Hi I'm Kate, I'm a Health Science student passionate about Public Health. I love to read, go running and cycling, and gardening. I'm pretty quiet and easygoing. I'm look for a place for 7 weeks in Canberra as I will be doing an internship in Deakin. 25 Feb to 14 March inclusive.
I am a Software Engineer hailing from the Philippines. I just arrived here in Canberra on the 1st week of January. My workplace is in Fyshwick so I am looking for a place nearby(hopefully at least 1 bus ride away).
House-trained final year medical student (this means: busy most days (at least) 9-5, studying most nights, keen to have company over meals when that works out). Financially secure (I have a scholarship and work part time). I've lived all over Australia, enjoy meeting people, cooking, conversation, the odd glass of wine. Looking for quiet household where I can study and relax. I like outdoorsy things (hiking, cycling, water sports) when time permits. Happy to live with those who value privacy and prefer to do their own thing but equally flexible and enjoy social interaction with housemates during downtime.
Hi, I am a 24 yr old male. Currently working fulltime with Capital Football and Canberra United managing the W-League team and managing the high performance programs for Football in the Canberra Region. I'm looking for a house with a friend of mine, Andrew, who is a 25yr old male, also working fulltime as an engineer for a firm in Fyshwick. We're looking for two bedrooms in a house (preferably) somewhere on the inner south or south side of Canberra so that we can remain close to work and family. Outside of work I currently play AFL for Eastlake football club and am studying a Master of Commerce online at RMIT. I'm very easy going and enjoying spending my down time out with some friends or reading books. Both of us are from Canberra, born and raised, and extremely respectful of others and their own space. We like to hang out with others and cook meals, however, are also respecting of people's privacy and own space. We're looking to move in as soon as possible and happy to contribute to whatever the household requires (furniture etc.)
Hi! I just completed university in NSW and will be moving to Canberra for my first full-time job - Intern in Canberra and Calvary hospitals. I've only been to Canberra once and am not too familiar with which suburb to live in - wouldn't mind driving 10-20mins to work. I've lived in university on-campus accommodation and shared house with ensuite bathroom in the past. I am hoping to find a quiet, clean and tidy place with respectful housemates (preferably females). I would be keen for occasional housemate(s) gathering, if I'm not too tired from work. I enjoy exploring new places, going to cafes, and exercising (but sometimes I do get lazy). Looking for places which are flexible with length of stay - I'd definitely prefer not to move around too often, but wanna make sure I really like the place before committing long term. Thanks
Moving to Canberra to start full-time work as part of the APS. Avid photographer, reader, and also looking to get into woodworking in my spare time. Always happy to chat and socialise, but also appreciate and need alone time. I am a very neat and clean person, but also desperately learning how to cook: any help would be appreciated!
Hey! I'm 23, and work full time for a consulting firm. I'm friendly and easy going, love to have a chat, but also respect others need for space, and expect the same in return. In me, you will find a very kind flat mate who doesn't mind sharing all the good food that I can cook ;) I actually enjoy cleaning so you won't to worry about mess with me! I don't drink or smoke. I am not a "party" person so do not worry about noise with me in the house.
This beautiful modern unit is on the first floor of a lovely leafy complex located just behind Canberra hospital (5 min walk to hospital, 5 min walk to Garran shops). The room comes with your own ensuite bathroom and secure underground car park, and water rates are included. There is ducted aircon and heating throughout.
I am working as an APS at the Department of Finance. I love nature, watching artistic films and want to get back into reading. I am looking for walking distance to Forrest or a maximum of 45 minute public transport commute to Forrest. I am very flexible and do not require a personal bathroom.
Hi, I work as a Finance / Business Manager in the NFP sector in Canberra. I am a friendly, easy going, mature age person who likes to cook, share a laugh and the odd wine. I am a responsible person who respects other people and their belongings. I like to keep houses organised, neat and well maintained. I have good handyman skills, pool maintenace skills, and gardening skills. I have a friendly personality and am a keen sports person. Please call/email me to discuss your accomodation rental requirements and I can tell you more about myself.
I'm currently studying maths and linguistics at ANU and Riley is employed full time. I like to keep my space functional, and Riley is a cleaning god - no seriously she's a machine. We need a place to cook together, tell dumb jokes and be ourselves in. Happy to spin a yarn with others but can respect personal boundaries too. Love animals, and don't mind smokers so long as we have a space to call home. We're looking for a longer lease, and wouldn't mind a bathroom to ourselves - but we're flexible and happy to work with the house.
I enjoy a chat and some banter but I also like to simply chill/relax on my own. Cooking is something I enjoy when I have time. I also like getting outdoors to do things like bushing walking and socialising. Wholistic health is an interest of mine too. Furthermore, I am easy to get along with and enjoy a good laugh. I am not from Canberra but I have been here a few years. I work in a busy caring field/environment 4-5 days per week in a permanent part-time role, and am planning to resume study in 2019 in addition to this.
