I am currently studying at the University of Newcastle (Newspace). I enjoy reading, cooking and catching up with friends over tea. I currently work within the sales/retail sector and volunteer with various activities. Love a good chat over movies, current events, The Simpsons and/or similar interests. I am respectful to the parameters of quiet time and understand the importance of maintenance and duties. Kind Regards, Summer.
Heyyy, I am Damilola, 23 and currently a student at UON city campus. I am looking for roomies (Preferably females) keen on teaming up and finding a place to call home together in this suburbs or other suburbs within close range. The same age group would be nice and are keen on making good friends. I am also flexible on the rent and move in date- a week or two before my lease expires. I am clean, organized and easy-going. I don't mind a bevvy and hang out whenever possible. I love a good laugh at each moment, I am aware of the need for space and I also wouldn't mind pets or parties. I currently got into Yoga - which I am very keen on atm, I dance salsa, go to the gym but would love to go a lot more. I am defo one for any form of adventure- always willing to try something new. Ps: My cooking skill is either off the chart or Kitchen Nightmares worthy. Hit me up! And we could start looking for a place to call home together.
I’m aiming to move to Newcastle in May, preferably close to the beach and cbd. I work mon-fri in disability support and will be home mainly in the evenings or on wknds if I’m not out and about. Im super easygoing, clean, reliable and respectful of others. I appreciate coming home to a clean house so it’d be nice to have roommates who feel the same and do their part. I do my best to stay active with yoga, jiu jitsu, camping, the beach etc. I enjoy the occasional night out and few wines/beers at home but I can take it or leave it. I’m not interested in a party house, those days are gone, just a nice place to chill with easygoing roommates.
Hey, I am a 25 year old student looking to move to Newcastle for my job in Newcastle West. I am very active and always out surfing or trying some new fad I will probably get bored of in a month. Looking to live with a bunch of likeminded social people who willing happily share a meal or a glass of wine.
Hey! I’ve just moved up here from Merimbula on the far south coast and I’m looking for a room to rent and some great housemates. I work mon - fri around 40 hrs with early starts (7am latest) and spend weekends at the beach, in bed watching movies or out on the town on the piss. I’m not looking for a party house however I’d want easy going housemates that wouldn’t mind a few friends over for pre drinks on the odd occasion and wouldn’t mind someone who has mates over themselves. Housemates that would join me for a beer in the arvo would be even better! Early to mid twenties would be ideal. This won’t be my first sharehouse so I’m all familiar with responsibilities included in sharing including cleaning duties and respecting others personal boundaries. I don’t leave dirty dishes laying around and don’t scatter my personal belongings through the house. I haven’t yet achieved making my bed every day but I am very clean and definitely clean up after myself! I’m pretty easy going and flexible on what I want, just looking for other chilled people to live with really :-)
I am a 25yo male and work full time as an engineer, but I love the outdoors and my sports. I play football and like getting to the beach, hiking and camping. I enjoy a bit of cooking and I also like to have a tidy house and room. I'm hoping to move to social and friendly house and make a few mates. Somewhere near the beach would be sick.
Hello! I’m british, Laid back, and like living in tidy places!! I love being outdoors, heading to the gym, and baking. Currently in Tasmania, but coming back in August. I’d love a sociable house. I already have plenty of friends in Newy and know my way around, as I have been living in Hamilton for nearly a year, always keen to meet new people and try new things!
Hey guys and gals, I'm a 23-year-old graphic designer who's moving to Newy in August for a new (full-time) job. I'm moving from Melbourne because it's bloody cold here in winter and having grown up around the coastal areas of Kangaroo Island and Adelaide, I miss being near the beach. I like to keep busy doing fun things i.e. cooking, surfing, skating, exploring and having a yarn over a few drinks when not at work, and like to keep fit by going for a run/doing gym classes etc. I'm easygoing, clean and tidy and would like to live with people who are too :) At the moment I live with an advertising creative, a nurse and an occupational therapist (all guys), so I'm used to a household with varying schedules. I currently work at a nursery (of the horticulture variety) as well as working a design job, and would love a bit of a backyard to garden/grow food, but am also happy to go without and just fill the house with my extensive plant collection. Happy to live with a fair range of age groups–most of my friends and my three housemates here are in their mid-late 20s or early 30s–in the Newcastle area. Ideally, I'd like to move into an existing house to make the move easier, and I've got no qualms about signing onto a lease if necessary. Would love to have a little Skype meet and greet if you think I sound like someone you'd be keen to have around (can provide endorsements from biased friends and current housemates). If things go well from there and you think it's necessary, I can arrange to visit before August.
