Easy going, quiet, respectful, healthy, clean, non smoker. Don't mind a quiet drink at home but never bring the party home when out. Currently working full time in city centre so would like to stay nearby. Move date open. Looking for private room and own bathroom. Have some furniture but mostly just for my bedroom. Love pets but have no patience for yappy dogs.
Waterfront in Carrington ... Quiet , relaxed cul-de-sac.sac area with park & waterway a few meters from the front door. House is shared with 3 housemates. Cathy is moving after 2.5 years & Paul is also moving away due to his job. This means there will be two rooms available around the same time in about 2 weeks. Luke (36) is the remaining house mate & has lived here for 3+ years. He works in Sydney Mon thru Fri, so is away a lot. I own the house & manage it from afar (up north). I live in a shared house myself. The house is fully furnished with everything you could need, the bedrooms are not furnished although there is a brand new king single avail if needed. The carpet in bedrooms is new & I like to stay on top off any maintenance issues if they appear. Both bedrooms have built-in-robes & big bay windows. The garden is maintained by gardener. There are two bathrooms, with 3rd toilet off the laundry downstairs. reverse cycle air con, back courtyard with BBQ & storage shed.. Two fridges so plenty of space for groceries etc Looking for someone who is working, respectful , clean & tidy. The house has been running like this for 8 years & has only had a handful of tenants due to everyone setting up a home base for a good length of time.
Hi! I like to think of myself as fairly easy going. I love having a chat at the end of the day about pretty much anything, however I am happy to give someone space if it is needed. I work full time, so usually at the end of the working day I will take half an hour to myself to recharge and then I'm ready to be social. I'm very respectful of shared spaces and the privacy of others as it is something I value highly. Week nights for me are fairly quiet due to working full time however I am almost always down to have a drink or two on a weeknight if the day calls for it. I do have a boyfriend that will be coming over occasionally however I will always give a heads up if he will be staying the night (which is rarely). I am looking to share with other females around my age, or with a similar work schedule to mine, as well as girls that I can have a good time with on the weekend either going for an adventure or a night out on town!
I`m a down to earth guy, very big plant lover and aspiring horticulturist (hope you don`t mind a few indoor plants I have collected over the years.) Currently living in a share-house in Carrington but looking to start a new chapter. I prefer self expression through real-life interaction so forgive me for the small `about me` section on flatmates.com, super happy to meet and have a chat though.
I am a 21 year old uni student, looking to team up with a couple of people or find a room in a house in Newcastle. I have just finished my first year of Bachelor of Visual Communication Design and also work casually as a disability support worker. I only work day shifts so am usually at home of a night. I enjoy socialising with other housemates but also like time to myself. On weekends I like to go to the beach, catch up with friends, go for day trips to new places and occasionally have a few mates over for drinks and a platter before going out. I do have an 11-month-old kitten Nala, she is timid at first but once she gets to know you she is super loving, friendly and playful. I am currently keeping her as an indoor cat but at the right property I would like to let her be able to go outside if she wants. If you're interested then I'd love to meet up for a chat and a coffee!
Hi I'm Steph and I'm relocating from North Queensland to start my new role in Newcastle at the start of January. I will be working full-time and studying full-time so i will be a bit of a ghost Mon-Fri. On weekends, provided the sun is out, you won't catch me indoors much either and I don't mind a wine come Friday afternoon :) I'm super friendly and tidy and have lived in sharehouses for serveral years now. I understand the importance of personal space but am always up for a chat too. I would prefer to move into a place that is fully furnished (or close too), with off street parking and for a minimum of 6 months. Not looking for a party house but social events definitely welcome :) If i sound like your kind of housemate, please send me a message. Thank you
Hi there, I'm a 24 year old looking for a room as I am moving back to Newcastle after living regionally for work. I've taken a role as a Civil Engineer in the CBD and would like to be as close to work as possible. I'm pretty easy going, looking for somewhere quiet during the week but don't mind a cheeky beer on a Friday. Generally pretty quiet but I do like to go hiking and skating on the weekends. If you have anything suitable please let me know! Thanks, Luke
I am a 3rd year law student who also works at the uni, so I am there a lot! I go to the gym 5-7 days a week. Love carbs. Looking to find somewhere within walking/bike riding distance to the new uni campus in town, as I'll be studying there full-time next year.
