We're a couple in our mid twenties from Sydney (one postgraduate student and one full-time engineer) and another postgrad student. We have a few small, friendly cats and two dogs (would definitely suit an animal lover!). We have one large room available in our newly renovated terrace ($360/week). The listing is for one person only - sorry, no sharing. THE HOUSE: Recently renovated 3 storey terrace in a quiet street in Darlington. It has 3 bedrooms, open plan living area, dining room, large kitchen with modern appliances, conservatory and leafy front courtyard. One main bathroom upstairs and an additional smaller downstairs bathroom with internal laundry. Thorough security system in place. Bedrooms are lockable and fully furnished, however you're welcome to supply your own bedroom furniture if you'd prefer. On-street parking permit may be available for one car, you'd need to arrange this with the council. Easy access via train/bus/walk to the CBD, Central, Chinatown, Newtown, Glebe, Broadway, Surry Hills. About a 2 minute walk to Sydney Uni, 5 min walk to UTS, 2 minute walk to Redfern Station - overall a pretty convenient spot, lots of cafes/bars/restaurants/pubs nearby. THE BEDROOM: For $360 per week. Large light-filled, loft-style bedroom on 3rd storey with lockable door. Large low-height built in cabinet, carpeted floors, air conditioning, furnishing includes bed, desk with chair, clothes storage, large mirror, plus bedding and sheets. Unlimited wifi internet included in rent - electricity/utility bills shared between housemates. Bond is 3 weeks rent, 2 weeks in advance. Smoking outdoors only. Looking for an easygoing, friendly person who's happy to clean up after themselves in common areas/help out keeping it clean. We are looking for someone who likes to socialise and is happy to do their own thing as well. International students welcome, we're happy to assist with conversational English. Not a party house - smaller social gatherings are okay if agreed on in advance. Long term (6 month +) stays preferred. Single (non-sharing) tenant only please. Although we love animals, we already have quite a few pets so unfortunately won't be able to house more. If you're interested in joining us, give me a call/message/email to discuss - we can arrange a meeting and show you around!
Beautiful terrace right opposite Carriageworks and close to its markets every Saturday, short walk to Newtown King St and Redfern station. We have lots of space in the common area with living room and dining room and enjoy a bit of gardening in our little back yard. You'll be sharing with a renewable energy engineer and a dentist, one born in Europe the other in South America but we're a pretty Aussie household I guess. We like sharing a glass of wine over dinner or a relaxed evening in the backyard in summer. Come have a look!
Hey, I'm Matt. I work in TV as an editor. I love getting to the beach, going to gigs, meeting up with mates for a few drinks in the park or one of the many fine establishments the inner west has to offer, the occasional art/cultural events, and the odd festival if life permits, and of course Netflix and music :) I also like to chill at home and escape the outside world. I love a good chat about anything and nothing. I'm pretty laid back and independent. I like to get to know the people I live with and I do love the occasional cook up and cheeky glass of something something with the housemates. I'm tidy and respectful of other housemates and shared spaces. I'm fairly socially active, but do my partying outside of the home, I like home to a sanctuary from the outside world - but I'm not adverse to the occasional impromptu gatherings or house parties if we are feeling it! I'm looking for a friendly fun home to share with other cool humans! I'm technically 36 years old, but I don't think I've ever mentally moved on from 29... ;) My move in dates can be very flexible, I could move tomorrow if need be or in a few weeks time. I'm looking for long term accommodation preferably at least 6 months, though I'd rather 1 year plus.
Hi, I’m Isabella. I’m 23 years old and have just finished my law degree in Melbourne and gotten a job at a firm in Sydney, so I’m looking to move to Sydney asap. I’ve lived in share houses for around 5 years now and I’m a fairly neat and tidy person. I’d love to find a house where I can be friends with those I’m living with. I’m a really social person and love going out for to eat and drink but definitely appreciate a night in watching netflix too.
