The house is an older Queenslander. Its high ceilings, windows and shady location means it's quite cool inside the house in the summer heat. It is also reasonably priced for the area. We're at walking distance or a short bike ride to South Bank, West End or UQ St Lucia campus. There is plenty of room in the house and in the yard to accommodate your hobbies or furniture. There is also a cat living here. The house is quite old, so it would be inappropriate for someone looking for something more modern. There is also a choice between two rooms. The larger room is $155 and smaller room is $135. Bills (internet, gas, electricity) will be $18-$20 extra per week. We had this house up a couple of weeks ago but it didn't work out with the potential house mate. Thus this ad is up.
Hi guys :) I'm a 23 years old post-grad student from Munich. I'm looking for a flat with sociable, young (20s or 30s) and easy-going flatmates who would be in for sometimes having dinner, watching a movie or drinking a coffee/beer/wine together. I'm studying at UQ for this Semester and unfortunately I have to leave already at the 1st of July. Since I started to study 7 years ago I lived always in a shared flat, I just like to have people around to whom you say more than just "hello". I like to do sports and I would like to travel on some days to see the Gold or the Sunshine Coast. I've been already 3 times abroad from Germany for a longer time - I studied in Portugal for 2 Semesters (which was the best experience I could have made) , 1 semester in England and I worked in the US for a couple of months. Everywhere I lived in flats with wonderful, open-minded people and with most of them I became close friends. If someone of you is searching a flatmate like me and if it is okay for you that I just can stay for 4 months, I would be more than happy to meet you guys! :) Richard
I'm a 25 year old non-smoker looking for a quiet share-house while I study at QUT. I will be moving over from Perth in early April. I keep to myself a lot at home, although wouldn't mind sharing with someone that tries to occasionally drag me out of my comfort zone. As a long term hospo worker I am no stranger to keeping (and living with someone who keeps) odd hours.
Hey. I grew up close to Brisbane. Before I went travelling overseas last year, I was working as an aviation engineer. I've just come back and am now looking for a place to stay for 3-6 months, or more, depending on where I find a job. I'm interested in many things, including other cultures, travelling and parkour, for which I am an instructor (I'm happy to explain what that is if the name means nothing to you). I appreciate a clean living environment, in the style of: If it needs cleaning, make it so (also open to a roster system). I'm quite easy going, and have had a lot of experience living with other people of all types in the last year. I think that having a good-natured and friendly relationship with your housemates is important. I'm not the best cook in the world (there's this one guy :D), but I like to cook and learn from others. Thanks for reading. Josh
Hi! My name is Olivier, I'm an international student from France and I'll be studying economics at UQ for a semester. I'm looking for a private furnished room in a student shared house. I'm an easy going, mature and sociable person. I like to discuss, cook, discover the city, having fun with others and I wouldn't mind having a beer with my share mates.
I am 24yrs and work full-time in retail. Looking for a room to rent, max rent $165/week not including bills/internet and unfurnished. I have recently graduated from QUT where i studied my masters of social work. I am reliable, super easy going, friendly and courteous. I love spending my time off out and about; the beach, hiking, going to markets, brunching, hanging out at new farm park and picnics with friends. By night i love to cook at home and watch a good netflix series with a glass of vino or seek out a new bar with delicious food and drink. I have flat shared for a number of years now and always love getting to know my housemates. I enjoy being out and about and love meeting new people - however in saying that I am not a party person and will always respect the home and your space too :)

Hi guys and gals, My name's Kris, I'm a full-time student at UQ and work part time. I enjoy music (I play guitar and produce music electronically), reading, and having the odd drink on weekends. I'm really easy-going, don't like drama, and am easy to live with. I'm looking for student accom near UQ, so if you have that or know of any, send me a message, Cheers
I am 23 and from India, would be studying at the University of Queensland from April 2017. I will be mostly at the uni doing my work and you can have the room to yourself most of the day. At other times I am fun to be with...! Witty and wise crack jokes are going to be a regular thing. I like to be tidy and keep things clean. I am pretty social and adaptable. I generally prefer to keep to my own but once I get along with someone I may talk a lot. My friends would describe me as cheerful and happy go lucky , so if you have any worries , you can share them with me and I can lighten your mood. I am looking for someone who is clean tidy and friendly. So if interested just drop a message.
