Hello champions, I’l looking for a comfy little abode while I commence my Master of International Development at UC February 2020. I am a bit of a homebody but also love to get outdoors. I don’t mind a nice feed out every now again and sussing out some different spots for a beer, live music and some laughs. Don’t need to be entertained but would love to make some new friends in Canberra as I will be relocating from Brisbane. I’m originally from FNQ but went to boarding school in Brisbane for high school. Completed my Bachelor on the Gold Coast and then started working from there (so safe to say I’ve had a fair bit of practice with the whole sharing and independence thing). I’ve been fortunate to have some new opportunities come up along the way with my work but I now feel as though to pursue them properly, I need to be backed by another qualification specific to the area of interest. The best place for me to be is Canberra, hence the move :) The one thing that all of my previous roomies have appreciated is that I always respect your privacy, space and belongings! I’ve been working full-time for the past 3 years so I know and understand what it’s like and can respect that also. Happy to be anywhere within 15 mins drive to UC & Flexible with living arrangements. If you’re in a similar situation feel free to send me a message :)
Large room with a heap of storage. Bathroom shared with 1 one other and garage parking. 10min walk to UC and easy transport to ANU. Large sunny living room, kitchen, and study. You'll be sharing with 2 other girls, one who works full time the other is completing her PhD. Available from 30th of November for long term lease.
I'm a student that works part-time as a public servant for the ACT Government. Looking for a house that doesn't mind some social activities, while also respecting my personal space due to my hectic schedule.
An existing room mate is moving out so we are looking for a clean and considerate person to replace him. THE ROOM: It is big enough to have a queen sized bed and a small desk (a previous roommate had this), or a single bed and a large corner desk (as the current roommate currently has). Check the dimensions on the floor plan. It is Bedroom 2 on offer. You will share the bathroom/toilet with myself. The other roommate has their own bathroom. Secure underground parking is included. THE APARTMENT The prospective roommate is welcome to use all the amenities in the communal spaces. E.g. tv, nutribullet, coffee machine etc. There is no central heating/cooling, but the lounge room/kitchen has reverse-cycle air conditioning. The stovetop and hot water system is gas. Partners/friends are welcome anytime, however, given the size of the apartment and the room, there's not enough space for a couple to move in. No pets allowed. LOCATION: The apartment is 10min walk from the rapid bus route opposite Radford College. You can be at ANU within 30minutes of walking out the door, guaranteed everyday of the week. I have been doing this for almost 2 years now. We are in very close proximity to the City, UC campus, and Belconnen Westfields. BILLS AND THINGS: Rent INCLUDES unlimited NBN FTTN internet. Our maximum line speed is 109Mbps. Our plan is for up to 100Mbps with Aussie Broadband. We get usual maximum peak speeds of about 90-95Mbps between 6-9pm. Gas and electricity come quarterly. You can expect this to be about 500-600/qtr for the apartment, depending on usage. This is then split evenly among all 3 people. YOU: The ideal room mate will be clean, tidy and respectful. We are pretty loose with responsibilities. E.g. If the bin's full, empty it. Someone of the same age and/or with similar interests is preferred but not required. DATE: The roommate leaves some time mid-October. I am waiting for confirmation, but 14/10 is the most likely date. Please text/message if you have questions and want to come look at the room. Please don't call, I don't answer calls from unknown numbers. Please don't spam me asking "is this still available?". If this ad is still up, then it's still available. If you are interested tell me a bit about yourself and when you want to come look at the room.
I work full time during the week and most weekends. I spend my spare time at the gym or hanging with friends. I am easy going and possess a charismatic behaviour, will be good to meet like minded people. In saying that, I do like to kick back at home some days over a nice glass of 🍷
Hi :) I work part time as an receptionist while studying UC. I'm looking for shared accommodation that is closer to uni. Life is busy for me at the moment so I love to unwind after the end of a long day, preferably with a glass of wine in hand :) I'm a social person and always up for a chat, but I enjoy my privacy and respect the privacy of others. I'm tidy, clean and I have the tendency to stress bake.
I am a new graduate speech pathologist moving to Canberra for work. Love animals so all pets a bonus! I love everything music related and I play the flute (though rarely practice). Someone happy to share the internet bill is always a bonus too!
My name is Cecilia, I'm from Cairns and have shared with people previously. In 2020 i'll be an intern for the public service. I'm looking for a room with ideally a back yard for my border collie, Finn. I've had bad experiences with a roommate who took drugs regularly so I would be really grateful if people were upfront. Thanks.