Hi, I’m Maddi I’m 22years old currently studying primary teaching while also working part time at a cafe on Darby Street. I’m easy going, sociable and love a beer or two. I also have a pet cockatiel named Clark. He will only be staying with me around 3-4 days a week. He’s pretty chill and isn’t very noisy. I’m also ready to move in asap :)
Currently living on campus at the University of Newcastle, looking to move into a sharehouse. I go to uni at the Callaghan campus and work in Hunter St Mall, so would like to live somewhere between the two. I'm easy going, love the beach and socialising- would love to live somewhere relatively tidy and respectful but definitely enjoy going out some weekends and being around good people!
You'll be living with a bubbly, tidy woman who likes to socialize with housemates but is respectful of everyone's personal space and schedules. By day, i'm a full-time applied social science undergrad, mental health worker, and freelance writer; by night, i'm an amateur cook, music junkie, and undefeated Cards Against Humanity champion. I also love riding my bike and playing with my wee dog (though he's pretty old so he's tuckered out before too long). I'm financially responsible and generally quiet (i'm over huge wall-rattling parties). I have plenty of furnishings to set up a place if needed, but can put things in storage if we're doubling up so it's all fair and equal. At this point in life, i'm looking for a place that's friendly, safe, peaceful, and happy! (Must be pet-friendly) (Note: Not on the market for a single room in student accommodation.)
I am moving to Newcastle for work and am looking for some easy going and friendly housemates to move in with. I am tidy and respectful and have lived in shared accommodation for the last four years. I will be working full time so will not be home much throughout the week but will be keen to have a chat and the occasional drink and meal with others.
We love people. We love having people over, we love going on adventures with people, we love watching Netflix with people. And somewhere in all that we put our heads down and study. We are also really clean and tidy humans, just an extra side bonus.
I am tidy, easy going and social 20 year old girl! I study journalism and work roughly 30 hours a week, both day and night work. I'm looking to move out in Newcastle at it is more suitable to get to my workplace and I love the young social environment Newcastle has.
Comfortable 3 bedroom townhouse in great location near Newcastle CBD. Pretty well fully furnished besides the room for rent. Room comes with built in wardrobe, access to NBN Internet and shared bathroom. The townhouse has all the essentials plus an air conditioner, a small paved courtyard, balcony with bbq and a single car garage for storage. Good for either full time worker or student. We have a study area with desk and the train station and bus stop is within walking distance.
Our townhouse is perfectly situated in Maryville (Wickham), which is close to everything you would need (the shops, train station, local pubs and restaurants). Our townhouse is double story, with a large open plan kitchen, lounge room, laundry and third toilet down stairs, and 3 bedrooms and a shared bathroom up stairs. The room is spacious enough to fit a double/queen bed and furniture, with a large built in wardrobe and a window above the courtyard. You will be sharing a tidy and spacious bathroom with just one other housemate. We have a beautiful and secure little courtyard outside, which gets a lot of use in terms of hanging the washing, sitting around the outside table with a wine, or simply used for soaking up the sun. We live a stone throw away from Throsby Creek, where you can go for a leisurely walk or run around, or can walk along the water into town or to Honeysuckle.
Room in a three stroy town house in "lego-land" on Throsby Creek in Maryville. We are not a party house but enjoy the occasional glass of wine and chat around the kitchen/loungeroom. We respect each others space and work together to keep the house running smoothly. Looking for female to rent in Wickham. Three story town house dwelling with your room on the top level. Sharing with two others. Big room with plenty of storage and cupboard space. Own balcony. Very central to Honeysuckle and CBD. House situated on one of the best bike tracks in Newcastle. It's a sweet location: close to the water, walking paths and minutes from the beach/town. We have the NBN connected and pretty much everything set up in the house. The room is unfurnished but I have a spare double bed if you needed it. You would share the main bathroom with one other. I believe you need to feel comfortable and relaxed in a house so if you think you can keep that going here let me know!
NEWY/WICKHAM I have previously shared with 27 and 30yr old guys.that worked well because we were all clean freaks. Ha Looking for a unit above street level need sunny balcony, don't care about view. Will consider a fresh team up with right person/ people. I may be older, but this means I'm settled and financially stable. I am a retired high school teacher, looking to share a unit with my own bedroom and ensuite. In and around Newy/ Wickham. No car space required, non smoker, no pets, no children, no partner, generally mind my own business, and clean up after myself. I can be trusted and not a sticky beak. I value my own shelf in the fridge and small space in the pantry.
