I am a Happy Healthy Hippy chick originally from central NSW. Im vegan and health-conscious but not a Nazi about anyone elses diet (You do you, boo). About to commence my clinical counselling placement with an amazing organisation in Stones corner. So I guess somewhere relaxed and quiet-ish and even in that area would be great. I am a member of the LGBTI community and would ideally like to live with the same or people who are supportive and ok with who I am. Also currently completing my postgrad in Psychology. About to start my clinical placement. So a quiet place would be ideal. I am a reliable, tidy, outgoing and positive peep. my "partying" days are extinct but still head out now and again. Did i mention I bake on the weekends??? As mentioned, I am also a member of the LGBTI rainbow ... so you will need to be respectful and open to that. Cant wait to chat! Ps i am ideally looking for a room with an ensuite or my own bathroom but am aware thats not always possible ... my weekly budget is also bills inclusive and can be upsized if something is amazing. Please no dodgy boarding houses masquerading as share places ... and please no 3 am messages. pps i am also not comfortable with living with couples, single straight males, or a shared room ... I guess i wouldnt want to be a total third wheel. Sorry ! Ditto with random SMS from people telling me about their room or ppl contacting me with hevily overpriced rooms. Im not really looking to subsidize your rent and its so unethical to position yourself that way. I find these "group inspections" a real turn off also. If you arent capable of setting aside 20 minutes to show me around one-on-one? then that shows me alot. i guess if im interested i will get in contact. thanks! I also dont post my face online as I often attract creepy weirdos ... Sad right?
This studio apartment is perfect for a couple wanting to get their own space, or even friends who are happy sharing a room. There are 2 large rooms, 1 coming off the kitchen (which is brand new with gas stove) and another in between the kitchen and bathroom. The apartment also has access to a very large 'rainforesty' type back yard which would be perfect to have a sit out under a tree during summer... or even winter if this crazy heat keeps up! The apartment WILL come fully furnished with lounges, TV, queen bed and linen, desk, wardrobes etc. The kitchen will also fully functional with pots and pans, knifes and forks. The location is great either for UQ uni students or those who want to be close by to the good time that is west end, with both being about a 20mins walk away! Sorry for the lack of unfurnished photos, however they will be updated asap.
This is a beautiful queenslander, and your room is ready to be rented NOW! It's a stone's throw away from UQ and is in walking distance to bus and train stations. The Buranda village is nearby as well, for all your grocery and takeaway needs, as is the PA Hospital. It's also just a 10 minute bus ride to both South Bank and West End and a 15 minute bus ride into the city! Convenience of location isn't even the best part; with a huge lawn and all furniture inculded (although furniture can be removed if you'd like to use your own), this beauty has everything you'd require- air conditioning (in your room and the living areas), stove and oven, microwave, washing machine, steam iron, and rice cooker. If this sounds like a place you'd like to live in, shoot me a message! Rent may be negotiable for the right person. It's a lovely place but we've moved out and need somebody to take over the lease. Look forward to hearing from you! Xx
Looking for a spacious, bright room somewhere within biking distance to the botanical gardens, until the end of the year. Vego, don't smoke, international PhD student, love animals so happy to move to a place with pets present. I'm not highly social but enjoy a good conversation, watching a movie or having dinner or a drink with housemates, but definitely also like to keep to myself in the evenings and chill during the week.
Hi, my name's Steph and I'm looking for some friendly, chilled people to share a home away from home with. I'm pretty busy with studies/work, so I have a nice balance going at the moment of work/study/social life....although less of the latter lately. I'm studying a Masters of Primary Teaching and in my spare time I like to read, watch movies, catchup with friends for coffee and explore all the beautiful places Brisbane has to offer. I'm looking for some like minded peeps who enjoy a household chat here and there, but are also cool to do the independent thing.
