Hi, we're an Aussie/Irish couple in our mid-20's looking for a room in inner Melbourne. We're tidy, easy-going and sociable... hoping to find somewhere friendly where we can hang out in the living room, watch TV, share a drink and play the odd board/card game. Michael is studying Masters and working as an accountant, Hannah has just finished uni and is doing a bit of work/study before a backpacking trip in a few months. Pop us a message if it sounds like a good fit!
* females only Great room available in our big gorgeous house. Unlimited Internet and bills included! About the home: Light-filled home with rustic furnishings. Solid-brick terrace in a great location only 5 minutes from the CBD. Close to Union Road shops and cafes, Showgrounds Plaza, local parks and trams and trains to the CBD. Hi I'm Chelsea. My interests include staying fit at the local yoga studio, gardening, going to plays, movies, reading and learning languages. Looking for a friendly, happy person to join us in the peace and tranquillity of a nice home. Not a party house :) More than happy to share meals and chat! Yell out if you have any questions. * If you're sending me a message, please include how long you'd like to stay :) * Please also have an updated Flatmates profile including PHOTO so I can read a bit about you too. Thanks!
I am a friendly, easy-going, fun and empathetic person who loves nature and animals (I am not bringing pet). I am a clean, tidy and organized person. Besides, I love coffee, listen to all kinds of music and going to the gym to maintain a healthy lifestyles. I am open to different kinds of opinions and multicultural perspectives. Besides, I respect other people concerns and privacy. I like to offer help to people in need. I am going to study a Master Degree in Development Studies at the University of Melbourne in early January, 2017. Prior to undertaking this Master Degree, I worked at The Asia Foundation in Cambodia as a Program Officer managing Mobile for Tech for Women Empowerment Program. I will be studying in Melbourne for a year and return back to my home country - Cambodia.
My partner and myself are really easy going people that like to chill and and have a laugh. We are both from England looking to travel around Australia. We are both quite an active couple so like to go for walks to the gym, and exploring; we are also massive foodies that love to go out for food. I am an early years teacher and my partner works in logistics. Both responsible and respectful.
Not a convicted felon. Looking for peeps who want to share a house not an apartment. I have a kelpie who lives with family that I would love to have sleep over once in a while, but this is not a must. I work full time and try to get out of Melbourne every couple weekends..
We are a lovely couple from overseas. We are mature students (will be study PhD at the University of Melbourne), have no kid and don’t have any plan to have one soon. Mostly spend most of the daytime at the Uni and work part-time occasionally. We are looking for 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms in a shared flat/house, and looking for another couple to team up. As the budget suggests, we're looking a bit moderate to high standards accommodation and also a respectful couple to be shared with. We are easy-going and love to go out to explore the city with friends/flatmates. We enjoy travelling / watching films-tv / music / dinner with friends during the weekends. We are clean, tidy and organised, always clean after ourselves or even clean the share space.
Hi My name is Rebecca and I am looking for a home to move to ASAP. Ideally I would like a large room with BIR/wardrobes that can fit more than my queen bed :D. I was living with my best friend who moved overseas and have my own furniture so an unfurnished room would be ideal. I don't smoke and only drink occasionally at social events. I’m quiet but up for a chat or occassional movie. I'm clean and have lived in share houses both in Oz and overseas so am aware of the living standards in sharing/respecting spaces. I enjoy cooking and exploring events around Melbourne (Theatre buff :D). I'm looking for somewhere to call home and housemates to hopefully call friends :D Thanks heaps Rebecca (Reb)
21, law and finance uni student, work a lot, clean and keeps to herself.
