Hi, I'm Ellie, and I'm looking to move sometime over the next 8 weeks or so (can move quite quickly if need be). I'm 25 and work full time in the city. I'm friendly and easy going, neat and tidy. I'm not really looking for a party house, I don't mind a few drinks with mates from time to time but mostly I like my down-time at home. I'm friendly and sociable but equally can keep to myself if that's what the house dynamic is! Happy to split bills and share housework.
Hello! I'll be starting full-time work with the public service in February 2017 and as such am looking for flatmates :) About me - I see myself as a friendly, but not overly boisterous person. I I like to keep active - swimming, cycling, and hiking are things I like to do for fun. I also love to cook and would be open to the occasional shared meal. As a newcomer to Canberra, I'll be keen for a chat over a beer and game for adventures in the CBD or bushland. That being said, I also value privacy and the need to feel 'at home' and comfortable in living situations. You can expect me to be courteous and friendly :) I am looking for two or three relaxed housemates who are happy for a chat. I value open communication, shared housework (roster perhaps?) and tidy shared living areas. Feel free to message me if you're looking to start a share house or in need of a flatmate - would love to meet you!
Hi there! Looking out for a nice place to live in Canberra towards the end of the year or start of next year. I'll be starting a new job at the Treasury as a policy analyst in February. The house ideally needs to be semi or fully furnished with a parking spot for my car (can be off-street). The room must be well-lit, and can be furnished or unfurnished. I'm a positive, friendly and honest person. I like reading, travelling, and yoga, and also like to keep active by swimming and running. I'd also like to get into cycling, and I'm looking forward to some trips to the snow! My main interests are political economics and international development. I'm quite an easy-going person to live with, and I like to keep things clean and tidy. I'm looking for housemates who I can occasionally spend time with in the evenings and on the weekends. Ideally, my housemates would enjoy having a good chat about the world, and have a good sense of humour. Cleanliness is a must. Please shoot me an e-mail if you have something suitable.
Situated in Deakin, 5 minute walk to Deakin shops, close to public transport, Manuka and Kingston only 5 minute drive for restaurants and cafe's. Close to Red Hill walking trails. Woden Plaza is also only a 5 minute drive.. There is parking on street, and a quiet area. Water, electricity, gas and some internet included in cost. However food is separate.
I am a Canberra local who enjoys staying fit, music and travel. I am respectful of others and like to keep a clean and tidy household. I work full-time in IT and have active social life. I am easy going and like to get to know people but i'm also happy doing my own thing. I would be interested in teaming up to rent a house as I already have my own furniture and appliances. I am available from early November.
Hello my name is Sarah and I wanted to send through my expression of interest into your available room which sounds great :) A bit about me: I am 25 and am currently studying my Masters of teaching by correspondence. I work at an after school care during the week and am looking for somewhere peaceful to settle & call home with some like hearted people while living here in Canberra town. I moved up to Canberra from Melbourne in February of this year. I lived in Melbourne for 5 years & while there I experienced many share homes... so I feel familiar with all the ins & outs of community living - sharing, caring, respect & fun :) I studied art in Melbourne as well as art therapy so I enjoy all things creative. I am currently learning to play guitar too....In my spare time I enjoy being quiet, making art & craft, baking, gardening, exploring Canberra's nature spots, yoga and meditation. I would be happy to pop round & visit some time & meet everyone if you all feel like it too. Thank you & all the best, Sarah :)

Bubbly, outgoing and neat individual, who likes going to the gym and exploring the outdoors. I don't smoke or get rowdy, and am looking to live with friendly people as I am moving to Canberra from Sydney for full-time work. I'm sociable and definitely will hold my end of the deal when it comes to household chores! I don't mind having a beverage with my flatmates, eating good food and having a tv show marathon. But I also am respectful of personal space and giving people their own down time.