Hey, my name is Tobi and i am an international exchange student from Germany. I just arrived in Brisbane 4 days ago and are now looking for a nice place to stay over the next 4 months. I am easy to live with, like to explore Australia and have fun during my time here. I am very socialized an easy to get along with. It would be great, if we could set up an inspection and we get to know each other. I am sure you will get along with me pretty well. I am looking forward to hear from you! Cheers Tobi
Hey there. I'm Hanna, 34 years old. I'm a teacher from Indonesia. I'm easy going, organized, tidy, clean and friendly. I'm into cooking and watching movies, most of the time on Netflix. I enjoy hanging out and having a chat but I also enjoy my own space. Right now I'm looking for a fully furnished room to rent for two or three months as soon as possible preferably in Woolloongabba (close to PA Hospital).
Hey Im a 30 year old professional female from Melbourne. I have recently moved to Bris to begin studying for my career change and looking for a 'home' to live in (cliche but true). I want to share a house with people who are up for a wine, dinner, chats etc. I have shared plenty of homes and spent a fair but of time time in Bris over the last four years, so have a small social network already. I am pretty easy going and enjoy the company of most people. I like to be social, but anticipate i will be pretty busy next year with studies, placements and working. Would love to chat further if i sound like someone that could fill your room! Cheers Meg - worth mentioning, i am looking for a room that is reasonably large so i can fit a desk etc in there.
Hi there! Two young guys looking for a place in the inner city. We are a couple - Corey works 30 hours a week and Sam is currently in the process of looking for work. We are laid back and chilled out. Easy going. We're looking for like minded. LGBT friendly is a must. We are both clean guys - I'm not into messy houses or people that are unable to use a vacuum or clean in general. Would rather live in a smaller shared house - not a fan of too many people living in on house!
Hey! I'm French but studying in England. I am coming to the University of Queensland for a year on exchange, where I will be contributing to a research project in Neuroscience. I have lived in five different countries, and love travelling yet have never been to Australia so am very excited to explore the city and its surroundings. I am very sociable and outgoing, love meeting new people and hope to make the most out of Brisbane! As I have been sharing flats/rooms for several years now, I do however know how to stay clean and respectful. I am hoping to find a place near central Brisbane with good connections to the St Lucia campus.
Recently graduated engineer working in the CBD. Love to gym, play soccer and touch, cook and watch movies. I am neat, organised and great at dishwashing lol.
I am a 23-years-old girl from Spain, who is going to study a 1.5-year Master on International Law in the University of Queensland. I believe that each person doing small things can make a difference. I am very open-minded, respectful, adaptable and clean. I am spontaneous person and prefer not to have everything planned. I love meeting new people, especially from different countries and cultures and learn from them. Travelling is my greatest passion and I love sharing my bagpacking stories. I am learning how to play the guitar and also photography and I would like to keep up with it in Australia. I have been doing various sports and dancing my whole life and since two years ago I am into yoga and I love it. I like cities because there are always many things to do and cultural events going on, but I also need sometimes to leave into a more calm place to connect with nature and especially I like going to the sea. Music lover, books eater and beggining of a writter. I am also a good cooker of Spanish food and I like to make meals with my flatmates. I would like to live not too far from the UQ in a vivid area and with more than one flatmate.
I am a clean, upbeat, and quiet lady who is more than content in my room doing my own thing. I work part time and to save hard for one last Europe or America round trip. I am a very friendly person, if not shy to begin with, but once you have me as a friend I am glue and there for you through thick and thin. I come with a plus one; A little year old Calico kitten called Jenga, so pet friendly house have to be must. She is fine with dogs (except puppies for some reason) and loves people. Fully trained with adorable quirks.
I am about to start my Master degree in Environmental management and sustainability at the UQ. So, I am looking for a calm nice place to live not far from the University. Sometimes I have a mood to cook some sweet things as cheesecakes and carrot cakes. Also, I am from Russia and can cook some Russian food for my flatmates and me, and teach you some Russian :). I also speak Spanish cause I have already studied abroad in Spain, and have travelled pretty much, so, can tell some funny stories about my experience. I am ok with animals as well.
The place is rustic yet clean and well-furnished. You'll enjoy two spacious patios with seating. There are many windows and doors fitted with steel mesh for safety, yet still provide a cool breeze, though ceiling fans are present as well. Half carpeted and half vinyl. All rooms include a desk and bed (your choice of single or double). Clean undamaged kitchen with lots of cupboard and fridge space. Gardening provided by landlord, you can park in the backyard or on the street as well. Quiet and friendly neighbours, including two students in the floor below (separate entrances). Short walking distance to UQ and grocery stores and an even shorter walk to Dutton Park Train Station. Bus stops nearby as well. 1 to 4 people allowed. Enquire for more info.