Hi ! We are Maud (23 yo) and Adrien (25 yo), and we are a French couple. We worked both in digital communication. Maud was web editor and Adrien was web project manager. Adrien loves cook, dogs and watch series. Maud loves discover new landscapes, photography and share good moments. We arrived two weeks ago in Melbourne and now we want to discover Sydney 🎉😊 We would like to find a house share in Sydney or Newtown or others cities around Sydney for now until February. We have a budget of $400 per week (with bills included). We both find a job in Sydney as kitchen hand in different restaurant. We would love to hear from you. Maud and Adrien
Hi , I'm Daniel from Brazil , 32 years old and single. I'm a very easy going pearson , very calm and quiet . I 'm into many sports especialy bodyboarding and swimming , i can also say that i really like the beach and the occasional drink.
Tom and Diana are looking for a room for two in a share home. We like living with each other, but we like living with other people more. Tom is an artist/designer and works at Dino Designs full time in Redfern. Diana is a doctor over on the north shore but is too scared to move over the bridge. We are both from Queensland but Di has been living in Sydney for over 5 years in Newtown/Erskineville. We have been living together for 1 year no dramas and are only leaving our old place because it was a touch too small and too far from work. Some people are wary of couples in share houses but we hope we’re not that vibe… We are both from big families and like socialising with everyone in the house (not just each other!) chatting, cooking, eating etc. We are clean and tidy and don’t hog the shower! Please get in touch for a 2 for 1 deal!
Well priced room in great location! Close to Sydney Uni, Newtown, Carriageworks, Redfern Station & Broadway! Extra large room - easily fit a large bed and furniture pieces. Two storey terrace house. Big yard (needs some grooming), old but usable kitchen, one main bathroom and a second laundry/bathroom. House is very chilled, bills split four ways - internet $20 a month. Rent is currently $260 - which is very good for the area. Bond is $650. Some furniture can be bought if you would like. Move in 3rd Dec.
I'm Philip, easy going, softspoken, and a USYD student currently working part-time in CBD. I'm looking for a place(private room) that will have me between 1st of Dec and preferably until the 20/21st of January(negotiable). I will be in the house depending on my part-time hrs and would love being involved in some socials or activities. In terms of tidiness, I value keeping communal spaces clean, and will definitely adhere to a cleaning schedule. However, the state of my room will often reflect how hectic my life is at any given moment but not to worry - to say the least, I'm partial OCD at times. I love dogs and like cats, and in that order. I also like my drink at the end of the day, occasionally smoke and love going out. Let me know if I sound like a fit, and then we can go from there here or at Four Two Three Zero Six Eight One Nine Zero. Philip
Hi guys, I'm looking for a long term place, preferably to set up a new house with another / others. Definitely want to create a comfortable home with likeminded people, not a budget / party house / anonymous sort of arrangement. I'm an easy going guy working in the restaurant and wine industries. I work business-ish hours and am pretty busy during the week but always keen to share a home-cooked meal / drink when I can Monday to Friday. Enjoy being social on weekends and would like the sort of place where everyone feels comfortable to have friends around but also respect housemates when they do. I already have quite a bit of good furniture and most appliances / kitchenware so we wouldn't have to set up the place from scratch. Ideally thinking of a three bedroom terrace in the inner west but am completely flexible to go bigger, smaller or an apartment if I find the right person or people
My name is Jan and I am in sydney to get my CAE certificate. I also have to work during my stay but on the weekends i am up to go out. I used to share a flat for one year with two friends and i like to have people around me.
