Hello! I am Demi, an undergraduate design student at the University of Melbourne passionate about songwriting, computer programming and drinking copious varieties of tea. Am always happy for a chat and make an excellent banana bread which I am happy to share (and can make it vegan if required). I also do not take up very much space and am mostly working or studying so I am very self-sufficient and will not step on your toes! Do not be fooled by my age. Although I am young my friends know me as a bit of a grandma as I am extremely responsible, don't drink, have a green-thumb and spend most of my free time watching old movies or going for long strolls to think. Having moved solo to Melbourne last year for university, I am experienced with living independently and am looking for a flat-share for the next coming year. I am looking for a place that is not too rowdy, preferably with at least one other female. I do not mind pets and love cats especially having grown up with them. I am, flexible, very easy-going and adaptable, but as I prioritise maintaining a clean and tidy household it is really important to me that my housemates do the same to some extent. Nice to meet you! :-)
Hey there I’m born and raised in Melbourne, but have been living in China for almost 5 years, and currently making the transition back to living in Oz. I’m studying online as well as starting full time work soon. I’m quite a chill person during the week. I like to stay focused, keep active and cook (when there’s time) and I also value keeping a clean home. I love heading out to explore/have a few drinks on the weekends and being social in general.
We have a room for rent in the next week (date coming) in our light filled shop front apartment/fortress on Sydney Road in Brunswick. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a large kitchen and living area and a deck filled with plants and a hammock. There is a split system that heats and cools the house. The place was renovated recently so everything is nice and new. There is a bar/restaurant across the road as well as cafes, a supermarket and a Bunnings within 100 metres. Public transport: The 19 tram is at the doorstep and the Brunswick train station (Upfield line) is a 1 minute walk away. We basically have everything we need within a block. The room is a decent size. Our current housemate has a king sized bed in the room, shelves, a double wardrobe, a bedside table etc. The wardrobe will stay when he leaves. We are preferably looking for a male to keep some gender balance. Ideally someone who is clean, respectful, reliable and most importantly, a good time. We respect one another’s privacy/space but we prefer the house to feel like a home so someone who is keen to hang out sometimes would be ideal (no full time room dwellers pls). No couples - sorry. Our housemate that is moving is taking a lot of his kitchen stuff with him so if you have anything that would be a bonus. The washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle etc is all staying. If you have a car: There are no parking spaces within the apartment but you can park close by on the street or in the Bunnings carpark like we do. Rent is $840pcm and is due on the 12th of every month. Bills (water/gas/electricity/internet) are all split 3 ways. Last of all - the place is usually spick and span. It is a little messy in the photos because our current housemate is packing. Most of the stuff in the lounge is going so we will have lots of space to make it ours. Peace!
Hi there, This is a Spaniard, who has been living in Melbourne for four years, looking for a new place to call home. During the last two years, I am living in the CBD, however, I´m missing the inner suburbs of this beautiful city so, I have decided to enjoy the city just during work-time. The majority of my time is spent on work (marketing, consulting and eventually cocktails makers) and University (MBA & PM). In my free time, I love to keep me fit and socializing. At home, extremely clean and respectful. When I have time, I love to enjoy outdoors (unfortunately no too much time at the moment but summer is just coming up, excited!) More than happy sharing nice dinners or drinks with you all and, why of course, exchange some yummy food recipes Seeking for a friendly atmosphere and a nice place for living. Really easy-going person.
Hi I’m Rachel, I’ve lived in a country town my entire life which has now started to become very impractical (Wasting $600+ on fuel every month isn’t ideal). I’m studying economics and finance at RMIT university and working retail at DFO in Essendon. When I’m not buried in the books or working, I enjoy watching and attending soccer matches, binging Netflix series and finding some way to keep fit. I’m a very laid back, and sociable person open to making friends but also understand and respect personal space. Always clean up after myself and won’t throw a fit if I have to clean up after others, whatever’s practical. I also have a pet dog (Corgi), called Goldie and if my Instagram of adorable photos of her doesn’t win your heart then she will just have to shake your hand and win it over in person. Ideally looking for a 6 month+ stay (furnished or unfurnished). If you’re interested in teaming up or if I sound like a good fit for your share house shoot me a message!
