Hi, I’m Lily!! I work full-time, but during my spare time and on the weekends, I like to chill at home, go to the gym, go to the markets or shopping. I do enjoy the occasional glass of wine with good company, as well as looking after my many plants. I am looking for a girl to find an apartment with. Preferably with similar interests and hobbies but can also respect boundaries and alone time. I have a one-year old cat (her name is Zelda) that will be coming along too. I have a few pieces of furniture, kitchen supplies and decorative pieces too. I’m looking to move in around November 23rd, as my lease ends on the 28th of November. Please feel free to message me 😊
Hi Potential New Housemate, My name is John, I'm a 24yrs old Dutch guy who's in Australia since May 2018. To give you an impression of my time in Australia I decided to devide my stay here into periods: - May 2018 - October 2018 The first five months of my stay I have traveled the whole continent by car, together with a friend of mine. After he went back to Amsterdam I decided to stay in Australia for a longer time. - October 2018 - May 2019 To make this possible I had to fulfill my 88 days of farmwork requirements, which I did in the Sunshine Coast. I lived together with the couple Tommy & Jon (40+) in The Glass House Mountains for seven months. A one week AirBnb-stay turned into a small gay household for more than seven months, the best period of my life! - May 2019 - November 2019 Back home in The Netherlands I have worked as an IKEA Sales man for 4 years, so it was an easy step to work for IKEA in Brisbane as well. As soon as my farmwork requirements were fulfilled and my Visa extension was approved I moved to Camp Hill, Brisbane. I've worked as a CheckOut coworker for 6 months at IKEA Logan. - November 2019 - Future At the moment I'm working as a Sales Coworker again at IKEA North Lakes. I'm living in the beautiful area of Lutwyche together with my housemate. Unfortunately the lease of our appartent will run out in January 2020, so I need to search for another place to live for the last 4,5 months of my stay in Australia. My contract at IKEA North Lakes is 40+ hours, what means that I'm away for work a lot. I have my own car as well, so that makes me fully independant. At the moment I've a 24hrs / fortnight contract as a Sales Co-Worker at IKEA Logan. Although this is not a full time contract, I am taking over a lot of shifts from my colleagues. So I will be away for work a lot. I have my own car as well, so fully independant during my stay in Australia. I'm aiming for a place to stay at the Northside of the river where I can stay till the end of my Visa period (May 2020). Are you the potential housemate who can offer that? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About myself: My spare time consist of a lot of social activities, because I like to catch up with people and learn from them. I'm not a party type at all, but am always in for a casual drink and a chat. That's also the reason that I don't want to live by myself. It's simply too boring. Unfortunately it's still a necessity to mention nowadays.... I'm gay. All my former housemates were very open minded and also accepted me to invite friends to come over for a casual drink and a sleepover every now and then. Please know that I'm someone with a 'professional'-mindset, what means that I am aware of my housemates, their privacy and happy to adjust myself where possible. It's common sense for me to take part in the house hold tasks. A clean and tidy environment is a must for me. Maybe a bit stereotypical, but that's why I rather live with professionals than with students. I'm very curious what you think about my background and my vision of life. Preferably I want to move in as soon as possible, but am open to dates a little bit further in the future. Wanna grab a coffee to discuss the possibilities? Would like to hear from you. Dutch greetings, Gr. John
Hi there I am a Yoga Teacher from Melbourne and have just moved to Brissy. Ideally, I am loving New Farm, Teneriffe and West End as suburbs that look ideal to live in I would prefer to live with a professional who works more a 9 - 5pm as I work more evenings and we could have space to ourselves, but still enjoy each others company when the time is right. I would prefer someone over the age of 30, just to be closer to maturity and life experiences. I have a car so will need some sort of parking, and am happy with any pets that might be living with you. I have no furniture with me whatsoever, so will need a fully furnished bedroom, or just a double/queen size bed with a wardrobe is fine to start with. I come with a suitcase of clothes, and my sunny disposition :-) If you think we are a roommate match, please send me a message. I really am looking to live in a home, not student accommodation, nor someone who owns a house and is looking for several tenants to fill all the rooms.
Hi, I am relocating from Sydney to Brisbane on the 13/11/19 for work purposes. I am a 34 year old male Australian whom will be working on the Cross City Rail Project (in house Legal Counsel - Lawyer) with our offices initially in Eagle Farm but eventually we will be in the Project Office in the CBD. I will be pretty busy with the Project during the week apart from that I enjoy running, exercise, fuse-ball, hiking. I am fairly social/talkative but respect peoples privacy. I do enjoy meeting people for food outings etc or a light sunday sesh but I am pretty much done with the big nights as I just dont recover like I used too :), I am neat and tidy. I am looking for accommodation medium to long term. I own my apartment in Sydney in which I am renting out furnished so I am coming to Brisbane fairly light luggage wise. Feel free to contact myself if you need any other info or perhaps something available. Thanks, Damian
Hey my name is Dave. I am about to move to brissy as a result of a recent work transfer. I am looking for a long term place and work full time. Originally from the gold coast I enjoy surfing, gym, motorbikes and fishing. I'm physically active and I like to eat healthy but never hesitnt on a beer. I've lived out of home since the age of 17 and i understand what's expected of a good house mate. I have a great rental record and I'm a government employee. Im super easy going and I'm looking to move into a place with someone like minded.
Howdy, I am Jared and moving back up to Brisbane in December. I work in the mines doing emergency services on a FIFO week on week off roster. I like to spend my free time outdoors at the beach, hiking or at the gym. I am a very active and healthy person and enjoy cooking. I am very reliable, clean, honest and considerate and would definitely like my future housemate/s to be the same. Seeing as I’m not around half the time I’m not looking to spend a large amount on a room. If you are someone that would prefer a FIFO worker and willing to drop the rent a little, do let me know! Potential for a long term arrangement if I get along with my future roomies!
