We own the house, and we love to welcome new people to share with us. We're not around too much but when we are, we love to cook and share meals and sit around chatting and having drinks. We like to head out with our housies too - to explore the bars, cafes, and lifestyle spots of Melbourne. The house is furnished and filled with indoor plants. The furniture is now slightly different to that in the photos - it's much more homely with more plants. We'll split all bills. The room is $300 for a single and $350 for a couple. The room has a mattress and built in robes, so all you have to do is move in! We're looking for singles or couples in their late 20's or early 30's who are fun, interesting and sociable, respect shared living spaces and like to keep things nice and clean. If you think you might fit the bill, please message on Flatmates, rather than phone, and make sure to tell us a bit about yourself. We look forward to hearing from you! Hi, I recently moved to Melbourne from Singapore. I am starting a part-time job near Docklands/Harbourtown and would be looking to stay somewhere nearby. I am clean and tidy.
Hey! I’m Daisy, I’m 32, originally from the UK but in Australia on a working holiday visa at the moment. I’m currently working in Docklands as a web designer and looking for a place to lease until I leave around April next year. I'm a super clean, tidy and considerate housemate and excellent bill payer! I’m a friendly introvert, also LGBT so you gotta be cool with that, veggie (but not shouting about it), foodie, non-smoker, heavily into movies and TV, love my music and going to gigs when possible, always up for a Netflix night and trying new restaurants or bars or trivia. I drink but usually only socially while out. Where I live tends to be a place to take some quality downtime so I’m looking for an adult flat, with like minded individuals to share with and chill out.
Hi all who might be taking the time to read this! My name is Ignacio, a 25 y/o guy from Chile, but hey, please keep reading! haha I'm moving to Melbourne to study my master's in Information Systems at UniMelb, and I'm planning to spend also a couple of years in this city. I graduated from a public university in Chile in Organisational Psychology, and then I worked as an IT implementation consultant for a firm based in Toronto. As I was awarded with full graduate scholarship, I decided to come to Melb to start this new chapter of my life. I usually spend my free time biking around the city, and visiting new cafes and bars, if not a park -depending on the time of the day-. I also enjoy cooking at home, as it allows me to save a lot of money as well. At home, I'll be usually seen either studying, cleaning the kitchen -yeh, I'm a bit of an OCD when it comes to that, so I usually clean after myself immediately-, or having a good chat with my future housemates while enjoying a glass of wine. I'm quite house-trained as I've been living with flatmates for quite a few years now both at home, and abroad, with people from different nationalities, so I'm also pretty flexible and chill when it comes to get to know each other and their different habits. As a Chilean, my mother tongue is naturally spanish, but I have been speaking english also from a very young age, as well as working (and studying a bit) for a couple of years now, so communication won't ever be a problem. If my profile seems like a good fit for your houseshare group, please don't hesitate to send me a message as I'll be very looking forward to seeing them. If there's anything else you'd like to know about me, please feel free to shoot your questions! I'll be open to having long distance interviews/calls from now, and for inspections starting from the third week of January. Thank you for taking the time to review my profile!
Little bit about me, I’m 24, I’m originally from Melbourne and I just can’t seem to stay away! I really enjoy travelling, hoping to hit 25 countries before I'm 25. (4 to go!) I work full time in the city, looking to move in a little closer to bring the work/life balance a little more into equilibrium. I'm generally I'm a social person who is more than down for a cheeky G&T and a chat but also my own space. On weekends I enjoy getting out, particularly out of the city up to the Dandenongs, Marysville or Healesville, (anywhere with a winery is a huge plus!). I also enjoy baking, Gilmore girls & brunch. Feel free to message if you'd like any further details! Cheers, Kim
My name is Shae and I am a young Australian girl originally from QLD but have lived in so many different places in Australia and Asia - used to travel ALOT!!! I have been living in Melbourne for about 12 months. I work full time as Mother of doggos at Seeing Eye Dogs Australia - yep kleenex pups everywhere!! I am also studying Veterinary Nursing - when I find time?? haha yeah right! I am super chilled out, polite and have been sharehousing for years so understand the importance of privacy, cleanliness as well as being a part of a household! I am an animal lover so spend most of my time with the dogs at work, pet/house sitting or hanging out with my lizards that stay with my boyfriend at his place. I will spend some nights at his place as well, so not at home always. Most of my friends are musicians so I go to alot of gigs but not really looking for a huge party house. Chill time away from said musicians would be nice ;) 420 and LGBT friendly is not required but preferred just so I know youre not bad crazy! When I am at home, I like to cook healthy (and sometimes naughty!), sit in the sun, have a tea or a few beers, talk shit about stupid shows like Rick and Morty, GoT, Walking Dead, Big Mouth or whatever is going at the time. I like to think Im pretty funny, bit quirky but also pretty normal? I feel like Im not great at writing bios so just let me know if you would like to know anything else :)
Hi! I'm Taner, I'm a very active and outdoorsy person, I cycle, climb, play tennis and a bit of soccer and other activity I can join. I also like time indoors, with board games, a doco or movie, books or practising spanish. I've lived in share houses before and know how to be clean, tidy and respectful, and can be handy when it comes to fixing things or gardening. It would be nice if the house is a friendly one where there are (ideally meat free) shared meals and other social time and where the occasional visitor or couchsurfer is welcome. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers :) Ideal housemates would be active and happy people who like to socialise, have a few drinks, that join and suggest activities, and who are responsible enough to clean up any mess they make.