I am a friendly, open guy who is always looking for the bright sight of life. I have 5 years of experience in sharing a flat and I really enjoy it. I am coming from Germany for a research stay to the University of Melbourne. In particular I am doing cybernetics which is pretty much control engineering. I will stay here for approx. 3 month. As I am pretty much into travelling I want to take the chance and explore more parts of Australia afterwards. In my freetime I am always up for sports and I enjoy to try new things! I especially like to play volleyball, football, tennis, swimming. Moreover I like to go to bars and live music. A must do on my bucket list for Australia is to learn surfing! I am looking forward to a chat in real. Cheers, Felix
Hi all, Let me tell you a bit about myself… (I’ve gone into depth here). I’m a young intellectual studying to make my shot at the world, I’m at RMIT studying International Studies, I should (fingers crossed) have only 6 months left of my degree. I’m a Queenslander at heart and come with my own personally bag of ‘what is this weather?!’ sayings. I’ve been in Melbourne for just over a year, and will be here for at least another 10 months, then we shall see where life takes me. I’ve lived in Brisbane and Indonesia since school, and have lived in my fair share of houses, so have an honest appreciation for house standards and etiquette. I’m clean and tidy, and for the past 5 months have been the domestic goddess of an apartment filled with messy boys (think Oscar the Grouch then times by 3). I’m generally easy going and laid back, looking for some decent people with decent world views to have decent conversations with. I’m searching for a house that has positive vibes, friendly people, and that I can come home to after a horrible day, have a vent and drink a glass of wine. Ideally the house will be filled with people who have similar sleeping habits, so no 2am weeknight gatherings with the music pumping, and similar social values (i.e. giving a crap about other people). I really love cooking, and haven’t really been able to do much in my time here, so I would love a place with a healthy foody focus. I’m okay with sharing some things, but usually like to buy groceries individually. I want a house where I can come home and there’s always enough milk for a cup of tea. I can’t afford to buy a house because I’m brunching too frequently, damn smashed avo… Seriously though, I’m a coffee fiend and love a good café sesh. I would love a cute vege patch, would love to grow my own food and be more self-sufficient. I’m somewhat creative, and would love to have enough room for a little art corner somewhere, and would love to be with people who value culture, music, arts, food, coffee, health and fitness, and positive sincere relationships. I don’t have a car and will need to rely on public transport, go-gets, or friend’s generosity. I work at a bar in Hawthorn and I’m looking for some more work. I’m financially supported by the parentals, so affording rent will not be any issues. I would ideally like to be on a lease, I’m not interested in any dodgy situations. I like to keep to myself sometimes, be independent with my actions, and to grow and learn and discover new things. I love language, so bonus points if anyone speaks French, Spanish or Indonesian. Hope to hear from you soon, Jess xx
Hi! I work full time as a surgical assistant. I've lived in great share houses previously. I'm friendly, clean, respectful to others. Finding a new housie to share a wine or laugh with would be a bonus! I work hard and in my spare time I enjoy coffee with friends, finding a new cafe try and anything outdoors. Ideally looking to find someone to start a sharehouse or an unfurnished room! Looking forward to meeting you :) Looking to move Dec 16- Jan 17
Hi! I'm Miri, I'm 21 and currently studying Photography at RMIT and working part time in the city. I'm a regular gig goer, taking my camera along taking snaps and vids, op-shopping and market hunting for vintage gems and some good ol' chats over a glass of red! Looking for a house that is social, happy and easy going environment, but also being aware of the occasional study cram before exams and housemates being considerate of this time. Thanks! :)
Hi, I'm Riley. I'm a 23 year old, female, and currently looking for a room to rent. I currently work part-time in Moonee Ponds as a beauty therapist and study animation full-time in South Melbourne. I'm tidy, friendly and respectful. I'm rarely at home, but when I am I'm drawing/studying in my room. I'm looking for somewhere to create a home and have a nice environment to come home to. I don't bring many people over or anything as I resepct my roommates may not want that. I like to double check things if possible. I am quiet and easy-going, however I like to cook and have movie nights.

We're 5 km from the city, which is around a 10min train ride. There is a spacious bedroom available which is fully furnished with Queen Bed, 2x bedside tables and built in wardrobe. The room looks out over the internal garden and tennis court. Rent includes all the furniture and bills are divided equally.
I'm a full time professional working in facilities management at Essendon Fields. I'm a very clean and respectable person who loves their downtime but also doesn't mind a drink and a chat. Swing me a message if you're keen on teaming up to find a place.
Hi we are Rachael and Shannon (intern psychologist and a site manager). We would like to team up with someone to find a 3 bedroom home that we will fully furnish and rent out the 2nd room to you. We would like to leave our 3rd room as a spare/office. Our preferred budget is $450 up to $500 max. So your room may cost anywhere between $200-250. And we would like for you to help us in the searching & application process so that we can all move in at the same time. Will will first apply for a 6 month lease in case we are not happy with the house or area. But the idea is for it to be long term for us & hopefully you! Rachael is a psychology intern and works long days 4 days per week. Shannon is often out of town every second weekend. We lead a fairly busy lifestyle between work, gym and our family/friends living out of town. We are a respectful, friendly, easy going couple who pride ourselves in being neat and tidy & never a hastle to live with. We enjoy going to gym, markets, cafes, the occasional night out or just relaxing. We are looking for someone who can have a chat, a laugh & share the occasional catch up when we are all in the home. And importantly to Rachael a housemate who will keep the shared areas in the home clean, neat & tidy. Importantly to Shannon who works long hours someone who is considerate and respectful of others when it comes to noise levels. We will be looking for a 3 bedroom, preferably 2 bathroom home with a double lock up garage (but that will be for Shannon & my cars only sorry). If you think you would like to team up to find a place with us please send a message!