Hi My name is Thibault and I am a French student. I have been in canberra for 4 months so far and I am starting a PhD in physics at the ANU in october. I already live in a sharehouse right now but the lease is ending so I need to find a new place. I have been living with flatmates for the last 3 years so I am used to it. I am easy to live with and clean (without being a cleanliness freak). I am often working late during the week, so you may not see me a lot but I like spending some time with my flatmates during the week-end. I don't have pets but I like animals. I don't smoke but I used to, so it's not a problem for me if you do. Finally I am a musician (guitar and drums) and I love jamming session so I would love to move in with other musicians.
Hi, My name is Anthony. I am staring a new job in Canberra around the end of Oct/ start of Nov. I am moving from Darwin and I'll be new to Canberra. I love to go out and have a good time but also have quiet weekends every now and then binge watching tv shows and relaxing. Love to cook and have people over for gatherings/bbqs. I'm a pretty neat and tidy person. I've previously lived with roomates so I know how to respect peoples space. I would like house mates who like to be social every now and then. I'm open to most areas of Canberra If its relatively close to the CBD.
I'm an undergraduate Education student from Brisbane. I'll be in Canberra for 3 months over the summer on an internship. I've been share housing for 3 years in a range of places - from the very large (7 people - was quite the experience) to smaller arrangements. I'm friendly, easygoing and open to social or quiet share houses. I always clean up after myself, respect common areas and my housemate's privacy. I enjoy cooking, sightseeing, reading and volunteering. Feel free to drop me a line if you're looking for a team up!

The house is pretty amazing, it feels like it's come off a set of Mad men, its a stupidly cool place to live. The house is fully furnished, has cork floors throughout, floor to ceiling windows around the whole back of the house that open onto a entertaining deck and backyard, timber paneling throughout and bedrooms are all queen size, bedrooms can be partly furnished if you need we can discuss. There is currently 2 boys and 1 girl and we are looking for another girl to balance the house, 1 of the guys is away and wont be back until November.
Moving to Canberra October end/First week November. Full time professional working with a Government Department. Prefer either South Canberra or Civic and surrounding as I will be working in Forrest. Usually I spend my time playing sport, catching up with friends over drinks or just chill at home watching TV or playing games. I like to keep the place neat and tidy and would like to find someone similar. I will have my car with me so need a car space.
Hi everyone! A bit about me... I recently moved to Canberra after living overseas in the UK and Netherlands for a couple of years studying then working with a human rights NGO. I'm originally from Adelaide, but don’t hold that against me! I work in Federal Government, and will be moving back into a humanitarian role in government very soon. I'm very active, and love being outdoors - playing sport, hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding (not well haha). Looking forward to making the most of Canberra’s outdoor scene this summer! I'm a pretty relaxed and outgoing kind of guy, enjoy a drink or two at the pub or over a BBQ or movie night at home but I’m definitely not a party animal. As I’m newish to Canberra, I’m keen to live in a house that feels more like a home. In that regard, I'm looking to start a small but social share house with people who are keen to hang out and socialise, but who are also considerate, and respectful of each other's privacy. I'm ideally looking for either a 2 or 3 bedroom place, with an ensuite bedroom that I could take. I’ve got a few bits and pieces of furniture - though anyone in possession of a fridge or washing machine will be highly regarded! ☺ Anyway, give me a shout if you think I'd be a good fit for your place, or if you're interested in teaming up to find a flat! Cheers, Trystan
Hi there, I'm looking to move in to a share house where I could rent a large bedroom with either an ensuite or a private bathroom. I love all animals and would love to live with someone who has pets, except cats (I'm allergic) I'm a vegan and am passionate about animal rights so I would love to move into a house with someone who shares similar views to me but this isn't a must, as long as cooking isn't a shared responsibility I do not mind living with people who eat meat at all. I like to think of myself as respectful, honest and clean housemate, I'm a non-smoker and rarely a social drinker. I work full time in the Public Service and when I'm not working I like to spend time with family and friends, watch Netflix, and play Xbox. If this sounds you have anything suitable for me please contact me and we can discuss things further :)
Hello! I'm a young professional from Sydney moving to Canberra for work in November this year. I'm friendly, tidy, and respectful of personal space. I'm an avid world traveller, love watching John Oliver videos, and am a fan of wine and cheese. What I am looking for is a place (either with housemates or by myself) close to Barton. Feel free to contact me if you think your listing is one I'd be interested in! My desired dates are 12 Nov to 4 Feb (can be flexible).
