Kia Ora, I have just moved to Melbourne from NZ! :) Have also just secured full-time work as a social worker for Woman's Health West! I wasn't sure what to put for preferred for length of stay but basically am looking to settle in Melbourne for the time being :) A bit about me..... I can have a laugh, I am clean, tidy and respectable! I love being able to have quality banter within my flat with flatties and doing fun things together but also love my independence at times too! As I work full time as a social worker so also have a big heart and not judgmental in the slightest - very open and loving individual! :) I love the outdoors, getting out and about on adventures in my spare time and love outdoor exercise. I love coffee, drum and bass, friends/family, cooking.
I'm a Finnish male from; Helsinki, moving Down Under, to work as a carpenter in Brunswick East. My journey begins: 1st of November, in the gorgeous city of; Melbourne! - Easy going, approachable, reliable, friendly, outgoing, good sense of humour, respectful, handyman around the house, coffee lover, music enthusiast, snowboarder, and just a great bloke. I've lived in: New York, London, around Europe, India, Nepal and travelled extensively around the world. Whilst living abroad, I've lived with many people and have a great rapport amongst all past house mates. I'm happy to live among people from all walks of life.
We are a couple from Ireland and are moving to Melbourne in October for at least 2 years. We are sociable, easy going, fun loving, interesting people and we are easy to live with. We get up early and work hard (we are both Dentists) but also like going places and doing cultural things. We are active people and like gymming, CrossFit, running, footy, yoga, surfing, snowboarding/skiing. We also like to eat healthily and love coffee! We do have many other interests also, watching films, reading and we have travelled all around the world making friends with people from all backgrounds. We also love to have a drink (or 10) at the weekend or when we have time off and would hope to make friends with the people we like with and not just share a house! We've come to Melbourne to experience a new city and meet some new people. Looking forward to hearing back from you! Rebecca + Joseph
We’re both really relaxed respectful and clean individuals, hoping to be working full time in the process of securing jobs before we come over in late November. Enjoy socialising and also having some time to ourselves, looking to enjoy around 5-6 months in Melbourne and see as much as possible.
I am someone who comes home from the 9-5 and enjoys a few wines in front of some bad TV (reality/soap/classic sitcoms) in the evening. I'm a pop culture junkie and a cat owner. I go out occasionally but only to bars where I can get a seat and don't have to queue to get in. If you're ever on Millionaire I should be your phone-a-friend, especially if the category is cheap wine, bad TV (or general entertainment), cat ownership, or bars with seats.
I am a 27 year old osteopath. I enjoy living with people I can have a chat to when we're all home but enjoy my own space when I'm in my room! I am generally out and about for work and catching up with friends but am looking for for a quite home with non smokers :-) I have a washing machine to bring with me and am hoping to find somewhere close to public transport.
We are both very friendly, clean and easygoing, we a moving back to Melbourne as I am starting a new job October 1st. Brad works as a nurse and also travels frequently as a professional musician. We are both very respectful of other housemates and have excellent references from our previous rentals / room mates. Looking for something ideally in Fitzroy North with a back yard :)
Hi there. I work in Fitzroy as a doctor. Looking for a friendly home locally. Up for a chat over a cuppa or wine. Enjoy gigs, having friends over, cooking, being outdoors and active. I'm organised with paying rent, bills, no fuss. I like things clean and relaxed.
Hi we are looking for someone to sublet a room in our Brunswick East share house. The room is available from October 10 until November 7. The room has a built in wardrobe, full-length mirrors and large windows and is furnished with a queen bed with bedding. You will be living with 4 easy going housemates all in our mid to late 20s (One couple and 1 girl and 1 guy). Jason is studying masters of teaching, Annie is studying masters of social work, Ella works at a wine bar in Fitzroy and Craig is studying masters of philosophy. We also have a 2yo springer spaniel named Freddie. The house is spacious with large living areas and bedrooms with both tiles and floorboards, ample off and on-street parking, a big backyard with an undercover area, lemon tree and big storage/studio space, two kitchens and three toilets. It is located very close to Merri Creek and both Lygon and Nicholson St. We are looking for someone who is easy going but is responsible and can pay bills, rent and keep clean. We cook dinner together when possible and hang out fairly often so would suit someone who likes to live in a community environment. There is a bus stop right out the front and is just a short walk to the 96 tram on Nicholson St and the 1 and 6 trams on Lygon St. If you are interested in the room please message us with a little bit about yourself and when you would be available to move in.
