Looking for someone who wants to help me build my permaculture suburban farm in Darra. There’s a plan taking shape and space, I own the property so there’ll be no landlord deciding on a sudden sale and eviction. The room available is a smaller room but has built-ins and great light, it can be furnished or empty. The house is cosy and simple, the yard is large. I have chooks, a duck, two geese and two cats. The train is 1.7km away. A mob of kangaroos hang out across the street and the area has a lovely village community feel with great neighbours. I’m hoping to find someone who is keen to pitch in and learn as we go. Someone who really wants to create something and continue to build it instead of just rent a room. I’d prefer a non-smoker and the house is vegetarian only. The room would only really be comfortable for one person so no couples, sorry. I intend to throw a bed in the spare room in case we have a friend over for a bbq or something. I'm moving in over the weekend so Internet is not yet on. $200pw will include internet and bills (unless you decide you need to live in an igloo and run aircon all day or something, then we'll have to talk about it. It’s in a very quiet neighbourhood but near the motorway to get to places quickly. As well as 5 minute walk from the train station to were trains run every 10-15 minutes. It’s fully furnished excluding the bedroom, unlimited internet will be available.
I am very quiet and keep to myself most of the time however can be sociable when the time comes. I work full time in the city and i dont drive so wont need car space. I am very polite, neat tidy and help out without being asked. I am a single guy so only require 1 room which most of my belongings can fit into. I have a 2 year old son that I have during the day a couple times a week. And though I don’t have any Pets I can very easily live with them (especially Dogs).
I am a 21 year old professional looking to move to Brisbane’s South Western Suburbs between late November and early January. I have been living in the Sunshine Cost for the past 2 years, prior to that I lived in North Qld. I will be studying at Springfield Tafe 2 nights each week to further my career, beginning late January. I have lived in share housing on and off since I was 18, before that I went to boarding school, so I have learnt how to be respectful of my housemates at all times. I am clean and tidy an mostly keep to myself but I do love a good chat a few drinks every now and then. My maximum rent at this stage is $200 per week including bills but I may be able swing higher once I have secured a full time position and know my pay rate before I move. I am a smoker, however respectful enough to understand most people don’t smoke, I will ALWAYS only smoke outside and ensure the smoke doesn’t bother anyone else. I am open to both furnished and unfurnished rooms, however I will need a room that has space for a desk or a desk that is already provided. Because I am studying, I will also require reliable access to Internet. I am able to provide rent receipts and a written and/ or verbal reference from my current land lord as well as a written reference from my current housemate.

This is a lovely large home with a big loungeroom, and a decent backyard so there is plenty of space to entertain. The room that I sleep in is quite small, with enough room for a queen size bed and a chest of drawers. However, you will also have the 4th room, which is larger, to yourself. I currently use it as a music room and it is ideal as a study/library. There are fans in every bedroom and an aircon in the dining area. You would be sharing the bathroom with my housemate Jane. Amy has the master bedroom and ensuite. The bathroom has a bath and a shower with plenty of cupboard space for toiletries. All of the curtains and carpet were new when we moved in and the house is in good condition. We have a dishwasher and washing machine that also turns into a dryer. The tv in the lounge is a smart tv so you can hook your Netflix and Stan up to it. We have NBN. I pay $20 a month for this The street we live on is quiet and has a number of parks around that we walk our dog to. There is a Woollies nearby (less than 2min drive or 12min walk) with restaurants and good coffee. The Oxley train station is also there and buses are nearby. The real estate are really lovely and always prompt to reply to any questions or issues we have. The house has solar panels so the electricity is really cheap! Usually around $70-100 a quarter. We also have gas for the hot water, which is usually around $100 a quarter also (which means your share is around $60-$80 every three months for both). Water is also around $20 each a quarter.
With the heat that has come on the house has ducted cooling and heating. And if you want you can go swimming in the pool. We are an Executive Chef, a Psychotherapist, and a heavy vehicle worker. So we can cook you a meal, deal with your issues and fix your truck. We are all components of the house and we are another jigsaw piece.
