Hi Everyone, My name is Niketa (Nikki) and I will be arriving in Melbourne on January 2, 2017. I am looking for a place before I arrive. I will be attending Melbourne Law School in February 2017. I am originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Criminology and I am now pursuing my law degree. I want to find a place that is about a 20 minute commute to my school. I am a mature, energetic, independent young woman who has a vast array of dreams and ambitions to accomplish. I have a great sense of humor and I would say that I am a very social person, but I also like my alone time especially when it comes to studying for school. I'm a huge foodie. Toronto has every cultural restaurant you can think of and I love going out to restaurants to try different foods as well as cooking at home. My specialty though is baking cheesecake with a twist. I also love to read, dance and listen to music on my down time. I love the outdoors. I enjoy roller blading and going for walks/hikes.
Hi I'm Harry and I'm a 23 year old from London. I'm moving to Melbourne in Feb for my masters at Melbourne uni for 2 years. I'm a huge music fan, loving all kinds of music and I have been a DJ for the last 3 years, building up a nice record collection along the way :) I also love going out and going to festivals. I've been travelling for the last 5 months around Asia and now I'm currently working as a dive instructor in Utila, Honduras. I'm very very relaxed and easy going and I've been living in 5-6 person houses for the last 3 years and I'd like to find a similar sized house in Melbourne. Please get in touch if you're interested in teaming up or if you have a spare room in your house- thanks!!
Hi my name is Courtney and I am looking at moving to Melbourne in February. I am studying full-time and working part-time. I'm sociable and I like to get along with my other flat mates but I also enjoy some chilled me-time. I'm tidy and respectful and look for the same in my future flatmates. I'm not certain on which area I would like to live in but I would like to be somewhere with an easy commute into the city.
Hey guys, my name is Julia. I just moved to the big smoke from the lovely Gold Coast thismorning. I have always wanted to live in Melbourne and now I am here! Life is good. I am looking for a room in north Melbourne, no further than Coburg. I'm cool with a big house with lots of rooms or somewhere small. I have a cat named Sage. She's an inside girl, low energy and is desexed and twelve years old. She spends most of her time sleeping. I'd love for her to feel safe and at home where we go. I'm an artist who is looking forward to all of the creative opportunities Melbourne has to offer. I'm not a 9-5er. Hit me a message because my hearing is crap (ish). I am super friendly, relaxed, accepting, open minded and LGBT friendly. It could be rad. 😊
(Initial note: I am queer and sometimes gender-nonconforming/femme in my presentation, if this is an issue don't bother messaging me) I am a friendly, tidy, and responsible 22yo student, I'm also finding work over the holidays as I've only recently moved to Melbourne. I am always up for a chat but unintrusive, much of the time I will either be out or studying but I'm open to both independent and more friendly share arrangements if we have similar interests/get along. I am vegetarian and prefer to organise my own food, although I enjoy cooking and don't mind sharing at times. I don't currently have any furniture, however I require very little to be available (just a mattress/bed, but if it's a 6+ month lease I can source my own), and can supply my own kitchenware, other than an oven/hotplates. I'm looking for at least a 6 month lease, somewhere longer (up to a year) is no problem either. My move date is pretty flexible.
My name's Will, and I'm a 24 year old American in Melbourne for the next several months on a working holiday. After living around Washington DC my whole life, it seemed like time to go to the other side of the world for an adventure. I'm generally a laid-back person, I enjoy budget traveling and indie concerts, low-key bars, and hiking.