My name is Nick, I’m moving back to Newcastle and looking for a place to settle in after living in Sydney the past 2yrs. I’m easy going, clean and tidy, I’m 27yrs old, an electrician (will need a garage or some storage) and working full time. Outside of work I like to go away camping, playing and watching sports, keeping fit by going to the gym, swimming, cycling or any activity really, going to gigs and festivals or just relaxing at the beach or at home. I’ve lived in share houses for the past 4yrs in London and Sydney and have made some great friends, so I’d like to think I’m pretty easy to live with. I’m respectful of everyone in the house, always pay my bills on time and do my part of the housework
Hey potential roomies! My name's Amy, I'm 22 and chipping away at uni in hopes of one day finishing a pesky law degree, while working part time (20-30 hours/week) in retail. I spent last year backpacking and living in hostels so I've got a lot of respect for communal spaces and keeping things tidy. I enjoy my space and alone time, but I'm looking for friends more than housemates! A bit about me: - I'm vego (though I don't need my housemates to be) and love to cook - Keen hiker - Garbage reality TV watcher (hello Bachelor) - Loves a good boogie on the weekends Shoot me a message if it sounds like we'd get along!
Hi, I'm Diane and working full time in Hospitality. I enjoy going to the beach or do an outdoor activities if I'm not working. I love camping too! I'm so easy to get a long with, I know how to respect someone's privacy but always keen for a chat and laugh over nibbles and wine. Very sociable and polite, and pretty cool to jive with any ages and gender. I'm also keen for team up with maximum 4 tenants, male/female. Looking for a long term occupancy.
Location location location! Within a 1 min walk of Darby St CBD and from my best guess within 300m to over 50 bars/cafe/restaurants/pubs etc. Super close to the beaches. Views of civic park from the balcony. This place is excellently positioned. This town house itself boasts a huge kitchen, living area and a decently sized balcony for entertaining. Fully fitted with all appliances and furniture at your disposal. The bedroom is not furnished, however comes with built in wardrobe.
Absolutely teriffic location. A two minute walk from Darby st with all it has to offer. 15 minute walk to Bar Beach. The unit is on the first floor and has recently been renovated. The photos shown are from the real-estate as I dont move in until 20/04. The place will be fully furnished with modern furniture. Im a clean guy and like to look after my things. Ill be getting Foxtel and internet connected. The bedroom is a generous size with a mirrored built in robe. Off-street parking is available but the garage will be used for storage (im getting all my household items shipped over from WA as Ive relocated a year ago, will need to sort out what will fit in the house) Theres also an awesome entertainment deck on the top of the building with great views. I have the keys to the property and will be moving in this Friday. Still waiting on furniture to arrive from Perth so if you would like to come and view the property, it may look a little minimalist!
Hi there. My name is Maddie and I am a finance professional in the process of relocating from Auckland NZ to Newcastle. I am originally from Adelaide. I have flatted in both NZ and Australia and have found it a great way to make new friends and get to know people. I am easy to live with and respect my fellow flatties. I love a good red wine and a chat on the couch after work, and the occasional BYO. I also love the beach and surfing. Keeping fit and healthy is important to me. I am going to give biking to work a go for a while too! I am currently travelling but a looking forward to coming home and seeing family and friends.
Currently work part time as a vet nurse in a hospital in Willoughby. Looking to move to Newcastle in the next month. I enjoy socialising and going on adventures, whether it be bush walking or finding the best burrito. I have a Moodle named Alfred which i would love to bring with me. I enjoy baking, going to the beach, music festivals, any activity with animals and spending time with friends!
