This beautiful Queenslander is conveniently located. With UQ a 15 minute walk across the green bridge (or a 10 min bike ride, if that's more your thing), South Bank and West End a hop, skip, and jump away, and the Brisbane CBD a 15 minute bus ride, you really couldn't find a better place! The landlord & landlady are lovely and along with internet and water, monthly mowing of the lawn is included in the rent. Speaking of a lawn- it's HUGE! You could get yourself an inflatable pool for a hot day or just lounge on the chairs that come with the house. The four bedrooms up for grabs are: 1) A moderately large en-suite with aircon, wardrobe, desk and chair, and double bed provided - *$240/wk 2) Another generous sized room with pedestal fan, wardrobe, desk and chair and double bed provided - *$215/wk 3) A smaller room with a desk. Mattress can be provided or removed if you prefer. Could easily fit a double bed - *$185/wk LEASED 4) The last room comes with a chest of drawers and ceiling fan. Double mattress provided (though can be removed if you prefer) - *$180/wk LEASED The main thing to remember is that there's plenty of furniture available below the house to store or use. So you could bring some of your own furniture to use or use something that's available. House comes with the works - washing machine, stove/oven, microwave, steam iron, vacuum cleaner, and aircon in the living, kitchen, and en-suite. You will need to set up an electricity account with origin and split the bills between yourselves. Moving date is negotiable to some extent, message for individual room details. Hit us up if you're interested! This is a great place, but we're leaving and we need someone to take over our lease! xx
I am Danish girl studying at UQ and I can't wait to experience study life and Brisbane! I wish to live with other people and be a part of a shared house that like to socialise and get to know eachother. It is important to me that the house is clean and nice, and I don't hesitate helping out with that. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Starting my masters in environmental management and I'm also working part time as a barista. Love my music and basketball. I'm really good at doing my dishes and helping around the house and I'm always down for chats and hang outs. Hope to hear from you! Paddy
I'm an exchange student from Austria and studying at QUT for the second semester of 2017. I'm easy going and friendly. I like to socialize but sometimes need some time for myself as well. I like being outside, to go for hikes or for walks and I love food. I'm looking for a home with nice people where I can feel comfortable.
Will be working full-time. Divided between Brisbane Arts Theatre and a theatre job on the Gold Coast. Close to the train and/or bus-line is a must. Very friendly and adaptable, but will always respect and expect the need for privacy. Also extremely clean, and find it hard to live in messy households. Always up for conversation, dinner, drinks etc. to make good vibes! Feel free to message if I fit your requirements!
Hello! I am 22, Indian and new to Brisbane. Starting my postgrad this Semester at UQ. Easy going, homely and fun but sucker for some personal space too . Looking for a private room (ensuite preferably) Hoping to meet some lovely people to bond and chat with! Cheers xx
I am a third PhD student, as well as working part time. I work long hours and am quiet when I am home as this is my relax time. I occassionally like friends to visit. My boyfriend would also stay occassional nights. Pet friendly.
Terrace House, tidy, aircon, net, close to everything. It's only 3km from City, Uni hospitals. Bus and Park Rd train station at end of street. Cleaner comes once a fortnight so no one squabbles over cleaning and it gets done (it's paid for so not an extra bill ontop of rent) but happy to consider a weekly clean. Room is airy and light. Sad yes only 1 bathroom atm (but it's massive) and hope to add one in downstairs mid next year. There's a garden out the back (the best city views are out there) and a private courtyard.
Im in my late 30s, studying at the QCA, and working as a life drawing model and in hospitality. Generally pretty busy. Try to get a bit of yoga or walking in regularly, keep abreast of global politics and social justice, & enjoy a good discussion over coffee/beer/wine! My 8 year old son stays with me two nights per week. He's a chilled out kid with good manners, into gaming, lego etc. Im looking for a quiet place with room enough for me to set up an art/study space.
