I am moving to Canberra for work, has been in Adelaide for the last 8 years currently looking for a room preferably with own bathroom and a parking space(off street preferable). Office address is Mort Street, Canberra and would like a place that is not more then 30 to 35 by bus as i don't have a parking space at work. I will always respect your privacy, however if you need help feel free to reach out and will sort it out the best way possible!
I am a mid-career research who is currently a PhD scholar at ANU under the sponsorship of the Thai government. I am a Thai woman, who is tidy, considerate and respectful of others. I am in my early 40s and have had some saving from my previous works. So, I am looking for a decent place to stay and happy to share with a female professional or postgrad student.
Hi future roomie/s! We are needing a place for about a month (from the 3rd of February to the 6th of March.) We ideally need to live fairly close to Civic (inner north or Kingston/Barton area) but we're not too fussy. We also would most likely need a parking space. I (Erin) am starting a full time contract in February and am moving from the Gold Coast but I have lived in Canberra before. Ryan is American but has been living in Australia for a year and a half. We're clean and tidy, world travelled, respectful and all round good people. You'll love us! If you have any questions, ask away! Can't wait to hear from you :)
Heya I'm Bronte. I'm moving to Canberra to start working in the public service on Feb 4, and ideally would like a place around the Braddon, Turner areas. I'm a pretty relaxed type of person who is open minded and fun to be around. I enjoy cooking (so there will always be tasty treats for my housemates), good wine and exploring activities in the city. Up for socialising and making new friends, as I will be new to the Canberra (coming from Melbourne). I'm a neat and organised type of person, and have lived in share houses previously. Added bonuses + I have a collection of homewares and white goods if needed + I'm familiar with the rental process, happy to set up internet/bills etc and liase with real estate agents
Im 26, I’m an electrical apprentice looking for a room to rent, long term. Preferably Gungahlin, Phillip or around the City $220 max per week I don’t smoke Very quite, very tidy I enjoy keeping to myself Enjoy going the gym or watching tv.
Hi! My name is Sofia, and I am a 25 year old Masters student at the ANU. I am working full time at Parliament House while I complete my Masters at ANU. I am looking for somewhere convenient to both as I am currently sans car. As a housemate, I am clean and very friendly. Some of my past housemates are among my closest friends. I’d love to keep that kind of dynamic in a new place, but completely understand if that’s not for you. I currently live in Dickson with some legends, but unfortunately our house is being renovated, so we have to move out. I am looking to rent close to the ANU, and need a room with space for a desk as well as a bed. I am looking for housemates who are relatively tidy in common areas and are willing to share the burden of house cleaning etc. Other than that, I'm pretty flexible. Let me know if you think I could be a good fit for your home!
ONE FURNISHED ROOM FOR RENT! Apartment is located on a leafy street in Turner, 5 minutes walk from Lonsdale Street in Braddon and a 15 minute walk into Civic Centre. There are a number of great restaurants and bars within walking distance and bus stops nearby. Room and apartment are completely furnished with a walk-in cupboard, ensuite bathroom and underground parking spot. All bills are included in the rent including internet and electricity. Please note the apartment is only available from 11 February 2019 until 23 June 2019 while I'm on a posting interstate.
We have a master room available in a two bedroom apartment. The apartment have Gym, BBQ. Only 5 min to ANU and City, opposite to the Post office. You will have your own private space. And we will change a new set of furniture. If you are interested, just come to have an inspect. Rent is $480, share electricity, gas, and internat.
The apartment is quite big, and has a balcony on either side which can let plenty of sun and air in. Ducted air-con and heating keeps everything very comfortable. The complex has a pretty great gym, heated pool and sauna included. There is also a shared BBQ area for entertaining. The location is pretty amazing being right on London Circuit with short walks to Palace Electric Cinema, Lake Burley Griffin and the rest of Civic! The bedroom is big enough to get a queen bed and a desk along the same wall (probably a king depending on desk size). As I have an ensuite, you would have the main bathroom shown in the pictures to yourself. I have a Netflix account set up for multiple users and the internet is VSDL2 (fast) and unlimited. You would have an off-street parking spot within the building, and it is an individual spot (rather than a large spot that share 2 cars). The bills (Gas/Electricity/Internet) are split between the 2 of us, and work out to be approximately $165 a month (that's a rough average over the last year or so ).
