WHO: I’m planning to move from Melbourne to Canberra soon - I have my eyes on ANU in 2018 so I want to spend the next year working and getting myself set up in Canberra. I’m quiet, independent and prefer to keep to myself. I’m not unfriendly and am happy to chat now and then but I am definitely not a party person. I’m clean, tidy and organised – when you see me around the house it will most likely be when I’m cleaning or in the kitchen preparing my meals for the week. I’m (mostly) vegan, don’t drink or smoke, and I am queer-friendly and pet-friendly. WHAT: I’m looking for a tidy sharehouse that I can come home to after work and on weekends knowing I can relax in peace and quiet. Ideal housemates will be tidy, responsible, and considerate of others. I don’t mind if you drink/smoke/eat meat as long as there’s no smoking indoors or drunkenness, and you don’t hang **** on me about my choices! I am looking for an unfurnished room that can fit a single bed, large chest of drawers, bookcase and desk. I will also need somewhere to park my car and some space in a kitchen cupboard for the bit of kitchenware I have. Internet access is also desirable. I’m hoping not to spend more than $200pw (plus bills) but would consider paying more for the right place. I’m hoping to stay long-term, but will also consider short-term opportunities. WHERE: As a newbie to Canberra I have no preference for area, so don’t be put off if your suburb is not in my list. My priority is finding the right place with affordable rent. WHEN: I can be flexible – hoping for mid- November but it will depend on what happens with work in Melbourne and, of course, when the right place is available. I would consider paying rent earlier than my actual move to secure the right place. HOW: I’m coming to Canberra next weekend (29-30 October) hoping to check out some places on the Saturday, and Sunday if need be. So if you would like to meet me and show me your place, or know more about me, please text or message me by Friday with a bit about your place and why you think I’ll be a good fit, and we’ll go from there. I might not be able to get around to everyone so the more you can tell me, the better!
Relaxed 22 year old male with a naturally happy disposition seeking place to stay while studying primary school teaching for 4-5 years Into video games and movies, always up for a chat or an impromptu adventure, ideally looking for a place I can feel at home and enjoy the company of the people I am staying with - I don't smoke and I drink occasionally I enjoy boxing for fitness/fun, am a mediocre table tennis and billiards player but make up for lack of skill with enthusiasm as I do with all aspects of life Am an experienced cook and live a clean minimalist lifestyle love animals so any home with pets would be well received
Don't be fooled by the age. I look and behave like I am in my thirties due to loving exercise and not having any children. I love yoga, pump classes, kayaking, hiking and riding my MB. I have been in Canberra for just over one year now, having come from WA. I need to rent until property prices improve in WA and I can sell my apartment. I have loved living in my present location but it is just too small and as I lived alone, I miss some human interaction. I am very clean, sociable but not into parties and certainly do not want to live with anyone into the drug scene. Small gatherings over dinner is my scene as well as socialising during and after exercise. I am looking for a trustworthy house mate who works full-time as a professional. Not looking for a best friend but by the same token it would be nice to have someone to chat with and hang out once in awhile. I have more female friends than males and would rather do yoga than play football and drink a decent wine over any beer. I am looking for an unfurnished room in a house with parking or storage options. Ideally close to a bus stop that services Civic.

Happy Thanksgiving Flatmate! I am an Melbournian who is living in Singapore. In November 2016, I am moving to Canberra for a few months with my Singaporean GF. We are looking for our own furnished room in a clean place and are happy to share bathrooms. - We will not be buying a car yet, so being close to shops is an important consideration. - Animal tenants is a plus, as I have kept rabbits, dogs and cats previously. - Sadly, I am NOT cool and don't smoke. In Singapore, we own property, have tenants and have been paying tenants in the past, so we know how to co-exist happily with other people and maintain premises. We are quite responsive to the needs to our housemates and can play hermit or socialite roles equally well, as needed by household customs. Just to note, we don't socialise by watching TV, listening to music or playing sports as we prefer to interact directly with you, when socialising. If you want to know more about us, send me a message and we can look for more common ground and productive house-sharing arrangements! Merry Halloween David