I won't be in Melbourne until January but checking out what's out there before going overseas over Christmas. I'm a considerate housemate who likes to live in a clean and positive environment. I love to socialise but also appreciate some good old 'me-time'. I'm moving to Melbourne to find connection with my creative side and will be working part-time, moving away from my very exciting career in accounting and towards something more fulfilling. Ideally I'll be looking for a furnished room around Yarraville / Footscray or the Brunswick area. I'm a new vegan and would love to live with others who share the same mentality. I also will be living away from my husband and dog and would love to live with kind, considerate people and/or pets :)
Just arrived home from overseas, looking to work and move to Melbourne - from Ballarat.
Hiii I'm Kirsty, A laid back kiwi who's moving from Brissy very soon, Im Single, social but keep to myself as well, don't mind a beer or 2, But I enjoy my alone time as much as the next. I'm moving for a change of lifestyle and Scenery until my next adventure overseas.
Hi there, I’m looking for a place to call home not a room to rent. I’m easygoing, always up for a friendly chat and try my best to get to know my housemate because there’s nothing worse than an awkward conversation 😬 I work full time in the financial services industry and like to come home and just switch off. I’m house trained and I like to keep everything around me clean and neat. If you’ve got any questions please don’t hesitate to ask :)
I am an international student from Indonesia who will be starting my postgraduate course at the University of Melbourne early 2018. I am neat and tidy, and respectful of personal space. I love pets and going for nature walks, as well as spending some chill time at home or checking out that new brunch place in the area!
Hello fellow Melbourne residents! We are 2 Sydney natives, starting university in Melbourne in February 2018. We are 20 & 21, studying Science & Arts, well travelled and cultured. I have lived with housemates before so I understand and respect general house rules. We are both clean and we generally keep to ourselves unless we feel comfortable with company. We are regular drinkers (unfortunately) and occasional smokers. We plan to study full time and work part-time, with the help of government welfare so there will be no financial issues. Here are a few of our favourite things! 1. MUSIC - we're huge music fans, a few faves listed below: - The Contortionist - Balance & Composure - Karnivool - Erra (and many more but I don't want to bore you) 2. Movies, favourite directors include - Christopher Nolan - Guillermo del Toro - Quentin Tarantino 3. Travelling, some of the cities we have visited - Lisbon - Seville - Bordeaux - Seoul - Berlin 4. FOOD - our travel is just an excuse to eat as much as possible. We love learning to cook and already we have drastically improved our culinary skills. We are meat eaters but try to maintain a vegetarian diet as much as possible and generally save meat for weekends or special occasions.
Currently studying full time at RMIT city campus, I am living in South Melbourne at the moment and am wanting to move due to the rent being very high. I am extremely reliable and and good at keeping things clean. Would love to move in with others also at uni, I am very respectful of peoples privacy and love to have a chat and do enjoy binge watching some Netflix. Please feel free to send me a message :)
Easy to get along with, very accepting of all walks of life, love to socialise, but like my own space too - would love to find a housemate to drink wine and watch netflix with!
British born and raised, been living in NZ for the last 4 years and now moving across the pond! Easy-going and social, enjoy cooking. Will be working as a doctor but hours won't be too crazy!
Hi all, my name is Dylan. Recently graduated uni, and working hospitality 4-5 days a week in the city. I've been a part of the sharehouse game for quite some time, throughout uni, and am looking to make the jump from the southeast to the wonderful northern suburbs! I'm a Tasmanian, and go back a few times a year to visit the trees and endearing bogans. I enjoy a few quiet beers, bbqs, gardening, vegging out with a book on a comfy rug or patch of grass, hiking, roadtrips and tacos. I also like to tinker with things and am a real fan of the versatility of milk crates. I have a decent lot of experience with sharehousing, and can be social or quiet as the house mood calls for. Currently looking for a place in the vicinity of 6 months, but I am flexible in this regard. My current lease expires on the 4th December, so to have a new place arranged around this date would be great, but not essential. Hit me up if you think I'd make a good match for your place!
I'm a 25 y/o graduate architect working full time in Fitzroy. I like to spend my evenings and weekends out with friends, frequenting art galleries or going hiking! I've been in share houses for the past 6 years so I know the drill. I would prefer to find a home where everyone is independent but would enjoy sharing the occasional dinner or glass of wine after work.
My name is Matteo, i am a 28 years old working in butchering looking for a place with one or two people to live. i have previously lived with few housemates, and currently live in a share house. i am very easy going, more than happy to meet new people, i like have a glass of wine after a long day of work, also i love cooking french dish because i am french. If my profile sounds good to you, don't be afraid to send me a message.
Hi my name is Liam, I am a professional Audiovisual Technician who needs a home. I have just come back from overseas and I work 3 jobs part time in Docklands, Port Melbourne and North Melbourne so I have a fairly busy life, however when I'm home I love to sit back and have a few bevs, watch some footy or play some playstation. Love my footy and my cricket, my movies, my music (I can play multiple instruments but just every now and then these days) and huge game of thrones fan about ready to lose my shit when the new season hits but thats a whoooole other conversation. Originally a country bloke turned Melbournian, I'm the next best fit for your home and I can come with pretty much whatever you need (fridge, washing machine, dryer, TV, couches, BBQ, Dining Table, monopoly etc, all the important things and I basically have a whole house). Only conditions are I'm mildly allergic to cats (although I have been living with one for a month now and nothing has happened so far) (I also love dogs!) and I have a car and a cactus that needs a place to stay as well as I. If you are nearish to a train station that would be aces too! Easy going, I'll be your best mate and together we can rule the world. Why should I be your housemate? Because I'm Batman :)
