Hi, I'm Louis. I'm originally from Melbourne, and currently in my fourth year of an Arts/Languages double degree. I am on a full scholarship, and am tidy, respectful and very studious.
Hey there! I'm moving to Canberra from Adelaide in Feb 2019 to start as an APS Graduate (I know that's still a while away but I thought I might try and get a jump on the crowds..) I've lived in share houses for the last few years and have loved it - I'm friendly, very relaxed and more than happy to pull my weight with cleaning and cooking etc etc. I'm looking for a house of people who are easy going and who are keen to hang out and share a meal and a few drinks every now and again. That said, I also know how crazy work and study can be and we all need time alone to recharge. A little more about myself... I love hiking, camping and getting outdoors, I try to ride my bike wherever I can, and I try to live sustainably. I enjoy cooking and baking and Netflix binging in my free time. I've accumulated quite a bit of furniture and some appliances - couches/coffee table/fridge/washing machine and so on - which I'm more than happy to supply if you need it. Otherwise an empty bedroom to call my own is all I need. If you think we'd get along and you might have a free room around the start of 2019 please let me know! Cheers :)
3 bedroom house recently purchased and renovated- new floorboards (carpet shown in photos has been removed) and redone kitchen (new stove/oven compared to that shown in photo). Great location, just down the road from Dickson shops and a short cycle or drive to Civic and the ANU. Local park and ovals at the end of the street in a nice quiet suburb. Great place for Summer- Huge backyard for summer BBQs, plenty of space to be able to do your own thing but also a great place for socialising. LGBTIQ+ friendly, sorry, no pets!
I am moving up from Melbourne to study a Masters Degree in Neuroscience at ANU. I am looking for somewhere clean and reasonably quiet. I enjoy reading, board games, going for walks, and chatting about interesting topics. I have experience living in two different sharehouses, and am a big believer in establishing clear expectations and in everyone doing their part to keep everything clean, tidy, and running smoothly.
Currently I am working part time 3-4 days per week. I have lived to share housing many times before and can clean up after myself and participate in the maintenance of the household. I would say that I'm quite amenable sort of person with good social skills.
Hey! We're a couple moving down to Canberra in Jan/Feb 2019 for work/study. Elena is starting her PhD at ANU, and Oskar is starting work at the ATO. We're both very flexible people - we appreciate the need for private bedroom space, but will happily chill in the living space with other housemates after work and on weekends. Around the house we're both very low maintenance, the sort of people who'll make the effort to wash up the dishes in the evening so we don't have to deal with it in the morning. In her spare time, Elena loves reading, drinking tea, and playing hockey. Oskar plays a lot of ultimate frisbee, listens to music, and enjoys being out-and-about. We're both casual trumpet players, though we only practice once or twice a week so don't worry about the noise! We're looking for 1-3 people to share a house with somewhere within 7km or so (cycling distance) of ANU. We don't have any strong preferences in housemates, as long as they're roughly 18-30yrs old, don't smoke inside the house, and are socially accepting people. We hope to hear from you soon :)
Hi, we are couple and want to rent from 25.11.2018 untill 25.12.2018.we can pay cash bond for 4 week.we will be at home just for night for sleeping because we are working.we are easy going and respect to everybody's privacy. please call or text. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you
About me I work full time in Woden, do regular yoga/walks/gym sessions, love to cook for myself and others, and really enjoy my private quiet time but also socialising and having a warm friendly home to come home to. Looking for - Somewhere with a yard so I can grow veggies and herbs, and am also really wanting to start a beehive! - Not a party house, as I will be working shift work - this doesn’t mean you need to tip toe, but loud music blaring all the time won’t suit me - Just chill, respectful and transparent housemates; I’ve lived in share houses before and it can always work as long as everyone respects everyone else :) Happy to give more info and answer any questions, text me or message me here if you think I’m a good fit! 0438582818 Kyra
Holla, I’m moving to Canberra for a full-time work opportunity and looking for a house share. I’m pretty laid back but clean and respectful of others space and just looking for a fun, friendly and social house. I tend to be busy during the week but always happy to hang out over a wine/brunch/The Bachelor. Also pretty keen on beach/snow trips. Shout out if you have any questions.
We are kind, courteous and polite who know how to respect a home. We are Phd and Honours students and also receive income through scholarships and casual work. Currently, looking for a place starting Feb 2019.
