Hey! I'm Sahra, 20y/o female (The one in the white dress) looking for roomates preferably already in a house to move in with! I'm very easy going and fun. I'll be started work as a registered nurse in Feb 17 so looking to move in mid to late Jan! I love animals, being outdoors, the occasional drink or two. I'm a very clean and neat housemate and understand the need for people to have their own space but also love to hang out!
Hello! I'm moving to Canberra from Brisbane for 3 months for work. I just finished uni, studying economics. As a housemate, I like to socialise with the occasional wine, but definitely am not a party gal. I don't smoke or have any pets, but I do have a boyfriend who would visit occasionally (he lives in Brisbane, so not that often). I enjoy keeping a clean home so if you do too that would be perfect. As i'm only coming down for a little while i really need the room to be furnished, with a bed at least. Let's chat!
I am a Canberra local who enjoys staying fit, music and travel. I am respectful of others and like to keep a clean and tidy household. I work full-time in IT and have active social life. I am easy going and like to get to know people but i'm also happy doing my own thing. I would be interested in teaming up to rent a house as I already have my own furniture and appliances. I am available from early November.
I am moving to Canberra on Saturday 29th October, however have organised short term accomodation until I find the right place! I am 24 (will be 25 in Dec) and have just secured a full time position as a flight attendant working for Cobham Aviation. I am originally from NSW however have been working overseas as a dancer for Carnival Cruise Lines for the past 7 years. I will also be studying a Bachelor Sport and Exercise Science part time at UC in Feb next year. I enjoy all things sport as I like to be active as well as travel and cooking. I am ideally looking for someone to share with for at least a year and I would like to find a place that has our own bathroom too. I have just bought a new car so I am also looking for a place that has a covered car park. I am a very clean and tidy person who is always up for a chat, but I also greatly value and respect personal space as well. Please let me know if you think I would be a fit in your place or if you are interested in a team-up situation.
Available from Saturday November 19th 2016, we will have an available room to rent in our sharehouse, which is located in a prime location in Bruce. $230 per week. This covers the rent for the bedroom and all utility costs: UNLIMITED internet, electricity, water and gas! The bedroom is private, and furnished with a king single bed, a student desk, desk chair, and a bedside table. There is also a built-in wardrobe and a window that faces away from the main street. This room is suitable for a single person only, not for couples. The townhouse is single-level, with three-bedrooms, a large living and dining area, and an outdoor patio. The remainder of the house is also furnished, with a fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and other appliances available to use. This is in the perfect location if you're a student, with UC literally a 5 minute walk away, and regular buses to ANU about 300m walk away. We are also a five-to-ten minute walk from many government and private business offices in Belconnen. The house is located slightly away from the main street, giving a quiet atmosphere. Close to University of Canberra, CISAC, Westfield Shopping Centre, Lake Ginninderra, and heaps more. You'll be living with two other female housemates. One uni student at ANU, and one young professional. We would like to live with someone who is social and enjoys being part of a sort of family while we live together (sometimes chatting, cooking, eating, drinking, going out etc together). But we're also looking for someone who can respect the privacy and quiet-time of others. We are normally up until around midnight, so if you're normally in bed by 7pm, you might not fit in here. Ideally, you'll be friendly, respectful, tidy, female, non-smoker, and aged between 20-30 years of age. The bottom line is that we want to share our home with another cool person who is relaxed, but loves to have fun too! Sorry, no pets :( . Please send me a message if you feel like we would get along! :)
I'm currently studying full-time at UC and working two part-time jobs. I have been living in Canberra for nearly a year coming from the Central Coast. I like to be social and chat but also understand the line of wanted privacy. I am clean and willing to pitch in where as needed. I'm quite easy going and enjoy having or good laugh or listening to some good tunes.
The apartment is super close/walking distance to UC (200m), AIS (<1km), Bruce shops (100m), and a 5min drive to Belconnen Mall, and a 10min drive to the city/ANU. We have a very spacious living area, quite a large kitchen, and a big porch area overlooking the Bruce ponds. You would be sharing a bathroom with one other housemate in the main bathroom. We have reverse air-conditioning throughout the apartment, and you also will get a park in secured undercover parking. The room is fairly flexible with no locked in 'have-to-move-in" date....whenever suits you! (Although before New years would be tops!) The room for rent is technically unfurnished, but I will be selling everything in it - so I would be happy to come to some arrangement with you if you would like to keep some or all of the furnishings (Double Bed + matress, desk, chair, TV, and cabinet).
We offer up a room in a large, sunny home in Bruce, located in close proximity to the University of Canberra, the Australian Institute of Sport, and the Belconnen Town Centre. The room has a built-in cupboard, with ample room for a double bed and other furniture. The home itself is already fully furnished, with a boxing bag, large TV and lounge area, an outdoor courtyard, and a luscious lawn to boot. Unlimited internet is also on hand, with the bill coming to around $35 each month.
My Name is Jen. I am a single, 22 year old, moving to Canberra around November to December. I am currently in my final year of Uni, and I'm starting a grad job in Canberra with the APS in January 2017. I enjoy going for runs, to the gym, reading and just hanging out with friends. I am laid back and easy to get along with. I am looking to not only share accommodation but to make new friends.
