I’m a (36-F) PhD student in computer music from the US. I build synthesizers, perform, and write a lot of code. I’ll be in Brisbane for a year to do dissertation research at QCGU. I generally prefer being outdoors to indoors if I’m not working. I like to garden, I’m both a dog and cat person, and strive for a minimalist life style (clutter free). I have fairly strict eating habits (vegetarian, gluten and dairy free), but I don’t impose my diet on others. Would be happy to live in a mixed-gender household, and open to locals or other international students. I’ll spend most of my days at school. I like to have a quiet space at home for recharging, but happy to visit and host guests occasionally. I enjoy going to shows (music, art, theater) as well as hiking and exploring. Since I've just moved here in only 2 suitcases, and trying to keep things simple, I'm looking for a furnished bedroom. Thanks! :)
I’m a non-smoking, no-pets, no kids, middle-aged and young-at-heart, Canadian/Australian female, tidy, responsible, friendly/sociable yet also respectful of others’ living space. I've lived in a lot of sharehouses in multiple countries and value easy-going, open communication. I'm a long-term Brisbane resident who's relocated back from Melbourne. Have worked professionally in the public and corporate sectors in QLD and overseas - currently on break from my part-time Master of Environment studies. My interests include yoga, swimming, cooking healthy meals, easy cycling/hiking, arthouse films, sustainability and community volunteering. Seeking a non-smoking, pet-free household to share with 1 or 2 people (couples OK). Unfortunately although I love dogs and cats, I'm allergic to both. I have a car so would need either on-street parking or parking spot, if available. Prefer a relatively quiet household but I'm up for friendly chats, sharing an occasional meal/cuppa with housemates or watching TV (e.g. news, docco or The Simpsons). I don’t drink alcohol but am fine with my flatmates having the occasional drink. Move-in date flexible. References available.
Looking ahead to see what is available at the end of July. Riding distance to QUT is a must. Preferably furnished as I will be staying 7 months maximum. I hope to find a place, quiet and relaxing to return to after a long day of study or work. I keep myself rather busy but will always be up for a chat when hanging out at home. I'm easy to get along with and appreciate a clean home. If you think I'd be a good fit, send a message !

Hey there! I'm a full-time student and a part-time worker. Prefer a home than a house. Looking to move IMMEDIATELY or as soon as possible! I'm very sociable and as curious about different cultures and backgrounds as i am respectful. I prefer to live with mentally mature and stable people. (Please!) And no, that does not translate to boring and dull people. Don't get me wrong, i like to have fun and love to joke around when appropriate. Heck, i might even be one of the quirkiest people you'll ever come across. Well, enough about that, moving on to more of my wonderful qualities. (Just kidding) The ideal housemate when it comes to privacy, cleaning up after myself and keeping noise to a minimum. I'm into hiking, cycling, movies, having a good chat and spirituality among a bunch of other things. Cheers!
Hello there, my name is Ginger and from South Korea. I am full time chef working from 6:30 till 3pm. Usually I have day off on Wednesday and Thursday. I have a second bedroom to rent. It has a new double bed and I will put more furniture in there. As the car garage for my unit is currently empty, so you can put your car if you have. As I'm normally cook at home (usually Asian food) , I hope someone who is familiar with Asian food. You can be my guest sometime of course with nice beverage. Please feel free to contact me anytime. Thanks. Ginger
Boring Disclaimer: 150 per week is my absolute maximum, and it must include bills and internet. I am on Youth Allowance. If you can see this listing, I still need a home :) Basic Requirements: I am looking for a place with easy access to public transport, particularly between QUT Kelvin Grove and the Gabba/Annerley. No pets that shed, it seems to make my allergies worse. No smokers, no 420. Room needs to be mostly unfurnished, and be able to comfortably fit a double bed, desk, and room for clothes storage containers. Better things: I am studying a Master's Degree in Public Health. In my spare time, I go to a weekly D&D session, and also like to hang out with friends and play board games (cooler than Monopoly) . I also love watching stuff on Netflix, or streaming things like Archer, Rick and Morty, American Gods, Brooklyn 99 etc. I can knit and crochet, and sometimes I like to invite friends over to watch things while crafting. Looking for a house where I can hang out with my housemates and have fun, but also have my own space when I need to study. I keep late hours, but try to make sure that I keep the noise down.