Hey! I'm a 22yo vet science student looking for a home. I'm generally laid back, clean and reliable, drama-free, looooove animals if you have any pets, and I come with some cute plates/mugs/bowls, an extensive book and magazine collection, and some random paintings for the house if there are any free walls that need decorating. Don't hesitate to message me if you have any questions or a house that you think I'll fit into! Cheers
Hello! I am a nursing student and usually work in health/cosmetic medicine or temp in offices (until degree is finished). I am making the move from Syd where I have held a lease for years and had my mix of good and bad flatmates. I don't really want the hassle of managing a house and flatmates on my own anymore. I have a house full of cool antique and vintage furniture in storage which can come with me or stay there. I am a good person to live with. I take quick showers, bathroom is tidy after I use it. If I cook I wash and dry same night, wipe down and no food in sink! I empty bins, tidy as I go etc. I keep to myself but can be chatty if you feel like it. I have a very good sense of humour. I come with two quiet dogs. I don't have people over or make noise. All my flatmates have loved my dogs. They would need a corner in a living room for their day beds or a really large bedroom so they could have beds in there. Believe me they sleep a lot. One is a greyhound and one is a mix. No barking, very good in the house. May raid bins if given access, so they have to be supervised if kitchen is open or bins on floor. Never any accidents in house. They don't smell doggy as regularly cleaned. A covered area in back yard or access to a garage would be needed for when I am at work so they can be dry and warm. I am extremely responsible and hard working so all bills and rent are paid on time every time and my dogs have the best of care and no responsibility is on anyone else in house to care for them. I have lived with 19 year olds up to mid 50's. I do Taekwondo and weights. My two best friends live in Yarraville. I love being busy and in my downtime I watch good drama or home Reno shows :) I like to eat out as well. I have been known to down G&T's or champagne and come home drunk once in a while after dancing all night, but that is rare these days, I lean to the left in my politics and would probably like a house that recycles etc..
This place is a split level apartment with views over Brunswick and beyond on the first and second floor. Centrally located near Brunswick town hall, an easy walk to gyms, cafes, supermarkets and public transport. The apartment has a dishwasher, air conditioning, a big lounge / kitchen area and built in robes. I already have a washing machine and fridge. There's also a storage unit at the rear of the building. The property is on a month to month lease, and you'll need to pass a check with the agent
I'm Jane, I'm 26, and I work in hospitality and I've just transferred from Monash to RMIT thus the move closer to the centre of things. I've also just got back from a year living overseas working with an NGO in India most of that time, and travelling around SE Asia. I love travel and balance that with working a lot of hospo jobs to try and save $$. I'd be looking at staying here for at least 12 months though as I save up for a bigger trip (going overland from Asia to the UK in 2018!). I've lived in share houses for about 8 years now, do the normal sharehouse things like wash my dishes when they appear and clean up after myself, and I'm good at using the saucepan method of removing spiders from places without killing them. I like gardening as well, mostly keeping herbs alive nowdays, and wrangling in overgrown backyards if I can find somewhere inner city with a garden 🙂 I love a glass of wine, cheese platters, netflix, and chill drinks, and going to fancy cheap BYO restaurants and going out to gigs. I'm not really a party person, and I am happy to both keep to myself in a house, or be super friendly and hang out with everyone, I've lived in places with different dynamics and I'm happy to go with the flow 🙂 I'd love to find somewhere I can move into by the 10th of December, but can be flexible. Thanks!
I am a fun, friendly and tidy 23 yd girl. I enjoy making friends and having adventures but at the same time respect privacy of others. I love dogs, although I don't have one!:(( I will be studying in University of Melbourne full-time. So need a house in suburbs near to the university. I don't smoke.

