a 5 min drive to High Street and also Deakin university so perfect for anyone studying. It’s also 7 minutes from Waurn Ponds shopping center and public transport. House vibes: The house is very light and spacious with 4 rooms, new carpet, freshly painted, two separate living areas, modern bathroom and great ducted heating. There is a yard with existing beautiful gardens, and a separate spare room and study. My 5 year old golden retriever also lives here, and adores a pat or throw of his ball. He’s an indoor dog so you’ll need to like having a pooch around to live here 😊 Bedroom: The available bedroom is light, private and newly painted. You would have your access via the back door, with your own toilet and separate lounge room, making it feel very much your own space. There is an additional small area near the bedroom that could also house a desk/bookshelf or small couch that you are welcome to use. The room is unfurnished but would fit a queen sized bed and small bedside table, as well as a clothes rack. The room is well heated and is very quiet.
looking for somebody to take over my lease because I am relocating, it is until December but possibly can be extended. You would be living with a 24yo girl and 21yo girl. The house is within walking distance to the high street in Belmont so easy access to lots of grocery shops, cafes, restaurants ect. It is also halfway between Geelong CBD and the University in Waurn Ponds. The house is now fully furnished. Of note room is accessed via bedroom door that leads straight outside. So there is about 5metres walk from door to rest of house.
I'm 25 and a Geelong local. I work Full Time in Ocean Grove and do a couple of night shifts a week in Geelong. When I'm not at work I like to get to the gym, catchup with friends and relax. I'm an easy going person and very tidy. I keep to myself sometimes but I also love social interaction so would like housemates I can easily get along with and enjoy some nights in together at times. I understand sometimes people need space as well. I have all my own bedroom furniture so am not looking for a furnished room. I am also allergic to cats so ideally somewhere without cats or as long as I can close off my bedroom it would be ok.
An architectural assistant from the UK, pretty easy going, love outdoor adventures and meeting new people. Have lived in share houses for nearly 5 years, like to hang out and have a drink with my flatmates and know how to keep a place clean. I also love to cook and am happy to share :). Looking for a chilled out, friendly house to share where I can feel at home.
Hi! I'm Michaela, I'm 20 and Im studying a Bachelor of Psychology at Waurn Ponds! I love cooking, going to the gym, trying new cafes and taking my little Dachshund puppy, Ollie, on walks and little adventures! He comes everywhere with me! I'm extremely tidy, I hate mess! And although I enjoy my time alone I love meeting new people and would love to live in a share house where everyone gets along and enjoys meals and move nights etc together!
