I am very relax as person. I am beauty therapist and remedial massage therapist myself working at spa in Brisbane. so quiet busy with work and school (I work weekend sometimes too). The only thing I am requesting to my new house is, I sometimes take friend/ old clients to my house for beauty treatment. so sometimes I need privacy during the period of time ( 30min maximum, I have a separation too.) Any question, free to ask. Myself: I am a 30 something year old who is friendly, fun and relaxed. I am originally from Tokyo but have called Australia my home for 8 years and love the Broncos! I am clean but not obsessive, and like to be friendly but I am also respectful of your privacy. My last flatmate describes me as very laid back so there won't be a lot of drama. I enjoy having a chat about our days when we come home during the week, on weekends I am usually out and about with friends. I love to watch pretty much every sport, enjoy travelling, socialising and cooking. I am looking for someone friendly, responsible, and laid back.
Hi, my name is Alex, I am from Vienna, Austria and I am going to move to Australia at the end of January. Therefore, I am looking for a room in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Briefly about myself: I study molecular biology at the University of Vienna and I am going to work on a research project at the University of Queensland. I have been living in Vienna for five years now, although my home town is in the southern region of Austria quite close to the Italian border. I like running, swimming, hiking, traveling and hanging out with friends. I appreciate a nice meal in a witty company, and I enjoy conversations and spending time with nice people. However, I also like to spend quiet evenings on my own. I am easy going, open-minded, friendly, sociable and interested in many topics (science, technology, nature, traveling, cuisine, music, sports, arts). I am accustomed to flat sharing, plus I am neat, clean and not a gadfly. I stay in Brisbane from the end of January to the beginning of May. So, if you are interested in having me as a flatmate, I would be happy to hear from you. Cheers, Alex
Hello everybody. My name is Charles and I'm from Brazil. I have just arrived in Brisbane for a 8-month course at the UQ. I'm a very tidy and organised person. I'm looking for a peaceful and pleasant pace for living. I hope to find a place to live the 8 months that I'll stay in the city. I appreciate privacy, but I also like to share some moments with the people I'm living with. Cheers
Hi, I'm a third year Bachelor of Music (Honours) student at the University of Queensland. I like to cook from scratch and come with all kinds of spices and lots of oats and chia seeds. I'm a composition major, writing both musical theatre and film music and am interested in acting and filmmaking. I come with Foxtel and Netflix if you're keen for a little binge or a good film, love a chat, (and respectful of space), but I also work a lot from home and need a large enough room to fit in a desk so I can compose during the day and night. Also in need of a large built in wardrobe to fit costumes in. I also play the cello and sing regularly for an organisation that helps end homelessness and run UQ Jams weekly throughout the semester, teaching and helping other people participate in cross-style/cultural improvisation. Looking to do this at a special school for teenagers with disabilities.
The house is nice, most of people that has been living in the house are students at UQ. The bedroom comes with a double bed and nice mattress, chest of drawers and a desk to study. 1. 15 min walking away from UQ 2. the bus stop is 2 min away walking. 3. Supermarket(Coles, Aldi) 5 min away by bus. 4. Nice flatmates.
Hey! A little about me... I've just finished my 3rd year of a psychology degree at Griffith Uni (Mt Gravatt campus). I'll be starting honours next year which I'm pretty excited about! I'm looking for a quiet, peaceful, relaxing home where I can recharge and chill. I'm a friendly person with a good sense of humour who enjoys a chat and a laugh, but I usually like to quietly do my own thing when I'm at home. I tend to spend lots of time in my room studying! (Super exciting, I know!) For fun, I perform improvised theatre which I've been doing for a year. I'm a non-smoker and would prefer to live with other non-smokers. I'm also allergic to cats, so I sadly have to avoid homes with cats in them. :( I'm a respectful, considerate, and reliable person who always pays the rent/bills on time and tidies up after myself.
