I'm from NSW Coast come to Canberra to study B Actuarial Studies and PPE. This would also be my last year in undergraduate (hopefully). I lived on campus at Ursula Hall for the first 3 years and then for the last year have been in share housing. I play tennis with the ANU Tennis club most days of the week (prob at least 5 out of 7 days) and cricket on summer weekends. Usually when i'm with my friends we're playing card/board games or table tennis, but just any casual fun. Other than that I'm pretty independent when i'm at home. Go on my computer, play games, watch movies etc. I also have a solid part time job when I'm not studying, and I bring a very small car with me - but don't need a carport or garage. The closer to ANU the better. Preferably within cycling distance. Keen for a place asap. Furnished is a bonus.
I am a 23 year old danish girl, who will be studying for one semester at ANU starting from mid February 2018 till June 2018. I am finishing my bachelor degree in media science, where I studied my first 5 semesters back in Denmark. I hope to have a great semester in Canberra, get some nice experiences and have the opportunity to meet new people. I characterize myself as a friendly, openminded and considerate person. In my spare time I like to be active, especially I like running. Also I like reading books, and I am really interested in movies and tv shows too (at the moment my favourite show is Black Mirror, it's awesome but kind of disturbing). I have been living with two other room mates back in Denmark and I am used to sharing, cleaning and being a part of a houseshare.
Katie and I are two mature, responsible students focused on our studies and our jobs. We like to spend our free time exercising, reading, watching movies, shows and going out to dinner. We are quiet and busy individuals. I will be completing my honours year in Psychology whilst Katie is completing her 3rd year in psychology during 2018. We both have work histories in customer service as well as health and fitness. We find others easy to get along with.
Hello potential flatmates! I'm shifting to Canberra from India to study at the ANU starting from February 2018! In short, I'm am a history, language and culture enthusiast, always looking out for travel opportunities, known for cleanliness, enjoy binge watching (soccer, movies, dramas you name it!) and karaoke nights. As you may have probably guessed from my course, I hold an avid interest in studying languages, which means that you will find me interacting with you over a meal every now and then!
I am a 21 year old full time student studying social work at ACU. I work casually at a residential drug and alcohol rehab, and I would consider myself social but am understanding that everyone needs down time.
we are an easy going couple :) open to have a nice chat or dinner together but we also enjoy time for ourself. we both are students but my boyfriend works also full-time for a big IT company.
Hi, I am Nicola! I am a 24yr old, full time working professional. I work Monday - Friday and like to relax after work. I am very clean and tidy, respectable, trustworthy and easy to live with. I enjoy my alone time but also love a good chat, glass of wine/beer and some trashy tv. I am looking to move into a friendly, chilled and respectable home with like-minded people. Ideally, I am looking for an unfurnished room with my own bathroom (this is not essential). I am also open to teaming up with someone to find a new home!
I’m a part-time student studying politics, philosophy, and economics at ANU. I work at LUSH, T2, and an LGBTQI+ not-for-profit. (So I promise our bathroom will smell nice and you will never be without a morning beverage!) I’m from Melbourne, love going on outdoor adventures, and have a small car called Conchita. During a regular week, I would be out of the house for most of the day (at work or studying) but would be back home in the evenings. I’m extroverted and naturally surround myself with other people, but I also appreciate and respect my own - and more importantly, other peoples - quiet space/time. Some things I really enjoy are cooking, Netflix, wine and cheese, and a good book. I’m a very clean person and can easily fit into an existing schedule. At a minimum, you can always rely on me to clean up my dishes, wipe the bench after I’m done, vacuum once a week, and most importantly…to replace the toilet roll after I take the last square.
I've recently relocated to Canberra from Melbourne for a role in the public service. I'm looking for a decent sized room in an established share house in the city or inner suburbs. I'm very tidy and friendly, and I like to run and cook. I have bedroom furniture in storage, along with a big screen smart TV that may be appropriate for a living room in need of one, and am ready to move in in late Jan or early Feb.