I am mature and am very adaptable. I am clean and tidy. I enjoy socialising but respect boundaries. I am quite active and enjoy the outdoors. I am currently living in North Queensland and will not be in Canberra until mid January. I am relocating to Canberra to begin work with the Department of Environment. I love animals, so I don't mind if there are pets. Being a North Queenslander, good heating is a must as I am not used to the cold at al. Also I am happy to live in other areas than those I have listed, I am not very familiar with Canberra, so the ones listed are just suburbs that I have googled. I have a car and so public transport isn't a necessity.
Hi! I'm Helen, 21, moving from Brisbane to start a permanent full-time job at Canberra Hospital. I'm looking for a place close to work from the start of Feb for a few months until I get my bearings around Canberra. As my whole life has always been in Brisbane, I anticipate to travel back home quite frequently (fortnightly- monthly), at least for the first few months. I don't have experience with house sharing as I own the home I live in in Brisbane but I am tidy and respectful! I also like my own personal space but am more than happy to have the occasional chit chat, wine and Netflix marathon. I prefer to have my own bathroom, however can be flexible. I also prefer to live with females in a female only flat. I don't mind pets, in fact I'll be excited to share a home with four-legged friend (Allergic to some cats). If you think I might be the right house mate for you, please let me know :)
I'm a full time medical student at the ANU, looking to share an apartment with preferably one other person. I'm Palestinian Jordanian but grew up in Abu Dhabi and Doha; I moved to Australia 2 years ago after living in Los Angeles for 4 years. I'm a pretty chill guy and can be accommodating in terms of how much contact you want as roomies, I'd like to be good friends with whoever I live with but I also understand if you need your space. I do like keeping things clean, but I'm not a huge neat freak.
I'm a young professional working in Woden. I moved over from Perth in January 2018. I have an excellent rental record and am now looking to live closer to the Canberra City than where I was previously (anywhere in Woden and the Inner South). Happy to join an existing share house or team up with some other people looking to start a share house. Non smoker, social drinker, I stay fit outdoors with hiking and swimming, and like going to the gym. I like games, art and cooking. I like to keep my surroundings tidy and in good condition, and respect shared spaces. My personality is quiet, but I don't object to noise and activity around me. Update: I will be out of state from January 5-21. I will still be checking messages and asking about places/arranging viewings for when I return, however I might be a bit slower to respond.
Hi there! I am looking for a private room with an en suite or private bathroom. I have to ferrets who live in a cage in my room and do not smell as the cage is cleaned regularly. I am open to keeping them outside. I would like to move into a house with trustworthy people, preferably -30yrs old. I like too live environmentally friendly and enjoy garden work and looking after pets.
Originally used as an Embassy, this elegant house has been furnished and re-purposed to provide a "home away from home" for people coming to Canberra for work, as it's a challenge to find affordable accommodation when you first arrive. While it retains the timeless elegance of marble stairs, crystal chandeliers and French doors to the balcony, the house has been refurbished to a high standard and offers comfortable accommodation in lockable single rooms which share bathrooms but have own toilets, or couples suites with own bathroom. The communal kitchen and dining areas are spacious and well equipped with appliances, crockery and all cutlery. You can relax in the beautiful upstairs lounge, watch television or a DVD movie.. Or step out to the covered balcony with a glass of wine and watch the sunset over Woden.
A Pom who has recently gotten dual citizenship. An active person who loves the outdoors and most of the sports out there. Currently living in country Victoria (wangaratta), moving to Canberra for work and a change of scene. Having had housemates myself I understand how important it is to keep things clean and tidy. Feel free to ask any questions.
I’m a flexible, reliable, easy going person who is also happy to have a chat but mostly keeps to himself. I'm in Canberra for 3 months working full time as an engineer in the defence industry. I enjoy cooking and while at home enjoy woodworking.

Hi there. My name's Rob and I'm a 26 year old from Sydney moving to Canberra for full time work. I've lived in a couple of share houses so have experience living with others - I keep things tidy, am always willing to do my fair share of cleaning etc. I'm generally easygoing, and enjoy a chat / drink / dinner from time to time, but also appreciate escaping to our own spaces. I enjoy live music, bush-walking, video-games and cooking (and though I'm improving I must admit I've got a long way to go!), and I try to get to the gym at least three times a week.
Hello! So I'm moving to Canberra to start a full time job with an animal welfare charity. Initially for six months but all going well the move will become permanent. I've been in share houses for years, so respect privacy, tidiness etc I'm pretty chilled out but like a couple drinks at the weekend. Weekday evenings I prefer to exercise, cook and netflix. My main interests are horse riding, skiing, camping, hiking, camping and diving. I'm originally from London but moving from Sydney. As I have family in Sydney I will likely be travelling back there some weekends. Plus I like going away for weekends camping with my car. I'm looking for a sharehouse with outgoing, clean, likeminded people! I have a car so street parking as a minimum would be great. Open to anywhere with pets but sadly cannot live with cats due to allergies. LGBTQI+ friendly.
