We're looking for a new housemate to fill a spot in our 5 bedroom, 2 storey Braddon share house by the end of June. The room has a built-in wardrobe and can comfortably fit a queen/double bed and bookshelf/desk/chest of drawers. It is priced at $180/week (bills excluded). The house is furnished with the usual amenities so you don’t need to bring anything but yourself. However, we’re happy to have new furniture/there’s plenty of storage space to store stuff. We’re in close proximity to Civic and Dickson. You'd be living with 4 young professionals aged between 25-31. We're respectful, clean, very social, and love hanging out as a house whether it be over dinner, watching TV or having parties. Please PM us with a little about yourself if interested :-) Unfortunately, this is no pets household.
Hi! I'm moving to Canberra from Melbourne at the beginning of July to start a new role in the APS, making a transition from my career to date as a research scientist. I'll be working a pretty standard 9-5 routine, and juggling my study and Crossfit obsession. Apart from these, I enjoy helping plants grow, trawling galleries and museums, and planning my next travel adventure. I've done a lot of flat-sharing and as a housemate I am pretty laid back and respectful of other people's space. It would be great to find a like-minded flatmate that enjoys good chats and the occasional beer/wine. My partner, Lewis, is staying in Melbourne so I will just be bringing bedroom furniture and some kitchen stuff.
The room is spacious and sunny. It has a built-in wardrobe and is furnished! The house is modern, comfy, and centrally located. It has three bathrooms, one small bathroom downstairs for general use and a large one upstairs shared by you and Lulu. The bathroom is large with a bathtub! The house has a courtyard out the back and a small balcony on the top floor. Central heating and cooling, washer and dyer. There is a separate TV room with entertainment unit (Netflix, Stan, Foxtel, PS4, Switch: e.g. the lot). The kitchen has a large breakfast bar and lots of appliances. The whole house comes furnished so you won’t have to worry about setting it up. Room furnishing negotiable. All bills included in the rent. 3 minute walk to light rail, bus stop around the corner 10 minutes to Lonsdale st, 15 minutes to Civic, Dickson or Ainsle.
Jacquelin: I'm 23, and work full time for a building company. I'm friendly and easy going, love to have a chat, but also respect others need for space, and expect the same in return. I love an adventure, however I also love binge-watching TV shows and movies. I actually enjoy cleaning so you won't to worry about mess with me! I have a beautiful 7 month old German Shepherd puppy, who loves all the cuddles. Sinéad: I’m 25 and work full time in childcare. I’m quite outgoing and love to socialise. Enjoy going on hikes on the weekend, and having a drink after work. I respect everyone’s need for space and privacy and am very tidy. I have a 6 year old Boxer Cross that’s a rescue. We are looking for someone interested in finding a house to rent, and that is a dog lover. We want somewhere to call home, and not just a house we share with a stranger. If you have any questions, or are interested, please message us. *please note, we are not a couple*
I’m a pretty down to Earth and considerate person, I’m very social and generally get along with everyone. I work full time in the public service, enjoy a good book and quite the exercise keen bean, particularly running. I currently live in a single apartment, but am keen to downsize and move a little closer to work (24 kilometres a day on the bike is proving a little tough).
Hey, I'm Dayne, I moved to Canberra from living abroad in the UK a year and a half ago to work with a great community service organisation and have decided to stay for even longer! I'm really easy going and get on well with anyone, a bit of a nerd who loves chilling and hanging out, but also loves the gym and Rugby (I'm a Kiwi). I like to think I can hold a conversation reasonably well :) as well as enjoying my own personal time. I don't tend to stay in the house much as I work long hours and gym whenever I am free - unless there is something bing-worthy on Netflix. Pays rent on time, and will always help around the house! Don't smoke, also studying postgrad part-time. Hope to hear from you. Cheers, Dayne.
I’m easy to get along with, reliable and as happy to share a meal as to have an evening to myself. I‘m from Austria and will be interning at the Austrian Embassy starting on 8 July for three month. I’m looking for a furnished room for short term rent (3 months) starting July 2019.
Hi! I'm moving to our nation's capital for an APS role in mid-June. Looking for a place to call home somewhere central, preferably in the inner-North. I'm easy-going, clean, friendly and upbeat (but respectful of personal boundaries). I love a good chat over wine and a quality netflix sesh. Minor housemate weakness in keeping house plants alive.
Hi, my name's Adam (on the right), 34, I'm relocating back to Canberra (from eastern Victoria) for work. I work in exhibitions / cultural sector. Lifestyle wise, I'm big on yoga, fitness and health. I'm a pilates instructor (mat mainly), a spin/cycle/RPM instructor. I have a design background in exhibitions and interior architecture. I've also done some work in fashion and have been doing post-grad study in graphic design and illustration (on and off ... off for the next six months). So I like to dabble in some drawing when I have some time. I enjoy quiet nights and weekends just as much as social nights (preferably not mid-week) and weekends. I'm an early riser (as group fitness instructors are). I've lived in share houses for many years so I know the drill - like to be clean, tidy, eat well, etc. I will be in Canberra to find a place / inspect: Friday 28th June - after 6PM Saturday 30th June - anytime Sunday 31st June - anytime Monday 1st June - before 10am I aim to move between July 8th and 12th as I start my job on the 15th of July.
From Rural Queensland. Moving to Canberra hopefully Dec/Jan 2019/2020. Current Distance Student studying a BA at CQU with future plans of maybe transferring to ANU or CU. I'm pretty Quiet and people often forget I'm there unless I'm talking about something I really like. Geeky. I love Harry potter like a lot and am a Total Booknerd. I own a small library. I enjoy Photography. I play the Violin but I hardly ever practice so I wont annoy you. In my spare time I'm either watching movies or reading though I also enjoy Swimming. I do not drive. I'm a bit of an Introvert and am nervous meeting new people but really want to get out there and make some new friends. Looking for a room mate/s that have similar interests or are friendly and easy to get along with.
