I've been living in sharehouses for 3 years so I'm tidy and clean and respectful of others. I'm quite friendly and sociable and love the idea of making new friends but am also happy to occupy myself and have downtime because we all need to recharge. I work as an Executive Assistant in the public service, and am keen to socialise on weekends, but stay pretty quiet during the working week. I'm into sewing and crafts, always love a good movie night or a Sunday afternoon BBQ with friends. Looking for other young people who want to live life to the fullest and have a bit of fun.

Looking for a place for me and my beautiful dog Bonnie. I work full time in the public service and would prefer roommates at similar stages in life. I'm pretty relaxed, don't go out much but love a night in with wine and cider. Prefer brunch and drinks over big parties. I do like things pretty clean (especially the kitchen) but not a neat freak. Bonnie does shed a bucket load of hair so I try and vacuum once a week to keep on top of it. She is a really sweet dog though, very kind, smart and funny. If you have any questions, just ask.
I recently finished my studies in nursing and paramedicine and will begin working full time in May. At the moment I work full-time at a pharmacy. I enjoy playing basketball, going to the gym and going for hikes. I like living in a tidy house and am very happy to contribute to the house chores. I have been living out of my parents home for close to a year and am looking for a new house due to the lease ending on the house I am currently living in. I enjoy my own space but am always up for a chat. Cant wait to hear from you :)
I am stereotypical Canberran who is addicted to coffee, yoga and works in the public service. I volunteer at the RSPCA walking the dogs so i always have cute videos and photos to share. I'm keen to move into a social house, by that I don't mean a party house (i have had that experience before and I'm not keen to do it anymore haha) I just like sharehouses that are like a home instead of feeling like you are just renting the room. My friend's and I take it in turns to have Sunday night dinners and play board games. I also enjoy a beer in the sun but much more likely to have afternoon beers than party until the sun comes up. Feel free to contact me with any other questions :)
I work full time for the government and I'm also finishing up my PhD (somehow). I'm a keen cook and love making fresh pasta. I like going to the driving range to relax, and I'm trying to learn how to boulder. Easy going and neat, I have a lot of experience in share-houses. Always happy for a chat, shared dinner or watching a movie, but also happy to do my own thing. Looking for a relaxed and friendly home with neat housemates. Pets are always a plus!
Good size furnished room with wardrobe in a sunny relaxed older style and quirky house. Close to bus and shops. Share with considerate, thoughtful, friendly and mature housemates and bonus cute poodle x companion. Looking for mature housemate (ideally over 30) who is considerate, enjoys household company and also appreciates mutual respect for personal space and privacy. There is a large sunny backyard with many lovely native birds, heaps of herbs and a vegetable patch that needs attention. The house has two living spaces which is a bonus; and the shower, bath and toilet are all separated which also makes for easy sharing despite only having one of each. The house is relaxed but clean (a cleaning roster helps to make this stress free :)). Food and cooking is separate - there is lots of space in kitchen cupboards and extra fridge/freezer. No smoking household.

I'm a 28 year from Cronulla, Sydney. I have been working as a solicitor for the past 4 years. When I'm not working I like be fit and active - running, ocean swimming and bush walking. I have been playing soccer since I was 6 and have followed Manchester United since they beat Bayern Munich in 1999 Champions League final. I like going to gigs and play the guitar (badly). I also like having a drink and some banter, watching movies and TV. I'm pretty much into all the standard stuff that people enjoy doing :)
m 25yr old from the south coast moving to Canberra to study psychology full time at university of Canberra, also pick up a bit of work on the side when I can in hospitality to pay the bills and stuff. I’m easy going and clean, respectful, traveling ,baking some goodies and hopefully getting a bike to get around on since its a flat place, cheap and effective flexible with locations around theses areas
The room you would be in is the biggest in the house and gets nice light in the afternoon. House is a forty second walk from Dickson shops and a five minute walk to Northbourne Ave buses and the new tram. Very good location. We have a growing vege garden. Looking for someone to move in ideally round the 1st April. I will be back on the 15th May so the room would have to be vacated before then. Plenty of storage as well in the garage and cupboards around the house. House has ducted gas heating as it starts to get cold.
