I'm looking to move into an existing sharehouse around mid-late October onwards, with move-in date flexible. I'm a 25 year old female PhD student at the University of Queensland, where I also tutor par-time. I'd describe myself more of an introvert than a party person, but I love a good wine or a few drinks on a Sunday afternoon. I generally go to UQ about 3-4 times a week and otherwise work at home with my dog. I have a gorgeous 2 year old west highland terrier called Louie! He is desexed, up to date on all vaccinations, etc. He is generally a pretty chill little dude to live with and likes to sleep and sunbake as he pleases. He is an indoor dog and has always had access to common areas (e.g. living room). He's a friendly little guy, so if you too have a dog I'm sure they'd be great friends, but it would be great for them to meet first.
My name is Diana. I am from Costa Rica and I am 30 years old. I am about to start my Ph.D studies at Griffith University. I'll arrive in Brisbane the first week of October and I am looking for a nice place to live. I am an easy going and tidy person. I am academic researcher and love the outdoors
I'm looking for a social house :) Preferably more nerdy than a party house. I like board games, sci fi, and making stuff with yarn. I'm goth and a night owl, but I try not to keep people up with loud music. I'm a Master's student studying Public Health at QUT Kelvin Grove , and receive Youth Allowance from Centrelink. I've never been late on rent, and I prefer to have bills included so I don't stress. I clean up after myself most of the time, but due to chronic illness I have days where I am only well enough to rinse off a plate and deal with it later. I've got my own furniture, and any room needs to fit a double bed, and few other things like a coffee table and small drawers. Oh, and no smoking and no drugs please.
Hey, I'm Rachel, 25, and I was studying arts (philosophy/writing/French) at UQ this semester, right up till the census date. I'm now planning to work and volunteer for a bit while getting projects ready on the side for honours. So I’d be looking for a job locally, but I’ll be starting regular volunteering straight away. I like reading, nature, gardening, philosophy, art, aesthetics, and design, and am working on several philanthropic projects, especially in education for kids and laypeople. As a housemate, I’m considerate, clean, and tidy (in the common areas, always - although in my own room things can pile up!). I love chats, shared meals, birthdays, games and outings. I like my own space too. If we sound like a good match, I’d love to have a chat!
Hi, my name is Rachel. I'm a full time high school teacher. I'm super easy going and tidy. I recently moved from the Gold Coast to north Brizzy, but finding a place closer to CBD. I like surfing, music, fashion, reading and baking (side hobby). On weekends I like to go surfing, catch up with friends and family.
My name's Sophie and I'm studying journalism at UQ while working part-time at the ABC in South Bank. I'm really friendly, super tidy, and would love to become friends with my housemates. I'm a huge fan of puppies (although sadly I don't have one in Brisbane), scary movies, and coffee. If you know of any great cafes around the area you're living, PLEASE share them with me so I can continue to eat smashed avo and never be able to afford a house deposit!!
I'm Ruby, I'm an artist who finished a degree in game design last year and am now working full time in retail. I have a 2 year old greyhound rescue named Travis who adores everyone and everything, and is the sweetest most quiet and clean boy in the world. We are inseparable! I am looking for somewhere close to public transport, ideally below $250 per week each. My perfect housemate is someone who is clean and quiet. I like to keep to myself and work 5 days a week, I'm very tidy and don't make a lot of mess or noise.
Room for rent in our amazing west end palace on the hill! This house is located upon Highgate Hill one block from the park with amazing views of the city. You'll also have your choice of spacious, breezy verandas to chill on around the house and even a pool to cool off or a Balinese-style pagoda out the back! The location is perfect, just in the limits of West End so you will have all the activity of the neighbour but at the same time the quiet of Highgate Hill. The 199 and 60 City Glyder stops are just 10 and 12 min walking The room itself is not too big, so it is better for someone that does not have a lot of stuff (although there is lots of storage space). Rent is $179 pw plus bills (water, gas, internet). Bond is $850. Room is currently furnished with a double bed, although this can be removed if needed.

