Hello everyone! I'm student and I'm looking for a private room. I am friendly, clean, respectful and responsible. I love to walk and meet new places, go to the beach and meet new people.
I’m a 28 year old gay male, currently working part-time as a dog walker and studying spatial design part-time at UTS. I’m looking for a place where I can sign onto a lease. I am looking for a place I can begin renting over the next few weeks. I’m fairly happy keeping to myself whilst being social at times, and like to keep things neat and tidy. Ideally I’m looking for a home where I can become friends with who I’m living with, but still have my own space in my room. I love to cook, and live a fairly quiet lifestyle in that I’m not out partying and don’t have house parties. I prefer catching up over meals and a few drinks, nothing too big. Living with me is Frankie, my 3 year old dog who I have trained to be a medical assistance dog. She's an awesome dog with a big personality. She goes to uni and work with me, and I'm crate training her so she'll happily settle in a new house. She also loves other dogs.
This townhouse is one of the largest Sydney terraces you'll see in the inner west. With a large shared area, larger sunroom, and backyard with BBQ. It features a sizeable modern kitchen with a brand new gas stove, dishwasher, large fridge and a second beer fridge. It's a pretty sweet setup. House is a 4 minute walk to Erskineville train station, 6 minutes to Macdonaldtown and 10 minutes to Newtown.
ROOM 2 (BED 2) - SINGLE $320 OR COUPLE $360 Neg. Large 5.5m x 3m bedroom which includes a tiled sunroom with built-in robe. A double bed, desk and dresser is available and you're welcome to bring any other furniture that you have. WHAT'S INCLUDED Rent includes electricity, gas, internet and Netflix, access to complex facilities and basic household and kitchen supplies, which saves doubling up on the essentials (e.g. cling wrap/foil, paper towels, cleaning products, washing detergent etc). You will also have your own space in the pantry and freezer, as well as free access to coffee machine and beans should you like to use it. ABOUT US I'm Mark, 31, currently taking a break from full time work after almost a 9 year stint at a large professional services firm. I've gone back to study and to enjoy some time off from the 9-5 grind. I spend most of my free time with my partner Nick, and also I enjoy watching too much TV, movies, having a few drinks and checking out new cafes and restaurants. Nick, 25, is my lovely boyfriend from Vietnam and spends most of his time working at a cafe in St Peters or studying hospitality in the city. He's fun and relaxed, and spends way too much time gaming! IDEAL HOUSEMATE We're ideally looking for another gay (or gay friendly) guy to share our place with who are responsible, quiet, clean/tidy, non-smoking, financially stable and looking for a stable home. Students are welcome too, as long as can support themselves and pay the rent. People that want to make the place theirs, contribute and are conscious and considerate of other housemates, including helping with cleaning/chores. I'm not opposed to having friends / overnight stays sometimes, just not too regularly. We have a quiet, calm household and do not have parties or large gatherings. THE APARTMENT - Spacious three bedroom apartment set in an architecturally designed and highly sought after building - Large designer kitchen with granite bench tops and quality appliances and internal laundry - Open plan living spills seamlessly to the entertaining balcony - Balcony overlooking scenic tree lined street with a perfect North aspect - Nice main bathroom with bath, which you would share with one other (who is not home much). - 55 inch TV and 7.1 sound system, with Netflix and media library available. THE COMPLEX Well positioned near Erskineville Village and vibrant King Street with its cafes, shops and restaurants, also located only moments away from the vast expanses of Sydney Park. Easy bus and train facilities available at your leisure – St Peters and Erskineville stations are approx 10mins walk away. Facilities include indoor lap pool, gym and concierge and undercover security car park. You can post an ad on the noticeboard for a car space for around $30-40 a week. There is also street parking if you're lucky. THE FORMALITIES 2-4 weeks Bond (depending on length of stay) and 2 weeks rent in advance is required before move-in date then every 2 weeks from the date you move in. I may also ask that you provide some basic info filled out (including ID, proof of employment etc), so you can be assigned a swipe key. You will also sign an agreement with me, basically saying how much bond and rent is etc. This is to ensure transparency.
