Hi, I'm currently looking for somewhere to spend the next year of my visa in Melbourne, from as soon as possible really. Just a little about myself, I'm a 29 year old cinematographer/writer from the UK. In May this year I finished a charity walk from the UK to Australia and so have been on the road for the last 5 years, looking forward to having a place to call home for a while. I'm currently working on a book and documentary about the entire journey with local sponsors, so I'll be juggling that and a job. Please do let me know if you're still looking for someone, look forward to maybe hearing from you
House trained, approachable and easy-going. I work full-time and like to stay active. Originally from the country, I've lived out of home for a while now and am a respectful roommate, very clean and tidy, and I'm always open to a chat or to do something! looking for a home, to stay a minimum of 6 months.
I've just recently arrived here from New Zealand, and plan on being here long term. I work as a software engineer in Richmond, so a place nearby would be ideal. I'm looking for a chill place to live, where my flatmates actually hang out with each other, rather than just doing their own thing. I'm not just looking for a place to sleep, but a place to live. I really enjoy cooking, and especially BBQing, so a BBQ is a big plus. I enjoy spending time outdoors, I don't like being cooped up for too long inside. I enjoy bushwalking and pretty much any outdoor activities.
My name is Cian. I'm a 24 year old Irish male. I'm looking for a 2 month lease until I leave Australia at the very end of January. I enjoy playing football, a run and going to the gym. It's always more fun with a person or group. I'm extremely easy going. It takes quite a bit to get me annoyed. I'm organised, tidy and responsible. I'm also the worlds greatest dancer.
Fantastic location. 5 minute walk from Richmond Train Station. Walking distance to MCG and AAMI Park. Right in the heart of Swan St, Richmond. 3 level townhouse. Plenty of space. 3 bedrooms. Huge living room area and kitchen. Balcony on 2nd floor with outdoor couches and private rooftop area on 3rd level. Your room has BIR. You technically have an ensuite but it is shared with 1 housemate. Super fast cable internet, big screen TV and much more...
Recently relocated from Sydney to Melbourne (used to live here years ago). I'm a creative type, I work as a storyboard artist and production designer for films and television. Originally from Ukraine, grew up in Canada, been here for 8 years (I'm pretty much stralian mate). Looking for some chilled out folk who enjoy a good whiskey and movies, as well as getting out and finding cool little dives. I'm very clean, I keep to myself (if I'm working) but will be very sociable too. I love pets and have no issues with smokers :) Looking for 4 months rent minimum with the possibility of staying longer (if my film work doesn't drag me to some far off land).
New to Melbourne originally from Sydney. I’m responsible, social, clean and easy going. I work in sales Monday - Friday and love to keep fit and socialise in my spare time. Love to travel and Enjoy almost every sport. Looking for a short term flat mate and who knows if all goes well possibly long term.
Heya! I am a 20-year-old student from Auckland, New Zealand. I'll be in Melbourne for 6 months from the 28th of Jan doing an exchange for a semester at Monash (Clayton). Looking for a fun group of people to flat with for a semester. For most of my degree, I've had to be academic focussed but while over in Melbourne I really want to enjoy the social life and let loose on the weekends and explore the new city (love a good wine and a dance!). I love going on road trips, heading to see live music, and soaking up the sun. I consider myself clean, respectful and easy to live with :)
I've just finished studying and am starting off in a full-time in consulting job next year. I'm looking for a nice, clean house in a conveniant location with responsible and fun adults to live with. I love cooking, baking, playing hockey, yoga, triathlons, reading and checking out the latest cafe or restaurant nearby. I have a little sister and a strong sense of family. I'm looking for housemates that will match my grounded and well-rounded way of living!
