I will be moving to Canberra in January to start post-graduate medicine at ANU. I have lived in share houses in Sydney's Inner West for almost 4 years, and have lived with a huge range of people. I have an little indoor cat named Eva, and we are looking for a relaxed place somewhere close to ANU or the Canberra Hospital to share with clean but relaxed individuals!
I'm an IT professional who just started a job located in Civic and I'd like to live somewhere close enough to walk/ride in to work. I need off-street parking for my car, preferably a garage. Avid PC gamer, definitely down to play some games if that's your thing, but it does mean I'll need space for a desk either in a reasonably sized bedroom or in a shared space. Looking for somewhere stable that I can settle into long-term.
Hi there, My name is Daniel and I am a 25 year old young professional moving to Canberra from Brisbane on 20th January 2018 for a new job. I am easy to live with as I am respectful of other housemates, clean, well organised, generally quiet but open to socialise with flatmates. I am an avid sports fan who plays social sports with friends.
Chloe will be studying IT/Commerce at ANU in 2018 and is a small biz owner. Kye is a cricketer, footy player and cadet who will be undertaking an apprenticeship. Both of us love our personal space but also a drink with friends or a night out. We both cook, work, are very clean, and can supply our own furniture. The alternative is for Chloe to be attending ANU alone, and would be open to enquiries for solely one female.
Hi all! I'm looking to move in somewhere close to ANU, or at least a short cycling distance. Alternatively, I'm happy to branch out and find a house with someone. About me: I'm 27, third year postgrad law. I love going to the gym, cycling, reading, petting dogs on the sidewalk, listening to podcasts and catching up with friends. I also work part time in construction management. Also, I'm a non-smoker. Availability: I am available to move in anytime from now. I'd like to find a room for the long term. I'll be here for at least another 2 years. If you have something available that would suit please let me know!
Single, Active, Roofer as well as running my 9wn small cleaning biz so im hardly home from 630am to 6pm. Also a PT but not currently working as one. I love all sports, play cricket in Summer on sat arvos, CLEAN N TIDY, loves cooking, RESPECTFUL of others space, noise when we need to be quiet. Im a happy cheerful person, witty and love flatmate banter but also enjoy my own time alone so im happy to hermit in my room haha I enjoy a casual drink though im not into partying every weekend like i used back in my 20s, but in saying that i enjoy a social drink when the occasion fits so im by no means a killjoy or str8y 180. My bills, rent and food come before play so i am reliable with homely expenses and chores. But im not your butler or servant. Dont mind cooking a meal for everyone but im not the house chef. Lastly, i have a short haired domestic black cat. She loves people and isnt an anti social feline. Demands attention sometimes and is non destructive. Toilet trained and comes and goes when she feels. Wanna know more just ask.
Hey there I'm Arshia and I'm from Melbourne. I'm a Masters student at ANU looking for a private room for at least the next 6 months. I have a pretty laid back personality and I like living in a clean and tidy place so I will happily contribute to chores to make sure it stays that way! I'm a social person who loves the occasional night out (or in), but as I work part-time and study full-time, I also enjoy having some down-time and privacy. Look forward to hearing from you!
Hi Flatmates! My name is Jack (29 yo) and I’ve recently relocated from Perth to the capital. I spend my time between working in the Aviation Security area and volunteering with the ACT State Emergency Service (Rivers Unit). While these take up a fair chunk of my time, I enjoy getting outdoors and am keen to make the most of what Canberra has to offer. I also enjoy cooking (and all things food/eating related haha). I’m clean and tidy and love to hang out, but understand the dynamics of a shared space and am conscious of this. I’m looking to move into an unfurnished bedroom before the 12th of January. Hope to hear from you soon, JD
Hi hi everyone! I'm Millie, I'm 22, have just finished up my undergrad at Monash in Melbourne, but I'm from Tassie originally. I am currently working the Xmas period in retail but plan on moving to Canberra sometime in January before starting a grad job in the public service in Feb. I'm a tidy housemate, and have done the sharehouse thing for a few years now! I've spent some time cleaning up after other housemates so I definitely have an appreciation for tidiness (but not OCD) and I'm very respectful of other people, especially in the shared spaces. I am a relatively quiet person and just love to relax after a day at work with or without a wine, watching an episode of whatever is on or reading a book. I do love to occasionally have some friends over and light some candles with the record player on in the corner, but I'll always give my flatmates a heads up and it rarely turns into anything rowdy! On my days off I love to take a trip to the beach to go surfing or venture into the mountains for a nice long day hike. My last housemate had to hide the peanut butter from me, so that may be one of my downfalls... It's just so yummy and self-control can be pretty absent some days. I'm coming up to Canberra January 6th - 10th to do a little scouting and inspect properties and meet people, so if anyone has a spare room and would like to meet, shoot me a message! I then have the one-way ticket booked for Jan 25th, but I'm happy to start paying rent at any point in January. P.s. I don't have any pets but absolutely don't mind if you do!!!