Hi, I will start my PhD at UQ. First time in Australia. Originally from Germany but working in the Netherlands. I am looking forward to meeting new people and finding a nice place to stay. Clean, relaxed and an overall friendly guy. I've got plenty of experience living in shared houses and never had or created a problem. I respect privacy but I am always up for something fun. I like sports (Basketball, Bouldering/Climbing,..) and enjoy the occasional BBQ. Would be great to live with different nationalities (maybe expend my French) but that's just a personal thought. Other than that I am looking for a nice place to come home to after a long day and just relax. Kind regards, Nils
One large room available in a quiet quaint house with lovely character. Brand new bathroom! Gas cooking, timber floor throughout. We're after professional or later year students. It's a large room with aircon and a second with ceiling fan. Fibre Internet broadband, water, gas, and electricity are all included. Parking is on the street.Very convenient location and quiet house to south bank, nearby school and Mater hospital. We'd prefer a girl to keep the balance but open to boys, or at least men:) Looking for fun, respectful, clean, compassionate, mature, considerate self-aware folk with a positive attitude. Yeah, that’s all loaded, though if you’re the right person you want to see it here:)
We are a Polish-Chinese couple who are moving to Brisbane. I work as a visiting researcher at QUT for the next 6 months and we are looking for a place to stay. We used to live in New Zealand and therefore understand the requirements of comfortable flatting. My girlfriend is in mid twenties and I am in early thirties. We are clean and easy going. We like to share a meal once in a while with others, but also respect flatmates privacy. I arrived to Brisbane and Melody will arrive on Sunday. We are looking for a place walking/cycling distance away from QUT Gardens Point campus. Ideally, I would like to inspect a room on Thursday or Friday (22-23.06) and move in asap after that.
We're a fun, friendly, happy couple. Both non-smoking and not into drugs. Very respectful, discreet, non-judgmental and sincere. Enjoy going out to music and partner dancing but not into having big parties at home. Have experiences with house share and couch surfing. We only wish to share with non-smokers, need a car park space and prefer furnished. Also need fast internet for work from home video conferencing and remote access IT support. Walking short distance to Brisbane CBD would be perfect! Currently interstate and not in Brisbane until July 22nd so we'll have to sign any contracts via online or post.
I'm a Biologist from Spain. I am going to Brisbane to improve my English and learn the most that I can about the Australian wildlife. As a housemate, I am tidy, calm and easygoing, and I like to spend time with my housemates, but I also like to have time for me. :)
Hey there! I'm Molly, I'm 22 years old and am looking for a place to call home. I'm looking for a house that's not too noisy. I work part-time and am starting a degree in Visual Arts in August. I'm friendly and creative and tend to keep to myself, but love having a wine, chats and listening to music. I'm fairly active and am a morning person. I also LOVE plants and gardening and have a few plants of my own to bring to the home. When I'm not working or studying I love exploring the outdoors, creating art, listening to music and going to fun, random things. I'm a vegetarian, environmentally conscious and generally an easy going person to live with :)
We are two friends searching for separate beds in one room, either single room (max 200 $/per week - per person). We are on working holiday visa and would like to stay here at least 3 months. We both have education (bachelor in marketing and master in business IT.
I am a Danish undergraduate student in computer science, going on exchange to University of Queensland for one semester. I also plan on doing an internship abroad, so depending on where I will get a position, I might need a room in Brisbane for one year. I am laid back and outgoing. I like to be around other people, go out and be active and do whatever fits the moment. Right now I have lived in a dorm with 22 people on the floor for almost two years, so I am used to live with other people. We share two kitchens and three bathrooms so I know how important it is to tidy up after yourself and make sure that there is space for everyone. I have been to two schools that are unique for Denmark where you live at the school sharing the room with one or two other persons, so again, I know how to live close with other people. When I am not studying, I like to hang out with people, playing games, chill in a park, go for a run or take a trip in the weekend. I like to do sports and have tried some different dances at my uni (swing, salsa and breakdance) and I have done capoeira for some years. I hope to be able to continue with some of it in Brisbane, but I also have a big plan to learn to surf and dive (I have to, I am going to Australia). I hope to find a place with some nice people (there are different kinds of nice), that I can do things with, so where I will live won't just be a place to sleep.
Relaxed friendly clean. Like art, sports, music, gardening and pets. I'm pretty easy going but not an early bird. Like to cook maybe share a few dinners and glass of wine. Work part time as a visual merchandiser, like to paint, garden and swim in my spare time. I'm originally from Melbourne and moved to Brisbane a yr ago. I have a 16 yr old daughter who would visit a few times a yr. I love all sports especially AFL and enjoy going to see live music. I also have a beautiful 9yr old dog , Samoyed x golden retriever . She is very friendly well trained and generally just loves company and to just hang out and watch the goings on of the house. Would love a chilled vibe with no dramas. Prefer min 6 mths. Looking for somewhere that feels like home.
