I will be moving from Sydney to Canberra probably towards the end of December. I am looking for a quiet(peaceful) place with lovely people preferably 1 or 2. Being an introvert, trust me I won't stand on your way. Moreover, it must be affordable and close to public transport.
We will soon have a room available in our beautiful sharehouse, which is located in a prime location in Belconnen. The room will be available for short term stay only during December and January (dates flexible within this period). The house is single-level, with a large common living, dining and outdoor patio areas. The house is fully furnished, with appliances available for you to use. We are in an ideal location, with the University of Canberra a 5 minute walk, major Belconnen offices 5-10 minute walk, Calvary Hospital a 5 minute drive, and 1 minute walk to regular buses into the city and the Australian National University (bus takes 10-15 minutes to city). Also walking distance to CISAC sports complex, Belconnen Westfield shopping centre and Ginnenderra Lake. The room can be furnished flexibly, depending on whether you would like to bring your own furniture. It has ducted heating and air-conditioning, lots of natural light and a large built-in wardrobe. The room is $220 per week, including all utilities and unlimited high-speed NBN internet. The room shares the large bathroom area with two other clean females. The space has door-separated shower, basin and toilet areas which means they can each be used privately by someone different at the same time. We would welcome any ladies who may be up for a chat in the evenings, but who can also respect the privacy and quiet-time of others. You'll be someone who is friendly, respectful, cleanly, tidy, and also (strictly) a non-smoker. This room is suitable for one female only, not for couples, families or pets. Please send me a message if you are interested in staying with us!

Hi, I am April. Recently moved to Canberra in August. I am currently renting a room in Lawson, but the owner needs their room back by the 20th of December. I work full-time for a Mental Health organisation and am a clean tidy quiet person. My partner still lives on the coast so every second weekend I head down the coast to see him. He sometimes visits me in Canberra. Not so much at the moment because he plays Cricket on Saturdays. I am looking for a share house with people who are easy to get a long with, enjoy conversation but also enjoy personal space. My job can be stressful so sometimes all I want to do is lay in bed and watch moves all weekend. If you feel I would suit your household, please message me.
Hi! I'm Rose - a young working professional relocating to Canberra. Originally from Sydney, I enjoy hiking and going for runs so I'm super excited to move to Canberra. I also enjoy reading books, swimming, spending time with friends, meeting new people and learning as much as I can about economics. I’m planning to find a share house or rental (with other housemates or none) for 3-6 months during December mid 2020. Any area near the city centre is what I’m looking for!
Hello! I am looking for a new place to live having recently moved from Brisbane earlier this year. I am clean, respectful and friendly and a full-time working professional in the APS. I enjoy sport, being outdoors, and of course a good wine and cheese night. I am looking for similar minded people who enjoy watching a movie together or going out to dinner, but also respects personal space. Looking to move in mid-late December (end of January at the latest)
Hey all! My name is Brianna, I’m a third year law/development studies student at ANU. Im really keen to move into a sharehouse in January for the year (+hopefully the rest of my degree!). Im really keen to move into a home rather than just a house! I am a tidy, respectful person who loves a good chat over a glass of wine and the occasional roommate outing (esp to the local farmers markets). I love being outdoors so when I’m not studying you’ll usually find me running/hiking somewhere in the ACT or down the coast relaxing. But I do work two jobs so there’s that too! Feel free to get in touch, would love to pop by and see what’s available.
I'm looking for my own room with BIRs, large enough for a double bed and desk, while finishing up my PhD at ANU, ET 3-6 months, with a possible longer stay, dependent on PhD/work situation. I'm aiming for locations within a 15 min driving distance from ANU. I have savings which can guarantee my share of rent and bills for at least 7 months, and also have intermittent work demonstrating, tutoring and invigilating. I'm a very clean person with few obsessive quirks. I'm very happy to pitch in on the shared household chores. Ideally, I would want my own bathroom, or only have to share the bathroom with one other. I do weekly food prep, so would definitely need a functional kitchen and preferably a good oven to bake goodies to share. I have a keen interest in outdoors sports such as tennis, basketball, hiking, cycling and running. I enjoy reading, music, Netflix, sewing, knitting and just having a good chat. I play the harp, but don't practice at weird hours. I'm usually doing my PhD or playing tennis. I am friendly and down for the occasional dinner/drinks/hang but definitely would not suit a party household. I love animals, particularly puppers and kittens, and would be more than happy to join a share with pets (I do not have my own pet/s). I am currently sharing an apartment but our landlord wants to sell and my current housemate is thinking of going to Sydney. I have lived in 2 shares over the last four years and know how to be a considerate and respectful housemate.