I'm an arts student at UC and work part time; always keen to cook a nice dinner and sit down for a movie or a chat. I love my potted plants (mostly ferns and ornamental chillies- have't figured out how to make them grow spicy yet though..) and tackling excessively complicated recipes, even if they don't always turn out so well! I'll be knuckling down hard at work and uni this year in preparation for a trip overseas, so when I'm not running around trying to be a productive adult you'll probably find me lounging somewhere comfy with a glass of wine. Looking for a fun, chill household or like-minded people to start a new place with- smiley housemates who love commiserating over work woes and binging on Netflix! :)
I'm a 23 year old who has just relocated to Canberra to start full-time work with the public service and am looking for somewhere to live, short or long term. I really don't mind. I'll tell you a little about myself. I especially enjoy time at the the beach and exercise when I can, cooking, sports and techy stuff are also my hobbies. I consider myself to be a clean and considerate person. I'm quite a social guy and enjoy a good chat and the occasional bev. However can respect anyone's privacy and enjoy my time spent alone too. I'm also likely to travel often as I have family on the North Coast and Northern NSW. I often have a busy lifestyle, as most would in Canberra I assume. I'm easy going, love to meet new people and share experiences. I have had more than at-least 5 years in house sharing.
Alicia: I am relaxed but do love to chat after a day's work, I am a housemate who is friendly and easygoing at the same time. I will respect your privacy but hope to be on friendly terms with my housemates. I am enthusiastic about good coffee, bike riding, seeing live music and reading. I also have a partner, Tom, who will be visiting for a bit and then living with me after I move to Canberra. He also loves coffee and bike riding and can play the guitar quite well. Tom loves any beer that is brown/strong and purchasing LPs for his record player. He is a vegetarian, but i'm not and will eat almost anything. We will both be full-time professionals who want to make the most of our time in Canberra with weekend trips and socialising. Both of us have been living with 3 other flatmates in Melbourne, with a cleaning roster that we stick to.
I'm a 28 year old female professional. I'm sociable, considerate and neat and tidy. Love animals. Grew up in and currently living in Wollongong, NSW so will be at the beach most weekends! Love sunshine and music, shopping, good food and good wine. :)
Howdy, IT professional, from Brisbane, FIFO, looking for good house to share. Am house trained and a happy chappie. Enjoy getting down to the beach and camping (Tathra, Bermagui) on the weekends I don't go home. Long term contract, enjoys social time and also respectful and enjoys quiet times as well.
This is a very neat and tidy house with everything a tenant requires. There are two houses on this block, it is the back house that is up for rent. The two houses share a driveway and property entrance through locked security gates. The house has a new oven and is freshly painted throughout (the images are taken before the mini renovation as it is still tenanted). There are floorboards in the living areas, tiles in the kitchen and carpets in the bedrooms. There is a combo washer dryer in the kitchen, but no separate laundry. The house is behind locked security gates and has an alarm system. It is very private and secure. The street is one block away from Melbourne Avenue which has buses running regularly to the City and Woden. It is twenty minutes walk to the Parliamentary Triangle and would suit public servants looking to form a share house. A group house situation is preferable. The area is very leafy and beautiful with easy access to Red Hill walking tracks.
Working 9-5 in the city so somewhere in the area would be ideal. Drinks tea and coffee in equal measure, will recycle till the end of days. Can cook about 12 things but willing to try new things (i promise i won't poison you). Enjoy playing sports some evenings and watching it others. I keep lying to myself that I like running but will do it on occasion.
Moving from Sydney to Canberra for full time work (mon-fri) in january. I'm an outgoing person who enjoys hanging out with friends, going out, outdoor activities and gym on occasion. Always up to do new things and meeting new people. I'm described as happy and bubbly person. Although I'm pretty easy going and chilled, I'm also a respectful person who is considerate of other people's belongings and personal space. In terms of living with, i'm not a messy person and will definitely keep the place clean. As long as everyone does their part i'm happy. I'm also not noisy and definitely enjoy my down time as well. Simply looking for some nice, tidy and chill people to share a place with.