Hello there! I'm a 21 year old aspiring Earth Scientist who will be in Canberra for 3 months from May to July to take on an internship at the ANU. I'm into reading novels, watching TV shows, game a bit and enjoy travelling and just generally like going to new places. I keep clean (most of the time), don't smoke, and will respect your privacy. I am currently looking for a place at not too far a distance from the ANU. Basic amenities like Internet, Washer and a Kitchen would be necessary. Open to sharing rooms should such a circumstance arise. If you're easy going and are kinda into the same things I am, then we will get along pretty well!
We are two young professionals looking for 1-2 others to team up to sign up for a 3/4 bedroom house. We are both fairly clean/tidy, and are looking for someone who is friendly and up for having some good convos, and watching the odd movie or splitting a bottle of wine. If you're interested, send us a message and tell us a little about yourself. About Zac: I'm 23 year old public servant who enjoys reading, boardgames, netflix marathons and the occasional hike. I'm always up for having a good chat over a glass of wine. About John - I'm a young professional in my mid-20s moving to Canberra from Sydney to start as a graduate in the private sector. Outside of work I love to travel to try new foods, exercise and play video games. Some places we would consider teaming up for: https://www.domain.com.au/68-hampton-circuit-yarralumla-act-2600-12891738 https://www.domain.com.au/3-4-8-mcgowan-street-dickson-act-2602-12944084 https://www.domain.com.au/ainslie-act-2602-12940880
Hi! I am looking for a share house in central Canberra. I am hoping to meet new people who will be up for a chat and will watch corny tv shows and movies with me. I like keeping things nice and tidy and I will respect your personal space.
Hi, my name's Stefan, & I'm a full-time civil servant looking for a laidback, friendly sharehouse or apartment. 33 yo, non-smoker & occasional drinker, no pets or offspring, fiscally sound (credit-card free zone). I've travelled a great deal (45 countries and counting) & am generally friendly, respectful & more or less grown up, and looking for the same things in my flatmates. Enjoy music, drama, reading, hiking, cycling. Probably the strangest thing about me is my memory for sound: e.g. I can recite 1.5 hours of the Lord of the Rings Radio Play from memory, simply because I listened to it so often as a kid. Practicalities: I'm available to come meet you most times outside of work hours over the upcoming weeks, and I have all the furniture I'd need to move into an empty room. If there's anything communal the house is missing that you'd like, let me know, as I might have it stashed away.
Hello!! We are a fun and friendly couple, mid 20’s professionals. (a chiro and electrician) We love to get outdoors and be active, travel, grab a brunch and coffee and enjoy the occasional wine! We are pretty busy during the week but love to find the right balance of socialising and chilling on weekends. We are super house trained so are very respectful of people’s space, we love to have a clean and tidy place to call home. We would love to either start a new share house or join an existing one! Would be great to meet some new people and find a place we can call home. 😊 If it sounds like we would be a good fit, get in touch! We are looking forward to meeting you!