I am an Interior Designer who enjoys adventures, yoga and pilates. I am currently studying my second degree one day a week in landscape architecture. My family live in a small country town which I love to visit. I am looking for a housemate who is down to earth, easy to talk to and has positive vibes. I do enjoy peace and quiet but also love a good chat and a glass of wine!
Hey, my name is Jamie and I'll be studying in Canberra. I'm easygoing and more than happy to help around the house. I enjoy cooking, photography, and going for runs. I like going out but prefer Netflix and a heavy doona most nights. So far this is sounding very cliche so I may as well double-down and cover all my bases by stating that I'm looking for a fun but relaxed; open but cosy; quiet but adventurous place to live. To be honest, I'm quiet and respectful and I'm looking for a place that matches.
Teacher. Happy to have a chat but also respect privacy. Quiet and clean. Always pay rent on time. Please do not contact me if pets are not allowed.
I am a 26 year with a full time job, who loves to socialize and make new friends. I also love trekking, reading and occasionally binge watching on netflix. I am also very neat and tidy and I am looking forward to moving to Canberra from Brisbane and exploring as much of Canberra as I can.
I'm currently working part time at a clothing store and will be starting part time study in Beauty Therapy in February. I've been renting/in share homes for a year now and I'm looking for somewhere new. I love to cook healthy meals and keep active and would love to share a home with someone with a similar lifestyle (although not essential).
I grew up in Canberra and my family live in Campbell and Melbourne. I’m 25 years old, queer, and I work part time for an educational not-for-profit in Yarralumla that runs creative programs (art, drama, etc) for children. I did honours in anthropology at ANU and am fascinated by history and other cultures. I'm friendly and enjoy socialising, but also value my private time. I'm tidy but not excessively so. I love tabletop roleplaying games, board games, reading, and cooking. I am a non-smoker, and rarely drink. I have my own bedroom furniture and don’t have a car.
Hi, I'm in my mid-30s and work F/T. I'm looking to move into an unfurnished room with plenty of space, and also a little storage space. I'm tidy and clean, chatty, but respectful of others' space. Fairly busy and independent, love keeping active and getting outdoors when I can (walks & hikes, trips to the coast), although I do have a horrible penchant for TV when the Bachie is on. Looking for house mates of roughly the same age and who also work F/T, and it is most important to me that we all click and also have the same living expectations. If it sounds like I would fit your household, get in touch! Gabby
Hi I'm Rachel, a 24 year-old recent uni grad who's moving to Canberra to start an APS graduate program next year (I don't start work til mid Feb but am happy to sort out a place and start paying rent before then). I'm originally from country Victoria and have spent plenty of time in share houses while at uni in Melbourne so I understand the importance of cleaning up after yourself and respecting other people's privacy. I'm happy chilling in my own room but am always up for a friendly chat or catching up over Netflix, wine or takeaway, plus I love cooking so I'll occasionally make a home-cooked meal (or cake) for the house. I'll be bringing a car with me to Canberra so I'll need a parking space or on-street parking (and am always happy to take housemates to the supermarket or on late-night maccas runs). If it sounds like I could be your ideal housemate (or even just not a total nightmare) for you please let me know, and I'm happy to answer any further questions you might have.
I’ve just finished my Bachelor of Nursing degree at University and have secured a full-time position at The Canberra Hospital. Ideally, I’m looking for somewhere quite close to Woden for this reason. I am due to start in April so would be wanting to move in around mid March. I’ve lived at home during the time I’ve been at University so this will be the first time I have lived out of home. I don’t smoke, and am clean and tidy. I have respect for other people as well as other people’s things. ☺️
Quiet nerdy couple (one studying, one working) looking for a chill place to work and study. Happy to occasionally play boardgames and have a drink, enjoy cooking and cleaning. Non-smokers, LGBTI+ friendly.
Hi there. I am looking for somewhere nice for my dachshund & I. (Otherwise I will have to leave her in Melbourne with family which is also a possibility but a very hard one!) It would be until the end of June. I am an APS worker, quiet, non-smoker, great cook & clean. Love music festivals, vegetarian food, travelling, bike riding, gardening, reading, markets & the movies. I’m looking for somewhere warm & cosy to live for the next 6 months with some polite, funny & like minded people. A furnished room, separate bathroom & parking would be ideal. Would love it too if it’s a granny flat or studio.
Hey 😊 I'm Chris and I'm 26 and work full-time in wealth management. I'm easy going and outgoing, pretty clean and handy around the house. I'm looking at moving to Canberra beginning of Jan to be closer to work and friends. Some things I love include: coffee, wine, movies, the beach, hiking, sailing, reading, hanging with mates, indoor plants, cooking & eating food - just to name a few.
I'm down to earth and like to learn from the people around me. I need a bit of solitude from time to time, but also make an effort to be a supportive housemate. The outdoors, exercise, and conversations over coffee are some of the things that I enjoy most. I'm a small business owner looking to knuckle down for the year ahead. I'm looking to either team up with one or two others to find a house to rent, or move into an existing share house. If you think we'd get along as housemates, please get in touch.