I'm Italian and I've just moved to Melbourne to improve my English skills and - most of all - to live a great experience in a country which I’ve always dreamt. I studied foreign languages in Italy and I lived in shared houses for one year in Germany, so I can speak also German and a little French and Russian. I like to think about myself as a world citizen. I'm curious but respectful, I'm a life enthusiastic and a open – minded person, I like travelling, cooking, good wine and coffee, music, and surfing (any tips about surf spots in Victoria is very welcome!). I also love animals. I'm clean and tidy and well aware of other’s space. I get along with everyone but as I’m quite shy at the beginning I love friendly and talkative people. During my stay in Melbourne I will have lessons (firstly in the evening time, then in the day time) but I also have to find a part time job. I hope to spend a nice time, to find good friends and to live a great experience in this amazing city.
Located in trendy Brunswick we have a gorgeous 2 story Victorian house with 3 rooms available! It is only a 5 minute walk to Jewell station (train), 6 minutes to the Tram Stop (both the 58 Park St/Royal Park and the 19 down Sydney Road), 6 minutes to Barkly Square (Coles, Woolworths, K Mart, JB Hifi and many more!), and heaps of cafes/pubs close by. With Parkville literally one street over, we have all the parks a short stroll away as well, including the Capital City Trail and Upfield Bike Path. It is in a GREAT location! The house has recently had a facelift, new carpet, painted walls and wooden floors downstairs. And all the rooms on offer are huge! Upstairs we have 2 huge rooms a 3.4 x 3.1 with robe for $290pw and a 3.3 x 3.8 for $280pw. Each room can come furnished or empty, and can easily accommodate a Queen (or King) bed! If you want it to be furnished its just an extra $15pw for a Queen bed and bedside tables/lamps :) We have a massive outdoor space as well, which is home to our lemon tree. Street parking is available and we also have an undercover/secure garage which can be arranged for an extra $10pw.
I’m a kiwi have been in Melbourne for 2 years now and love it! I work full time in a very busy Insurance industry, my week is very busy obviously with work and I also like to gym it most nights after! I am a chilled, laid back person. Enjoy socialising but also like my own space. Would ideally like to find a new place by end of October - beginning of November (if not earlier)
Hey all! I’m a 28 year old who works admin at a hospital (RMH) full time! I'm pretty low key yet busy during the week - working and suffering through F45 most nights - I’m not a fitness fanatic type of person though and I enjoy a glass of red, a laugh, a cheese board and a cheeky chocolate I try to get out on the weekends and be social and do things! Love to pat every dog, art (making, looking at, etc), gigs and music, having a drink and a dance, do enjoy a big night out every now and again, meeting new people - but also not leaving my bed because of Netflix! I have many plants, reading and can cook a mean toasted cheese sanga. Always down for an NGV trip. Not really looking for couples - sorry! Would prefer to live with similar aged ladies with great vibes! Last boring bits: i'm very neat and tidy apart from the occasional don't know what to wear floodrobe (in my own room). I am housetrained, friendly, and am happy for housemate family time as well as respecting peoples space and alone time. Would prefer to live in Carlton/Fitzroy/West/North Melbourne :)
Hey Guys, Myself 26 and my 6 month old puppy Rufus are looking for a new home! Its pretty important to us both that we can set up shop with some life affirming, open individually amazing people and hopefully around the listed areas, but open to suggestions. I am currently working as a Project Coordinator x Electrical estimator (Mon-Fri) However, I think there is way more to life than just work I consider myself to be a pretty chilled out person, down to earth, friendly and trying my best to be a peaceful warrior but you can be the judge of that. I spend a lot of time adventuring outside of the city and into nature, exploring the unbeaten track or searching for a new camping spot. Outside of my adventures I am often with my brother or sister who are my 2 of best friends, exercising or hanging out with friends. I have a young puppy named Rufus who is by my side outside of my work life. Rufus is a full time cuddle enthusiast and is not bound to any days off (you have been warned) He has an unnaturally quiet and gentle temperament and would be excited to share time with you also! His ideal situation is sitting next to the humans in life having a nap. He likes other dogs very much and is responding very well to training and will grow into a true gentleman. I'd love to hear about you if you think I might be a good fit otherwise good luck with the hunt! :) Sam & Rufus
22 year old Brit just moved to Melbourne from Vietnam (where I stayed for 3 months and did a yoga teacher training course and a little partying). Ready to settle and find a job in healthcare preferably/teaching yoga on the side. I graduated in biomed last year so I'm here for a year or 2 before going back to the UK to study graduate medicine with the aim of becoming an obgyn. Interested in fitness, reading, vino&beer, and obviously changing the world like all millennials. Looking for laidback, sociable housemates with a sense of humour, and clean communal areas. Drop me a message if interested✨
Hey there! I’m an 18 year old bartender looking for a place to stay for under 6 months, starting after the end of September. I’m VERY passionate about music and I love going to gigs with my friends. Looking for housemates that are friendly and social but also respect personal space. I’m a very tidy person and would like to live with others similar. I’m also queer so do not message me if that doesn’t float your boat.
