Hey, I'm Alex and I'm studying Visual Arts and Secondary Education at Monash. I'm moving down from Canberra and a reasonably quiet guy wanting to find a relaxed and friendly place to come home to. Not into: hosting raving parties, singing in the shower, coming home at 3am, yelling at the tv, etc. I'm appreciative of the odd-semi regular board game/movie night/shared meal/drinks but otherwise happy to keep to myself. I respect keeping common areas neat and tidy and am very big on cleaning up after myself. My interests mostly include reducing waste, impromptu craft projects, cooking and gardening and am happy to battle small household disputes with a game of chess or Mariokart. Hoping to find LGBT+ friendly and like-minded people.
We are a Scottish couple moving around and working in Australia as part of our Working Holiday visa. We both have arts honours degrees and we are moving to Melbourne for work. We are looking at staying from 3rd January 2019 until 4th February 2019. We are quiet, tidy and respectful people to live with. We enjoy going to the movies, yoga, the gym, reading and music. We are always looking to meet new people and share stories and experiences. We have enjoyed staying with all different kinds of people on our journey so far in Australia.
Hey there! Looking for a place to live for the next 4-12 months. I am keen on seeing different areas of Melbourne so don't mind if it is only a shorter-term lease. My selling points: - Often out of the house; - Will contribute indoor plants and wafts of delicious food down the hallway; - Will happily keep to myself or have a chat; - Have lived in many share houses around the world so I know the drill. I am clean (very keen on the idea of a cleaning schedule) and considerate of space (will clean up my stuff when finished in communal areas, and will try to use the kitchen when no ones else is). Me: - I have just finished up a Sociological research project on dating apps and gender norms (very interesting) and am currently seeking a social-science research position for 2019, considering a PhD for the year after. I also volunteer at an organisation advocating for more humane policy for people seeking asylum in Australia. - I play field hockey and generally like to be active. - Typical millennial who likes travel and food. - Non-typical millennial who doesn't like social media. What I'm looking for in my housemates: I am really into being eco-conscious, non-judgemental and open-minded and I am keen to live with people who share these values :) I also think it's important for housemates to openly communicate about expectations of cleanliness and noise (and anything else), so that potential issues can be navigated. Looking to live with people who are willing to discuss issues before they become a big deal (I will do the same) so we can continue on with a happy and sustainable housemate relationship. Shoot me a message if you're keen! What I'm looking for in my new dwelling: ~10min walk to a train station (or tram directly into the city). Anywhere in the South-East or Eastern suburbs. Medium-to-lots of natural light.
Hi, I’m Ellie. I’m 21 and am studying nutrition at Monash. I’m a clean and respectful housemate, I love to cook and always up for a chat, drink or movie night. Looking for a fun place to move into that will feel like a real home!
Hi there I'm looking for a place that is within 15km from the city and walking distance to public transport. I'm a clean and tidy person who is considerate, I respect other peoples privacy and expect the same in return, I can be shy at first but eventually opens up to people :-) The type of flatmate I'm looking for is someone who is respectful, considerate, tidy and that includes respecting there flatmate's privacy, and most important is someone that doesn't treat the place as a party house or who uses drugs !

Your room comfortably fits a queen size bed and desk plus has built in robes. There will be some room for furniture and if you have a washer and/or a fridge, that would be a bonus as the current ones are going with the flatmate who is leaving. We’ll be looking for someone to take on the room/rent from Jan 6st and you will be expected to go on to the lease so longer term stays are preferred. (6 months plus) We’re a fairly quiet household and don’t have parties but social drinks are always fine. There is a balcony for outside smoking only. The rent is $740pcm and there will be a bond to pay and possible Bond transfer fee. All bills are split three days are are additional to rent. Any further questions feel free to contact me and please include a little bio about yourself.

I'm easy going guy, after work I usually chill out but my plan is to go to some language exchange meet ups more regularly when I find a place to move out, I'm making it my new year's resolution. I'm clean, I try really hard to make sure I'm not leaving any dirty dishes and that I clean them and dry them as soon as I'm finished using them. I don't mind scheduals if the person or People I'm living with like to work this way to keep the house in order. I'm a floor laying by trade I work from Monday to Friday 7am to when ever depending on how busy my day gets and occasionally weekeds. I always cook for my self, not really the type of person to cook a feast for others because can't be bothered sorry. Things I like to do for fun and in my spare time would be going to see a good band, Excersising, catching up with friends. Traveling, sketching random things that pop into my head, Learning to play guitar. Things I'm looking for When living with other people are respect, relaxed nature, tidiness, reliability, no pets ( I dont like feeling I have to look after other people's pets if they go away on holiday or for some other reason, that's all) I would also like to have access to off street park for security of having all my tools on my car. Well that's a bit about me, I look forward to talking to you soon Cheers :)
Hey, my name is Cian! I’m on the working holiday visa having just moved from Ireland. I’m looking for a room for sometime in the middle of January. I’m signed to an agency that gets me temporary office work on the regular. I’ll be working full time during the week Monday to Friday and off at the weekends. I like to keep it pretty chill weekdays and go out and about at the weekends. I enjoy a party or two but quiet nights in as well. I’m super clean and would love to mix and make friends with housemates but also allow some space and “me time”.

