Move in date and length of stay is entirely flexible for the right place and flat mates. I'm a super clean, pretty quiet Aussie girl, friendly and considerate around others. I moved last year from Queensland for the cooler life and I'm loving Canberra. I work full-time that includes working 2 weekends a month, plus an occasional shift in a casual job so I'm generally pretty busy and independent. I'm also considering returning to uni part-time next year in the health sciences. I like to live a relatively healthy lifestyle and am outdoorsy. I love cycling and get out in the sunshine and I can't wait to go snowboarding. When I am home I enjoy the odd night sharing cheese/chocolate/ice cream and tea/wine/cider (sorry- I just never got into beer) with a meal or pizza with flatmates in front of a movie or Netflix. I also often like time to myself to wind down or study so I generally go with the flow with what others feel like doing at the time. I'm certainly no big party animal and don't smoke. I have a queen size bed so would need a room to accommodate. I don't have a car at the moment but getting one very soon so near a frequent bus line as well as parking available is also a requirement. I can also supply excellent references from past flatmates and landlords that show I've always paid rent and bills on time and am one of the best flatmates around! :-)
I have 1 room to rent in my large renovated home in Garran. Looking to share with considerate, friendly and tidy person (non smoker). Pets considered. Rent includes electricity, water & wifi internet. Gas is to be split (extra). Also included is a fortnightly cleaner for bathrroms, kitchen & floor etc. $ 235 pw. Built in robe, shared bathroom & shower. Unfurnished. More about the house - • Close to local shops and bus stop. • Large kitchen w/ dishwasher. • 2 living areas. • Use of shared study • Ducted gas heating. • Large backyard. • Short walk to Red Hill nature reserve. I work from home (downstairs office with external access). It’s not particularly noisy, but there may be the odd doorbell or car coming & going during the day. Just mentioning this in case it is a problem for you. The photo's provided aren't current (they are from a few years ago), the furniture has changed & the garden is a little dry!
The townhouse is conveniently located within walking distance of Canberra Hospital and less than a 5 minutes drive from Westfield Woden (and bus interchange). The house has a spacious living room and large balcony to enjoy during summer. You would be sharing a bathroom with one other 22 year old female as the master bedroom has an ensuite. The light and airy room you would be renting is large enough to comfortably fit a queen sized bed and furniture. There is a large built in wardrobe with shelving and plenty of room. Bills and internet are not included in the rent. No smokers or couples. Please send through any questions or queries you may have. We also have: Central Heating Air conditioner Dishwasher Washing machine Dryer
I’m 29, work in comms in the public service in the city, grown up in Canberra for most of my life, but recently moved back from a 4-year stint in Sydney! Love being active and getting to the gym after work and i do a dance class once a week. I tend to stay in during the week and try and chill/do a few social things on the weekend. I consider myself pretty chilled, love food/cooking and cooking for others, trying new recipes. I don’t have any intolerances except dairy (although I tend to indulge sometimes with cheese lol) and I like being clean and tidy to a reasonable extent! Ie I don’t like living in filth but I’m not OCD :) I have a tv and an Apple TV as well as some shelves, but also happy to buy some furniture if need be. Flexible with move dates :)

Love living with other people, happy to have a chat and socialise but also to give space. I’m super easygoing and keep my place tidy. I’m originally from Sydney but have lived in Canberra for four years while studying. I’m now working full time on the museum collection at Calthorpes’ House in Red Hill. Later in the year I’ll be starting a Masters course in Glasgow, so that’ll be quite a move! I love travelling, went to Egypt last year because the crowds are down haha. Been working in fine dining during my degree so I love food and wine. I’m looking for a great house to live in with friendly people!
I have been offered a new position in canberra for a duration of 18 months to 2 years. A little bit about me, I came to Australia since 7 years old, fluent in English, mandarin, cantonese, some vietnamese, and prefer to live with someone who can speak french as I am working for french company Thales, but I am a senior IT system engineer. I am active (into swimming and cycling), love music (jazz, pop and play guitar), also planning to join the army reserve to get fit. I love to watch stand up comedy. I am clean and easy adapt to most situation(s). I am sensitive to odour and looking flatmates who are responsible and respect the rule and privacy of others. I don't smoke but do drink occasionally (Red Wine if I am at home, beers if in a pub with friends). Please donot hesitate to contact me if you feel I am a good fit.
APS worker seeking to live with some easy going friendly people. Very easy going and relaxed and into the arts, music, film, and creative writing. Open-minded and enjoy meeting different people from different backgrounds.
I am a professional working in IT as an analyst and programmer. I am quiet and appreciate my privacy, but also like to be social from time to time. I work long hours during the week and would like to share with a like minded person. As my home is interstate, I will be in Canberra every second weekend. I like to walk, go to the gym, attend music events and the cinema. I am looking for accommodation to share for 3 moths to a year.
Hi, I have moved over from Perth to work in the APS as a grad. Looking for a place to call home. I’m very laid back and tidy, I am equally happy having my own time or having a glass of wine and a chat. Mostly found binging Netflix or playing video games. Always up for a brunch!
