Am an easy-going, fairly quiet, professional guy. Recently relocated from Sydney to start a new role in Canberra. Looking for a furnished room for 4-6 months. I am tidy, respectful, considerate and personable.
My name is Latifa. I have a full time job working in the Defense sector and need a place to share for min 6-9 months. I am clean, tidy and quiet and respectful of others. Non smoker. I like to cook and tend to eat at home on weeknights. Happy to share house hold chores to keep the place tidy. I own property in Perth and my family lives in Perth. I am relocating to Canberra 2nd week of May. Looking for a room to share where parking is a possibility (Okay with off-street parking, as long as there is no time limit on parking) and with easy access to public transport to Russell Offices. I have temporary accommodation sorted, so looking for a share house with long term potential. Happy to provide character references from colleagues and friends in Perth as well as a work colleague from Canberra.
Hey there We're Ellie and Lachlan :) Young couple looking for a room either in a sharehouse or by ourselves. We're both friendly, good fun and responsible upstanding full time public servants. Ellie loves her netflix and cacao nibs while Lachlan loves cycling and dominos $5 pizzas. Collectively we don't have much furniture so furnished or unfurnished is OK. Get in touch if you like the sound of us! Ellie & Lachlan
I am a 37 year old professional. I am neat, tidy and peaceful. I am used to living with housemates and being flexible and accommodating. I am happy to provide references of past landlords.
Fun, active, lover of (red) wine, good food and yoga. I am a full time lawyer getting a 6 month rotation with my firm in the Canberra office. Would love to find a nice space and good people to live with as my home away from home. In my spare time you'll find me in a boxing or yoga studio, hiking or spending time with my friends. I am very social, but self-sufficient!
Creative. Relaxed and considerate. Love gardens, leafy suburbs and hikes. From Penrith, Sydney relocated to Canberra to work in public service. Outside of work I write stories, play soccer and jam on the guitar
I am a friendly trans girl with varied interests. I am a member of multiple student clubs at both ANU and UC. I am active in the canberra queer and gender diverse community. I enjoy board games, drinking socially, dancing and improv. I clean up after myself and enjoy cooking for myself and others. I have been living in Canberra since 2004 but spent several years in Sydney studying chemical engineering from 2012 (unfortunately I did not complete my degree due to a series of medical crises within the family). I am currently studying at CIT and looking for work.
I am looking for a room. I am a middle aged man who is a full time self-published writer and performer. I spend most of my days writing (plus admin and marketing my books) in cafes. I have been a counsellor, cleaner and public servant. I am 'spiritually' minded, for want of a better word. I have been either house-sitting or renting for a few years after the end of a long relationship. The place I was sold. I have temporary accommodation thanks to a lovely friend. I like to meditate, go out to places like The Front Cafe or Smiths, art openings and other things around town. I have a lot of friends of different ages. I like reading and going into the bush and I can cook well. I cannot drive as I have a genetic eye disorder but my brain seems to compensate a lot; so other than driving I am quite functional. I am pretty clean and tidy. I can pretty much talk about anything and I am quite 'chilled.' Also, I have plenty in my bank account to pay rent with, just not enough to buy; I am also on the visual disability pension Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
Full time Communications/IT/Security guy, and part time long distance uni student, working from home as an advance staff member for my company, before a new office is organised. I'm quiet and independent, but more than happy to socialise when housemates want to. Open minded and accepting of all walks of life. If there's animals, especially a dog or two, I'm a very happy camper. I've lived in 3 share houses in Perth, since 2010, with the same group of people. They were complete strangers to begin with, but have since become very close friends, so I know the ropes of living with other people. Very much a neat and tidy person, especially in shared spaces - no point in creating hassles when it's so easy to keep things clean. Couldn't really care less about smoking (i.e I don't smoke, but don't care if others do), same goes for partying, unless there's a complete consensus with all other housemates. I'm good with a pair of gloves, a spade and watering can. Same goes for power tools, and generally fix most things myself, when the need arises. More than happy to allow the professionals/landlords to do this instead though. If you've got issues with a computers, or even basic motoring/bike stuff, I'm pretty good with that stuff too. Basically a jack of many trades and willing to use these skills. During down time, I love a good bourbon/cider/beer and BBQ, pretty good at marinating a bunch of different types of meat too. Throw some good 90's music, or anything that's been played on Triple J for the last 20 years, and I'm pretty happy. Back in WA, I loved throwing myself and my mountain bike down a trail. I enjoy going to the gym, I'm no crazy junky, but I do enjoy keeping myself fit. I own an X-Trail, that doesn't exactly go overly fast, but get's me out and about into bush land, where camping is very much desired. Drop us a bell, and let me know what's going :)
I am a government IT contractor from Sydney. I don't smoke. I am a quiet and clean person. I won't be available most weekends as I will be traveling to Sydney. I enjoy a glass of wine and good conversation. I am looking for a place close to work (Civic). I like eating out, yoga, gym, bike riding, Netflix and movies. I am also looking for housemate with whom I can be good friends with and hang out.