Kind and loyal single female from the sunshine coast Qld. Looking for a place to rent for 6 months. Working as a nurse full time in camberwell. Clean and keep to myself.
This is a really nice apartment, spacious, lots of light, big rooms, and located in a quite leafy area. The deck and most of the windows look out over the surrounding roofs with lots of trees visible (see panorama shot from the small deck) Aircon in the living area. Lots of shops, and public transport near by, the location is very convenient. Two undercover car spots and room for a third parked behind (but would have to move for the others to get out). The main room has it's own ensuite, airconditioner and built in wardrobe, the second room shares the bathroom with me and has no built ins (but there is a cupboard in the hall you're welcome to claim for yourself). The shared bathroom has two separate sink/mirror/cupboard stations, so you can have your own bathroom space for those sorts of things. Also has a bath and shower. Currently there are three of us living here, one (in the smallest room) leaves in January to head back overseas, the other leaves in March to move in with her partner. The girl leaving in March owns all the common space furniture and kitchen appliances, and utensils. I will be going back to Brisbane most likely late next year so I am not interested in buying new furniture and white goods for the house, it's an expense I can't justify for just a year. She is willing to sell some of is cheap, but the fridge, washer, dryer, dining table and probably most of the kitchen stuff will be going. So someone, whether moving into the large room, or the small, needs to furnish the place, though I would potentially be happy to contribute some amount to purchases or white goods rentals, that can be negotiated, but I prefer not to. If I can't find anyone willing to do that, I'll be moving out into a new place, but I would like to try and find someone with stuff because this apartment and location really is so great that I would prefer to stay if I can. If you have all your own stuff, or are willing to acquire new stuff, then that's great. I have no objection to couples, but the owners only want three people in here, and I can't really afford to pay more than $200 of the total $556 per week. So unless you're wiling to pay about $350 between the two of you, it can't work. If you're a couple and really keen, message me anyway and we can discuss, but I'm not sure I can afford more and not sure I could persuade the owners to let four people live here, they didn't even want three initially. They also want a 12 month lease signed, so this is for people that want to stay put for a year. There are also possibilities of moving in before the listed dates, it would just take a bit of discussion. Basically if you're interested, let me know and we can discuss what's possible. Please tell me a bit about yourself if making contact. I'm happy to live with anyone that is friendly, respectful, clean and reliable. Rent is paid one month in advance. Bills are extra.

Hello there! We are Nathanael & Maximilian. We have plans to travel to Melbourne on the 15th of January 2019. Together we plan on working in Melbourne for a month or two until we can sort out a truck/van with all the essentials we need for a couple months on the road. Max and I met in New Zealand back at secondary school 3 years ago when he was on an exchange and I was a student. We have planned this trip for years and it has finally come time to make it happen. A bit about us Nathanael Lane - I am a 20 year old from New Zealand. In the past 2 years I have travelled all over Australia, China, New Zealand and Indonesia working as a freelance videographer and tradesman. I am a self sufficient, hard working young man who enjoys exploring, photography and am all about a good time. Maximilian Friedrich - I am a 19 year old from Germany. Over the past 2 years I have completed school and started my own clothing brand. I have worked in numerous places and have now travelled back to New Zealand with the hope of travelling, living and working in Australia. I enjoy music, reading and skating. We are open for anywhere to stay for up to 2 months. We are open to share houses and share rooms if need be. We have applied for jobs in the Glen Eira, and we will not have our own means of transportation in the first few weeks we are in Australia so anywhere close to a train station would be ideal. If you have a house with 2 beds available feel free to be in contact with us. CV/Resume's can be sent through on request. We look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards Nathanael & Maximilian.
Ian is 27, from Scotland and has been in Australia since February 2017. He is a roof tiler, works full time and has a job lined up for when we arrive! Gabby is 29, has just graduated nursing and has accepted a position at a hospital to start in early February next year. Originally from Melbourne but has been living on the Sunshine Coast since March 2017 for a little break and to study. We also have a little cat called Pippa, who is very friendly, cuddly and quiet. She will probably head butt you for pats, but other then that, she's pretty chill. (She will for sure stalk you if you're eating ham though) She’s already in Melbs with family at the moment but I really would like to get her back ASAP if it suits the house we move into. We are both very easy to live with, very tidy and aware that we are sharing a space with other people and to be respectful of that. We also get down with wine and socialising but just not every weekend anymore ... you know .. saving and that. We are moving between the 6th-12th of January. PS. I tried to upload a photo of the two of us but it cropped me out so you have a lovely close up of Ian and it won't let me change it lol. Apparently, it likes him more than me.