I am a 33 year old public servant who moved to Canberra from Melbourne a year ago and am now looking for my own space. I am an introvert and am hoping to commence post-graduate studies this year so am looking for a quiet place with study after work. I am very clean and neat and am a non-smoker. My only vice is my red wine collection and my love of football (soccer), which sees me waking up at all hours to watch live European matches and this year the World Cup in Russia!
Hey hey! I recently moved here to Canberra I'm an architect i work full time in a contracting company. I'm easy going laid back and artsy type of dude. I love music I like company, I currently live in Deakin in a granny flat and the only reason why I would want to leave is because it's small so basically the whole house is cramped in one room, add to that I would love to be part of a bigger house with housemates :) Thanks a bunch :))
Looking for accomodation for between 9 and 12 months as I’m looking to join the Air Force, I currently work full time in Canberra. I’m a very clean and respectful person, I’m pretty quiet, but in saying that, I’m very friendly and happy to socialise with other housemates. It would be awesome to meet some housemates who share similar interests to become friends with. Some things I love are: Photography AFL (Essendon) NRL (Manly) Cars Music Travelling Great food Having a laugh I’m able to obtain references from previous real estate agents and other housemates if required. Ideally, I do prefer my own bathroom, I am quite fastidious in having a clean and hygienic bathroom, some housemates I’ve had in the past have been quite the opposite and don’t clean up after themselves and I would prefer not to share this time around. I would be more than happy to share a bathroom with someone who’s the same and is fastidious in keeping the bathroom clean as I always make the effort to leave it clean for my other housemates.
I’ve recently moved from Sydney to work in APS, and my living arrangements are changing and I’m looking for a place to stay for the rest of the year! I’m very tidy, easy going and fun but respect personal space and privacy. I love dogs, food and a good walk (or run!)
I am a recent engineering graduate, working full-time for the public service. Originally from Melbourne, I enjoy playing flute, reading, and the odd bit of painting. I'm a fairly quiet person who likes to keep tidy surroundings but am OK with pets.
Hello, I am a 24 year old female who would be relocating to Canberra in February for work proposes. I am very easy going and friendly. I like to keep things nice and tidy so that it would not be a hassle to other people. I prefer a good work-life balance so I like socialising and exploring new places or a nice quiet night in. I am very respectful of one's personal space but would not reject a social night with a glass of wine and some food. Please do contact me if I am the housemate you are looking for.
I am currently working part time in a liquor store and studying full time in Interior Design. I am looking for somewhere to live for roughly 2 years. I love to catch up over some wine and cheese or beer and wings! I want to go back packing around Asia after finishing my degree. Also I fancy myself a good cook. 👍 P.s. Because I’m in class or at work most of the time I can only be contacted via sms or message 🙂
Hi, I'm passionate about recycling, helping out, great at fixing things, and have a very sociable Jack Russell who loves attention and a ball. Currently renting in Gungahlin (last 14 months), I work full time in Civic (I.T.), and want to be closer to work so I can ride my bike ($16.70 for parking is ridiculous). I spend some weekends at coast or camping/visiting friends/kids interstate. Looking for a place that has a secure outside yard and a space to park the car.
I am a public servant relocating from QLD to Canberra for work. I am clean and considerate. I enjoy my alone time, but I am also sociable and look forward to getting to know my flat mates. I love animals, especially dogs. I’m vegetarian but have no objection to living with non-vegetarians, as I believe this is a personal choice. I enjoy a few drinks, but not too many as I like to make the most of the day and get outdoors bushwalking, jogging and doing yoga.

I’m Chrysti and I’m 27 years old looking to live somewhere in Canberra. I work full time in public relations for APS and am looking for a share house. I am a neat and tidy person, single and a non smoker. I've lived in a few share houses before and don't mind a chat but also value my own space (and respect others!). I have a little jack russell cross called Tarek. He’s a sweet thing who mostly enjoys cuddles and naps :) He is a little active in the morning but mostly sleeps throughout the day (friends often joke he's part cat). I keep fairly busy with gym and yoga in my spare time. I don’t mind a couple of quiet drinks on the weekend but not a big partier. I’m a fairly neat person, don’t mind a chat and cooking something delicious.
Hi! I'm Alex, moving up to Canberra from Adelaide to start a grad job in the APS. I've just finished a business degree at Adelaide uni. I'm easygoing, optimistic and enthusiastic. I'm just as happy meeting new people or spending time with housemates as I am curled up somewhere with a book. I love cooking (pancake Sundays, omelette breakfasts, stew nights anybody?), comedy, hiking, markets, brunch. I also enjoy good banter, puns, camping and relaxed weekend cycling. In my free time I like to read, explore new places and travel - though coming to terms with only four weeks off per year might be a challenge! I'd love to share with interesting, relaxed people who are up for a chat and a glass of wine/bowl of food occasionally. I've lived in sharehouses before and am happy to do my bit to keep a nice home. I've previously worked as a dishwasher and a prep cook - would love somewhere with a good kitchen. I'll be bringing/buying some new gear, too. I also don't smoke and I don't have any pets. Hope to hear from you soon, Alex