Currently looking for a room in a sharehouse, and also open to teamups! I work full-time in IT contracted with the government, and have been living in sharehouses since 2013 (so I know the deal :P). I'm pretty easy-going to live with, and generally keep to myself, although I enjoy a game of pool and a few beers when the weekend rolls round and am always down to hang out. I'm a non-smoker (except when I'm drinking lol), respectful of tidiness and personal space/noise, and can cook a mean shepherds pie. Hobbies include gaming, watching sport, and playing social sports. Looking for easy-going housemates who aren't opposed to a few quiet ones on weekends
I am pretty quiet, enjoy tea, chats and have great taste in TV & poetry. I'm currently working part-time in the community sector and loving it! Canberra has got me hooked on latin partner dancing, yeah I didn't see this hobby coming either :p At home, I like to cook with fresh veggies, do yoga and try my hand at gardening.
Great Location to everything, with a shopping center across the road. Halfway to Civic and Belconnen. Dickson precinct 2 minutes away. Room is unfurnished with wall heater, your own bathroom, decent size living space and small courtyard outside. I have a couch tv and microwave.
My partner and I are looking for a house to move in together. We are friendly, easy to get along with and quiet people. We are very busy during the week working/studying full time.
I am 21 originally from Newcastle but am studying in Canberra. I am clean, tidy, thoughtful and considerate. I am also very chill, friendly, respectful and open! I study music and work a lot so I remain pretty busy but also love to hang out and have fun going to the movies/gigs/beach/shopping etc.
Hey hey hey. I'm a full time worker. But I don't work the average 9-5 hours. Start a little later and therefore finish a little later. I'm incredibly tidy and clean. Like to think I am easy going. Can provide a washing machine, fridge, television, dining table and other communal furniture. Not looking to share with more than one other person. Any further questions don't hesitate to shoot me through some questions!
Hey. We're looking for a fourth housemate to move into our large 4 bedroom sharehouse in Downer. The room itself is medium-large and comes with a wardrobe and some big floor to ceiling windows. You’ll share a wall with the master bedroom. The other 2 bedrooms and the main bathroom are on the other side of the living area. The house has some huge communal areas, the kitchen opens onto the living/dining area which is all open plan and has timber floorboards throughout. There is ducted reverse-cycle installed throughout the house and another split air in the living area. We also have a great deck out the back with a bbq and an outdoor setting. The place has all the usual appliances already; fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer. We’re in Downer, close to Gang Gang cafe and Dickson shops, so pretty central location.
Hi all :) I'm currently looking for a room to rent long term. hoping for something reasonably close to Braddon 20-30 minute walk would be great .i currently work full-time at a bakery in Braddon so always coming home with plenty of bread and pastries to share. i spend my free time reading and catching up with friends. hoping to find something soon but I'm flexible with dates.
I’m 23 and originally from Townsville but moved to Canberra two years ago. I’m currently studying at uni (bachelor of arts - politics and business). I’ve previously lived in share houses before and also shared uni accommodation (I’m happy to give you their contact details if you want to have a chat with any of them.) I’m pretty friendly and easy to live with. I keep things clean and tidy.
I'm looking for a room for rent. Looking for cool and decent housemates who can have friendly chat during a cup of coffee . I'm Indian student studying Master's at ANU. My interests include cooking, gardening, painting. Im clam, decent and cool guy
Hey! I'm in my mid-twenties, finishing my degree in Philosophy and Human Rights and moving up to Canberra! I'm a homely and interactive type, the kind who loves to chat after a day of work, share meals together, and play a round of cards or chess over a good (cheap) bottle of wine, but I also value down-time. I love to cook (think Ottolenghi, Vietnamese or Mexican from scratch), and appreciate a good veggie/herb garden. I'm known to spend hours: at my potter's wheel, op-shopping, at any social dancing spots, immersed in a book, getting lost and finding my way back on hikes. *Date is flexible from November to end of January! **Preferring between $150-200 a week
Great location - Downer is a leafy inner-north suburb that's a 12 minute drive from the city. It's also only a few minutes walk to Dickson shops and public transport (including a major bus and future light rail stop). Room: The room is on the top floor of the townhouse, giving it plenty of sunlight and great airflow in summer. It has enough room to comfortably fit a queen bed, side table and an oversized desk. The mirrored-wardrobe has plenty of hanging space for your clothes and, If needed, there is also a hall cupboard and further space in the garage for storing personal items. The dimensions are 3m x 3.1m. House: The townhouse is huge - its four bedrooms, two bathrooms and an additional powder room are split across two levels. It has a large contemporary kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, and a separate laundry contains both a washing machine and clothes dryer. Aside from your room, the house comes fully furnished. Out the front of the property is a lovely fenced-off courtyard with an outdoor dining suite and gas heater for keeping warm in the cooler months. There's ducted air conditioning throughout all rooms, though it's hardly needed due to the modern build and great insulation. Parking. Plenty of parking is available in front of our house Bills: Gas and electricity bills are very low for a property of this size. Water usage is covered by the landlord. Unlimited, fast internet is $10 per month. Note: You will have to sign a sublease agreement. Bond is $770 and two weeks rent in advance will be required.
