We're a British couple in our early 30s moving to Melbourne in the first or second week of October and looking for a short-term place while we find our feet. Alister is a university lecturer and Elly is an environmental scientist. We're sociable and enjoy people's company, but we're also respectful of their space.

Looking to get on a job hunt the second I turn in the last assignment though. I do enjoy my downtime of reading, trying to keep in shape and video games if I ever get a spare moment in the week but I am still looking to live with people I can be friendly with over the odd drink or by showing off my cooking skills.

Hi! I'm Maha and I'm a 30 (+tax) year old female. I work full time as an early childhood educator in Brunswick. One main thing about me is that I am one of the lucky ones who love their job. I'm not an overly party person but definitely enjoy a good cuppa/ a couple of drinkies and a chat with housemates and I am all for the odd get together/ dinner party/ game night. I enjoy spending time with people but I'm also all for personal time hanging out with my cat and painting. I am known for loving my tea, so there will no doubt be plenty of tea in the house. I read a lot and love movies/ Netflix either watching them by myself or with others. I've been in Melbourne for three years and it was the best decision to come here. I’m tidy, I pay bills on time and I like to make my house a place to be proud of.
You have your own private room, with a shared living room and kitchen (shared between you and your 5 other roommates) The place is in a great location at around 5 minutes walk to the university of melbourne, tram stops, woolworths, queen victoria market and many more! The place has great facilities for students and the rent is relatively cheap. The drawback is that your room is quite small and you get the upper bunk of the bed. (the lower bunk blocked off and is in another room so your room is still private). The kitchen has 2 refrigerators, induction stoves, microwave, a dishwasher and an oven. There's lots of shelves and cupboards around the kitchen as well. You also get digital control of the rooms temperature. Although your room itself is small, the public areas make it worth it. There's a beautiful view with barbecue and cooking areas on the 3rd floor (communal), games rooms, gyms and a small theater for your movie nights with friends. This place is also a great opportunity for you to make friends as most of the people staying here are students.