(available from the end of September) Note: We have a spare room in case you need to move in earlier. Please read below The house: It is a beautiful and cosy 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms Queenslander with wooden floor in most of the house. It is very well ventilated with windows in every room. There's plenty of space for everyone in the house with two living rooms, one at the front and one at the back which opens up to a beautiful patio and garden (our favourite spot). There are two kitchens in the house so you will have your own cooking space with fridge and cupboard. There's also plenty of storage in different wardrobes. Location: Shops, train, bus stop (2 minutes away). Walking distance to West End and South Bank. Very convenient for anyone working in the city or nearby, studying at UQ, QUT or Griffith. As a reference: To or from UQ: 25 min walk, 7 min by bus (192), 10 min ride To or from the city: 38 min walk, 20 min by bus (192, 196), 15 min ride 15 min walk to Park Rd or south bank train stations. The room for rent: the room is perfectly located downstairs having an independent entrance through the front of the house and connected to the other living areas from inside. This room is the largest in the house (4,7x 4,9 m) and the coolest in summer, well ventilated and lighted. The room is fully furnished, but you are welcome to bring your own furniture too. You will also have your own bathroom and laundry space. About us: We are in our early 30's both working full time. Our third member of the family is Ben, a 5 years old very affectionate and adorable cat. We are both sociable and very easy going, enjoy a good chat, cooking and sharing a good meal with our housemates when the occasion arises. In our spare time at home, we enjoy listening to good music, reading, playing the guitar and watching movies now and then. The new housemate: The right housemate would be a mature (late 20s, 30s-40s) reliable person, honest and committed to pay the rent on time and willing to contribute to the maintenance of the house and garden. Basically, someone who has a sense of belonging to the place where she/he lives. Most importantly, we would like to share with someone with a positive attitude who can bring good energies to our home. Someone clean and tidy, respectful, friendly, easy-going who we can have a good communication with. Someone sociable who can enjoy sharing with us from time to time but also likes independence. We love music so ideally, our housemate enjoys music as much as we do. We start our daily routine early in the morning, so a morning person would be great too. Ben is very important to us, so we would like someone who also likes cats too. We would like to maintain an environmentally conscious household so someone aligned to such values is a must. Couples might be considered. (Sorry, no pets) Bond = 4 x weeks rent The room is currently furnished with a Queen size bed, two wardrobes, bookcase, drawer chest and lamp. Some of these can be removed if required. If this sounds like something that matches with you, please feel free to contact us to meet and check out the house.

Charming old three bedroom Queenslander house, a quiet leafy street in Highgate Hill. A quick walk to the centre of West end. A quick cycle to UQ, QUT, Brisbane Convention Centre, and the City Centre. The room is beautiful and sunny, quiet and far from the street. Some rules to keep in mind: No smoking in the house but you are welcome to do it in the garden. No candles or naked flames in the house (100 year old houses burn frighteningly fast). There's a washing machine available, please consider how much water you use by running full loads when possible. Australia is a very dry country, please limit your showers to 5 minutes and use only as much water you need when brushing your teeth and washing your dishes. Please remember to communicate, if you need something please ask. This is not a party house.

Chilean guy, been living in Brisbane for 2 Years now. I'm very respectful, social and look after myself and the place I live in. I can be a mess when it comes to my room, but I always look to contribute to the general cleaning and maintenance of the common areas of a house. I don't party, my favourite plan for a Friday is to go out to a pub with friends or stay home watching a movie or playing boardgames or videogames. I'm currently studying a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and working in a childcare centre in the CBD.

Cosy furnished room in Highgate Hill, inc. all bills! Hi, We love living in this beautiful refurbished house, in a quiet and safe location with great sunny river views. As we are a mix of students and full time workers, we go out to party and come home to relax, so if you're looking for a mad party house this ain't for you. We do however enjoy the odd glass of wine and meal together, often sitting out on our great balcony. We are close to all public transport, the Universities, Southbank, West End, and the CBD. The room is small but cute and best suited to someone with a backpack and a smile, without a lot of belongings, so most probably a student. It gets some morning sun , and it comes complete with a single bed, two wardrobes, wooden floors, a TV, desk, chair and plenty of charm. It would ideally suit a single person looking for a great home. The house also features a sunny balcony, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, BBQ, large garden and two bathrooms. Please note we are seeking someone looking for a longer term home, with a minimum of 6 months lease.
Rent your space/yard 2 humans & 2 friendly cats are looking for a lovely green, calm space (not a party house) only a few minutes' walk to local amenities and with a short commute to where we both work in the CBD. A small granny flat type space with a bathroom would be ideal, with somewhere to plug in our fridge etc. We also have a tiny caravan and outdoor furniture that we are hoping to be able to have set up. We're just happy relaxing, doing our own thing; more reclusive than outgoing. We have been renting for some years and are looking to save and travel whilst living more mindfully. Flexible with price up to $200 pw and can lease month to month, help out around the yard/house and care for the place or animals while you are on holidays. If you are like us - respectful, tidy, LGBTQ inclusive - then we'd love to chat with you. :)
