Hey there, I'm Rhys! I have just returned from 8 months in England and now looking for a place in Canberra. Not entirely fussed on location but my budget is up to $200 per week for a room big enough for a queen bed. I am 24 years old and will be returning to my full time job as an apprentice plumber once I come back to Canberra (currently living in Sydney with my parents). I'm not boring by any means but I guess I am a typical 24 year old guy - I work hard, I love a beer after work and a few more on weekends, I'm into gridiron and I spend most of my time at home watching Netflix or playing the PS4. I am also quite clean and tidy, can be sociable but can also just keep to myself at times. I'm looking to move to Canberra some time between very late May and early June so would love to find a room available at that time, preferably with some people similar to myself. Thank you!
Hi there, my name is Sheila in my late 20s and working full time in city. I’m looking for a private room in city or near suburbs. I’m clean and neat and like to have a wine after work sometimes. If you think I’m the flatmate looking for, please feel free to message me. Cheers

Hi! My name is Raquel, 24 and I'm moving to Canberra from Brazil in July 2019 to pursue doctoral studies. I'll be working full-time in CSIRO Land and Water (looking for a place near ANU/in the region of Black Mountain). I'm a very calm, tidy and sociable person (but I also like having my own space). I lived for some time in Europe before, so I love meeting new cultures! I'd prefer a quiet and neat place, female housemates. I really enjoy cooking, coffee and a glass of wine :-) Fluent in Portuguese, English and German :-)
I've lived in a shared home and shared my own place in the recent past, so know all about respecting a home and ensuring that its well looked after. I'm the quiet type, enjoys cooking, likes to do my own thing while still being social with the person I live with. I work full time, travel light (so won't need a lot of storage space), and try to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. So if you're interested in having an easy going and respectful flat/house mate, just send me a message. Thanks
New apartment - looking at renting out for short term only. Perfectly positioned between Canberra Centre, Glebe Park and the Canberra Casino, Highgate exemplifies modern inner-city living. You'll be in the middle of all the amenities that the city has to offer, surrounded by a host of dining and entertainment options in Garema Place, Bunda Street and Braddon. On the weekends, you can unwind at Glebe Park, enjoy a leisurely stroll around Lake Burley Griffin, take in a show at the Canberra Theatre, or indulge in some shopping at the Canberra Centre - all just a few minutes away Modern living and sophistication in mind, each including private balconies, floor to ceiling windows and a full kitchen • spacious balcony • Full height windows • Stone kitchen benchtop and splashback • Modern kitchen • Italian brand Ilve cooktop, oven, microwave and dishwasher • washing machine and dryer • Commercial grade gymnasium, BBQ area, private theatre and swimming pool • Secure basement parking with storage cage Happy to discuss whether you need a share a room or rent out the entire apartment as I am open to both options at this stage. Can also look at renting the place out as a one bedroom apartment and negotiate. The apartment was only ready a couple days ago therefore it is still unfurnished at this stage. Please advise if you would like furnished or unfurnished. Strictly no pets, smokers are welcome however keep it outside in the balcony area. 4 weeks bond required. Please contact me for further questions and interests. Happy to send pictures as the website did not upload the photos.
I am a clean and relaxed professional. I like to catch up after work sometimes but highly respect each other's privacy as well. I have a busy schedule during the week and relaxed weekends. I am easy to live with and contribute to the house chores as well.
Not sure if I am great to live with. It's been so long since I shared with anyone but my son. People seem to like me though. I'm in a new city with a new job and new life. I just want a place to relax after work whilst I look for something permanent. I'm quiet, respectful, clean and easy to talk to. My idea of fun is to sit on a balcony overlooking city lights and vape whilst drinking Scotch listening to lofi. I am simple.
French girl coming to work at the Alliance Française in Canberra, I'm an enthusiastic person and I'm pretty much up for anything ! I like having a chat around some drinks or in a park, walking around, watching movies, listening to cool music... My friends say I'm easy-going, so I think I'm pretty much easy to live with :) Can't wait to meet any of you !! xx
Hi, I am currently living in Sydney with my wife, and I am moving in to Canberra from April. I am looking for a shared apartment nearby CBD for me. I am friendly and love to talk about anything. I love cycling, watching movie, and swimming ( learning :))
Hey, I'm an ANU student in their final year who works part time, and is looking for a place in the inner north. I'm very easy going, but also cleanly and respectful of people’s space (skills I cultivated at my last sharehouse where I lived with 10 people!) I’m very social and outgoing and always down for a chat. I collect vintage travel posters and spend my free time brushing up on my Spanish and trying to pick up French. I’m pretty flexible on the stay length.
I'll be attending ANU for a research fellowship over the winter :) I'm a biologist, I enjoy spending time outdoors and meeting new people while not in lab. I appreciate good conversations, respect personal space and I am looking forward to my time in Canberra. I'd like to rent out a private room in a house with a kitchen, preferably walking distance/ short ride to ANU.