Hi there, we're looking for two new housemates to move in by or around the 4th of September (2 weeks) into this leafy share house on deighton road, dutton park. It's a very social house, with plenty of movies, cooking, music and pals around, so we're looking for people to shoot the shit with but there's also quiet chill time. The backyard has massive party potential, with a trampoline, and there's loads of space under the house to store things, but also set up a chill space with some spare couches. There's a shared sunroom, so if you need a space for a desk; to work, study or craft, that's A-OKAY, but also a spare bed if someone needs to crash. The shower has sublime water pressure, the stove's gas, the vibe chill. Looking for people who will leave their mark, not their mess. Communism is, I mean communication is key so we need to be able to talk any problems out. Some more practical info, the room pictured is $150, also a slightly smaller room available which isn't pictured for $145. We'll be signing a new lease for either 6 months or a year. Bond is 600 + 2 weeks upfront. Couples welcome, but it's definitely more comfortable with 3 and rent would be a bit higher. Unfortunately there's no pets allowed by the real estate, but if they melt my heart, maybe. Rooms are unfurnished, the rest of the house is, but always open to new things. Bills are not included, but we could work out a weekly fund so things are let overwhelming when they arrive. So if you're interested, please send me a message with a bit about yourselves. I'm going to be having people through for the next few days, with the option of moving stuff under the house, if not in starting next week. Looking forward to hearing from you, Hannah (Hans)
Hey, I'm coming from the UK on a work placement for three months from October until Christmas this year. I'm a scientist who'll be at CSIRO working full time but having never been to Queensland, I'll be wanting to see the city (and beyond!) during evenings & weekends. I'm fairly clean and tidy to live with - I like a beer, watching sport, reading, movies - all the normal stuff really. I also like being out in the natural world (I'm a wildlife conservation scientist) so hiking and birdwatching are my thing. Cheers
Hey. I grew up close to Brisbane. I work as a full-time aviation engineer, after taking a break last year travelling overseas. I'm currently looking for another sharehouse for 6 months or more, as the one I'm in at the moment is disbanding. I'm interested in many things, including other cultures, travelling and parkour, for which I am an instructor (I'm happy to explain what that is if the name means nothing to you). I appreciate a clean living environment, in the style of: If it needs cleaning, make it so (also open to a roster system). I'm quite easy going, and have had a lot of experience living with other people of all types in the last year. I think that having a good-natured and friendly relationship with your housemates is important. I'm not the best cook in the world (there's this one guy :D), but I like to cook and learn from others. Thanks for reading. Josh
26 years old UQ postgrad / part-time finance professional, who is keen on meeting with new people. I'm an easy-going and friendly person, who likes both watching and doing sports (swimming and cycling at the moment). I spend most of my time out of the house somewhere in between uni / work / nature. Initially, I am looking for a room for about 4 months, but potentially would stay much longer.
Hey! I'm French but currently studying in England and am coming to the University of Queensland for a year on exchange, where I will be contributing to a research project in Neuroscience. I have lived in five different countries, and love travelling yet have never been to Australia so am very excited to explore the city and its surroundings. I am very sociable and outgoing, love meeting new people and hope to make the most out of Brisbane! As I have been sharing flats/rooms for several years now, I do however know how to stay clean and respectful. I am hoping to find a place near central Brisbane with good connections to the St Lucia campus.
Hello, I am a full-time UQ Social work student. I am friendly, respectful and like things clean, tidy and organised (except for weekends) ;) I am easy going and like to make new friends :) If you feel I fit into your house rules, contact me ASAP. Cheers to all :)
I am a full time student at QUT studying IT. I easily get along with people and usually keep to myself during busy study days. Tidy, Vegetarian, Non-Smoker Looking for a 6 month stay or maybe even 1 year Not much of a party animal, so i prefer a quite and friendly place to live in but don't mind doing something with the housemates over the weekends
Young couple keen to find another couple to live with on the southside but close to the CBD. One of us studies while the other works in the film industry. Keen on weekend adventures but can be quiet and respectful when needed. Always up for a social beverage and we love doggos. After a house or townhouse not an apartment.