Hello, Without sounding like a sad story, I'm looking for a new welcoming home for the next step in my life, sadly my partner and I have decided to separate after 4 years. I come with 2 female cats, both are house trained and desexed. One cat, Ella is very sociable, especially with food because she is little fatty and the other, Missy tends to keep to herself. I tend to be quiet in the week and tend to go to the gym (I try)! Sometimes I work nights, usually once or twice a week. On the weekend, I like to catch up with friends and have the social drink at the pub. I like to cook and enjoy a wine. I'm an easy going flatmate, friendly and clean.
I'm a responsible and tidy individual, taking a break from working full-time to further my education at uni. Looking to move up from Melbourne in February - trying out my luck!
Situated just off south king st Newtown, 5mins walk to St. Peter's station. Open plan kitchen/living leading onto big wrap around balcony with a great outlook. Looking for someone who enjoys living in a share house and keen to have a party and dinner every now and then. Please send me a message with a little bit about yourself. We will be doing inspections this Sunday 22 and/or Monday 23. Room for rent is queen size with plenty of room left for a desk, etc, ample built in robe, large window.
Hello! I'm moving to Sydney after a 5+ year stint in Belgium, where I finally learned to enjoy beer, and am looking for my new home. I do have a full-time job, so you'll have no issues with the bills. Living with me would include chats over tea, or stronger brews, an understanding of alone time, cleanliness, and invitations to the latest activity I'm doing (past examples include hiking, lindyhop, foreign films, picnics). I'm hoping to find people like me who are respectful, open-minded, friendly, and appreciate a social yet calm house.
Hi, Just finished my fieldwork here in Sydney for my master's thesis in social anthropology and am about to do a little trip to celebrate! As the girl I rent my current room from need to have her room back I need to find a new place to stay when I come back by the end of February. Will be in Sydney until 26/1 so could always come by and introduce myself before then. A little bit about me: I am 32 years old and from Sweden. I have a lot of interest but some of them are health, art (both creating and enjoying other's), music, photography and travelling. Love spending time with friends but also enjoy my space. I am trustworthy, respectful, independent, open minded and easy going. Also vegan but have no problem living with someone who is not.
Lovely Modern recently updated room in a 2 bedroom, single storey terrace with a brand new double bed and mattress with organic cotton bedding, huge mirrored BIR with drawers, shelves and hanging space with hangers. New plush carpet, Desk and chair. My place has a stylish, eclectic and quirky vibe. I've recently moved in and started doing a few mini updates here and there. The bathroom is small with no bath and the kitchen is from the 90's, however I have all the appliances needed and everything works. Including instantaneous very hot water, Vitamix, toaster, stove kettle, water filter, dishwasher etc. Separate laundry with a front loader washing machine and dryer on the wall which are both easy to use. Unlimited Internet At the moment, 3-4 months max is all I can commit to. If you require longer and it all is working out living together, I'd be happy to talk about extending your stay. If you are only looking for short term, I would require the full amount of rent paid up front for stays up to a month only. Any longer than a month will be up to you if you'd like to pay weekly, fortnightly or calendar monthly. I'm also happy to accomodate a couple, gay or straight, don't matter. $450 wk incl. Only for up to 2 months max sorry. Note: There is a vintage white secretary/bureau desk and chair in the room now, not seen in photos.
I'm clean, tidy and respectful. I don't drink although I am social. I keep myself busy working two jobs and studying full time.
Private room in a contemporary townhouse in Erskineville. The room is moderate in size with an adjoining balcony. We can leave it furnished for you if you like, or if you have your own furniture thats cool too. Our house is super chill and spacious spread out over three levels with your room being on the second floor, with a shared bathroom, laundry, and one other room. Upstairs is another bedroom with ensuite, and downstairs is the kitchen, lounge, dining, and courtyard. We are a short ten minute walk to both St Peters and Erskineville train station. Sydney park is also in walking distance, as well as King St and Erko shops. There is also a pool in the complex, and a large grassy area. Our house has air conditioning, and we also have a bbq. We have a cleaner that comes every fortnight, which is included in the rent along with internet access.