Hi there! ;) I am Grégoire form France. I have a master in Agrifood and have worked in a french frozen food manufacturing company during one year in the supply chain service. I have been living in Brisbane for 4 months now while studying english in order to improve my level and pass the ielts. I am now looking for a job (with my WHV) and a furnished accommodation. My budget is 200$ including all bills. I have a preference for an accommodation without a landlord/manager inside the house for the simple reason that I had to suffer extreme rules in my previous share house which were extremely stressfull (shower for less than 5min, 15min washing option only for my clothes, internet box arbitrary shut off at 10 pm in order to not have the least DEL turn on in the house, no fan nor aircond...) so if you have this kind of limitation or any curfew, please don't send me an offer, living in a relax and cool atmosphere is my priority number 1. I will be staying maximum until the end of July in Brisbane, however I have indicated a lenght of stay of 4 weeks because I don't want to be locked here if I don't find any job after one month. I'd like also to have the possibility to park a bike because I will probably do some deliveries in the meanwhile I obtain a full-time job. Otherwithe I am a chill person who like to share beers or BBQ with friends. I really like domestic animals. I am also clean and tidy for shares area and take a bit more freedom for my own room cause I don't really like when all is perfectly well-placed. Thanks for reading! :)
Hey chaps, looking to move closer to UQ sometime in the next couple of months. I have a dog named Zuri. She's a 3 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback and is possibly the most polite/friendly dog in existence. If this isn't an issue id love to hear from you! I'm currently studying environmental management at UQ and work part time at Coles in Toowong. Cheers
Hi, I'm Rode. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science/Bachelor of Science (majoring in math) at UQ. I am a tidy person and easy to get along with. I can also cook good food. I work part time at Matchbox along with pick up jobs such as babysitting and high-school math tutoring. I currently live with my mum but am keen to get out asap. I am a singer and guitar player, so I have a huge passion for music. I also surf and box.
Dreaming of hangs on the porch couch with my future roomies looking out at our pet chickens and veggie patch attempts. I am a friendly, easy-going and respectful gal. Looking for a home rather than a house. Maybe a few housemate dinners and bants here and there. Would love to contribute to a tidy, good vibes place Beginning an Arts degree at UQ this year after several years of working for The Man and gallivanting across the globe. You will generally find me drawing hearts on coffees at QUT. I appreciate the joys of a Zooper Dooper on a Sunday, market friend dates and a good Indian curry. Note - I own more cushions than furniture. I believe the more house plants the better. Food is life. Feel free to message if you have any more questions!
I am studying BArts/Journalism at UQ in 2017 but looking to transfer to BPPE in 2018. My hobbies are mainly creative, such as music and writing. If your a producer/musician looking for a roomie then your boy is ideal. I'd like to say I'm funny but so does everyone and I might suck at your niche comedy so you'll have to see. I like my alone time and respectful of others, as well as being a friendly dude.
Full-time student at UQ studying Biomedical Science/Genetics. I work part-time as a personal trainer. I would love to find housemates who don't just live together but actually become friends and can hang out have a beer/wine with or go for a run together. I spend most of my time at uni/work and love going to the beach on the weekends if I don't have work. I am very clean, tidy and respectful and am looking for similar housemates. Ideal place will have own bedroom and bathroom (unfurnished) as well as somewhere to park my car. Somewhere close-ish to UQ/city/river would be great. Let me know if you have a room which you think would be a good match!
21, working as a full time Office Manager for Serviced Offices. I have lived in my share house for three years now, I'm wanting to downsize from a house to just my own room, or a flexible lease as I am wanting to leave for travel in a few months. I have always loved living with roommates, Female, Male, couples, you name it. I do my best to live in harmony with my roomies, while forming friendships. My home is my sanctuary, I don't do drama. I have furniture (couches and outdoor table) only if it's needed of course. Otherwise I am super easy going and always clean up after myself. I am only looking to move out at the end of March 2017, thanks!
I am currently working full time as an accountant. My current lease is about to expire where, I have kept a clean and tidy apartment by myself. I am currently looking for a clean and accommodating place to live. I look forward to getting to know my potential housemates.
I'm pretty clean tidy and easygoing, respect the others.no bad hobby.usually do some sports like swimming, yoga, cycling, badminton, pingpong hiphop in my spare life.
I’m a med PhD/ neuroscientist recently back from the states for a sabbatical. I’m House trained and clean but not at all anal. I read a lot though I'm not a homebody, I work normal hours in an incubator space. I love to hang out, cook (once a souse chef), philosophize over a glass of wine and have a bit of fun preferably with, empathic, humble, self-aware, progressive, respectful people. I’m pretty chill and easy going but passionate and engaged with the world. I’m a scientist but still very much a people person and like to think I’m more thoughtful than reactive. If I’m what you’re looking for, give me a yell, it'd be cool to hear more about you guys and see the place. Troy