Hey guys! My name is Rachel, I am a Uni student and I work casually. I am looking for two wonderful people who will be willing to move in with me in the very near future! I am currently looking to transfer my current lease to someone else and then find something much bigger and nicer to move into! I will be on the lease and ideally you would sublet through me, so you won’t need to worry about the house hunting part or bond. I’ll sort all that out. All you’ll need to do is move in and pay rent! Of course I’ll be sending you photos of the type of properties I’m looking at so you know what you’re in for and you are welcome to join me at inspections if you so wish as well :) I would consider myself a neat and tidy person and would appreciate the same quality in my future housemates. Reliable and friendly! People who are happy to have their down time as much as they are to have a drink or five. I won’t be looking for places that allow pets or smokers, sorry! Please message me and let me know a bit about yourself and I will show you some of the properties I am looking at :)
Hello! I am originally from the U.S. and moved here almost 3 years ago. I am easy going and love socializing but also enjoy my alone time. Most the time I am just lounging, reading a book or dabbling in art. I try to get out and about as much as possible. Mainly going to the beach, hiking (if I can catch a ride since I don't have a car), jogging and just going on long walks to enjoy the city. I like to party but do it rarely and never bring it home. I work 9-5 in a factory in Tighes Hill as an unskilled labourer. Nothing fancy but it pays the bills! Just looking for some chill people to live with.
Hi, I’m Shane, I’m moving from Wollongong to Newcastle because I want a bit of a change and Newcastle is as far as I can move away while keeping my current (great) job. Not only do I need somewhere affordable to live while I tie up loose ends and settle in, it’ll also be good to experience the whole housemate thing, I’ve lived on my own from the get go and it kind of feels like I’ve missed a rite of passage. I’m an easy person to get along with, I have a good sense of humour, I’m friendly enough but I like my me time as well. I’m pretty tidy and I’m well practiced at doing household chores. I’m not a culinary master but I enjoy cooking and I’m ok at it. I work as a (passenger) train driver, I am a shift worker and I don’t expect anyone to be silent when I’m sleeping at odd times but I’m probably not suited to a (constant) party house. I try to be healthy and when I have spare time I’m usually off on long walks on a beach or cycle track or anywhere interesting, I also do a bit of traveling whenever I get the chance. I’m hoping to live somewhere convenient (shops/transport/beach) but one thing that I definitely need is a parking space for my car. I would also hope to live with friendly people of a similar age that are reasonably tidy. I’ll be staying (in temporary accommodation) in the Newcastle area from the 26th of November and will be happy to meet potential housemates anytime from then.
I am always up for a chat and I always cover my ends ahead of time. I work most days in town but either side of that I am always up for a laugh and a good time, be it cooking up a bbq or just having a few drinks with some good company. I am extremely tidy and rarely loud. Anything else you want to know just ask.
Hey I'm Georgia, an easy-going full time student. I love the beach and the outdoors, but also love relaxing at home. I enjoy banter and would love to live with other friendly, like-minded people who enjoy nature, good food and the occasional drinks.
I'm easy going and enjoy meeting awesome people! I keep my space clean and tidy, and do my part around the house! Hoping to move in with people who are positive and energetic as i am pretty outgoing!

I've lived in newy for a few years after moving down here from Coffs Harbour. I'm easy to get along with, clean and tidy, quiet and all that. Pretty good at doin dishes. No car, just got a pushy. Anyway, hit me up if you need a flatmate. Would be looking at moving in around the back end of November, early December. Cheers! Go the Knights
Hey I’m Dean (24), working full-time for the Newcastle Knights. Looking for a place in inner Newcastle area that I could bring my 8 week old kelpie x English staffy puppy to live with me. Love my sports/fitness but I’m don’t mind a cheeky burger and beverage although I’m not a big party goer.
I'm just looking for a nice apartment or townhouse close into Newcastle. i work 4-6 days so I'm barely ever home. I usually spend anytime I have just going to the gym, beach, pretty relaxed outside of work. looking for a year preferably.
28 year old Kiwi gal looking for a friendly place to make my new home. I work full time at KOFM/Hit106.9. Like to balance my social time and down time - so I'm fun but not in your face about it all the time. I'm clean and respectful 😊
This is a friendly, relaxed and mature household, with an awesome resident dog called Reuben. We were pretty lucky to snap up this stunning brick house with one of the biggest yards in Tighes Hill. We spend a lot of time on the back deck and under the huge tree in our yard. The house has floorboards throughout, decorated ceilings and stain glass windows, and a great bathroom with a claw foot bath. The house is in an awesome location with easy car access to all areas of the city, 5-10 mins to the beach. There is a bike path all the way along the foreshore to the city (10-15 mins), and a walk to the best spots in Carrington, Islington, and Mayfield. Close to Baked Uprising - yum! The available room is medium-large, has a west facing window, floorboards, a ceiling fan, and a gorgeous brightly painted door. Could easily fit a QS bed, desk and wardrobe.