Hiya Sydney-siders, Hope you’re all having a fab day! I’m moving from Canberra to Sydney to study songwriting and continue working in retail whilst I try to discover my way into the music industry. The course starts in February but I’d like to move to Sydney around the last weekend of January (flexible with dates). I’m super bubbly, easy-going and have a passion for music. I’m very reliable and clean as I’ve been brought up by my grandma (and we all know grannies are control freaks hahah). I’m not a crazy party animal but I love socialising and meeting new people. I’m looking for housemates who can show me around the city and make the house feel like a home. I love exploring new places, watching live music at local bars, eating good hearty food, spending all day at the beach, having a nice cold bev on a hot summer day, jamming out with my guitar, dancing all night long, and just having a really good chat with my potential housemates. I want to find the right house for me and I believe it is the people inside the house that make it a home so I am looking for like-minded people who are willing to let me into their friendship circle and share a good laugh together. That being said, location is still important and I am looking for somewhere with easily accessible and relatively quick (10-20 minutes) public transport to my university and work in Ultimo. If you’re interested please send me a message. I am so excited about my move to Sydney and cannot wait to hear from you! Thanks so much and have a wonderful day! x
I'm social, live a few drinks, am passionate about music and films. I'm love my job as a cinematographer as I get to tell stories by painting images using lighting, composition and camera movement. I'm a clean, hardworking nice guy who wears my heart on my sleeve. I also need off street parking at a minimum as I own a lot of film equipment.
Hey there, I'm a 19 year old guy from Munich, Germany. I finished school last year and like nearly everybody hear in Germany, I want to travel around in New Zealand and Australia. Luckily, I managed an internship at a shipping line in Sydney (Pyrmont) from 3rd April until the 30th of June, so I'm able to improve my english skills and gain some work experience. For this period of time i search for a furnished room with some nice mates to talk and to hang out with. :) I'm an easy going person and easy to get along with. In my freetime I'm mostly hanging out with friends, watching TV-series and movies or playing computer games. Feel free to write me a message or an e-mail, if you're still looking for a roommate and think that we could get along with each other quite well. Thanks for reading hopefully contacting me :) (I'll be in Sydney around the 26th of march)
Hi I'm Toby, I'm 25 and I recently finished studying Design at UNSW. I work in Ticketing at the Sydney Opera House, usually 25-35 hours a week. I'm interested in cooking (especially for other people), sports, socialising and reading. I play soccer on Sundays and usually go to a friends place on Wednesdays for a weekly dinner me and my friends like to have. I am equally good at keeping to myself as I am hanging out and socialising, so would be happy with a social household or a more laid-back one. Aside from that I like to see the odd live music show, see a movie, go for a hike or just do some sort of activity. I would lean towards a more sociable household where people are willing hang out or have a chat. I have a strong friend group of my own so wouldn't be relying on the house for all of my social life, but I would like to feel like I can be friends with my housemates. Though I would also be fine with a house where people keep to themselves more. I love to cook for other people so would gladly offer up my services!
I've been living in Sydney for the last 4 years and have always been living in share houses. I'm respectful, easy going and tidy - and know how to contribute to the place to make it home! I work full-time in social media marketing in the city. I enjoy travelling and quite often do short weekend roadtrips when I can and am currently planning my summer Europe trip!
Hi there. I'm Taleih. 26yo full time professional who has been living in sharehouses for 8 years now (4 years of them in Sydney). I'll be adding part time study to my routine this year so I'll be a very busy human. I'm looking for a clean and tidy place to call home in the inner west. I enjoy having a few beers on the weekend and binge watching The Simpsons every other day. I try and get to the beach whenever the unpredictable Sydney weather allows it. I'm a pretty easy going type - I'm social in the house but also respectful of my housemate's space and privacy. Let me know if you want to know more! Cheers, T.