*** Move date between 19 December and 3 January *** Hi I'm Anita. I am currently in Paddington, Brisbane. I have been offered a full time position with a well known construction company in Sydney, hence the move. I will need to move to Sydney at the start of next year preferably before the 3rd of January. About me At home I'm neat and tidy but I'm not affected by other peoples preferences. I like to cook as much as I can and try to get to yoga a few times a week. When I get home from work I like to relax, listen to some music, watch some Netflix, go for a walk or skateboard, and I like a beer after work. On the weekends I like to be out and about, get social.. but sometimes I get the home bug. My sister would be an expected visitor for the weekend every now and then as she lives in Canberra and I would be her closest family. We're very friendly and I have no doubt you'll like her. I'm also hoping my best friend from the Gold Coast will visit when she can too. I like the lifestyle I have here in Paddington so I'm hoping to land in a similar area in Sydney. I like being able to walk to a cafe or walk to pilates. Really looking for something special as home is important to me. Housemates: I am hoping to have friends at home, like minded people who are chill and easy going. I would prefer more mature housemates as the party house vibe isn't for me. I would like people who are employed and financially stable. I'm a very accepting person and like meeting different people. Flick me a message if you have an offer. Thanks Anita
I'm a full time postgrad student at University of Sydney, and it's my last semester, so i'm looking for a place for around 5 months from Feb. I'm clean, quiet and sociable. I don't cook , i'm usually out on the weekends, and i have evening classes on weekdays. I love animals, so pets are no problem at all.
I will travel to HongKong on Monday and so I wanna sublet my room for these time. (from 27nov to 15Jan) It's a great apartment with one or no roommate. It's really good located, close to USyd and UTS And u can use the Gym for free as well. It's a shared room probably with no roommate, so I am also just looking for a credible person. If u are interested, let me know u must be a student
Hi there! I'm a very sociable person who's looking to live with housemates that enjoy spending time together. At the same time, I have a lot to do in terms of studying and my music career, which will involve a lot of in-room writing and producing. I love to cook healthy meals, and have about 10 fruit-bearing plants to bring along with me. I like to stay active and adventurous, and am neat, focused and driven. I've travelled a load, living in London for two years. Looking for a place with character, modern is definitely not a necessity! Hope to meet ya'll soon :) Rhi

We're neat and tidy and love to cook! Love spending time at the beach and movie nights. Looking forward meeting potential flatnates and living and working in Sydney! Victoria and Dc (:

Hi, we are two students from France. We are looking for a place to share in Sydney! We are friendly, easy-going, tidy and respectful! We would like to meet other people and socialize, but we also respect each other's privacy. Don't hesitate to message us, we don't bite ;)
I am a young boy from Venezuela, I enjoy spending my time trying a different kind of food around Sydney and I also like cooking typical food that I used to eat in my country. I am quiet, very respectful and sociable.
Aloha! My name is Jessica and I'm moving from Maui to Sydney in 2018 for a Masters degree in Marine Sciences and Development. I am a scuba instructor and marine naturalist. I am outgoing and adventurous, studious and tidy! I love cooking and a good movie night, although I usually use my flat as a retreat to relax after long days out and about. Not a smoker or a partier, no children or pets. Looking for an inexpensive and comfortable place to live while I study up!
~Looking for an apartment to stay 2 nights a week in~ I am a 28yo female, very easy going. Prefer being out and about, exercising or having dinners with friends. I play semi-professionally in an orchestra but for my day job I work in the Sydney CBD and soon to also work in the Brisbane CBD. I am moving to Brisbane to reunite with my partner and will be now working from both my Sydney and Brisbane office. As I will only be in Sydney for 2 nights a week (midweek) I am looking to stay somewhere at a cheaper rate and as a result make the rent cheaper for an existing household without the burden of an extra full time housemate. I would only be at the apartment for two evenings and two mornings. I often even shower and eat b'fast in the office after riding or running in. I physically won't be around enough to contribute to upkeep of the apartment, however I am very neat and always clean up after myself. I like a laugh and a beer with housemates however I am generally out and about with work/orchestra/sport/social commitments. Looking for a tidy, friendly household with a secure bedroom to myself for 2 nights a week (+ on five occasions of the calendar year for a weeks time, as I have orchestra concerts and lead up practice in Sydney 5 times a year). Look forward to hearing form you :) Laura