We are a down to earth couple looking for accommodation around September this year once our lease is up! Sam and I love a good chinwag and are originally kiwis who have been on the Sunshine Coast for the past few years. Iesha: currently at griffith uni & working two jobs Sam: bar supervisor in brisbane cbd The two of us are laid back and if you’ve got a decent Spotify playlist or can appreciate almost all genres we are bound to get along. We recently got two ragdoll x kittens that are very affectionate and will be moving with us, wherever we go! If Sam and I aren’t spending time with the cats then we’ll be eating out somewhere in the city. Ideally, we are looking to move into a place with someone/people that are willing to socialise with us and not hide away in their room 24/7, but we understand and respect personal space. Additionally, we expect our home to reflect our personalities so a tidy house (where everyone helps out) is a must. Overall, we’re just two peas in a pod that are low maintenance, easy going and looking for a decent set of housemates to live and do fun stuff with. Shoot us a message if we sound like possible additions to your family or if you have any other questions! We look forward to hearing from anyone who managed to get to the end of this very long ad lol
Young couple keen to find another couple to live with on the southside but close to the CBD. One of us studies while the other works in the film industry. Keen on weekend adventures but can be quiet and respectful when needed. Always up for a social beverage and we love doggos. After a house or townhouse not an apartment.
Hey, my name is Maya. I'm 22 years old and am in my forth year of a Marketing/Journalism degree at UQ. I am a clean person who will always contribute to household duties. I enjoy cooking (so socialising over dinners would be great!), a bit of reading, and live a fairly active lifestyle. I'm originally from the Sunny Coast so I try go up there when I'm not busy with uni and work. I work at the Lorna Jane head office in Eagle Farm. I am looking to live with people who are fun and enjoyable to be around. People who don't mind having a laugh. I will also give you your own personal space - because I know that I'll sometimes want that in return. If you want any other info please message me! If you think I would suit the dynamic of your house I would love to meet you and check the place out. Thanks :) Maya.
Hey guys! First thing first you need to be a woofer person. I have two pups who are super friendly and well trained. I'm an easy going, laid back lady with a full time job as events manager in south bank. I like to chill out and meet new people. I am always down for a beverage and would love a place where we can hang out with a few drinks or go on a massive Netflix binge. I am also conscious of others who want some space and alone time. I would love to find flatmates who share similar ideas! Looking for a place in September, ideally with a big backyard and nice deck to chill on in the summer. Would love to team up and find a cracker place together and make a nice little home ☺️ 🐶🐶
I am a very sociable Film student currently attending the film school in Southbank. I am extremely kind and caring, I like to live in a place where its like my home. I treat everyone and everything with respect because I definitely would appreciate it being reciprocated. I'm a perfectionist in my art as well as my lifestyle, - so I will always take care of the general common areas, I'll even take care of others cleaning if need be. Just looking for a really friendly environment, open communication and just a good time all day errday. I look forward to meeting you.
Hi! My name is Sarah. I am 25 and I am a veterinarian on the south side of Brisbane. I am looking for someone fun, friendly and respectful to live with. When I am not at work I like to go running, spend a lot of time outdoors and spend time with friends. I am clean and I am considerate towards the people we are living with. I also have a small cat so ideally looking for somewhere where she can be outside. Please message me if you have any questions :)
Hey there. I'm studying masters at UQ St. Lucia. My current accomodation is near UQ and would like to move to some new place around SEPTEMBER. I'm friendly, social and funny guy. Looking for nice guy/guys/gal/gals to move in with. Cleanliness is must. Ping me to know more or share house with me. Cheers.
We are looking for a house mate before moving into a house. We are a very quiet, clean and respectful couple. Happy to have a chat, but respectful of personal space. We work mostly from home. We are non smokers, and non drinkers. We don't like to party. We like pets, and plants. I have a small fish, which I can keep safe from cats. I have a hearing problem which means that TV in public spaces will be difficult for me, especially since I will be working mostly from home. Looking for own bathroom.
I'm 20 and a student at UQ studying Business Management and Psychology as well as work casual. I am very clean, friendly and always up for a chat. I enjoy the beach, mountains etc as well as partying occasionally. I have a car so it would be ideal if there was a garage or at least parking on the street outside. Would prefer a furnished room. Am looking to move in for 6 months :)
Currently studying medical science majoring in nutritional science with CQU via distance education. Work for Queensland rail travel onboard long distance trains casually, so this means I am rarely home. Originally from Rockhampton, moved down to Brisbane about 6 months ago for work. I am self sustaining, ex chef so can cook and look after myself. Like to be social sometimes but mainly stuck infront of a computer studying.