I am tidy as f.. on the other side don't worry I'm not gonna be your mother :D I'm easy going outgoing and I love to meet new people.. I've been away from home for now 31 months and I'm still hungry for new adventures.. beer is my favorite beverage .. fitness a lifestyle and sports are what I'm going for in leisure.. hey wanna go watch the formula 1 in march?! I gotta go and I will!! Hot me up cheers
Hi! My name's Sam and I'm looking for a new place to call home. I’m a 29 year-old male working in tech support and studying physics at RMIT (not to be confused with psychics… I cannot tell the future, sorry in advance). I keep pretty busy during the week, but love to come home to hang out, share a meal (pumpkin pesto pasta is my specialty), have a few drinks, listen to some music or binge watch a TV series or two (currently obsessed with Stranger Things). I also apologise in advance for getting too emotionally invested in the footy. I’m really considerate and clean, especially of all the shared spaces in the house. I’ve lived in share houses before, so I’m pretty comfortable with all the unwritten rules of housemate life. Ideally, I’m looking at anything from $500-760 p/month. Location wise, inner city is good but mostly it’s about finding great housemates who can become great friends. If you’ve got a spare room, or know someone who does, get in touch. Cheers Sam
Hi, I'm Alex. I am currently completing a Master of Architecture degree at The University of Melbourne, with one semester to go (Semester 1 2018). I also work part-time at the uni as a digital fabrication technician. Being the last part of my degree, I do tend to spend a fair amount of my week there. I am a super tidy and organised individual and enjoy keeping the place looking trendy, so It'd be great to find like-minded people to live with. I'll get along with pretty much anyone though, and overall just looking for a chilled out place to live with people who enjoy a good coffee in the morning and a cold beer in the arvo!
We are a couple ( jack, 23 year old kiwi, and sara, 25 year old swedish/american ) who have been living in Melbourne since march and love it. However we're now on the hunt for a slightly bigger room a bit closer to work. I work in marketing just outside of the city and sara is currently working in a cafe and looking for an engineering role, so both fairly busy monday to friday. Both well housetrained, used to living in houseshares, and enjoy having a chat in the evenings or chilling infront of the tv, and activites and a few drinks on the weekend!
Hey! I’m Vicky, 24 years old and originally from the UK. I work in marketing and have just moved to Melbourne for the year searching for a new adventure. I’m looking for a room in a social but still chilled house/ flat share, short term at first but potentially longer! I love yoga and the gym, exploring this amazing city, and sharing a few drinks or a Netflix binge with friends.
I am currently studying science at monash uni and working part time. In my spare time I love baking (huge sweet tooth) , wine n cheese and watching far too much tv.
I'm Will, I'm from the UK and before I came to Australia I was a furniture salesman. But like many people I was bored of my job and didn't want to spend this part of my life wasted in one place so I decided to pack up and start again. I'm looking for a place to stay in Melbourne as I'm really liking this city's wonderful weather, culture, variety of food and abundance of wifi. And hopefully make a few friends while I'm here =). I'm looking for a private room (with ideally a double/ queen size bed but it's not essential) as I do prefer a bit of personal sleeping space/ somewhere to relax by myself but will happily socialise with and spend time to get to know any future house/ flatmates and don't mind how many people are in the property (the more the merrier =D). I can move in (to the right place) as soon as you need. I think of myself as a pretty chill guy with an excellent sense of humour and a terrible attention span. I enjoy binge watching good TV, Netflix and Youtube videos (massive Game of Thrones fan of course XD), listening to good music, dank memes, socialising with friends i.e drinking, gaming (played a lot of League of Legends before I left... poorly I might add) and going out for meals, films etc. I used to do a lot of running and football and hopefully will get back into it soon, as my old job fattened me up a bit and I'm definitely in need of the exercise =P.
Hi! My partner and I are looking for a nice space to move too, we both work in hospitality as a venue manager and head chef, I'm sponsored and he is on a WHV. We are social but respectful, with stressful jobs we want somewhere too relax, cook and enjoy, so not a party house. Felixable on move in date more searching for the perfect place. Let me know if you have any questions and we look forward to hearing from you!
I’ve got a pretty positive, high energy outlook on life, enjoy hanging out and getting to know people, but I can read a room and respect people’s space as well. Keep a regular schedule, working 9-5 in town. Like to go out chatting, dancing, dining, lazing about on the weekends. Always pay rent and bills on time! Got lots of music, books, magazines, films, TV shows etc. to share and have a habit of setting up a nice space for myself and adding the little things which make a house a home.