New to Canberra, I'm a quiet and friendly student who works as a barista 4-5 days a week. I enjoy reading, writing and playing guitar as well as the occasional chat. I've recently moved to canberra to study environmental science and am looking for a quiet, friendly and respectful household. I have a Staffy, Eve, who is well trained and playful; she is 2 years old and is very sociable with other dogs. I'm hoping to find a sharehouse with a suitable yard and friendly, easygoing roomates. Would love to hear from you 🙂
I am a pharmacist moving soon to Canberra.I am quiet, tidy, clean and non smoker.I like outdoors activity, gym and cycling.I like to eat healthy food.I like very much watching good films.I want to explore Canberra more.I want to have more friends in this beautiful city. I am respectable, friendly but I respect others privacy.I pay my rent regulary and I always take care of the place I live in. I want to live with people who will be like a family to me as I will be to them and not just a people I live with.
Very clean. Minimalist. Minimal furnishings inside the home. Need space to think, live and breathe. Enjoy a good conversation with the right people. Always use earphones at home on my laptop to allow others to focus on their own work quietly. I need the same in return. Early bird, asleep by 10pm and up at 5 - 6am. Quiet at night time in the home is extremely important to me after 10:30pm. I am flexible with my housemates with other requests, but my privacy and need for quiet time to do my Teaching work, research and rest in a quiet environment after a long day is extremely important to me. For fun in my spare time I enjoy reading, researching, playing chess and keeping fit. Ideally would like to share with just one male professional housemate at least 30+ years of age, very clean and quiet who I connect well with in some way. I get along with: - Introverted people. - Who keep their home immaculately clean, quiet and very empty (zero to minimal furniture). - Extreme minimalist like a Hindu Temple. I am willing to pay a little extra ($50 per week extra rent), for these above conditions if we click. Please do not waste my time or yours if you do not match this criteria. Thank you. Ideally happy to stay for up to 9 months on a contract if we click.
I am a public servant and go away most weekends to the coast. I am a clean and tidy person and am very easy to get along with. I like cooking and am willing to chip in with the chores. I am also very happy to chat, socialise and relax with a glass of wine after dinner.
Hi, my name is Stephen and I'm moving up to Canberra from Melbourne for work. I'm starting a 6 month contract role in financial services and looking for a place I can call home whilst in Canberra. I'm easy going, organised and friendly. Some of my favourite hobbies include squash, bike riding and vinyl collecting.
I am a mature, professional woman. I respect others' privacy and I always leave the kitchen clean. I am quite happy to help out others - like walking the dog. My preferred length of stay and start date is flexible. I would prefer my own bathroom, but that's not a deal breaker. I am happiest in a warm home with lots of natural light and outdoor space. Ideally, I would be in an inner suburb.
**Three month short term room** I am renting out my room as I'm completing a three month placement in rural NSW. Large, lovely house in south Canberra sharing with three other housemates (2 females and 1 male). The house has great views and a massive backyard as well as backing onto Red Hill reserve. Close to the local shops, Curtin Coles, TCH and Westfield Woden. All living areas are currently furnished however there is room for some additional furniture. The room itself is a great size and comes furnished (bed, desk, shelves) or unfurnished as you require. Great size built-in-robes. You will share the main bathroom with two other housemates. We would like to fill the room ASAP.
We love to keep our spaces clean and if you choose to team up with us, you will be coming back to a clean and fresh common space everyday. Basic hygiene will be well taken care of. You might even be in for home cooked food (baked, grilled and steamed) and the occasional pan-fried. Socially, we can be both self-contained and sociable, depending on your preference. I am into social sector and will be actively volunteering in Canberra. David has a background in writing, IT and policy and will be reentering the Australia workforce.
Very laid back, considerate, friendly and open to the occasional drink and conversation. Avid traveller planning my next big trip. Also love to cook and given I already travel alot for work, prob won't be around much during the week.
On a short secondment for 2 months in Canberra until end of June. Looking for a place that is ideally furnished for short term rent. I work full time during the week and most weekends I'm out. Have lived in share houses before and have a real estate reference.