Full time UQ student studying medicine. From New Zealand. Hobbies include running, kickboxing, rockclimbing, gaming, Netflix and reading. Tidy, quiet, clean, friendly, non-smoker. I am looking for a place close to Greenslopes Private Hospital.
I am looking for a place I call home in early January. Ideally I would prefer to share with like-minded conscious people, who try to live a somewhat sustainable lifestyle (I am by no means perfect, but I do try, and have not quite reached the fully vegetarian stage!) Pets are fine, as long as I don't have to look after them! I am fairly sociable and laid-back, young at heart and I can certainly be chatty but I do like and need my quiet alone time, and privacy. I work (almost) full-time at UQ and I often have extra-curricular activities in the evening (mainly yoga classes). During the week I am usually in bed around 9pm(ish!). I am looking for somewhere fairly quiet (i.e. not on a main road) and well, reasonably clean yet relaxed. Ideally I would like somewhere that has ample extra storage (i.e. under the house) for my camping gear, bicycle and art stuff. A bit (or more) of yard is essential, I do enjoy a wee bit of gardening here and there when time allows and I like growing my own herbs. Also, I do like to paint (ideally I'd like enough space to make art, either in my room or in a basement) and I also enjoy cooking. And being able to sit around the firepit would be a bonus! Also, I really want to be walking distance from UQ (and not the St Lucia side) so no time-wasters please!
Hey I'm Nat! I'm 25 years old, from Melbourne and am going to be in Brisbane playing football from the 5th Jan to late April. I'm very laid back, clean and tidy, like a chat but also keep to myself a lot. I won't be up late partying or anything like that - training will be six days per week so that will take up most of my afternoons and weekends, and I will be travelling some weekends for games. Shoot me a message if this sounds good to you!
Enjoy surfing, travel, yoga, cooking, conversation, outdoorsy stuff. Neat and tidy. Easy going. Comes with quite possibly the most mellow handsome 9 year old black Labrador ever. Social but value my own space. Full time employment as an engineering draftsman.
I'm looking to move into a place near Brisbane City with a housemate/s as easy going as I am! I study and work a lot so I am barely at home, however when I've got an afternoon off I like to chill out with a wine and Netflix or head to a local music gig. Really don't mind if you're a guy or girl, would just love to live alongside someone considerate, tidy and like-minded. I enjoy socialising but if keeping to yourself is your thing I'm respectful of space and privacy. Happy to either move into an existing share house or team-up and find our own place. Hoping to fill a master bedroom with an ensuite. Shoot me a message to chat about potential living arrangements!
I'm Victoria, I'm 19 but very mature and from Noosa, Sunny Coast. I'm planning to study a dual engineering degree in 2019 at UQ. I enjoy spending time with friends, reading, days at the beach, and my Netflix account. I'm easy to get along with, and love meeting and making connections with new people. I'm not overly noisy or distracting and I always keep my space neat and clean. I prioritize my studies and respect others personal space but I do enjoy a drink/movie/night out with friends on the weekend :) I have a hypoallergenic small dog that I would be thrilled to have with me but not a requirement. He is housetrained and very quiet. He doesn't shed at all and is super cuddly. However, he is able to stay with my parents on the sunshine coast so this is not a requirement!
