Hi, I'm Julie and I'm looking for a large room where I can have my queen size bed and a table to put my TV and DVD equipment. I also need an area of about 2.5 metres wide to set up my computer and other equipment. Ideally I'm looking for a large room or rumpus room sort of thing, granny flat etc. I can't afford much more than about $180 as I also have to pay $50 per week for storage at a facility. I've lived in the same rented house for over 14 years and can provide an excellent reference from the landlord. I have to move as both my housemates (lived with me 12 years and 1.8 years) both moved out at the same time and I can't afford $440 rent on my own. I'm a pet lover, non-smoker, hard worker with a fun and positive outlook on life. I'm a good communicator and also "don't sweat the small stuff" when living with others. Beautiful house with a marvellous kitchen big living area as well as a big sitting area towards the front good backyard nicely sized rooms all with built ins. AC is available in the lounge room and easily brings the naturally cool house down to a very pleasant temperature. Very friendly housemates that love to have a beer together but also respect each others space. I'm an apprentice plumber and Patrice is a sales consultant. We keep a pretty tidy house as a rule but your bedroom is your business. We both work full time so you may not see too much of us. Nice quiet location. Aldi is on the same block and you will find a nice butcher and fruit and veg shop there too as well as a bulk billing GP and some nice cafes. Bus station is just down the road. Note- I am not looking to move until Saturday the 1st of July. I am an environmental professional moving to Brisbane from Adelaide to work with a large mining company. I will be predominantly 9-5pm working in the city centre although, will also be required to work away from time to time. My initial contract is for two years, so if the flat share thing works out, I'm happy to continue for that time. I do not know many people in Brisbane so I figured accommodation sharing might be a good way to meet some people. I enjoy a chat and a few beers/wines, but I also enjoy my own space and downtime. I am clean and tidy, and extremely respectful of other peoples personal space. Also Keen to join a gym nearby, if you know of any? Ideally I will share with only one other person and have a private bathroom. However if the house is large and we aren't all cramped in, and there is at least two bathrooms, I will consider living with more than one person. FURNITURE: I'm ideally looking for somewhere fully furnished apart from the bedroom. I have a medium size desk and can buy the rest of the stuff. If it's already furnished then that's a bonus. BEDROOM SIZE: I definitely need a bedroom of reasonable size. Hoping to fit a queen bed, desk and a whiteboard for my work. Don't worry the whiteboard will only be attached to the wall by Velcro. I'm not big on TV (in one place I didn't even own a TV lol) at all so don't expect me to join you on the couch watching it. I don't mind the news and a bit of sport though. I just find you learn more by reading. - I do all of my socialising with friends outside of the flat/property but I 100% don't mind if you have people over. I'm not one for dinner parties but go for it!! - I'm not a vegetarian. I cook my own meals as have my own diet I need to follow. Of course there may be a time where a meal or take-away could be shared. - I'm a clean and tidy person and expect likewise. - I'm straight and single currently - I'm open to living with people of all cultures and sexuality. - I have lived and worked in Sydney (4 years) London (5 years) and Melbourne (3 years) previously.