Hey, I'm very clean, organised and super reliable. Also, I'm a calm person and very easy to get along with. I love to cook and greatly enjoy books, music and movies. Parties are not really my thing though. What brings me to Brisbane? - I'm a 22-year old student approaching the end of my masters degree. From october to the end of march I'm going to be doing a research internship at UQ and since I'm not a local, I'm looking for a place to live. A room in a shared house with 2-3 flatmates or a small flat for myself located close to the UQ campus would be perfect. Preferably, the room should also be furnished, because I'll be flying in Oct 6th and won't have any furniture in Brisbane. That's because, in fact, I'm from Germany. Despite me featuring an unusual accent, english communication really shouldn't be an issue though. Quite the contrary I hope! I'm so looking forward to getting to know you and your city! Cheers, Felix
I am a civil engineer in road construction and a casual Uber driver, and am usually, either, training, out photographing stuff, travelling or working. I am rather social, but I can also be quite elusive, depending on my work schedule. I am quite heavily-tattooed, I do not take drugs, am single and am open for a drink, every so often, but am far passed the heavy 'partying' scene. I'm looking for a diverse household, preferably a larger house with a deck and backyard, as I quite enjoy relaxing outside with a cup of coffee on my weekend mornings! I am looking for something furnished and close to the southern side of the river - I've got quite the nest egg around there, so the closer, the better! Also, if you've got animals, that's a huge plus for me. My current situation is temporary and am wanting to find something more permanent towards the end of early August. Feel free to message me - I'm usually quick to respond!
Hi, I'm Luke. I'm a 25 year old Engineering student in my final year of study, looking for a room to rent until the years end, potentially extended further. (Depending on if I get my preferred job in the city) I'm a non-smoker, I enjoy the occasional night out once every few weeks but not much of a party person. I rock climb (not particularly well), ride my bike to uni (and would like to continue to do so) and am always up for a game of Cards Against Humanity or Counterstirke/AOE2. I'm a fairly quite guy, I am neat and tidy around the house, not much of a cook but I enjoy barbecuing on my Weber. I currently work causal night shifts 3 times a week (including occasionally on weekends), 5pm - 1am for an after-hours medical service. Would require space to park my car (off-street or on-street is fine, but no metered parking).
I am a PhD student of conservation biology at UQ, I like doing sports, gym, climbing, playing tennis, going outdoors, camping, and recently learning to surf. I have a car so I would like to find a place with a place to park my car.
Hey! I'm a joiner from germany, currently settled in Brisbane. I'm looking for a nice place with some nice people to hang out. I'm tidy, open minded and easy going.
Hey guys, i'm super tidy, and always respectful of any set rules in the property. I won't bother you, but in saying that i'm always down for a chat. I like my music, but you will never hear it coming from my room! If you drink/smoke etc (or don't like either) that's not a worry. I am a Dominos delivery EXPERT, so that means discount pizza for you. I also enjoy rock climbing.
My partner and I are looking for a room in a share house. I like to make my own vodka and occasionally beer (which of course everyone in the house will be welcome to enjoy!)... I am a uni student, studying psychology. My partner is a chef. In our last share house we loved having food nights where he would cook a feast for the whole house.

Hey there! I recently came back from travelling around South America for 7 months and now have a full-time job in the CBD. Looking for a place with easy access to the city to settle down for the next 6 to 12 months. I'm pretty friendly and relaxed to live with. I like to keep things clean and tidy. In the week I'm quiet and like to get home, have a chat about my day, cook dinner and watch a movie or whatever. On the weekend I'm more social and like to go out for drinks or sometimes have people over. Not a huge party animal though. The rest of the time I'll be at work, gym, bike riding, studying or reading. Looking to move in at the beginning of September. So if you would like to team up to get an apartment together or if you are looking for a new flatmate send me a message ;)