I like to think that I am a pretty chilled person and very easy to live with! I am incredibly friendly, have a great sense of humor and easy going personality. I Love to cook and considered myself somewhat of a Masterchef wannabe so I’m always happy to cook for others. I clean up after myself and am happy to share in household chores. I study nursing fulltime and work in a dementia unit which can be quiet intense at times but I do find it very rewarding - I have been there for 3 years now so I think that really says something. I am currently on medical leave after emergency surgery so taking things easy. I enjoy having a friendly interaction with those i live with and it is important to me that potential housemates would want the same. MOVING TIME FRAME My current living arrangement ends the week before Christmas however I am flexible if needing to move sooner / later. - My household items are currently in storage and I can stay with friends for a week or two if there is an overlap. LEASE LENGTH Ideally I would like to secure a long term lease as I HATE moving :) but I am flexible HOUSE CONTENTS I am currently paying to keep my household contents in a storage unit so it would be great to find a place where i could bring my furniture or with some space to store - however I am flexible [Bedroom furniture, 6 month old medium sized L shape couch, fridge & washing machine] MOST IMPORTANTLY I am a dachshund mama so unfortunately if you are not a dog person or you are unable to accept pets than I’m definitely not the right person. My two little critters are exceptionally well adjusted to indoor life and are definitely house trained as we have lived in both apartments with balconies and no outdoor access (they have been taught to use an artificial grass toilet and puppy pads for any inside emergencies) For the last couple of months we have been staying in an unsuitable residence (stairs with no gate, unsecured outdoor fence etc) so they have been restricted to my bedroom other than when I take them out for toileting and playtime so it is really important to me that my next home gives them some more space. LD is 12yrs and has had two major spinal operations so he loves to spend his days sunbaking and sleeping although his 7year old little sister Asher makes him play every now and then. Anytime that i need to be away from home for a prolonged period - i arrange for them to go on a sleepover so housemates would never need to worry about having to care for them.
Hey everyone! I am looking for someone to take over my lease from anytime in December at Rawnsley Street, Dutton Park. The lease will end on 15th February 2019. You can choose to extend the lease further if you wish to. I'm offering a discounted rent of $170 per week so this is an absolute bargain. RENT INCLUDES ALL BILLS + UNLIMITED HIGH SPEED INTERNET! The room comes fully furnished with a single bed, a high-power pedestal fan, a study table, a huge closet and a shelf (or two if you need more). The house also comes with all necessary utilities for common use, a flat screen TV, two fridges, a washing machine, a microwave, an oven, a vacuum cleaner, an iron, you name it! You get to have your own bathroom and toilets! There is also plenty of storage space in the house + a store room! This place was an absolute bargain for me due to its central location. It is a very easy walk or bike ride to UQ which takes about 5 minutes and about a 10 minutes ride to South Bank where you will have access to many different facilities. The 5 minutes walk to the two nearest train stations, Park Road and Dutton Park station, is super convenient to get around to explore the city.
I am a master's student looking to live in a home with other students. I like to be active outdoors and cooking at home. I like to have smaller social gatherings, and won't be looking to throw parties. I'm hoping to find others with similar interests to share a home with. I like to be within a biking distance to UQ.
Howzit I’m Fraser, I have an eternal love for all things sports and competition so I am always down for card games, monopoly, or computer games. I go to UQ and just finished my third year and am looking to move a bit closer to campus. I’ve had experience living in a share house with 11 other people before during my time living in South Africa 🇿🇦 I am always happy to do my share of the work/cleaning. Always down for a chat. (I put 6 months as a minimum range)
LOOKING FOR HOME TO MOVE INTO IN 2019 FEB OR LATER. I will be looking for a home in Brisbane to move into in 2019 February or later as I begin my psychology degree at UQ at the end of February. I'm currently on the Gold Coast. Looking for a home: • Close to UQ in St Lucia (closer the better) • With a large size room with lots of natural light, a ceiling fan and at least big enough for a double bed, bedside table, large desk, mirror, couple wardrobes and storage spaces. • With yard or deck areas that get a decent amount of direct sun all throughout the day. • With undercover parking preferred • With nearby public transport to and from UQ, fortitude valley, and the city preferred About me: I'm positive and ambitious, and both a respectful and open person :) I'm very health conscious and make all my own healthy meals which are wholefood plant based. I'm down for cooking for others 😁💖 I do aerial acrobatics and yoga, love nature and making friends. Things I'm most passionate about in life are eco-sustainability, nutrition, fitness, mental wellness and personal development. 😊😄😁💪🏼💗
