Hey my name's Jayden, I'm 22 and I am originally from Adelaide. I'm moving to Brisbane for work as an airline pilot. I will be working shifts and may be away for an occasional night. I enjoy the outdoors and will be looking to explore a lot of Brisbane and Queensland. Having a flatmate that knows of many places to go and things to do would be a great bonus! When I'm not outside, I enjoy playing the guitar and the piano, as well as just relaxing at home watching Netflix, playing games or just chatting. I'm very flexible to the provisions of the accommodation, however, I would strictly like to be staying with a flatmate who does not smoke.
I'm a full time worker and with a fur baby. She is friendly, chilled and happy. I like a clean and tidy environment where everyone does there fair share and cleans up after themselves. I'm not a partier, however i enjoy a wine/drink and social chat/bbq on occasions. Enjoy keeping healthy with my dog and getting to the gym when I can. I get along with everyone unless your a bum😉
Hi, my name is Sam. I’m a super social, relaxed, clean person. Happy to live in a social household or a quiet one. Love animals, weekend markets and spending time with my friends and family. I am a counsellor and will be starting my new full time role in the next few weeks so looking to start finding a new home to live in :)
I’m an easy going, laid back person with the ability to get along with nearly anyone; I work long hours & am in the gym 6 days a week so I won’t be under your feet much! I love lazy weekends & am not big into clubbing so I promise not to wake you at ungodly hours. Just looking for a safe place to unwind at the end of each day without having to stress about conflict/tension in what hopefully will be our home. Not overly OCD so I’m not going to get pissy if you leave your socks around the house; just want chilled people that have no interest in drama & handle conflict with maturity. :)
Moved over from New Zealand 6 months ago as an Au Pair but love i love Brisbane too much to leave just yet! I now have a job at the Brisbane Airport, so looking for rooms near there for an easy commute. I am a tidy person, i’d say i would keep to myself most of the time but always up for a chat or dinner! I can always provide references if you’d like :)
Hi Potential New Housemate, My name is John, I'm a 24yrs old Dutch guy who's in Australia since May 2018. To give you an impression of my time in Australia I decided to devide my stay here into periods: - May 2018 - October 2018 The first five months of my stay I have traveled the whole continent by car, together with a friend of mine. After he went back to Amsterdam I decided to stay in Australia for a longer time. - October 2018 - May 2019 To make this possible I had to fulfill my 88 days of farmwork requirements, which I did in the Sunshine Coast. I lived together with the couple Tommy & Jon (40+) in The Glass House Mountains for seven months. A one week AirBnb-stay turned into a small gay household for more than seven months, the best period of my life! - May 2019 - September 2019 Back home in The Netherlands I have worked as an IKEA Sales man for 4 years, so it was an easy step to work for IKEA in Brisbane as well. As soon as my farmwork requirements were fulfilled and my Visa extension was approved I moved to Camp Hill, Brisbane. At the moment I've a 24hrs / fortnight contract as a Sales Co-Worker at IKEA Logan. Although this is not a full time contract, I am taking over a lot of shifts from my colleagues. So I will be away for work a lot. I have my own car as well, so fully independant during my stay in Australia. - September 2019 - Future My Visa conditions allow me to only work for the same employer for six months. In November 2019 I will be transfered to the IKEA store in North Lakes. They offered me a 40hrs / fortnight contract to work as a Sales Co-worker again, core area Kitchens this time. This is also why I want to move my way to the North side of the Brisbane, to avoid the traffic jams around the river. One thing is for sure: I really want to find a place where I can stay till the end of my Visa (May 2020). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About myself: My spare time consist of a lot of social activities, because I like to catch up with people and learn from them. I'm not a party type at all, but am always in for a casual drink and a chat. That's also the reason that I don't want to live by myself. It's simply too boring. Unfortunately it's still a necessity to mention nowadays.... I'm gay. All my former housemates were very open minded and also accepted me to invite friends to come over for a casual drink and a sleepover every now and then. Please know that I'm someone with a 'professional'-mindset, what means that I am aware of my housemates, their privacy and happy to adjust myself where possible. It's common sense for me to take part in the house hold tasks. A clean and tidy environment is a must for me. Maybe a bit stereotypical, but that's why I rather live with professionals than with students. IMPORTANT TO MENTION: My best friend from The Netherlands will come over from the 22nd of October till the 30th of October 2019. I haven't seen him for 1,5 years, so I would love to have him close while he's in Brisbane. I will have the full time off when he's here, so we will be busy exploring everything Brisbane has to offer. It would be great if he could stay over during his visit as well, even if it's just in my room. I'm very curious what you think about my background and my vision of life. Preferably I want to move in as soon as possible, but am open to dates a little bit further in the future. Wanna grab a coffee to discuss the possibilities? Would like to hear from you. Dutch greetings, Gr. John
Uni student studying my masters at UQ and also working part time at St Vincent’s Northside Hospital. Very tidy and clean. Reliable with rent and household duties. Willing to pay $150-200 a week depending on the room.
Clean and working professional. Enjoy a laugh and a chat, and love camping and scuba diving. Looking for a place preferably near public transport to the city and with my own bathroom but somewhat flexible on that. Not really keen on a party house but happy to be somewhere social. Love dogs but sadly allergic to cats.
Hello there :) I'm 23 and work full time at the airport. I'm an easy going person and can pretty much have a conversation about anything :) Since I work at the airport my shifts change on a monthly basis so this means I could be working early mornings one month and late nights the next. You don't have to worry about cleaning cause I do it on a day to day bases because it's a habit. During my free time I'm either eating, going for a run, hiking somewhere or reading. I am also a very neat and tidy person. Most days I'm busy with either work or the gym so I'm usually only home in the afternoons/night time.