Hi, I'm Clint, I'm 28 and I am looking for a place to live. I'm fairly flexible in terms of location as long as it's easy enough to get into the city for work. I'm looking for a fairly social house - hopefully nothing too crazy/hectic though. About me: I'm easygoing, friendly and considerate. I enjoy watching / playing most sports and don’t mind a social drink or two. I’ve lived in a few different flat shares so know what's expected, what makes a good housemate and what makes a shit housemate. If you think you have something suitable please let me know! Thanks. Clint.
Hi, my names Izzy. I'm moving from Adelaide to Melbourne in January for work. I'm a nurse and will be starting at the Royal children's hospital. I'm looking to live not to far from the hospital. I'm pretty cruisy, I work shiftwork so wont be around all the time :)

Hi! my name is Hakon and I'm looking for a place to call home for the next 2 months. I recently graduated from med school and I'm spending some time in Melbourne to see if I want to do my medical specialty here. It's weird describing myself but I'd say I'm friendly and easy going, I'm from a large family so I'm used to working as a team and doing my part of the chores. I've been living in a hostel in Melbourne for the past 5 days, exploring the different areas in order to get a good idea of where I'd like to stay. If I find a nice room I'm ready to move in asap! I love going to concerts, sport events etc. Hobbies include Football(soccer), playing guitar, working out, reading books, travelling, exploring nature, deep conversations and meeting new people. I've lived in different parts of Europe, 10 years in Norway, 9 years in Spain and 6 years in Poland. I'm happy to share some whacky stories from these places and I hope you have some fun stories too share aswell. During my stay in Melbourne I'll be spending the majority of the time in the library reviewing before I start working in Norway in February. I don't need much, a room with a decent sized desk, bed & wardrobe is all that's needed to make me happy. pref areas Fitzroy, Collingwood, Richmond, South Melbourne, St Kilda, Carlton, Melbourne CBD, abbotsford, basically anywhere close to central melbourne Hope to hear from you, cheers ;D
I am easy going and always up for an adventure. I am from the states and will be studying full time at RMIT and planning to work part time too. I am looking forward to going back to school but I am also up for new experiences, traveling and having a beer with mates.

I enjoy my sport, live music, food, cooking and keeping fit. I'm tidy and easy going. I will also be traveling for work between 10-15 weeks of the year if that helps. :)

My name is Xan, I'm 23 (nearly 24!) and I'm from Nairobi, Kenya :) I'm over here on a working holiday visa, and want to spend the rest of it in Melbourne. I work 9-5 in the CBD so you'll never have an issue with rent. I'm a tidy, caring and chatty guy who is fun and sociable but also knows when to give people their own space. I love history, reading, kicking a ball around and am generally very pro active. I can spin a good tale and am always up for doing something!

Hi there, We have a large top level room with own ensuite to rent. It has lots of space and fantastic views as it is the only room on the 3rd floor. The room comes furnished with bed, dresser drawers and a desk. It also has an in-built wardrobe. Our house is nestled in a quiet area near Merri Creek, parkland and is close to cafes, bars, and 96, 1 and 8 trams. You'd be living with a 39 year old woman and my 2 daughters (8 and 11 yrs old). I am a law grad and teacher. I keep myself pretty busy and when I'm not studying or working I'm generally out of the house doing things and usually go out most weekends. My kids are really friendly and spend 3-4 nights a week with their dad, have extra-curricular activities and go to school 5 days so you would get your space! The house is fully furnished so you wouldn't need to bring any household items, although there's definitely room for any of your furniture in the bedroom if you wish. We're looking for someone who doesn't mind living with kids, can clean up after themselves and who has their own life going on. I don't mind if you're a student, worker or both. I'm pretty easy-going, love to have a chat about music, politics, society etc and don't mind a glass of vino. We are queer-friendly folks. If there's anything I've left out or if you'd like to come and meet us and see the house then send me a message or give me a call. The rent is $200/week plus $200 bond. This is inclusive of all bills, including wifi. Simone

Moving to Melbourne with a working holiday Visa on February 23, 2017. I'm laid back, respect the privacy of my cohabitants, and am always up for a laugh. I like to balance work and play and would love to share a house with similar people.
We're two friendly, professional Canadians in our 30s who are coming to explore Melbourne for a couple months this summer. Our dates are flexible. We're looking for a place around the beginning of December for about a 2 month stay. We're very respectful and clean, but we're also social and would be down to hang out and have a drink (or not, that's fine too). We love pets (just not cats - I'm unfortunately allergic) so houses with pets are fine by us. We'll be missing our dog and canine company would not go unappreciated. We're also pretty good at cooking and cleaning and all the other things that make cohabitation successful. Hope to meet you soon!
Becca - From the U.S. and am working full time. Just graduated from uni back home and am taking a year off from school here in Australia. Byron - Melbourne local studying full time and also working part time (~30 hours/ week) Both very independent in what we do and tend to spend a fair bit of time out side of the house. We do enjoy cooking at home most nights however are still up for checking out Melbourne's endless restaurants and bars. Have both lived in share houses before and like to consider ourselves respectful of all others.