You will be staying in a cozy and charming master bedroom with private access to the spacious balcony and your own bathroom. Everything in the apartment has been interior designed in the spirit of French provincial and industrial. Your master bedroom is influenced by a beautiful contemporary style. The room has a soft and heavenly queen bed-a mattress topper, spacious built in wardrobe, extra storage space and a study table. I am open to you bringing your own small furnishings however, it must suit the style of the interior design. There is an abstract outdoor table on the verandah. Location: Very convenient Getting to UNI-Bruce, opposite UC, 2 mins walk to 300 Blue Rapid, next to the 3 and 7 inner city bus lines. It is 3 stops from ANU and takes 10-15 mins to get there. Getting to Shopping centres: It is 10 minutes to Belconnen Westfield, 10 Minutes to Canberra City. There are street cafes and convenience stores located in the complex. Price: $230/week excluding bills such as electricity and internet. This will be split evenly amongst the tenants. Water is already covered. There is secured underground car park. The bond is 4 weeks rent and will be returned to you on your departure provided you give more than 3 weeks notice of departure. You will sign a contract to stay here for the period of time. Long term stay- more than 6 months is preferable. Room available from 26th October. The housemate MUST BE 1) CLEAN AND TIDY: The tenant must help me do cleaning every few days. If you do not clean up after yourself: ie wash plates & cooking utensils after use, leave messes around the house, do not help take out the bin - we will probably not make a happy household. What needs to be done? Vacuuming, mopping, cleaning kitchen, dining area. A person who stays in the apartment must have an acceptable level of cleanliness. 2) Respectful of others, not making unreasonable noise after midnight nor invite an excessive number of people and throw wild parties. I am a later year uni-student and pretty much over college parties. Soz. 3) Pay their rent and electricity bills on time and not give dumb excuses as to why they can’t pay. They must be fiscally responsible and have a stable source of money/income whether its from family or work. 4) Is easy going and friendly 5) Has a personality – could be humorous and fun. Ie would prefer if the person didn’t hole themselves in their room all the time à la ‘unilodge style’ 6) I also occasional hosts guests as part of my interest in meeting other people of different cultures around the world. So you must be OK with living with guests. Some people I have met include Norwegians, Germans, French, Chinese and Indians. Ideal people include: (Long list- I know right?) 1) A couple is ok. 2) It would be awesome if you liked playing board games, chess or like puzzles. 3) Non-smoker: I am not entirely discounting smokers, but absolutely no smoking inside the house. Absolutely no drugs. 4) Enjoy watching TV series, movies and Netflix 5) Enjoys home cooking, various styles. 6) Not be passive aggressive, nasty or have bitchy tendencies 7) Is a person who enjoys travelling, learning about other cultures and languages. Thanks for reading this really long post, congratulation for getting to the bottom of the ‘essay’. I’ve made the list really detailed and specific cause I really care about my living environment. Message me if you are interested in staying here. Look forward to speaking with you! Leonard
Hi future housemates! I am Clare. I am seeking a decent sized room to place a queen bed with space for a table/chair/desktop computer which I use for study purposes. I have a houseful of furniture which is going into storage and I will only bring what I need with me. I've had a lease on a large house propery for two years which is ending soon and I am returning to the 'room only' accom option in a share house for the next year or more. I am a Transgender female and have a 'youthful' personality for my age! Although I like to socialise, I am generally quiet at home. Sportswise, I like Bikram Yoga, Badminton and Swimming. I'll be studying a Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Canberra next semester. I am okay with the occassional group meal and chatting with other tenants or being independant depending on the vibe in the property. I am a tidy person who cleans up after themselves and is respectful of other tenant's privacy. I can drop-by for an inspection and meeting most days/times, so let me know if you're interested. I'd prefer accommodation that is located in the surrounding suburbs of UC with easy access to public transport routes (ACTION buses). Thanks! PS: I am flexible with move dates around the 5-6th Nov. Either a few days prior or after that weekend is fine by me.
WHO: I’m planning to move from Melbourne to Canberra soon - I have my eyes on ANU in 2018 so I want to spend the next year working and getting myself set up in Canberra. I’m quiet, independent and prefer to keep to myself. I’m not unfriendly and am happy to chat now and then but I am definitely not a party person. I’m clean, tidy and organised – when you see me around the house it will most likely be when I’m cleaning or in the kitchen preparing my meals for the week. I’m (mostly) vegan, don’t drink or smoke, and I am queer-friendly and pet-friendly. WHAT: I’m looking for a tidy sharehouse that I can come home to after work and on weekends knowing I can relax in peace and quiet. Ideal housemates will be tidy, responsible, and considerate of others. I don’t mind if you drink/smoke/eat meat as long as there’s no smoking indoors or drunkenness, and you don’t hang **** on me about my choices! I am looking for an unfurnished room that can fit a single bed, large chest of drawers, bookcase and desk. I will also need somewhere to park my car and some space in a kitchen cupboard for the bit of kitchenware I have. Internet access is also desirable. I’m hoping not to spend more than $200pw (plus bills) but would consider paying more for the right place. I’m hoping to stay long-term, but will also consider short-term opportunities. WHERE: As a newbie to Canberra I have no preference for area, so don’t be put off if your suburb is not in my list. My priority is finding the right place with affordable rent. WHEN: I can be flexible – hoping for mid- November but it will depend on what happens with work in Melbourne and, of course, when the right place is available. I would consider paying rent earlier than my actual move to secure the right place. HOW: I’m coming to Canberra next weekend (29-30 October) hoping to check out some places on the Saturday, and Sunday if need be. So if you would like to meet me and show me your place, or know more about me, please text or message me by Friday with a bit about your place and why you think I’ll be a good fit, and we’ll go from there. I might not be able to get around to everyone so the more you can tell me, the better!