I'll be moving from North Queensland to Canberra in early 2017. I'll be working full time as a teacher so you won't see me much during the week. I've been living by myself for the last 2 years so I know how to clean up after myself. I also have lived in shared accommodation with both guys and girls. I'm looking to live with someone who wants to be friends but can also respect the need for privacy and personal space. I offer the same to any potential housemate. If you clean up after yourself, we'll get along just fine. Also, I'm up for the occasional beverage on the weekends but I'm not looking for a party house. I'm just getting too darn old :P
Non-smoker who loves to travel, has been consistently employed for over a decade (except for a break I took to travel between my current job and the previous one), makes amazing crepes, loves dogs, is okay with cats, less okay with birds, loves the cinema, Netflix, reading, listening to music, and walking. I'm moving to Canberra from Penrith, NSW, to study full time at ANU but will be looking for part time employment once I settle in. I currently work in a legal firm and will most likely look for similar work. I don't drive or own my own car. I am tidy, handy with an Allen key, generally keep to myself but am always up for a chat.
Looking to see what currently available and if there are some people out there roughly around my age looking for a room mate! Okay to move out at any time, just trying to find the right people to live with :) Not looking to live too far away from the city or Belconnen and not looking to live on the Southside either (sorry peeps) I work full time as a PA and enjoy sports, online gaming, music, gigs, hanging out at home and good food and drink! Please feel free to message me if I suit what you are looking for in a flat mate :)
I'm a 26yr old Female and will be studying my Masters part-time and working full-time so will be quite busy during the week, but on the weekends I enjoy socialising with friends or just staying in and relaxing over a glass of wine. I'm super easy to get along with and am a pretty relaxed person in nature.
I'm a first year ANU student who is looking for a new place to stay. I'm respectful and will always keep common areas clean. I love to watch movies and tv shows but am also a lover of books. I take my studies pretty seriously so when I have assignments I will pretty much be locked up in my room procrastinating. However, other than that I am quite sociable and enjoy a good chat with my roommates. I'm a pretty chill person and not much really gets to me that easily. Did I mention my love of animals? I seriously love animals. I had two dogs, a cat, a couple turtles, a hamster... In other words, I have no problems with pets. Also, I grew up in a bunch of different places (Malaysia and Japan just to name a couple) so I'm also really into traveling and learning about new cultures. Actually I myself am half Japanese and Australian so culture is one of my "things" I guess. If you're a friendly, inviting person who is open to living with a laid back person like me, please don't hesitate to contact me because I think we'd make perfect housemates!
Hi, I'm Cameron, 24, and I'm moving up to Canberra to start a new job. I've lived in Melbourne my whole life, and in the past, I've been at uni studying chemistry and graduated with my Masters. The two things I spend the most resources would be travel and music. I like getting outdoors too, and always up for trying new things. I stay on top of mess, and do actually like cooking. I consider myself a social person, but considerate of others' space.
I work full time in government like most people in this town. I enjoy cycling, bars, road trips, and travel. I'm clean, easygoing and respectful of others' space. All the good things you want in a housemate. Active outside the house but am always happy to chat over dinner or a glass of wine! Available to move in anytime between now and November 13!
Freshly renovated brick house in a quiet tree-lined street 5 minute walk to Curtin shops, 5 minute drive to Woden and 10 minute drive to Civic. Newly painted and new bathroom. Good sized kitchen. Large sunny yard for pets -- or chillaxing! Having just moved in, I have two bedrooms on offer. A larger one with a pleasant outlook over the front yard. A smaller, single bedroom (2.8x2.8m) is also available. At the end of the corridor, it is quiet and light and would be ideal for a student or someone who doesn't need much personal space. Neither room has built-in wardrobes so are able to accommodate any bedroom furniture. The property is ideally located only 5 minutes walk from Curtin shops -- on the 'good' Yarralumla side. Your furniture would be welcome.