Hi there ! My name is Clemence, I’m a 25 year-old French girl looking for a nice place in Sydney with friendly flatmates ! I'm easy-going, open-minded and tidy. On my spare time, I enjoy exploring the city I live in, meeting new people and discovering cool restaurants & bars. I love to have people around and share dinners or drinks but also enjoy some time alone.
So I've recently made the move from Christchurch, New Zealand to Sydney for a job opportunity with the bank I work with. I'm working full time in the city Mon-Fri. I work late a few nights a week too I thoroughly enjoy a healthy amount of banter and am capable of providing it whenever necessary. Not a stranger to a beer, my arm is easily twisted when it comes to sharing in an after work beverage. I like breakfast food, Netflix and motorcycles... not necessarily in that order or limited to those exact things.... I've been going to the gym a lot recently too. I'm currently living in Erskinville but due to a change in circumstances I'll need to find a new place towards the end of Feb. I get along with my current flatmates very well and hope to keep up the trend with the next ones. As I'm new to Sydney my ideal place will be with 3-5 people in their early to mid 20's who like to go out together and have the odd party. Ideally this will be in the inner west/ newtown area. As Jim Morrison once said "the west is the best" I'm tidy, polite and have a good sense of humour, so if I sound like your type please get in touch
Hi there! I´m Maria and I`m looking for a flatmate to share a top floor 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in Sydney Park Village. The apartment is fully furnished, except for the bedroom. Details are as per below: Rent is $340/week per person or $410/week for couples. Bills for electricity, gas and internet are paid separately. Internet is $30/month and electricity and gas are around $100 - $130/quarter depending on usage. Bond is equivalent to 4 weeks rent and paid upon moving in. The complex has an internal pool, gym, two tennis courts and an external pool, perfect to enjoy summer! Apart from the complex facilities, you will also be close to cafes, a mini-market and a bottle shop at the entrance of the complex, plus a short stroll to St Peters train station and vibrant lifestyle of Newtown. As for me, I´m a professional single girl. I usually go to the gym every morning and try to keep a nice and quite time at home as it´s my place to relax. And like most of us, yes, I do enjoy chats and a casual drink on the balcony :) I´m looking for someone who is friendly, clean and tidy, who loves animals and is comfortable to share with a tabby called Milo. No party animals please. The room is available from 25/01/2017. Inspections are upon request, so please feel free to call or text to organise an inspection! Looking forward to meeting you soon, Maria
I am a respectful flatmate, non-smoker, clean and easy to live with looking for like minded people. I enjoy sport, exercising, reading and meeting new people. I work in Education and usually spend Monday to Friday trying to keep fit while socialising with friends on the weekend.
Hey! I'm a 22 year old Aussie who's been living in France for 6 years. I just landed a full-time job in Sydney so here I am back again! I cook up a storm (but always clean up afterwards) and love to have the occasional beer at the end of the day with flatmates but other than that I'm generally not intrusive, and I'm very well organised and clean. In my down time I'm usually out exploring the town and taking photos, cooking/eating, watching movies/TV series or reading. I've recently (very recently) taken up running and wouldn't mind a gym partner! I also love meeting new people and just hanging out. Though I'll always respect your privacy, I'm really keen to make some friends, and I'm not just looking for a place to crash at night. As I'll be working full-time I'm not looking for a place that's loud during the week but the occasional weekend party/chill would suit me! I love animals, if you have a pet that's a bonus!
I'm a clean considerate roommate looking to live in inner Sydney. I'm starting work with Westpac bank in the CBD and looking for some cool people to share a house with. I enjoy others company on weekends and happy to do things together but also like my own space and understand the needs for someone else's downtime. Appreciate a quiet space to retreat to after work and like to come home to a tidy and peaceful environment. Love sports and getting involved with club and community events so on weekends my committments will keep me out of the house mostly. Send me a message if youre looking to team up Thanks
Hi I'm a new postgrad student at USYD looking for somewhere to live closeish to uni. I study a lot, so tend to keep to myself and am very respectful of others space. However super friendly and keen to make new friends. I am clean, tidy and know how to cook. Huge animal lover. Keen to check out some new areas of Sydney.