Hi My name is Thibault and I am a French student. I have been in canberra for 4 months so far and I am starting a PhD in physics at the ANU in october. I already live in a sharehouse right now but the lease is ending so I need to find a new place. I have been living with flatmates for the last 3 years so I am used to it. I am easy to live with and clean (without being a cleanliness freak). I am often working late during the week, so you may not see me a lot but I like spending some time with my flatmates during the week-end. I don't have pets but I like animals. I don't smoke but I used to, so it's not a problem for me if you do. Finally I am a musician (guitar and drums) and I love jamming session so I would love to move in with other musicians.

Hi there I'm just trying to think how I can explain myself without sounding too much of a gym junkie..So here goes 😄 I work part time at a retail shop; pays the bills on time; clean up after myself; don't mind chipping in to help with the chores; quite an active person as I go to the gym 6 days p/week; reliable, easy going and I respect other people's time and space; when I'm not at work or on rest day, I like to prep meals and sometimes, would like to cook with others; don't do Netflix and chill so don't worry, I won't bring any strangers beside inviting my good friends to have dinner; and last but not least, I am quite friendly and approachable 😊
I'm a pretty quiet person, like to keep to myself but I am more than happy to socialise with other video gamers/nerds. I would love to live with similiar minded people, but not too important. I love reading and hoard too many books for my own good! I am from the Central Coast, NSW moved to canberra a few years ago for university. I have decided to stay here permanently and so need to find accommodation for me and my gorgeous Springer Spaniel. He's a lovely dog, gentle, gets along with other animals fine, quiet and house-trained. Very well-natured boy! For fun I don't really go out too much other than to the movies/random shopping trips or to walk my dog, I normally just binge watch Netflix series and play video games, PC/Nintendo.
I'm a part-time worker (who does full time hours) and a full time student at ANU. I'm as busy as I am easy going - so while I may not always be around, I can be sociable and get along with just about anyone. I enjoy cooking and baking. Don't worry I always cleanup after - and share too! I also enjoy a good Netflix binge, game sesh and reading to unwind. I come fully house trained and with a PS4.
I'm desperately looking for a place within the next 2 weeks I'm a gamer, and love to socialize I'd rather a room mate I get along with not someone that just exists I have a car Work Part Time Study at AIE Keep clean Need a furnished room And need internet Contact me ASAP!

We have moved out of our one bedroom apartment. We have a contract with Unilodge until January 2017 which can be put into the next owners name and renewed for all of next year if needed. You have to be a full-time University of Canberra student and not already a Unilodge resident in order to take over the contract. Our gorgeous fully furnished one bedroom apartment includes a bedroom with a queen sized bed, wardrobe and study desk, bathroom, kitchenette, and living room. You will also have access to the common room, piano room, theatre room, balcony/BBQ equipment, laundry, and study rooms. Along with that Cooper Lodge offers a variety of events for residents including free movie nights every Sunday, snow trips, bowling, free food in the commons every Wednesday via Red Frogs, and so much more! Unilodge is a proud supporter of the LGBT community and the residents are accepting and welcoming of everyone. You'll make so many great friends and memories here! This room is designed for couples and then the price can be split to about 190 per person but is also available to a single renter. Very trendy, Safe, and modern building in the heart of UC. Parking options are UC's closest carpark. All utilities are covered in the rent price/are unlimited. The one bedroom apartments are very much in demand due to there only being 7 of them in the building, it is going to be very difficult to get a room like this as we edge closer to the end of semester and next year, so don't miss out on this amazing opportunity while it's available!
I am moving to Canberra from Perth in the week beginning 7 November 2016, so happy to move in any time from then (flexible as I will be booking short-term accommodation for when I arrive). I'm currently still completing year 12, and intend to do further study at UNI. I've been working at a cafe for 3 years and enjoy it very much. I can be a social person, chat about mutual interests and enjoy getting to know people. I also enjoy my alone quiet time as well. I can confidently say I am mature for my age, due to growing up with a single parent and three younger brothers. Also meaning I am no stranger to cleaning up my own mess as well as assisting to keep the household tidy. I'm into reading and watching a few different TV shows, also a huge cat person, so wouldn't mind moving into a house with a cat or any type of animal! I've been in Canberra for majority of my life and intend to stay here. I'm not planning to move out until later in the year however, and just want to extend my feelers out to see what's available. Thanks!