Law graduate heading over from Melbourne to start in one of the APS Graduate programs in Canberra. I am a clean, respectful and environmentally conscious person who knows how to balance my downtime with a good wine and cheese night :D
Hey! I'm Steve and I'm moving to Canberra to start a grad job in the public sector. I'm a laid back and highly sociable person (while being mindful of personal space) so would love to find a flatmate that is down for nights of UberEats, movies and Cards Against Humanity. When not working I enjoy eating burgers, drinking old fashioneds, and heading down to the gym to train for and coach in powerlifting. Bonus points if you enjoy bad dad jokes as much as I do!
Hello! I'm a public servant looking to move as my current lease is up. A little about me: I work regular full-time hours. When not working, I enjoy cooking, cycling, hiking, swimming and hanging out over a tea or beer. I am a friendly, easy-going housemate, hoping to live with like-minded people. No bedroom ghosts please :) However, I also value personal space and do enjoy my down time. I also value tidy shared living areas and shared cleaning. I won't go crazy over a dirty breakfast bowl, it's more the idea of having respect for shared living spaces. Any questions, and I'm happy to chat! Cheers, Grace
Hi there, I'm moving to Canberra in Feb 2018 for a new role in public sector. I'm originally from Sydney and am looking for a place for 6 months. I'm pretty outgoing but like my down time too. I am super clean and am looking for someone who is too! Preferably would like to share with one other person - happy to have a wine after work! I love sports and reading crim fic novels. In my free time I like to chill with friends, try new cafes/restaurants and workout/go for walks. I'm currently in Sydney but happy to meet over Skype and go from there :)
Hello! My name is V, I'm 30 and recently returned to Canberra after working overseas. I work full time in the public service, love to travel and I'm learning Bahasa Indonesia after work. I'm tidy, reliable, cook rarely but read a lot of cookbooks and frequently flick through the ALDI catalogue for wine related special busy. I'm looking for a share house/apartment that has a good vibe with professionals around the same age.
Hello! I've recently graduated and have moved out of my old share house to try something new for the new year. I have loved living with friends over the past 2 years and am looking for similarly easygoing, fun and relaxed housemates. I'd love to live in a place with some nice communal areas and lots of natural light. I'll be out during the week with work but am always keen for a glass of wine and a chat at home. While my inability to cook has been my housemates' favourite joke, I'm planning on using the couple of months before I start work to pick up my game! I'm pretty flexible with move in dates. Send me a message if you have anything that suits.
Hi, I am Gabby, a law graduate who is moving from Brisbane to Canberra in early February. I am moving to undertake a role in the private sector. During the week I will be busy with work and come the weekend be exploring Canberra. I am easy to get along with, clean and love a good chat. I am hoping to find housemates who are similar, who are happy to socialise, such as family dinners or drinks but also respect one's own space. I would prefer to lease an unfurnished room and do have other furnishings for the home if needed. If you think I sound like a good fit for your home, please send me a message :)
I'm Easy going, 17 and just got offered a 12 month traineeship with the APS in Canberra. Moving interstate from Brisbane, Queensland and looking for somewhere to live for at least 12 months, as I do not know anyone in Canberra, I would prefer to stay in a share house, then live alone. I have extensive experience living with people other than family, as I attended and boarded at a boarding school for three years. I mostly keep to myself, however I'm always down for a chat, great to get along with and can socialise with people of all ages. I know how to cook and clean up after myself, and I also understand the concept of personal space. Flexible with rent, bills and internet.
Hello! I'm originally from Sydney and will be moving down to Canberra sometime in January to start a graduate program with one of the government departments! I am clean and tidy, easygoing, and respectful of personal space and privacy. I appreciate my down time but am up for catching up over a meal or a drink! :) I enjoy good conversations about society, culture and politics, watching indie and foreign films, hanging out in nice parks, visiting art galleries, running, cycling, and drawing.
Hi, my name is Josh and I've just graduated. I will be moving to Canberra to start my job as a full time software developer. I'm a considerate, clean and quiet person, who respects others and their property. I also like to be sociable and hang out, have a chat or a drink with my friends/housemates. I enjoy books, music, playing instruments (don't worry I have headphones), going to the gym having a go at cooking and some video games now and then when I get the time. I'm new to Canberra but I'm looking forward to finding/forming a nice place with other people where we would all get along great. I would prefer to live in Braddon (or close by) and I'm looking at an early Jan move/start date. If you're interested feel free to send a message through on the website and we can start discussing.
Hey I'm Ella! I'm a student from Brisbane currently on exchange in the US, but i'll be taking a break from uni to start an internship in Canberra from Jan 2018. I'd love to move into a sharehouse or apartment with other students or people in their 20s. I love travel, food and my two pugs (who will sadly not be joining me in Canberra). I'm a fan of a night out, but also enjoy a movie or wine night at home. Ideally looking to move in with a sociable bunch of people who enjoy making the most of their weekends, but like more of a relaxed vibe during the week.