Hey, I moved over from England last September and have been living in Newtown for the past few months. Looking to move out ASAP to a friendly shared house so would be great to hear from you if you have anything available! I'm a very sociable person who loves meeting new people but also very chilled out and happy to stay in watching movies on the sofa! Look forward to hearing from you :)
I am a 25 year-old fulltime English teacher at a language school in the city. I am reasonably quiet (it takes me a while to get out of my shell) but can be quite fun and lively once I get to know people. I occasionally like to muck around on the piano (they come with headphones don't worry!) and sing a bit (only when no one is in the house!). I enjoy a drink and every now and then but would probably prefer a cafe date with friends rather than huge nights out every Friday (Don't be surprised if you find me on a Fri night with a good movie or book or engrossed with some good music with my beloved headphones on). I am not a huge cook but will sometimes prepare Asian food. I enjoy a neat & organized environment and am also obsessively on time with payments and rent. I am also quite adept at making groan-worthy dad jokes! Thankyou Chamberlain Zhang
Hey, i'm Eric and i'm currently working full time at St Peters as a project manager. A bit about myself, I like cooking and playing some sports in the weekend. I'm pretty easy-going with stuff, thus get a long with people pretty good. I'm looking for a nice clean one room or master room to live, and closer to my work place.
I am a responsible, respectful, mindful, neat & tidy, social person, that is full of positive energy (Very much aware of giving people their private space too). I am independent, recently moved to Sydney from Byron Bay. I am a professional working in the Humanatarian sector, located in the CBD. (Normal working hours). I am into health and fitness, yoga, walking, love my coffee, dinning out and travelling. As you would expect there is a lot more about me, send me a message I am very approachable, down to earth and have a sense of humour! (Non smoker too).
Currently lived in Sydney for three years and studying full time at the University of Sydney (B. International and Global Studies). My sister and I are looking to team up with some other students or working professionals to find a house for as long a period as possible in order to create stability while we study. Been living in Marrickville/Newtown area for the past two years, if you'd love to team up or have some rooms available we'd love to hear from you! -Kit
I'm a doctor working at St Vincent's (from Feb) but mostly office hours with the occasional weekend on call and VERY occasional evening or night shift. I'm British but have permanent residency in Australia and looking to get my citizenship when I can (2019!). I tend to listen to music (everything bar RnB/hip hop & drum 'n' bass) more than watch TV & I have decks at home for pretending to be a DJ, but wouldn't use them while you're home. When I do watch TV, it's the news, politics and docos on the ABC or SBS or on-semand stuff from Stan. Happy to also sit and watch a film together with a bottle of wine in the evening. I like to cook and would be happy to share meals, although I'm veggie so equally happy to do my own thing. I also love to entertain, either dinner or a bigger group for drinks. If you wanted to have a houseparty I could be convinced, but only for special occasions! I like to have the odd big night out, although this tends to just be on the long weekends and generally on the scene, although I am trying to find what else gay Sydney has to offer (recommendations welcome!) I'm looking to get a house rather than an apartment and I will be getting a dog so please don't waste your time if that's a no-go for you!
Hi I'm Lucy and I'm looking for a bright happy room of my own in a home with some friendly housemates. I'm 32, a full-time student and freelance graphic designer. I like to read, watch movies and shows, cook and do yoga. Weekends I'm usually working or doing homework, catching up with friends or just enjoying home time. I love to travel and do so as much as possible, enjoy a laugh and a beer. Please note: I am NOT interested in shared rooms.
Hello! I'm a pharmacist, I work in Paddington and teach at the University of Sydney. I've been living in shared accommodation for the last few years and I've always been clean and chill. I like cooking and wine, I have some great Matisse prints which will be coming with me, I would pull the lever, I like the theatre and going to interesting places, I've got some good cookbooks and a Netflix account and you can use. Would love a chill place where I can be with cool people and have good times and good banter.
