This old home has an awesome calm atmosphere that is tangible, it's beautiful, furnished it in tune with the style. It's in a quiet street with neighbour friends, several PT options within reasonable distance; we are halfway between Brunswick and Coburg. It's a great place to live.
This brilliant townhouse is one of three on the block, and only a stone's throw from Sydney Rd. The house is split over two levels, with two lounge areas downstairs, one of which we frequently use as a home office, and bedrooms upstair. Both bedrooms have split system cooling/heating. The lounge area opens up onto a rear deck and courtyard which is north facing and gets lots of sun! There are bathrooms both upstairs and down, and we have a small bath too. The kitchen is large and modern and has loads of storage. We have a european laundry, so no treks to the laundrette. The house is about 3 mins walk to the number 19 Sydney Rd tram, 15 mins walk to Coburg or Moreland train station and ten minutes walk to Coburg shops. The tram takes about 10 mins to get to Brunswick and around 25 to the city. We are on a quiet street and there is free on-street parking. It’s sheltered from the hustle and bustle at the bottom of a nice relaxing valley, surrounded by a large lake, nice greenery and countless running tracks. It’s only a stones throw from the lake and has ample spots to chill and relax through summer. As soon as you’re up and out of the valley you find yourself on keilor rd to one side, full of restaurants and shops in nth essendon/niddrie and to the other side you find yourself in keilor east with heaps of popular cafes. Dfo is just across the highway and the 59 tram on keilor rd is not far away either making a trip into the city pretty easy! Tullamarine airport is only abot a 10min drive away. There’s currently two of us living here and we’re looking for one more easy going, happy, fun housemate to try and get a fun, social house going. The bigger of the two spare rooms on the ground floor is up for grabs, it shares a large size bathroom with one other housemate on the ground. The room can be furnished or unfurnished whatever suits you best. There is also a single car garage which is mostly free, we use it to store a few tools and have a bit of a small gym setup. I'm upstairs with my own bathroom. Upstairs is the main communal room with the kitchen/dinning and lounge with a large balcony that over looks the valley and lake which we often use for bbq’s or afternoon drinks. We are not in a huge rush to find a housemate but definitely looking for someone who is looking to stick around atleast 12 months. This house is in a nice residential street with plenty of on-street parking, a nice front-yard and a big back-yard with a huge patio that we've lined with couches (see the pics), which basically functions as an outdoor living room. It's really well-lit, modern and clean with a decently equipped kitchen (including dishwasher, gas stove and oven) and central heating. There is a veggie patch that any would-be housemate could have free reign over if they're interested. Location-wise, we are literally a five minute walk from Northland which covers almost everything (supermarkets, delis, gym, restaurants, a big Hoyts, and a heap of buses departing) - but you can barely see or hear it from our house; best of both worlds! We are also reasonably close (15 min walk) to the 86 tram and of course being in Preston you have the Preston market with everything that has to offer. Also only a few minutes from the Darebin Creek Trail which lets you cycle all the way down through the city.
