Hi there! My name is Clare. I'm 42 (but still somewhat in denial...) and work full time in film and television. Was living in a great apartment in St Kilda West for about 9 years till I moved to Elwood to another flat only to discover what they mean by 'paper thin walls'. Have realised I'm getting a bit too old to hear a blow by blow of the neighbours lives. I've also had my pooch Ralph for the past 2 years and while he's mostly lazy, I have decided we both need a little garden space to potter about in, and somewhere he can stretch his little legs while I'm at work. Im looking to stay southside because I love it and work is mostly based south. After looking around at different options and realising that rent is just nuts now, I've decided to jump on here to ideally find a housemate or 2 that are looking to start up a great share house! (Or have already set up a nice little house/household). I'd prefer to live with people mid thirties to late forties who are laid back but responsible, beyond partying days and just want a home that is a comfy place to recoup and relax. I'm friendly and easy going, always reliable with bills and rent, like to keep my space neat but not OCD. I work long hours during the week and the times vary, so I like to take it easy on week nights. As mentioned, not looking to move into a party house, but with similar people who are employed, reliable and easy to live with, social in the home but don't constantly need to be (I've lived with a non stop talker, can't do it again). Have come across some pretty great 2, 3 & 4 bedroom pads southside, so it would be great to start a share house from scratch! Already have most household items. Definitely open to someone with a dog (calm, not nuts) as it would be great for Ralph to have a buddy. Unfortunately allergic to cats. More about me: love music, writing, photography, exhibitions, good TV series. Travelled extensively and lived in the US for 3 years. Have worked in a number of industries but film and tv for the past 12 years- which is what I always wanted to do! Love food, but not a fan of cooking...need a recipe kinda cook! Make a great sous chef however. Am open minded and enjoy meeting new people, a fan of new experiences, am no good with spiders (yes, phobic...makes for great laughs), love discovering new places around Melbourne, and can be bribed with a nice shiraz or vodka.
My home is located at the center of busy local shopping centre, this house is great for anyone who either working in the city or studying at Caulfield Monash University. It is only 30 mins to the city (and 10 mins to the University) by trams operated along Dandenong road which is only 5 mins walk away from home. It is also only 15 mins drive away to St Kilda beach and 10 mins to Chapel st. The Chemist, post office, grocery store, cafes, salad bar, restaurants and other local shops are just a step away. The house has a good privacy, and very quiet in the inside considering it's age, it's look from the outside and it's "too" strategic location from everything we need.
I am moving to Melbourne from Canberra as I have just moved jobs. I work in the Life Coaching industry. I am originally from India but have lived in Australia for 8 years. I am a very neat and tidy person and hope the same from anyone I share accommodation with. I respect private space but am always up for a chat or do any activities together time permitting. I enjoy outdoor activities a lot.
2 story, 4 br, 2 lounge rooms and study. Pool and bbq in back yard. Perfect location with tram around the corner (one minute on foot). 2 block walk to Caulfield Park and great neighbourhood for cafes, gyms, yoga, personal trainer.
I'm neat and tidy and looking for a place to live closer to work. I work full time and I'm very respectful and responsible.