The Magic Chicken House is offering a furnished sunny room for someone in need of a SHORT STAY (1 month from 1st April - 2nd of May)! Our dearest housemate is going overseas for 1 month, we are not trying to replace him (not long-term stay!!) We’re a rollicking house made of musical instruments, feathers, fruit trees, chickens (who live by their own lore hence the house nickname), blue tack and bicycle parts. THE HOUSE: - An open kitchen with dishwasher + all the kitchen furnishing you could dream of including frequent cake baking, apple juicing, Sauerkraut making, preserving, large-scale cook-ups from all different parts of the world (all of us are from different parts of the world and we do enjoy our feasts!), - Separate shower, bathroom and toilet facilities, - Big garage for storage of bicycles and pingpong tables, - That is currently also a workshop for wicked experiments - At least one Catan board at a time, - Flat roof for sunset beer // tea // gin drinking, - Open slate floor dinning area / sitting room / fantastic collection of cookbooks - Did we mention gas central heating? - And the stellar garden? WE'RE LOOKING FOR: - People who are into cheesy dance moves, - Want to live in a house which is as much as house as a community, as "home" - keen to consider communal food sharing arrangements, gardening, composting and eating radishes - have sustainable living practices (you have to love that compost) - eat those veggies (Epic Farmer's Markets is around the corner!) - into organic foods and real food in general (and cooking) - into foraging (Canberra is a great place for that), keen for hunting delicious mushrooms and growing your own food - hopefully going to bring some whacky art/cult/food/other practice into the house and make lots of mess and noise (but actually we're pretty into that, you've just got to not be too adverse to letting us join in), + LGBTQI friendly people, + Generally friendly and accepting, + (do I get to write 'feminists' here? I think I do) Feminists, + also no bigots ♥. FINANCES: - the room is 260$ a fortnight ; - There are seasonal bills (for electricity and gas) and an on going weekly internet bill (approx. 10$ a month). Get in contact, tell us about you and what makes you tick, and if it seems like there's a fit we'll arrange coffee and house viewing and all that jazz. Also feel free to ask questions. Big love, The Magic Chicken House Hope to hear from you soon.
I'm in my third year studying music at the ANU, also sort of doing a double degree in psychology. I'm a songwriter, I play piano, sing and occasionally (very occasionally) I play gigs, hoping to up the scale of that particular operation though, so anyone who knows how to sing or play and wants to jam I'd love that. I also worked as a singing teacher for a year and am planning on doing so again. I enjoy having people around I can relax and spend time with from time to time - eat, maybe go out on the town with, help out with existential decisions etc. the works. I also really appreciate space and alone time, probably because I'm an only child so I get a bit drained if I'm around people all the time, so I'm not a threat when it comes to constantly wanting to monopolise your time. I love to read (currently reading The Penguin book of Hell, that's either a grabbing fact or terrifying, take your pick), write, love trying new things, if you ever wanna take a leap into something (unless it's literal, no thanks to diving off cliffs) and you're too nervous to do it alone, I could be your girl. I'm at uni a fair bit and also spend a fair amount of time at my boyfriend's place, so I wouldn't be around all the time either! I've lived independently for 2 and a bit years now, in a uni lodge then a share house, I've been enjoying moving around Canberra a bit and meeting new people though. I'm looking for a fairly cheap share house that's hopefully close to the city, a room (small, medium, large I don't really mind) with an ensuite would be a massive bonus and I don't mind houses with animals at all.
Moving out of my current place and looking for a share house with good vibes and friendly people. I am a psychology/philosophy student at ANU and enjoy spending my time studying, relaxing, and hanging out with friends.
I am a Physics student from India. I study at the IIT. This winter I will be at ANU for an internship. I am 20 years old and very hard working, but nonetheless, I love spending fun time with my friends and roommates. Be it watching TV series, movies or sports. I am a great appreciator of all forms of Art. Be it music, movies, plays, books or painting. I love sports. I mainly play cricket and badminton. I regularly go for Hiking or cycle hiking, and I also have a knack for adventure sports.
We’ve got space for one new housemate in our large 5 bedroom sharehouse in Downer. It’s a 2 minute drive to Dickson shops, 10 minutes into Civic, and the EPIC farmer’s markets are just around the corner. Access to public transport is easy with plenty of buses running. And once the light rail is completed, getting to the city will be easier than ever! Your space would be two small rooms for $170. One room could be used as a bedroom, and the other as a study/workspace/creative space. As a bonus, we have a little jack russell in the house to give you cuddles and pretend to be a guard dog. Looking for a housemate that is a young professional or student in their mid-20s to 30s. Must be clean, neat, and laid-back. Hoping to have a house with good family vibes, with frequent family dinners and the occasional night out together.