Kia ora! (that's hello in NZ Maori) Hi I am Daniel, I am 29 and have recently just decided to move to Australia from New Zealand. I have worked as an auditor with an accounting firm for the past 5 years but have taken a job in Melbourne in the finance department of a corporate. My job in Melbourne is a full time 9-5. I love to workout, and also love to settle down to watch a good movie when I can or hangout. I only know a few people in Melbourne, so I am hoping to meet a nice flatmate and also get to discover why Melbourne is such an amazing city.
Hello! I'm Flo, from Scotland and Michael is from Perth, W.A. We are looking for a fun and friendly new share house. We are vegan, ethically minded folk who have 3 adorable pet rats so our new home must be rattie friendly. We're happy, mindful, laid back, respectful people. Home is important to us and we are looking for a place to be proud of. Both of us have had plenty share-housing experience and understand the necessities of being a topnotch housemate. We love cleaning, sometimes we play rock paper scissors to see who gets to do the dishes, really. Also we are pretty dedicated dumpster dive masters so there's often plenty of savaged food up for grabs! I really like plants, gardening, music, and a good old chill sesh, Michael is a keen photographer, cyclist and d.i.y'er. Both of us enjoy cooking and spend a fair bit of time creating taste sensations in the kitchen, totally up for sharing meals now and again. We both work full time day jobs and enjoy getting out amongst nature for camping trips when we can. Feel free to send me a message if you would like to know anything more.
We are a young international couple, Melissa German/English and Mike Aussie/English, that have decided to relocate to Melbourne after graduating uni. We’re looking to move into a relatively quiet home with likeminded people/couples. We’re both very outdoorsy and are interested in exploring the city as well as the surrounding nature. Ideally we would want to rent for our first year or so in Melbourne while we settle into the city and our jobs.
Hey! A couple of freshly-returned Aussies from World Trips. Billy has spent 18 months travelling and Kate 9. We are looking for a soft-landing back to Melbourne - something comfortable for us to re-start our Melbourne lives. We are looking short-term only, to see how/where exactly our jobs pan out, as well as Billy has a few commitments around the country in November. We are both open, kind, generous individuals and a happy couple. Billy is an urban planner and Kate a scientist/science communicator/legend (Billy wrote that). Whether it's an apartment or house of 6 people we look forward to sharing some time with housemates and being independent too. We have both already lived years in Melbourne so it will be super-cruisy. Both great housemates, looking forward to cooking and routine life again after so long on the road! Cheers
Hello future flatmates. My name is Kajsa and I'm 25 years old and from Sweden. I have been in Melbourne for two years now and I'm currently working at Melbourne Uni as a tutor. Unfortunately I've recently found myself between houses. On my free time I like to be surrounded by beautiful people, have good food and wine. I look forward to hearing from you, Best Kajsa
Hi, I'm Paige, I'm 29 and working as an interior designer looking for a friendly, clean, easy going home. I work a lot between my day job and a side hustle but when I’m home I love to cook relax and have good chats over wine. On my days off you can find me eating with family and friends exploring all Melbourne's restaurants, bars and galleries. I’m vegetarian and my favorite meal of the day is brunch, I can never get enough smashed avocado hence why I’m still renting (no house ownership for me). Originally from TAS/QLD, moved to Melbourne 5 years ago for study and family. I am very independent and respectful of other’s space and privacy but I’d would love to meet like minded people and build a little family home together.