Currently studying and working and love being sociable with my flatmates but of course respect their alone time as I like a bit of it myself. I love cooking and have been deprived of a decent oven at my last residence and would love to be able to finally return to my full cooking potential. I absolutely love dogs, a Harry Potter nerd and the love beach as I grew up in a seaside town in Queensland. I'm a moderate gym goer but far from a junkie and love exploring quirky cafes. I like to keep a relatively clean house and like doing my dishes.
Heyo! I'm working full time in the city and am looking for a room in a shared house/flat. I've lived in share houses for the past 4 years so quite used to respecting others space + paying rent on time. Looking to live with people I can call friends rather than living with hermits. I love to spend my weekends outside as much as possible hangin with pals or drinking a nice cold bev. Looking to move immediately! My budget is max $220/week not including bills and needs to be close to public transport as I don't have a vehicle. I'm interested in starting a share house as well.
Hi, We are an easy going couple looking for a new place to call home. We live in carlton at the moment and we love the area as well as the surrounding suburbs. We both work and keep ourselves busy during weeks. Liam is a friendly English carpenter working Monday to Saturday from 7am to 4-5pm. I'm from Chile and I'm a full time interior designer student at Melbourne Polytechnic. We are not party people but we enjoy nice food, cooking and having friends for dinner, movies , travel and concerts. We also like to discover new secret rooftop bars and restaurants around Melbourne. We like to chill most nights but we are more than happy to share a beer or a glass of vino after a long day. We both come with Netflix and stan memberships as well as some furniture. We have experience living in sharing houses, we are very clean, tidy and respectful. We’re also looking for a long term stay (6 months min) Get in contact if you think we would be a good fit in your house. Feel free to write us if you have any questions. Would be nice to come round and say hello. Cheers Liam and Val
I've been share housing for several years now, and know how to be a considerate housemate. I'm respectful of others space and privacy, but also keen for a chat over a glass of wine from time to time. Clean and tidy, but not uptight about it. Flexible move date. I work fulltime in the CBD -8:30 to 5:00, gym a few nights a week, and keep pretty low key during the week. Come the weekend I enjoy getting out of the house, and exploring all Melbourne has to offer- Museums/galleries, markets, outdoors, dinner & drinks, festivals, movies/theatre, the list goes on. Party days are over, but still manage a night out every once in a while. Looking for a home, not just a place to keep my things. I get along well with people who share similar interest, people who are open and honest, and those who don't take themselves too seriously. I like living in a relaxed at home. Open to sharing a meal when suits, but flexible with life's other commitments. I come with my adorable French Bulldog, who will never turn down a belly rub. He stays outside during the day (he sleeps for most of it!), then inside when I get home. It's hard not to love his quirks, but being a dog person is must.
Hi, I'm Jake from Charlotte, North Carolina, USA and I am on a working holiday visa. I've been traveling since August 2016 and have been in Australia since March 2017. I've traveled most of western Europe, Morocco, Israel, and Vietnam prior to coming to Australia. I've lived in Sydney and the Gold Coast and have now moved to Melbourne to spend the entire summer. I am looking for a lease at least until March 1, and maybe longer, as I am trying to stay in Australia permanently via a sponsorship or a work visa, and Melbourne already seems like a great place. I am a great roommate to have as I am clean, considerate, and respectful. I am social and active, and I will have a full time job while here in Melbourne. I enjoy working out at the gym, playing soccer, riding bicycle around Melbourne (yet to be purchased), THE BEACH, movies (of course), with the occasional night out on the weekend. I'm also a pretty good cook. I worked for Lion Nathan (XXXX/Tooheys) in Sydney for 4 months, and then got a more casual job at The Coffee Club in Gold Coast. Here in Melbourne, I will likely do construction work of some sort or work an office job. I am looking for jobs now, but I can ensure that I have no money issues as I worked for a large mortgage bank for many years back in North Carolina. Thanks and I look forward to meeting you.
