    Anja

    $350/week27 year old woman

Hi there! I’m Anja (she/her), a lung researcher from Austria and will be spending 10 months in Perth for a research stay. I’m currently looking for a friendly and fun place to live near The Kids Research Institute – ideally not just a flat, but a little home with nice people around me. Besides working in science, I’m very open-minded, sporty and curious. I love running, hiking and can’t wait to finally learn how to surf properly while I’m in Perth! I’m always up for a coffee, a drink, or a deep chat. I’m tidy and enjoy cleaning (truly!), and I’m passionate about food and cooking – my current flatmate says I’m a fantastic chef and I’d be more than happy to cook for or with my housemates. Sharing food is one of my favorite ways to connect. I’m also very emotional and sensitive (the good kind – I’m a crier in movies and I care a lot), and I would describe myself as empathetic, extroverted, and full of energy. I enjoy reading, dancing (even if I’m a beginner), going shopping, and trying out new things – especially together. Even though I’m looking forward to the adventure, I don’t know anyone in Australia yet, so it would mean a lot to me to live in a place where people are kind – ideally, I’d love to become friends with my housemates. I’m doing a PhD and will be working a lot, so I also really value calm and focus, and I promise I won’t get on anyone’s nerves! That said, I’m easy-going and independent too, and always open to feedback or honest conversations if something ever comes up. Respect and warmth are really important to me. Also: I’m a non-smoker, totally fine with pets, and I’m definitely not into anti-feminists, Trump fans or toxic vibes 😅 I feel more aligned with progressive, open-hearted people – ideally the kind who love food, laughs, sports and occasional chaos around the dinner table. Something within 15–20 minutes of the CBD would be perfect – I‘m flexible with suburbs. I’m looking for a furnished room in a place with air conditioning, a washing machine, and ideally some space in the fridge and freezer – just the basics to feel at home and keep my veggies (and snacks!) fresh. If you think that could fit – I’d love to hear from you! Best, Anja

    Clióna

    $300/week25 year old woman

Hi! I’m Clióna 👋🏼 I’m 25, originally from the West of Ireland 🇮🇪, but I’ve been lucky to call Perth home since June 2024. I work full-time in the CBD (Mon–Fri, 8–5) and usually WFH once or twice a week 💻. I also pick up the occasional weekend shift at a pub (perk: 20% off at some of Perth’s busiest bars 👀), so life definitely keeps me on my toes which makes having a calm, cosy home to unwind in all the more important 🧘🏼‍♀️✨ As I’ll be sponsored by my employer in September, I’m looking for a long-term, stable home, not just a stopgap. Ideally somewhere relaxed and friendly, where we can respect each other’s space. After a long day at work, I can be a bit of a hermit, but I do enjoy a good chat, sharing a glass of wine, or a spontaneous kitchen catch-up now and then 🍷💬 You’ll usually find me beachside, swimming or sauna-ing at Hillarys, at a gig, or out for a bite. I love staying busy and social. I’m lucky to have friends and family here in Perth, and really enjoy spending time with my nephews, Timezone has cost me a small fortune since I moved! I’m ideally looking for a home with: 💫 No more than 2–3 people total (including me) 🧍‍♀️Preferably people around my age 🚙 Parking 💸 Budget: $300/week for shared accommodation, but I’m flexible for the right vibe or a self-contained place. If this sounds like it could suit your place or you'd just like to connect, feel free to reach out! Would love to find a spot that feels like home 🏡💛
