Glenn looking for a nice 'normal' quiet clean place.
$200/week•61 year old man
Hi, my name is Glenn and I'm a single 61 year old disability pensioner and I'm looking for a clean, peaceful and friendly place to live at the moment.
I've been on the social housing list since the last place I was at for about 12 yeas was sold but there's nothing available for me as of yet. Looks like I have to wait until someone dies. lol
I'm a modern (although, sometimes I wonder as things change and revert over time) thinking guy when it comes to the genders. I have shared a place with an unrelated female for over 10 years prior. So sharing with females is nothing new to me. I'm also LGBTQIA+ accepting.
I used to work in IT some years ago but I am on a pension now that means to stay at the national poverty level I can only really afford a weekly rent of around $225 per week otherwise it makes life a bit more difficult.
Anyway, I'm clean, quiet and honest and like peaceful, harmonious settings and I like nice, somewhat sensible and reasonable at least, people.
I like cats, dogs and birds so long as they are well behaved.
I don't drink, smoke or do drugs and I like being considerate of others and also being considered.
I pay my bills and I pay them on time. I don't borrow, or lend money (any more as I've been ripped off too many times by dishonest ar$&@*!/s.).
I pretty much keep to myself and have plenty of quiet interests and hobbies like Warhammer fantasy and 40k, RPGs, miniature painting, reading, board and computer games, history, science, AI, engineering, UFOs and other mysteries, robotics, civilisations, cultures, futurism, computers, 3D modelling and printing, learning and investigating other things that keep me interested.
I like talking about said subjects and interested in learning from others. But I'm not into small talk like the weather, or sports unless it's about meteorological physics or about how big-money has ruined competition. Happy to agree to disagree on contentious issues and not talk about them.
I'm a humanist and I'm agnostic at least and atheist at most.
I have my own fridge, single bed, small tv (would be good If I can get reception in the room) and internet access on a 4G phone so good 4G reception would be nice.
I'd like a place preferably East of the free-way near regular public transport including the tram if possible and being able to get to a 700 (Gold Coast high-way) bus if I can so I can get out and go to the major shopping centres etc.
I'm definitely open to teaming up with some one or two stable, reliable and fairly sensible folk to rent a place together with.
Thank you very much for reading.
Glenn :o)
PS: Sorry, I'm not an upgraded member and messaging can be delayed. Seems they like to exploit/extort poorer people in desperate situations on here. What a world we've become.
