Hi Potential New Housemate, My name is John, I'm a 24yrs old Dutch guy who's in Australia since May 2018. To give you an impression of my time in Australia I decided to devide my stay here into periods: - May 2018 - October 2018 The first five months of my stay I have traveled the whole continent by car, together with a friend of mine. After he went back to Amsterdam I decided to stay in Australia for a longer time. - October 2018 - May 2019 To make this possible I had to fulfill my 88 days of farmwork requirements, which I did in the Sunshine Coast. I lived together with the couple Tommy & Jon (40+) in The Glass House Mountains for seven months. A one week AirBnb-stay turned into a small gay household for more than seven months, the best period of my life! - May 2019 - November 2019 Back home in The Netherlands I have worked as an IKEA Sales man for 4 years, so it was an easy step to work for IKEA in Brisbane as well. As soon as my farmwork requirements were fulfilled and my Visa extension was approved I moved to Camp Hill, Brisbane. I've worked as a CheckOut coworker for 6 months at IKEA Logan. - November 2019 - Future At the moment I'm working as a Sales Coworker again at IKEA North Lakes. I'm living in the beautiful area of Lutwyche together with my housemate. Unfortunately the lease of our appartent will run out in January 2020, so I need to search for another place to live for the last 4,5 months of my stay in Australia. My contract at IKEA North Lakes is 40+ hours, what means that I'm away for work a lot. I have my own car as well, so that makes me fully independant. At the moment I've a 24hrs / fortnight contract as a Sales Co-Worker at IKEA Logan. Although this is not a full time contract, I am taking over a lot of shifts from my colleagues. So I will be away for work a lot. I have my own car as well, so fully independant during my stay in Australia. I'm aiming for a place to stay at the Northside of the river where I can stay till the end of my Visa period (May 2020). Are you the potential housemate who can offer that? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About myself: My spare time consist of a lot of social activities, because I like to catch up with people and learn from them. I'm not a party type at all, but am always in for a casual drink and a chat. That's also the reason that I don't want to live by myself. It's simply too boring. Unfortunately it's still a necessity to mention nowadays.... I'm gay. All my former housemates were very open minded and also accepted me to invite friends to come over for a casual drink and a sleepover every now and then. Please know that I'm someone with a 'professional'-mindset, what means that I am aware of my housemates, their privacy and happy to adjust myself where possible. It's common sense for me to take part in the house hold tasks. A clean and tidy environment is a must for me. Maybe a bit stereotypical, but that's why I rather live with professionals than with students. I'm very curious what you think about my background and my vision of life. Preferably I want to move in as soon as possible, but am open to dates a little bit further in the future. Wanna grab a coffee to discuss the possibilities? Would like to hear from you. Dutch greetings, Gr. John

Hi, I'm looking for roommate(s) for early February. I'm French and I come to Brisbane to study at ACU. I am friendly, I can't wait to discover Australia, I like to go out with my friends but I'm also a calm and studious person when it is necessary. I am looking for respectful roommates. :)
I'm Heidi, full time ex phys :) Looking for a place to call home. I'm easy going, friendly and love adventure. Clean, always pay my bills on time. I'm out going - doing hike, beach and rock climbing. Enjoy a glass of wine and platter of cheese at the end of the working week :)
My girlfriend and I are looking for a spacious, modern house/apartment (preferably furnished or partly furnished) to share. We only have a few bits of bedroom furniture. Our preferred areas are Clayfield, Hamilton, Fairfield, Highgate Hill, Toowong, Taringa, Auchenflower and surrounding suburbs. We aren't in a rush to find a place, but we'll be willing to move quick when we find the right place. Flexible with length of stay. It would be nice to have at least 6 months on the lease. I'm a 32-year-old mechanical engineer, working in a 16:12 fly-in fly-out roster and Tabi is a 27-year-old student (aged-care work) working part time as a cleaner (offices and houses). We're both tidy non-smokers and live pretty laid-back lifestyles. We don't party much, we try to keep healthy and like going to the beach/mountains etc. in our time off. Must haves: Modern place with quality appliances, furniture, fittings, etc. and plenty of space. Garage or car port space. Share with people who are considerate, like a clean, tidy house, laid back, have fun, not into partying everyday. Friendly housemates with a good balanced lifestyle. Nice to haves: Nice view, balcony, shed/storage/work space, close to airport, close to city, situated in an area with lots of trees and parks.
In search of a spatious share house or apartment with natural light and a private bathroom. Happy to team up with one person and find our own place (I have one in mind already). I work at Nike and study full-time at QUT. On weeknights, I like to attend casual dance classes in the city, hangout with friends or chill at home. I hope we all can invite guests or have a partner stay over, with a little heads up. I’m not strict on a cleaning schedule, as I keep areas clean and tidy as I go.
Hey, I’m Issy! I’m a 20 year old full-time Uni student and work multiple jobs. I’m looking to move out of my current home at the end of this year and start a new journey with new people! I don’t smoke, I have a car, I consider myself very neat and tidy and I don’t have any pets (😢) but LOVE animals. I enjoy the occasional drink with my housemates and meeting new people but also respect personal space and love a bit of alone-time. I can’t wait to find a new place to call home!
Hey there, I'm an electrician, train for powerlifting and love to have a chat. Unfortunately the lease is up at my current house and everyone is going separate ways. Send me a message if you're interested and we'll tee up a time! Cheers, Dylan.
Howdy, I am Jared and moving back up to Brisbane in December. I work in the mines doing emergency services on a FIFO week on week off roster. I like to spend my free time outdoors at the beach, hiking or at the gym. I am a very active and healthy person and enjoy cooking. I am very reliable, clean, honest and considerate and would definitely like my future housemate/s to be the same. Seeing as I’m not around half the time I’m not looking to spend a large amount on a room. If you are someone that would prefer a FIFO worker and willing to drop the rent a little, do let me know! Potential for a long term arrangement if I get along with my future roomies!
Hi all. I'm house-trained, quite friendly and outgoing without being smothering. I've lived by myself for a number of years, so there's no domestic task I'm unfamiliar with. I am more dinner-party than massive-party-party, but still quite social and approachable all the same. I'm LGBTIQ-friendly and have generally left-wing/progressive values, without being (ironically, of course) a bit of a Nazi about it. The need-to-know stuff: I'm a non-smoker, and currently don't have a Significant Other. I don't have a pet, but quite like them, depending on cleanliness etc. I do play a variety of reasonably noisy musical instruments, but am quite conscientious with practice times. I'm full-time employed, and have my own furniture. I'm looking for a large room, to share in a friendly house with like-minded types round my own age. I'm after the kind of house where we're ideally be friends, and enjoy the occasional housemate dinner or outing. I am also looking for something quite clean - I did do the whole student-rat-hovel thing in my 20s, and it's not an experience I'm keen to repeat (the inoculations may have worn off). Look forward to hearing from you - Jeremy.
