Hello, My name's Tyla and I am looking to move back to Newcastle to continue my full time study and part time work! I am a sociable and easy-going person who is always down for a few drinks and a night out, but am respectful of personal space and the need for down time! I enjoy live music, the ocean and a good cup of coffee. I am a friendly and tidy housemate who is willing to help out whenever needed! Hoping to find some like minded individuals in a lively household :)
Hi everyone, I'm Alex, 32yo, originally from France. I'm looking for a cosy and quiet place to start a new chapter of my life in Newcastle. I love cooking, gardening, music... I'm looking for a respectful and friendly housemate :)
ABOUT THE HOUSE The house is located in the heart of Cooks Hill. Free standing with a beautiful back deck and small yard. The house itself has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The second bathroom (which we don't use) is attached to the laundry and we are happy to let you have exclusive use of this if you preferred. Location wise, you will be hard-pressed to find better! Welsh Blacks for your caffeine fix is 150 metres away with the Commonwealth, Oriental and Cricketers Arms hotels all within 500 metres. Aldi is one street over and Marketown a couple of blocks. In the other direction, you have Darby Street and all its offerings while the beach is a comfortable 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive. We absolutely love the location and the lifestyle it brings. On-street parking only which can be tricky at times. But there is usually always parking around the corner on Parry St and in all honesty, with this location, you don't really need to use a car too much outside of a work commute. The house is fully furnished apart from the room. ABOUT THE ROOM The room itself is a decent size. It currently has a double bed in it, but that can be removed if you have your own. There are no built-ins in the room either but nothing a quicksearch or visit to Storage World won't be able to fix. With the double bed in the room at the moment there is still plenty of space and would easily fit a queen size bed with room for a bedside table, clothes storage etc. As mentioned before there are two bathrooms and the second one we don't use so if you wanted your own bathroom, that can be arranged. COST Rent is $240 per week - this includes all bills (water, gas, electricity, unlimited NBN internet, Netflix in the lounge room and the lawn mown as needed). A bond of 2 weeks is also needed. We don't have a cleaner at the moment as we keep the place pretty clean, but happy to discuss getting one if it makes things easier for all. Our preference is for someone looking to stay 3 months but happy to discuss this for the right person.
Hello, my name is Kirra, I am 20 years old and I have just moved down to Newcastle from Townsville, NQ. I have lived on my own for 2 years now and I am very clean, look after myself, I like to stay very active and I am very easy going and social. I have a beautiful little cat named Bailey, she is very well behaved, makes little to no mess (only her hair) and is very good with other animals, especially dogs.
I'm a nature girl: a vegetarian environmental scientist who loves bushwalking, kayaking and gardening. I'm neat and quiet, but I'm looking for a place that has a bit of community - like the occasional house-dinner. If you have pets I will definitely play with them. I don't drink or smoke, and I'm not much of a party animal.
Matt 28yo Male plus Henry 3yo Australian Shepherd, Looking for like minded pet friendly.. Work full time as an uber driver at present so hours vary, I'm quiet and keep to myself but I'm also open to having games nights or a few quiet beers and a BBQ with the housemates :) Henry is house trained (outside dog though) and well behaved, We have been on our own since the start of the year so we are just looking to rebuild our life :)
I’m fun, social, don’t like conflict, can cook amazing food :)), love in nights with movies and snacks, will talk your ear off about conspiracy theories (to an extent) ;)), if you have animals I will most likely become emotionally attached to them (sorry in advance) ;)), tidy and very organised, and an all round good person :)).

Hi! My name is Sarah, I am a property manager and I do some part time baristaing on the side. When I'm not back and forth between my jobs, I am studying full time online. My 18 month old rescue pupper Harlow and I are looking for an awesome flat mate to share a house with in any of the Newcastle areas. We are tidy and easy to get along with. Harlow is a little timid at first but she quickly warms up to everyone and loves a cuddle on the lounge and exploring outdoors. I am currently in a share house however the owners are selling and we have to move with little notice. The most important thing for us is to have someone who likes dogs and is easy going. I have a good rental history and we are very respectful of your space and only require the same from you, however we are also very happy to hang out, share a drink, stories or watch a movie!