Hi. I have just recently moved from Melbourne to Canberra for work (I'm a teacher - don't let that put you off!) and study (I'm doing my Master's in Asian and Pacific Studies at ANU). I'm an easy going person with a bright and bubbly personality. I've left all my furniture behind in Melbourne so I'm hoping to move into a fully furnished apartment/house - but happy to buy my own bedroom furniture if needed. I grew up in a large family (9 kids) so I know how to share.
Hi there, (I'm looking for place in Manuka, Kingston, Griffith and Forrest area, only!) I'm relocating to Canberra from Sydney and I'm after Flatmates or even to Team-up and start a new lease, around Kingston area !! I'm 33 years old, work in childcare full time. I'm very busy during the week but always happy to socialise with my Flatmates Looking for Normal people, that means: drama zone-free! I'm clean, respectful and mindful person. I'd love to hear from you :)
We are a young couple (not a fancy one) yet have dreams; dreams not too big, but practical; not impatient, but calm; positive & full of aspirations, yet respectful & ethical; do not drink (hence sober), yet social. And on.. and on.. And if we end up teaming together, you can fill the rest... :)
After 5 years of uni and two degrees I've landed a graduate job (private sector) however its on the other side of the country! So I'm moving to our great nation's capital from Perth at the end of June/early July and need somewhere to live! my budget is around $200-250 per week, less would be preferable and I'd consider more if it includes bills. I've lived out of home for the past 2.5 years so am very used to sharing space with others. I've very house proud and like to have the place looking neat and nicely decorated. I'm coming over with a car and a suitcase so a place with some furnishings is preferable but not essential I can buy whatever I need. I have a lot of clothes and shoes so need a decent wardrobe and probably room for a tall boy and queen bed. I am allergic to cats so thats a no-go, dogs are fine! I don't know a lot of people in Canberra so it is important to me that I get along with those I am living with and my new housemate(s) will be keen to hang out, explore and drink with me. I'm super active, like to run and generally be pretty healthy, I cook a bit too. I like to be social outside the house on the weekends, going for brunch, shopping and other girl stuff. I also like to binge watch tv (OITNB, Rick & Morty, Jane the Virgin, How to get away with murder, the Mindy project, New Girl, Suits etc) I don't watch a lot of movies but when I do they are easy watching chick flicks, rom coms or will Farrell/Seth Rogan type comedy. Likes: chocolate wine cheese a good pub feed eating sleeping being organised not being hungover dogs Dislikes: bugs people asking me to repeat myself then interrupting me after two words with the answer to my question mushrooms being late If you feel I may fit into your household please let me know! and keep in mind I cant move until 30 June
Hi there, My name is Rashmi and I'm a 26 year old public servant working in the Parliamentary triangle. I'm looking to move into an existing share house, or to start a new lease with another awesome individual. I've been living in Canberra for 2 years, but am originally from Melbourne. I've been share housing for quite some time and consider myself really clean and tidy, respectful and very easy going. I'm a self-proclaimed foodie and absolutely love making food for my housemates and hosting dinner parties. I'm also pretty active and do enjoy checking out the beautiful scenery around Canberra. Coming from Melbourne, I'm often away on the weekend, so you would probably have the apartment to yourself a lot. Unfortunately I don't have any furniture besides that in my bedroom, so I would be looking to start a new lease with someone who has quite a few things, but would happily also purchase furniture if I can find the right fit in housemate. I'm looking for someone with a similar mindset, is fun, likes to have a glass of wine here and there and wouldn't mind having some Netflix binge sessions ;) My lease is up on the 12th of May, so am pretty keeeeeen to get the ball rolling. Please contact me and we can catch up for a coffee or glass of wine. Cheers :)
Hello all, I am a 27 year old APS lawyer looking for somewhere to stay for approximately three months while I try to find employment interstate. I am an avid nerd of all things musical and political. I like to spend my free time keeping active, mostly with long distance cycling and going to the gym. I am reasonably social, but can also appreciate others' needs for personal space. I also like to keep things clean and neat. If you have something you think would suit, let me know - I'd love to take a look!
Hi all, I'm a 28 yo female, recent PhD graduate in genetics from Adelaide and I'm starting ongoing work in the public service next month. I'm currently living on a farm outside of Canberra, so I'd like to find a place in Canberra before work starts, because I am not looking forward to the commute! I'm friendly and social, a n/s and I enjoy brunch (if food counts as a hobby 😉), reading, bushwalking, and hanging with friends. I also love animals, so I'm happy to share with pets.
Beautiful sun filled room with an ensuite available in a big cosy 5 bedroom house with a pool and large backyard in Hughes. Our home is in a cul de sac that backs onto Red Hill so easy access to nature. We have ducted gas heating so you will keep warm in winter. The room has a built in wardrobe, and an ensuite bathroom with a toilet and a shower.