I'm a pretty quiet person, like to keep to myself but I am more than happy to socialise with other video gamers/nerds. I would love to live with similiar minded people, but not too important. I love reading and hoard too many books for my own good! I am from the Central Coast, NSW moved to canberra a few years ago for university. I have decided to stay here permanently and so need to find accommodation for me and my gorgeous Springer Spaniel. He's a lovely dog, gentle, gets along with other animals fine, quiet and house-trained. Very well-natured boy! For fun I don't really go out too much other than to the movies/random shopping trips or to walk my dog, I normally just binge watch Netflix series and play video games, PC/Nintendo.
Hiya, I'm a 31-year old student who's moving down to Canberra for the summer holiday. Ideally, I would like to rent for a 3 month period from mid-November (preferably from around 14th November) to mid-February which coincides with my summer internship at a government department. A little about myself: > Currently living in Sydney > Since finishing my undergraduate degree, I've lived mainly abroad including stints in the UK, Ireland and the Philippines. > I enjoy most sports and like to run and cycle > Next year, my partner (she is currently in the UK) and I have been accepted to live in Korea, which is very exciting. > I volunteer, I'm in a public speaking group and I used to do free-lance journalism for music magazines. > I drink occasionally and like the odd social night out > Non-smoker Looking for a housemate(s) who is/are respectful, fairly clean and tidy and will share a drink or dinner together every now and then. Thanks for reading :)
I'm a part-time worker (who does full time hours) and a full time student at ANU. I'm as busy as I am easy going - so while I may not always be around, I can be sociable and get along with just about anyone. I enjoy cooking and baking. Don't worry I always cleanup after - and share too! I also enjoy a good Netflix binge, game sesh and reading to unwind. I come fully house trained and with a PS4.
I'm a young, friendly and tidy professional who works full time, exercises regularly and has a steady social life. Pretty standard. Ideally, I'm looking to share with 1 or 2 others who are similar.

I am a mechanical mining engineer with a Permanent Residency Visa for Australia (SI / 189). I have received a 6-month contract to work in Canberra. As a workaholic, sporty over weekends, I enjoy quiet living at home. I am a non-smoker, non-drinker, and I enjoy reading, visiting museums, art galleries and the theatre. I am looking for furnished accommodation within walking distance of Forrest.
I'm a 26 year old working full time Monday-Friday looking for a new place to live in the ACT. I'm friendly and love to have a chat with housemates over drinks/dinner or even going out for social activities but at the same time I respect that everyone needs their space and privacy. I keep things clean and tidy (without being too over the top) and all rent and bills paid on time. I like to keep a relaxed and happy vibe at home - I have no problem at all with visitors but prefer to not be in a 'party' house. After work during the week I like to just chill out with dinner, a glass of wine and some music - I'm not much of a TV watcher myself but it doesn't bother me if others are. Sometimes I will watch a series or movie on Netflix instead :-P I enjoy cooking at home and also going out somewhere for a good feed. I have no pets of my own but I am more than happy to live in a place with pets. I've lived in a few sharehouses previously, I'm happy to share chores/housework and I'm pretty conscious of keeping things easy and enjoyable for everyone :) If you think I might be a good fit for your home or even have any questions, please get in touch :)

I am a 25 year old student who is about to start my phd after Christmas at ANU. I am looking to move in somewhere the beginning of December or end of November During the week I am usually quite busy and I like to go travelling when I get the chance. I am a semi-social hermit, meaning I enjoy going out for drinks, catching the occasional movie or randomly hanging out with my roomies, however after a long day or the approaching deadlines I'll most disappear into a netflix marathon of some sort. If you can binge-watch all of Stranger Things or Brooklyn Nine Nine we will get along superbly! When I have a moment to spare I like to read books, hang out with friends, visit my girlfriend who sadly lives in Sydney, or go for a hike. I try to keep somewhat in shape by jogging or catching pokémons, a necessity as I always end up procrastinating uni for baking pastries or bread. Unfortunately one cannot live a life on those delicious carbs alone.... As a roomie I am pretty normal. I'm easy going, I don't randomly break out in opera in the middle of the night, nor do I have any weird obsessions of hoarding dirty plates in my room for a month. I'm clean, considerate and pay my bills on time. If I sound like a fit, or you are keen to start up a sharehouse, let me know and we can meet up for a coffee.
Hey folks looking for a decent room in a friendly home for my girlfriend and I. I start work at the Canberra Hospital next week so we are looking for something ideally within a 10 km radius of that. It is a six month contract to begin with with possibility of extension. A little bit about us I guess. We are both from Ireland originally and new residents to Australia. We both work in healthcare and were based in the UK for the past few years but decided to check Australia out while we could! We are both looking forward to getting out and about and exploring the city. It can't be as bad as they say right? Looking for a house of like minded people who all enjoy each others company and the odd pint from time to time. Any questions please just give us a shout! David & Amy
Hi, My name is Kane. I am a 24 year old IT Administrator. I was born in Warrnambool, Victoria, down on the south west coast, right on the ocean. I have lived between Warrnambool and Ballarat (VIC) my entire life. I am relocating for work to Canberra and would love the opportunity to meet the right flatmate. A bit about myself: I have a passion for camping, the outdoors, and 4wding. I enjoy road cycling. I play guitar. I am passionate about technology as you could probably tell from the area I work in. I have spent the last 3.5 years working for IBM Australia. I love animals, kittens/cats in particular! I am very easy going, drink occasionally but not a huge drinker. I have lived in 4 different share houses thus far and know the dos and don'ts of shared living arrangements. If you want any more info, let me know! :)

From day-to-day, I love to cook, be healthy, practice yoga, go for runs, watch movies, read, and listen to music. Less day-to-day, I enjoy travelling abroad and road-tripping at home.