My name is Claudia and I’m looking to find a new nest with my partner Zac, I work in Port Stephens and Study in Sydney, We are very social and enjoy live music on weekends. Zac is a fun loving music businessman that works part time and loves cooking and playing music. We’re both in our early 20s and looking forward to sharing a home with lovely humans.
I love making art, going to the beach and spending time at local gigs, art exhibitions and jazz bars (I also love living as sustainably as possible). I am currently at UON - and have spent a large amount of time in the beautiful city of Newcastle over the years, I just think that now may be the time to properly move in! I'm a very hard working human and find cleanliness very important, message me for a tea/coffee! I'd probably love to check out the place!
Greetings! I am a friendly and sociable guy with a laid back attitude. I enjoy the beach, hockey, paintball and going out and meeting new people. I'm very clean and respectful of others property. I was living in Newcastle for four years back in 2012. I am currently working but in the process of moving back down to Newcastle for work.
Lovely 3 bedroom home located in Cooks Hill just off Darby Street. 5 minute walk down to the cafes and restaurants, or 5 minutes in the opposite direction and you hit Bar Beach. Nearby access to public transport and an easy walk to Marketown shops, The Junction, and Newspace. The room is unfurnished but has built-in shelving available for storage. There is room for a queen bed and a couple of other items of furniture. The rest of the house is furnished. Unfortunately no pets are allowed on the property. Smoking is not permitted inside the house. We recently got NBN access which is $20 a month each. All other bills are split evenly.

Hi I'm an easy going, young at heart 50 year old. I'm a teacher, massage therapist and children's wellness coach. I moved to Newcastle just over a year ago and I would love to live as close as possible to the beach. I've owned my own properties before renting for the last couple of years. I am respectful and treat properties like they're my own. I am social but also a very private and ideally I would love my own space and bathroom and have my own furniture. I'm also open to sharing with 1 other as well. I do have a well behaved dog (cavoodle) that's super friendly and makes a great companiaon.
Hi, everyone! My name is Natã and I'm a soon-to-be PhD student at University of Newcastle. I'm from Brazil, and as all Brazilians, I'm very friendly, love to talk and have a monkey as Pet - one of these three is a lie ;). I'm looking for someplace where I can call it home, not just a house; it will be my home away from home. As I love teaching, I would gladly help you with Calculus, Physics and other classes. I love movies and going to the cinema/theater as well as cooking (especially something sweet). =D I'm tidy, quiet when need to be (but always down for some talking) and respectful. Plus, I am Brazilian and can teach you how to samba or play football (just kidding, I'm terrible at those). I don't have Pets (but love animals, so, if you have one, it's not a problem). If you are interested, just message me! Have a great, sunny day.
Hello! I'm a 25 year old female PhD student at the University of Newcastle, working at HMRI/John Hunter Hospital. I love to cook and appreciate cleanliness. I'm currently living at home and looking to move out. Ideally, it would be in a house of people with whom i could be friends. I will be in Newcastle for the foreseeable future so longer term stays would be preferable. I have a scholarship until march 2019 so reasonable rent isn't an issue. I'm looking to spend $200pw (including bills and internet) absolute maximum and preferably with a private bathroom but not a necessity. I have a car so somewhere to park would also be ideal. I'm not a party person, a chill night with wine, cheese and netflix suits me fine and I'm happy to keep to myself. I'm a feminist and environmentally conscious so I would prefer to live with similarlly minded people. If I sound like someone you might want to rent a room to (or you have a property in which I could live), please message me!
Hi, I'm Hugh - I've just finished an engineering degree in Sydney and am about to start a new job near Newcastle with a veterinary pharmaceutical company. Far from being a big pharma sellout, I like to think that my job will be helping to cure sick puppies and kittens, so that's the (mostly true!) story that I've been using. I've been renting share houses since I started uni, thought about saving for my own place but realised I like avocado on toast way too much. On the plus side, I know the basics of how to adult and survive communal living. I'm capable in the kitchen and like to cook for people so think I would really get along in a household which appreciates nice food. I'm also a keen salsa dancer who has been taking lessons for about six months, and terrible at surfing but always looking to get better. For now, I'm just looking for a place to stay for a couple of months until I find my feet in a new city, but definitely open to staying longer if I find the right place. If you think that we'd get along, send me a message or give me a call!
