The house is in a great location on a quiet street in Deakin. It is only a 2 minute walk to the Deakin shops 7 minutes to Woden and only 10 minutes to the city (15mins during peak time). There is a bus stop towards Woden and the City at the end of the street. The house is reasonably modern, and the kitchen has a small dishwasher. There are 3 bedrooms for 4 people (1 couple) and 1 bathroom/toilet. The house is already furnished, but potentially has room for additional furnitre. The available bedroom is a reasonable size at the front of the house. The available room does not have any built-in cupboards.
Hi, I'm in search of a new place as my lease is ending mid-September. I'd like to move closer to Southside for my work. I am a young professional with the Public Service. I'm seeking a homely vibe! I'm easy going, clean, respect personal space and for the most part, a quiet housemate. I do love to have a friendly chat over tea with my housemates and eat a meal together every so often. I'm past my clubbing days and prefer daytime social activities over late nights. In my downtime I enjoy getting outdoors (hiking, bike riding, swimming), dancing or doing some painting. If it sounds like we could be a good fit, send me a message :)
Sustaining the cliche I'll be moving to Canberra (from Queensland) in January 2020 for a graduate role in the APS. I'm a law grad with a pretty dry sense of humour, I clean up after myself, am pretty easy going and generally do my own thing, though am happy to socialise if (and when) it suits other housemates. I enjoy getting out and exploring, riding my bike, learning/trying new things and reading. I'm also keen to meet other people, as I don't know anyone in Canberra. As far as a place is concerned, preferably looking for an apartment/townhouse in South Canberra within walking distance to Parliament House (and surrounding Departments) on a 12 month lease, with one or two other house mates. I'm somewhat flexible about location and the start date, which could be a bit earlier or later (into January). If it sounds like we might be a good fit, feel free to message me.
I am a 25 year old lawyer from Melbourne, commencing a position with the public service. I enjoy bouldering, hiking and being active. I also love good food, cooking, reading and animals. So if you have a dog that is a plus. I am clean, considerate and happy to get together for dinners, movies or board games. I also like to try new things. I will likely head down to Melbourne every three to four weekends.
Not looking for a place until October Hey guys I'm a youth worker, I have escaped Canberra for the winter but will be looking for a place to live when I return. I am at that age where I still wana be social but also enjoy my own space/ alone time. I am a bit of a neat freak not guna lie! I like a clean non cluttered house with lots of plants! I'm vegetarian, prefer to live with other vegetarians/vegans. Love music and drinking tea ( I come with a large tea collection!) Racists and homophobes need not apply. I'm an open book so ask anything : )
Hi there! I'm Venus, a Canadian looking for a place in Canberra as I'm here for a working holiday for six months. I have a background in communications, and a deep love for The Office (US version). I'm easy-going, friendly and like to keep things clean. I enjoy connecting with people, but also being mindful of others' spaces. Looking for: - likeminded, organized, easy-going roommate(s) - a furnished room - preferably my own bathroom, but not necessary - looking for someone who isn't afraid to remove spiders In my spare time, I enjoy reading, museums, exploring hiking trails, experimenting with recipes, and watching Netflix, quietly, in my room :)
I'm a full time veterinarian. Moved to Canberra last year, enjoying the outdoors lifestyle, looking after Canberra's critters, and sipping the occasional fancy coffee at the various cafes. Working regular hours Mon-Fri, occasional Saturdays. Outside of work very active and into my snowsports, rockclimbing, running, mountain biking, and whichever else I get time for. Very social and easygoing person, enjoy a fun, respectable and clean household. Ideally looking for housemates with similar interests, that enjoy the outdoors, socialising and the odd communal dinner/drinks Myself and current housemate are about to move out of our apartment and into a house/townhouse. Ideally we would like to team up with 1-2 others, make sure we get along, and find a big place together. Feel free to send a message and get in touch
From next month I will split my time between Melbourne (where my partner lives) and Canberra. I will be in Canberra approximately 4 nights a fortnight (Mon-Fri every second week) and I am looking for a room in a quiet, professional house - ideally within walking distance of the Parliamentary triangle - where I could stay every second week. I'm a lawyer and I hold a senior position in the federal public service. I'm a clean, respectful and friendly person. My interests are spending time with friends and family, travel, history, politics, languages, reading and spending time outside (e.g. walking and at the beach).
Hey there.. am from Srilanka.. am a new employee in town and looking for a place to move in soon.. am just a simple guy.. friendly and easily adapt to new environment.
I have a gov contract til April 2020 and need a Canberra base. Scientist working F/T Mon-Fri. I fly home to Brisbane every 2-3 weeks on weekend to see my partner - kind of FIFO :) I'm quiet and clean lady, non smoker, beer/wine-lover, positive outlook. Looking to share with same. Make my own meals. I read or watch Netflix when home. Share cleaning / gardening. I respect your privacy and like my own and am up for friendly chats. I surf, hike, cycle and do outdoorsy adventures. Need a place for my car and bicycle. Love pets, but sadly allergic to cats.