Hi, I'm Charlie. I'm an easy going but tidy person, who enjoys staying fit and reading. I will be working full-time at DHS Tuggeranong. I'm looking for a place with off-street parking and close to supermarkets. I cook simple meals nearly everyday, and make some cocktails on the weekends. I enjoy socializing with roommates, but also respect personal space. Please contact me, if you have a room with its own bathroom. I'm travelling to Canberra later this week (24/1/2019). let's char. Have a great day!
Great location - right next to the city with street access to Barry Drive and a small courtyard. Looking for an easygoing flatmate or couple to take over from a departing couple. The room on offer is a private mezzanine room with a built-in wardrobe and a view over Barry Drive. You'll have your own bathroom.
Positioned right in the heart of Canberra City, this oversized two-bedroom apartment is not to be missed! Newbie in Canberra, easy going guy working full time in the tech industry doing HR function. On my spare time, I go to the gym, do a bit of sports and occasional outdoor activities. I like to have my own space to relax but I don't mind drinking a glass of wine or beer, watching Netflix or having dinner with my flatmates. I like to keep the house clean and tidy.
I am a 22 year old full-time public servant that moved from Queensland to Canberra in January 2017. I am easy-going, but respectful of shared and personal space. Most nights you’d find me in bed before 10, so I’m definitely not a night owl. I enjoy socialising over dinner or a glass of wine, but I’m just as happy to leave a housemate/s be. I play social soccer in the winter and am training for a half marathon in July. I am looking for someone to join me on a lease for a 2 bed 2 bath 2 car apartment in the Campbell 5 complex. If you think we might be a good fit, please reach out!
Hi! I'm Avinash ! I'm moving to Canberra from India to start a new full time job from February 1st. I'm friendly, easy-going and always happy to help out. I like keeping where I live neat and tidy, enjoy cooking, getting active outside. I won't be home much during working hours or the occasional weekends. I'm always keen for a chat and to hang out but also like enjoying my own space and respect that of other people's. As I'm completely new to Canberra, I'm keen see what it has to offer and moving in with people interested to explore with me or help me settle in would be amazing! Please feel free to shoot me a message if you're interested!
Hi! I am an APS grad starting in early Feb, moving down from Brisbane having just completed my Bachelors in Journalism and Law. 25, friendly, clean and tidy, have lived in share houses the last five years and college dorms before that. I'm always up for a chat, enjoy sharing a meal and making a place feel like a home, but appreciate we all have our down time. Love the outdoors, I'm anticipating a few hiking adventures and ski trips so would love a flatmate who's keen to get around that! Resident doggo/s not a problem.
Moving up from Melbourne in early February, and looking to acquire a room relatively soon after arriving (definitely before the end of February!). I'm completely new to Canberra and know no-one there, so moving in with people who could help me settle in to Canberra or interested in exploring Canberra with me would be great! I love going out and being social but I equally enjoy staying at home and enjoying myself. I love snowboarding, video games, tinkering with everything and building gadgets. I'll be working full time, so I will not be home most weekdays during working hours, but otherwise I have a world of time to kill! If you're interested, feel free to shoot me a message.
你好! Guten Tag! Hello Everyone! ;) I am an exchange student from Hong Kong, originally studying Environmental Science in Germany. I am an adventurous person who is very open-minded to new culture and people. I am a solo backpacker as well if I am not studying, and I enjoy trekking (spending time on mountains is always cool), climbing, and sports in general. My other hobbies include boardgames and experimental cooking! I am very independent and have been living with my current German flatmate for over two years. I am looking for a warm and cheerful room for myself during my 5 month stay in Canberra! Have no strong preference for neighborhoods. Hey and I am looking forward to my new experience in Canberra! Hope we could spend some time together during my limited stay! I will arrive in the city in the mid-Feb ;) Thanks!!
My name is Aaron, I’m 18 and a student at the University of Canberra. I have enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Psychology which i’ll start in February. I’m an easy going guy that gets along with almost everybody, and is considerate and respectful of others. I’m generally quiet and i appreciate keeping things clean and tidy (especially in the Kitchen!). I don’t require much, and i’m generally pretty flexible. I’ve had some experience living in a couple of sharehouses around Canberra in the past year, which has taught me how to live harmoniously with others and has also provided me with amazing friends. I’m always keen to check out a live gig or have an occasional bevvy, and i always enjoy meeting new and intriguing people. I enjoy watching films and i work in New Acton at Palace electric cinema, where i’ve been for the past year or so. I’m looking for something more stable and secure, with some brilliant people. Hopefully before University starts back up in February this year. Cheers!