Hello, I am a French student in agronomy and environment and I come to Canberra for an internship until mid August. I am used to live in flatsharing : I lived in Paris, in Warsaw and in La Reunion ( a french island close to Madagascar) in different flat or houses. I like sport, hiking, climbing and I would like to enjoy my stay for discovering Australia (as much from a cultural point of view as for parties or hikes). I am also looking for a place to live, and to a flat or a house, not too far from my work. I like places where there is some privacy but where you can also share some good moments : traveling, games, parties... I don't have any problem with pets, and it doesn't matter for me to live with boys or girls.
Hi everyone! I’m a 22 year old full time public servant/student. I’ve been living in Canberra for three years, and I am looking for a calm and professional home to move into, preferably with others who are also working full time. I love spending time with others, but also equally enjoy some quiet time and personal space. I’m quite a neat and tidy person, and I really enjoy having a clean home environment. I’m an avid cook, coffee addict, wine drinker, love the outdoors/travel, board games, watching movies/tv shows.. etc.! I do have a bit of a zero-tolerance policy towards recreational drug use, and would really like to live with someone who shares that sort of perspective in terms of living arrangements. :) If I sound like I might be a good fit, please feel free to get in touch for a chat! :) Maree
Hiya, First of all, thanks for clicking on me! I'm originally from Melbourne and I'll be moving up to Canberra to complete an Honours year at ANU - I'll be doing a project on climate change in New Caledonia. At the moment, I'm still in Melbourne - tutoring Environmental Politics at Unimelb and working in retail and other odd jobs. To share a little more on me, I'm quite a relaxed and warm person with a wide variety of interests and pursuits ranging from listening to too many podcasts to eating avocado and vegemite on toast. More seriously, I love to read books and watch odd documentaries and films. I also volunteer and try to contribute positively to the community on a variety of scales - currently I've been volunteering with the Environmental Film Festival Australia down in Melbourne. Another big thing for me is spending time outdoors - whether going for runs, walks or hikes around the place. I've lived in France, Australia and China as well as having travelled extensively so I'm very open-minded. I am a friendly and considerate housemate - open to spending time together and making nice little dinners but also respectful of my housemates' time and need to relax. I like to keep common areas tidy and warm and also make a mean veggie stirfry (I enjoy mediocre wine too, but I'm also fine with fancy wine.) I am looking for a small-medium sized private room at around $200 or less and am happy to share a bathroom/house with multiple people. My ideal housemates would be considerate and committed to making home a warm, comfortable and accepting space. I would like to live with people who are in their later years of studies or early on in their career. However, that isn't set at all in stone and if there's a good feeling between us then why not!
Current lease ends in March 2019, looking for a place to move in immediately after that > clean > full-time phd student > friendly and easy-going > respect others' privacy > have a car and happy to drive my roommate around
I’m looking for a place around civic or south side (ideally in Deakin - looking for a place there now). I enjoy conversing with my flatmates over a glass of wine, like to watch Netflix and respect my housemates' independence and privacy. Professional, postgrad educated. Last but not least, neat and tidy, can cook and easy to get along with 😀
Hi I'm Claire. I am late twenties and moved up to Canberra a year and half ago for work. I am pretty neat but not OCD and in my spare time, I like to hang out with friends, keep active and occasional netflix binges - don't hesistate to message me if this sounds like your kind of housemate
Hi I'm a 42 year old professional guy, I run a UK software company and looking to move to Canberra to support some of our customers in AU and also see my daughters who live here with their mum (long story). I'm currently staying in an AirBnB place in Reid, but need to sort out something more permanent. I'm an easy going liberal. Keep my self to my self, though happy to mix and chat. I like movies, reading crime fiction and talking with interesting people. Not a party goer though love to chat with interesting people and generally friendly and easy to get on with. I work form home and don't have much stuff. I like a tidy and calm house and am very respectful of others and their space. I'm a lover of the outdoors and likely out running, walking or cycling (when I get a bike over here) when I'm not working.... working from home means I need to get a out a bit! I like to cook, especially for others, so occasional shared meals are cool. My daughters (age 6 and 10) are at school in Reid and might come over after school or on weekends sometimes. They're lovely girls, but if you can't stand children then we're probably not best flatmates. I'd ideally like a furnished, good sized room in Reid, Braddon, Civic area.... Finding the right people to share with can be harder than finding the right place, so definitely up for a team up to look for the right place if you reckon we could make food housemates. Totally understand that getting on is important, so happy to meet for a coffee or whatever to check before committing to anything. Anyway - if any of that sounds OK, then please consider me for a housemate. Thanks Stuart

I’m a student at ANU doing my final semester of a bachelor before hopefully honours next year. I’ve just spent 6 months living in Oslo and travelling Europe, so I bring with me lots of interesting travel stories! I’m friendly and social and looking for housemates I can have a drink and cook with, but who enjoy a good and quiet nights sleep as much as I do. Looking forward to meeting you!