I'm an easy going person, I practice sports every day and I love to cook with friends. When I have free time I prefer to make BBQ and to drink whit friends or go to the beach than hang out to some night clubs like in the valley for example. Actually, I used to drink and smoker, BUT since last year I prefer to do " healthy things " LOL.., but I don't see any problem if the guys do it or invite me to go, why not! I'm looking for a single room and I do not like noises when I'm resting at night, also I do not disturb anyone in their moment of rest, I'm living here in Australia for 3 years but I'm a shy person when I have to speak in English, maybe because I believe my English isn't enough yet, I guess lol...Anyway, If you have one room available, please let me know I'll be very grateful for it and it will be a pleasure to get to know a new person here. Cheers.
Hi all. I'm house-trained, quite friendly and outgoing without being smothering. I've lived by myself for a number of years, so there's no domestic task I'm unfamiliar with. I am more dinner-party than massive-party-party, but still quite social and approachable all the same. I'm LGBTIQ-friendly and have generally left-wing/progressive values, without being (ironically, of course) a bit of a Nazi about it. The need-to-know stuff: I'm a non-smoker, and currently don't have a Significant Other. I don't have a pet, but quite like them, depending on cleanliness etc. I do play a variety of reasonably noisy musical instruments, but am quite conscientious with practice times. I'm full-time employed, and have my own furniture. I'm looking for a large room, to share in a friendly house with like-minded types round my own age. I'm after the kind of house where we're ideally be friends, and enjoy the occasional housemate dinner or outing. I am also looking for something quite clean - I did do the whole student-rat-hovel thing in my 20s, and it's not an experience I'm keen to repeat (the inoculations may have worn off). Look forward to hearing from you - Jeremy.
Nice, bright and spacious townhome with private courtyard in a quiet street. We have our own little convenience store and a great cafe at the corner (so many great cafes around here!). Netflix, Stan and internet all available, off street car park and plenty of on street. Room fits a queen bed plus desk or dresser etc and has built ins with mirrored doors. The main areas are furnished but I'm also happy to be flexible if there are other items you would like to bring.

Snap up the master in this stunning, large & well thought out 3 bedroom 120sqm luxury apartment in the heart of New Farm (bedroom 3 is a media & spare room so sharing with only me). This hidden building has only 16 new and exclusive luxury apartments over 3 levels, so there’s no long wait for the lift (or foot traffic on either of the 2 sets of stairs) and no string of Awkward “hello”s every time you come and go. Perfectly located, this apartment is perched on a hill to capture city and bridge views. It’s nestled in between IGA and Coles, as well as between the James Street and Brunswick Street’s shopping and food precincts as well as a huge range of convenient public transport options. Everything including great restaurants, the New Farm Cinema and New Farm Park are all within a few short minutes walk! The location is surprisingly quiet and serene for an inner city suburb - even on the alfresco style balcony during peak hour traffi, which still blows me away. With a beautiful city & Story Bridge view, privacy with nobody staring inside from other apartments, you’ve got your spacious en-suite, gas hot water & cooking, 2 secure car spaces for the apartment (1each) & ceiling fan. Also, each room has its own zone for the Air conditioning, so each room can be set to different temperatures. Individual AC control panels are located in each room so you don’t need to run into the lounge room to control your comfort. The apartment is newly furnished with everything you could need, though there is some room for some additional furniture if you wanted to incorporate some of your own. The master bedroom on offer is currently unfurnished but I could arrange to have it furnished for the right applicant if required. The apartment features: - premium Miele appliances - City Views from balcony, living area and master bedroom - 3 bedrooms - 2 bathrooms - stylish LED lighting - Block out blinds - video intercom - soft close draws in the kitchen - 75” Sony Bravia 9500 4K TV with amazing surround sound in the lounge and a Samsung 55” HD Smart TV in the Media room - high end European wood-look tiling throughout - Meile 4 burner gas cooktop and gas hot water - Study desk - Seperate laundry from living areas and bathrooms - premium fittings throughout - great adjustable lighting with 4 ceiling lights in each bedroom controlled over 3 circuits/light switches - balcony is fitted with a La-z-boy rocker recliner, super comfy suspended egg chair, power outlets, adjustable sun blockers, bench space with storage underneath and a gas valve to be bbq ready - brand new furniture and appliances throughout - Dyson V11 Absolute vacuum available to use - lots of cupboard space - laundry: both a smart washer dryer combo as well as a separate dryer for added speed and convenience doing your laundry - Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS3 & Wii.
Hello everyone I am just about to sign on to a new lease for this gorgeous two bed apartment in New Farm. My current housemate is moving in with her boyfriend and I am hoping to find a new awesome person to share this little gem with. The property has its own little private courtyard and off-street entrance. It also has the benefits of a pool and a big outdoor deck, perfect for bbq's in summer time. Located in central New Farm, it is 1 min away from the bus stop and walking distance to the shops and central Brisbane. The apartment complex is very calm and quiet, and situated on a quiet, leafy street. It is also just a block away from amazing views of the Brisbane river, Howard Smith Wharves and the Story Bridge. The move in date is fairly flexible at this stage – my housemate is able to move out basically at any time and we are hoping to have this all organised as soon as possible before Christmas and the holiday season comes around. Most of the house furniture belongs to my housemate and will be leaving with her, but I will be looking at replacing all of this in stages. Unless you have some furniture to bring which would be amazing 😊