Hi, Im looking for someone to share a neat 3 bedroom house in Hughes. The house is furnished, as is the bedroom (optional if you need it). The home includes a new kitchen and appliances and is freshly painted throughout. Its a 10 min walk to the Canberra Hospital and 2 min to Hughes Shops. Woden Plaza is just a 2 min drive and Manuka and Kingston are only a 10 min drive down the road. We are close to public transport and close to Red Hill walking trails; The property has off street car parking and a large backyard with vegie patches growing happily. All gardening is taken care of and bills are shared. More about Me as the Flatmate I'm a easy going considerate female who likes a good glass of wine and a chat, but also some quiet down time.
I am a mature IT contractor working for health in Woden Canberra. I currently have a contract until the end of the year. I fly in on Mondays and Fly out Fridays so you will have the place to yourself on the weekends. I am easy going and quite and need a place to leave some of my gear and only sleep 4 nights a week.
Quite location close to Woden itself. Perfect for bike rides. Close to Redbrick cafe and Coles supermarket plus gym all across the road. Unit is located in a modern complex with undercover parking and storage. However this may need to be negotiable as I don't own a car yet. Carpeted unit so please take shoes off before entering. Modern kitchen with appliances. Fridge and washing machine available. No TV yet. Internet through Telstra will be connected this week. 100gb download per month. Happy to be included in rent but please don't go over the limit per month.
We're a friendly couple moving to Canberra from Melbourne (Brunswick) for work opportunities. Ideally we're looking for a room with an ensuite in a share house with 3-4 bedrooms but would consider other options. We're keen on a relatively social home environment e.g. sharing occasional meals or a couple of drinks with whoever is around. But we're pretty well-behaved during the week and limit more raucous behaviour to the pub. Doug is an open-minded kiwi that's always up for a chat. He's about to begin a 12 month philosophy post-doc on conscientious objection. He likes surreal and absurd conversations/humour (e.g. Paul Foot), going to gigs, camping, hiking, futsal, beers in the sun watching cricket... Nina is about to start work with the Murray Darling Basin Authority. She's outgoing and environmentally-minded (without being preachy) and she's also into camping, hiking, music festivals, and anything whimsical.
Chloe, 20. I am looking for a fresh start in a new city. I am a very clean, respectable and sociable but like my personal space also. I have 2 dogs which are the loves of my life. They are both really friendly, playful and will get along with other animals. I love art, music and occasionally going out with friends.
I'm a 26 year old working full time Monday-Friday looking for a new place to live in the ACT. I'm friendly and love to have a chat with housemates over drinks/dinner or even going out for social activities but at the same time I respect that everyone needs their space and privacy. I keep things clean and tidy (without being too over the top) and all rent and bills paid on time. I like to keep a relaxed and happy vibe at home - I have no problem at all with visitors but prefer to not be in a 'party' house. After work during the week I like to just chill out with dinner, a glass of wine and some music - I'm not much of a TV watcher myself but it doesn't bother me if others are. Sometimes I will watch a series or movie on Netflix instead :-P I enjoy cooking at home and also going out somewhere for a good feed. I have no pets of my own but I am more than happy to live in a place with pets. I've lived in a few sharehouses previously, I'm happy to share chores/housework and I'm pretty conscious of keeping things easy and enjoyable for everyone :) If you think I might be a good fit for your home or even have any questions, please get in touch :)
Social, friendly professional newish to Canberra originally from Sydney, like to keep fit and healthy. Usually keep busy with work/gym/study but also like to go out to take the edge off :) Happy to do my own thing or have dinners/drinks together Cheers
I'm a chartered accountant that also enjoys music and socialising. I own a gym in Fyshwick and compete in powerlifting. I'm easy to get along with, rarely home as my job and gym are very demanding.

I'm a clean, neat and tidy person, great cook and non-smoker with a professional full time job and can move in straight away. I'm looking for a nice place with great people. Really social and outgoing, I would love to live with similar people who might watch a movie together sometimes or share a glass of wine in the evenings occasionally! Message me on here and I'll get back to you.