My name is Emily, I am 29 and working full time as an environmental consultant in newcastle. I enjoy spending a lot of my spare time outdoors, especially hiking and camping. I love spending time at the beach and hanging out with friends. I really enjoy cooking as well I am very neat and respectful of shared spaces. I would be keen to find friendly and social housemates of a similar age :)
ABOUT THE HOUSE The house is located in the heart of Cooks Hill. Free standing with a beautiful back deck and small yard. The house itself has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The second bathroom (which we don't use) is attached to the laundry and we are happy to let you have exclusive use of this if you preferred. Location wise, you will be hard-pressed to find better! Welsh Blacks for your caffeine fix is 150 metres away with the Commonwealth, Oriental and Cricketers Arms hotels all within 500 metres. Aldi is one street over and Marketown a couple of blocks. In the other direction, you have Darby Street and all its offerings while the beach is a comfortable 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive. We absolutely love the location and the lifestyle it brings. On-street parking only which can be tricky at times. But there is usually always parking around the corner on Parry St and in all honesty, with this location, you don't really need to use a car too much outside of a work commute. The house is fully furnished apart from the room. ABOUT THE ROOM The room itself is a decent size. It currently has a double bed in it, but that can be removed if you have your own. There are no built-ins in the room either but nothing a quicksearch or visit to Storage World won't be able to fix. With the double bed in the room at the moment there is still plenty of space and would easily fit a queen size bed with room for a bedside table, clothes storage etc. As mentioned before there are two bathrooms and the second one we don't use so if you wanted your own bathroom, that can be arranged. COST Rent is $240 per week - this includes all bills (water, gas, electricity, unlimited NBN internet, Netflix in the lounge room and the lawn mown as needed). A bond of 2 weeks is also needed. We don't have a cleaner at the moment as we keep the place pretty clean, but happy to discuss getting one if it makes things easier for all. We are happy to consider someone on a short-term (4-6 weeks) trial to see if it works for everyone before committing longer-term, but can discuss the finer details if we get that far.
I'm a chef, and studying nutrition part time. Clean and tidy housemate, pay rent/bills on time, respectful of other peoples space and privacy. Interests include cooking, fitness, waterskiing, binging on Netflix, and a few cheeky arvo beers. Looking for a place thats social, but also respects people needing their own space from time to time.
I consider myself really easy going & relaxed, I like my own space but also enjoy socialising with like minded people. I work full time & in my spare time I'm usually practising yoga, cooking, reading, swimming & spending time outdoors. I generally like to keep communal areas of the house really clean/tidy & am respectful of other peoples space. I'm also very reliable with rent/bills & all that jazz!
My name is Sarah and I’m looking for a lovely place to live where everyone gets along and we all have a great time 😊 I study a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design at UON and have just moved off college. I originally come from a small country town in North West NSW, so I’m a country girl at heart 👩🏽🌾 I'm looking to live with like minded people who preferably are health conscious, enjoy yoga/exercise/gym, nice walks along the beach, casual brekky dates or cooking for one another, hanging out together, or occasionally going out if there comes the chance. I’m also very respectful of others space and privacy, as well as having that alone time for myself as well 🙃 I’m not the party type of girl, I don’t go out often and if I do it’s for casual cocktails with a couple of friends. I’m also a super clean freak, so I like to keep things looking nice, organised and fresh! ✨ So yeah, if you’d like to catch up for a chat or a coffee please get in contact with me! I would love to hear from you- especially if you feel like I’d fit into your lovely home 🙂
Hi! I'm a full time art student - starting degree in Natural History Illustration this year at UON and i work weekends in retail. Long term preferred. Would also be up for teaming up for a new place with a realestate. Mereweather-ish preferred. not a big party person, being 30(ish) i prefer red wine and cheese platters to beer bongs, but do enjoy a good bevvy filled banter in the yard and a cheeky night out once in a while. red wine is the nectar of the gods and cheese platters complete with crackers, dips and cured meat selections are dinners of champions who can't be bothered with real food. chocolate is a constant. disney isn't just for kids. Looking for friendly and interactive housemates that like to hangout, I don’t really know anyone up here yet, so friendly roomies willing to go on walking/driving adventures to the beach or hiking through reserve parklands would be wonderful. But I’m also considerate of personal space and quiet time and like my own from time to time. i have a very clean indoor/outdoor cat. gypsy, she's a beautiful ginger kitty, v. small. she kinda hates everyone (not mad just very very shy). so won't be all up in your business. spends most of her time asleep in the shade or on my bed at night. If i can give her access outside via a window in my room she's likely to not ever venture into other parts of the house. not a clean freak so I’m not going to lose the plot if you leave a dish out for a day but if things start growing in the sink and fridge that's not cool.
Looking for a flatmate with similar interests and values - I'm interested in health and wellbeing, and not a big partier. With that being said, I do enjoy socialising and having fun. Love trying new things, exploring the area, going on walks, going to markets etc. I am also interested in and trying to live a more low tox and less waste lifestyle. I do spend a lot of my spare time in the kitchen, I enjoy food and cooking, so ideally I'm looking for a place with a kitchen with plenty of benchspace. Also looking for a flatmate that could become a friend, but also understand when we need our own space. I've been doing a share house thing for a while so I'd like to think I'm pretty easy to live with. I'm clean, quiet and happy to let you have your own space.