Hi! My name is Lauri and I'm a 28 year old guy from Helsinki, Finland. I'm a multimedia designer by trade and usually work in the creative fields. I'm in Australia on a working holiday visa and planning to spend the following months in the awesome city of Melbourne. Currently my long term plans are pretty open so therefore I'm looking for a short term lease on a private room in a nice shared house/apartment with nice roommates. Ideally I would like to rent a room for the next 3 months or so, but I'm also open for shorter and maybe longer deals. I'm a responsible, clean, open-minded and an easy-going person. I'm into music and all kinds of arts in general. I like to spend my free time going to gigs and exhibitions and also hanging out with friends and watching movies etc. I'm used to sharing apartments with other people and can appreciate a nice community as well as privacy. Contact me if you have a spare room that I might be interested!
I'm easy-going, clean, dependable and sociable. (Wow, it's always hard for me to write these short descriptions.) My business partners decided to move back to their respective home countries so I've just finished closing up shop. It's back to the old IT freelancing gig for now, until I figure out my next stop, which means I'll be working from home most days for a little while. I'm originally from Delhi. I've been living here since I turned 18 so I've accumulated a fair bunch of friends over the years. Hoping to add my future housemates to the list. I usually go out on the weekends for drinks/gigs, but when I don't I like to watch movies/tv shows and read. I'm into an occasional hike or two, trying new things and keeping it real.
I'm a science student at Melbourne Uni with a job in hospitality, and more of a geek than anything else. I love movies, particularly horror, and go to the cinema whenever I can. I'm much more of a listener than a talker, but I love being part of a good conversation and if I get a few beers in me, I'll happily babble about pretty much anything until the sun comes up! I love going out to try new food places when I can afford it and I like to try to cook, though not very well (it's a work in progress)... I also like to read a lot, and love games - video games, card games, board games, you name it and I'll probably like it. I consider myself a very curious person, so I'm always up for learning or trying new things. I'm no clean freak, especially when it comes to my own space (a busy desk is a busy mind!), but I like to try to keep common areas as clean as I can. I'm Australian, but I've spent 5 years living abroad in this is my first year back in Melbourne.
I'm a fun and considerate housemate. I've recently finished a job in country Vic working full-time for the last 10 years. I'm heading back to Melb for work and would love to team up with someone to find my feet. I'm great with cleaning and tricky stains are my speciality (so I'm told! haha) I love indoor plants and making a comfortable home everywhere I go. I enjoy cooking but am no masterchef - happy to jump in a give it a go!
International student of Melbourne University, really focused and hardworking and knows how to have fun at the same time. Looking for a decent place and a female flatmate who can match my level of chill and chick.
Moving to Melbourne from Sydney as I am starting a new full time role for a large corporate firm in Docklands. I am really easy going, friendly, love to cook and clean and love a tidy home. Pet friendly, enjoy keeping fit and active, enjoy company of others, can be social as well as enjoy my nights in also.
Easy going guy who likes to keep a pretty clean space, enjoys cooking and socialising with a quiet drink. I have brand new appliances to basically furnish an empty house if required. I work full time and do play sport so I'm always reasonably busy.
Hey, My names Rita I am 21, I moved to Melbourne from Adelaide 6 months ago. I am a full time student studying law and business at Vic Uni and also work part time at Zara. I am very sociable, easy to get along with and respectful of space, belongings and cleanliness. My lease at my current share house runs out in mid November, but I can move anytime before that. I would ideally like to move somewhere close to public transport to make it more convenient for work and Uni. If you have any question please don’t hesitate to message me anytime. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Hey, My names Dave and I have another mate Jac, we're currently looking for some extra people to build a share house. We're looking at houses in the North Melb, Footscray, Kensington, and Brunswick areas (and surrounding). We're pretty chill people who actually want to start dabbling in some pub trivia, and love a beer/cider or a few. Dave is studying to become a paramedic with fantastic puns its almost punishable..... and Jac is a sea kayaking instructor so thats a paddlin, so we are super outdoorsy and keen for hikes, camping and other adventures! also we are looking to get into some fitness so some more friendly competition would be swell Dave also has an extremely loveable dog named Ollie who is an outside dog and an all round massive spud. if ya keen shoot us a message on hear or via interpretive dance what ever is easier
Easy going, friendly, good cook, excellent company. Looking for a short terms stay over the summer before I find something more longer term for 2017. Currently a medical student, who has been based rurally for about 2 years. Looking forward to getting back to Melbourne and experiencing the wonderful city that it is!