I'm a 30-something professional who needs a quiet space to relax after work. I pay bills on time (usually early) and like to keep things tidy. Easy to get along with. I don't smoke and have no pets. I'm into tabletop games, comedy and sci-fi on Netflix. I like to eat healthy food and coffee is essential to my diet. :) I am LGBTI-friendly. Happy to occasionally chat over wine or go out for breakfast on a weekend. :) Because of where I work, it's important I live near a tram or train that goes direct to the city in 30 minutes or less.
I'm pretty relaxed, organised, reliable and really care about living in a tidy and clean home. I love meeting new people but am not big on living in a party house. I'm mostly looking for a quiet place to live as I'm moving out of a very noisy apartment in the CBD! ---- What I am looking for in a property (After wading through the jungle that is Melbourne real estate for 11 years, my needs have become very specific ;) 1) Split heating/cooling if possible 2) Double glazing/a quiet location 3) Somewhere well built where the neighbors can't be heard 4) Away from noisy main streets or high enough that it doesn't matter 5) Somewhere with modern fixtures that make the apartment easy to keep clean 6) Own/Ensuite Bathroom 8) Bedrooms that don't share walls. --- What I am hoping for in a flatmate 1) Someone who understands I'm looking for a quiet and relaxing living space 2) Someone who cares about keeping a neat, clean and tidy house 3) Someone who is willing to be reliable with rent payments and is responsible with any repairs/issues that might arise with the property over time 5) Someone who is cool with agreeing on some house rules to follow to keep things civil --- A bit more about me: I'm a 30-year-old Graphic Designer from Melbourne who works full time in South Melbourne, Monday to Friday from around 7AM - 5/6PM. I love food, films and checking out exhibitions, talks and local festivals around the city during the week. If I am at home, I'm usually taking it easy or working on my own design projects.
Full-time masters student, tutoring on the side. Respectful and tidy, love a good chat but also value down-time. Often found: cooking up a storm, studying or soaking in the sun from the backyard/balcony/other advantageous spot.
Kia ora! (that's hello in NZ Maori) Hi I am Daniel, I am 29 and have recently just decided to move to Australia from New Zealand. I have worked as an auditor with an accounting firm for the past 5 years but have taken a job in Melbourne in the finance department of a corporate. My job in Melbourne is a full time 9-5. I love to workout, and also love to settle down to watch a good movie when I can or hangout. I only know a few people in Melbourne, so I am hoping to meet a nice flatmate and also get to discover why Melbourne is such an amazing city.
Hi I'm Lockie, I'm 24 and I work full time as an electrician based mostly in the city/airport. I work pretty normal hours, typically starting around 7-8am and finishing around 3pm. But don't worry I'm really quiet when leaving the house. During the week I usually like to chill at home. Nerdier than you might expect. Nights at home are usually spent watching some sort of Sci Fi/TV, games or reading. That being said, doesn't take much to convince me to join mid week drinks/dinner. I do try and visit the gym so I can be out of the house a bit at times. Weekends are spent usually out with friends either going to bars or just hanging out. With the weather clearing up a bit I do like to get outdoors a bit and have an itch to start exploring more, whether that be going for a road trip, hike or camping. Pet friendly, especially with cats. I love music so I'll often be caught with my headphones in or playing tunes through speakers but I do respect noise levels. If you're musically gifted, even better. I do my best to keep a clean house, consequence of being raised by two massive clean freaks. That being said I'm not gonna be starting a war over some dirty dishes. I'm also happy to help around the house where I can and make it feel like more of a home. I pay all my bills/rent on time and also happy to pitch in for the basics. Lastly, I do have a lot of respect for people's privacy and giving them the space they need in the house. I also believe that good communication is key to thriving so don't be afraid to bring up any problems/issues with me. End of the day, I'd like for us to be friends, not just roommates.