The place is newly renovated with roomy living areas, a new kitchen, a shared bathroom and ample heating/cooling. There’s even a two room bungalow out back for guests, yoga sessions and Game of Thrones nights. It comes equipped with a fridge, a wine fridge(!), TVs throughout, washer, dryer and a dish washer. We’re currently in the process of furnishing the place so having furniture is a bonus! We’re a two minute drive (10 min walk) to Dickson shop/pool/China Town, an easy ride into the city/Braddon with access to bike paths and there’s plenty of ‘off-street parking’ available. The room is available from Feb 1 for $165/wk. It has a small cupboard with built in shelves, a ceiling fan, a small TV and a huge window onto the back garden. Ideally you’d be on the lease til Jan ‘19. All bills will be split four ways.
Hi! I'm Maggie, I'm from Sydney and I’m moving to Canberra to do my Masters at ANU. I’m looking for some friendly and social housemates who like to share some dinners. I like cooking, crime dramas and art galleries. :)
Easy going, social, shared before, studying full time. Like people, pet friendly. I already miss my dog! (OK, she's my parents, but she loves me) I like to cook. Apparently I sing to myself when I'm happy. I like chilling out, often by reading or writing, and im hoping to improve my water colour skills this year. I'm starting a masters at ANU Jan 22 and I'm looking for somewhere to live! My course runs until the end of November, and while I will be away as part of my study, I'm looking for somewhere I'm glad to return to. I am really looking for somewhere within 5-6km cycle of either ANU or Questacon.
I am a Canberra local, starting a PhD in molecular plant science in February. I have a lot of experience in sharehouses and appreciate the importance of being clean and tidy and respecting other people's space. My main hobbies are long distance bicycle riding, horticulture, music and reading. I enjoy the company of others but also fully content in spending time alone.
I'm starting a grad position with the Dep of Infrastructure. Have share housed, ran share houses and truly enjoy the company of others. Especially over a home cooked meal and some wine. I'm an avid gardener, forager, pickler and fermenter. Having recently mourned the loss of my sourdough starter due to my extensive travels overseas. I enjoy clean public spaces, dirty jokes and a good contagious laughing fit. I have plenty of furniture, cookware and can get a fridge and washing machine from Melbourne if required. Oh, that's where I'm from but I'm rather well travelled also. If you're keen to start a place or have a room spare let's catch up for a coffee and see how we get along.
I am a student at ANU studying Psychology and Philosophy. I consider myself a very chilled out and open-minded person. I enjoy spending my free time chilling in the sun reading, being in nature, cooking and eating food, playing games. I would enjoy living with people who are open-minded thinkers who i can have fun and interesting discussions with, whilst also giving each other our own space.
Hi there! I am a student moving to Canberra for 1 year to work while completing a postgraduate degree. I love animals but sadly will be leaving my dog at home. I am typically a quiet person when at home who prefers to relax by going outside or watching videos/movies. I clean up after myself and enjoy gardening and adding some green touches! I prefer to cook my own meals at home most of the time but do enjoy going out to try new places to eat. I will have a busy schedule so wish to find a place that is calm and quiet. Hope to be in touch soon!
Hi, I'm passionate about recycling, helping out, great at fixing things, and have a very sociable Jack Russell who loves attention and a ball. Currently renting in Gungahlin (last 14 months), I work full time in Civic (I.T.), and want to be closer to work so I can ride my bike ($16.70 for parking is ridiculous). I spend some weekends at coast or camping/visiting friends/kids interstate. Looking for a place that has a secure outside yard and a space to park the car.
Hi! I recently finished my undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology at the University of Newcastle and have been offered a full-time job in Canberra. Since I will be moving to a new place, I am keen to explore Canberra and meet new people. Although I like some alone time, I am keen to live with others who will be up for a chat, exploring Canberra and being friends as well as housemates. I have lived with numerous housemates before and haven't had any problems. I am clean, friendly and and respectful of others and am looking for housemates with these same qualities.