Hi!! I am 24 years old Australian and looking for a place to stay for my PhD with CSIRO in Parkville. I will need to stay for more than a year, starting in November as my current lease expires in that month. I am a clean, social, chilled, fun person who loves to cook and willing to share food. I am also a Marvel fan and enjoy watching new movies and Netflix. I am a non-smoker and non-alcoholic. I worked in professional before for 2 years in Sydney. I have lived in sharehouse before in Melbourne and Sydney, pay all the bills on time and contribute to clean-up of the common area. I love to go to the beach and bushwalking on the weekend, exploring new places and enjoy good food from restaurants and cafes. I will need to travel to Sydney occasionally next year as part of my PhD project. If you have a good room, feel free to message me. Thanks
My name is Craig and looking to venture out on my own for the first time. I've lived out of home for a few years now with a partner but that has come to an end so looking for somewhere new! I am a student, studying primary school teaching, and i work part-time at a primary school as an integration aide. I am originally from the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, love sport, travelling, movies and have a very close circle of friends. I have options to move back out east but would rather stay near the city as there is so much more to do!
Hey there, I’m a professional guy from Adelaide, who just moved in Melbourne few weeks ago because of work and possible future studies at uni. I am looking a good place for long term either short term. I am into outdoors, rd trips, exploring new things and places. Music is therapeutic for me and I’ m always down for a good meal, cooking or TV/Netflix with housemates. I am a tidy person and someone who loves to keep everything clean after myself. I’m very respectful, reasonably private but social, always happy for a chat but not a party person. I come with a car so off-street parking is a bonus otherwise on-street is just fine. I want to have a nice cozy room and chill place to come home to each night. Happy to pay upfront rent for a good place. Don’t hesitate for further chat. Best regards,
Hi! As a couple we’re looking for a room! We met each other during traveling. I’m (Tess) Dutch and Callum is English. We’re both looking for a job in Melbourne (hospitality/retail). I love food and like to spend some hours in the kitchen. Callum is a musician. He plays guitar, sings and writes his own music. We’re both very easy going and interested in Melbourne’s music scene. We like to go to gigs, drink some beers or have an easy night at home and watch a movie or play cards. We’re friendly, flexible, chatty, tidy, cozy and like to do things together your our flatmates!

hey! I'm a 30 yr old easy going Canadian, that probably says "eh" way to much. I love being apart of a house that feels like a home, and that are enviro friendly! I keep myself pretty busy with mates, gigs, and other events, but I always make time to have communal dinners/ sharing a bottle or two of wine with my housemates. Im tidy/respectful and overall an easy to live.
I'm small, sassy and sparkly (that's what my dating profile says, anyway). I work 4 days a week in a government contact centre while completing a Master in Publishing and Communications. I love books! Talk books to me. I have a huge collection that I love to share around with friends and I love anything book-related. I practise yoga at home most days. I've also recently got into running and try to do semi-regular races, with my first 10k coming up in December. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and I really value my health and fitness in general :) I also love dogs (especially greyhounds), Netflix, dumplings and red wine. I'm looking for a cosy home with a decent-sized bedroom so I can practise yoga in the mornings. I work in the city and study in Parkville so being central is important to me - I don't have a car so want to be close to a train station ideally. I'm pretty busy and don't spend all that much time at home but when I do I'll probably be in my room or chilling on the couch with a book/Netflix, cooking up something tasty or having a couple of glasses of wine with a friend. I like my home to be a relaxing space. I love to get dressed up, go out and have a crazy time but I don't like to bring the party home with me, so I'm not looking for a party house. I also value my alone time a whole lot and personal space is important to me. I've lived in sharehouses all my adult life so I know the drill. I'm tidy and quite clean, especially if there's some kind of roster in place. I like a clean kitchen and neat communal spaces. I've lived in my current place for 3+ years and I love it but I'm struggling to afford it at the moment so looking for something quite a bit cheaper. Hit me up if you think I'd work for your home!
