What is spotlight?

Be seen first. Spotlight is an app feature that places your listing front and centre in your preferred suburb for 7 days.

How does it work?

Spotlight gets you in front of more potential flatmates, faster. While it’s active, you’ll show up in a featured carousel on their homepage, and your messages will jump to the top of their inbox.

You’ll only show up for people in one of your preferred locations. You’ll pick which one at the next step.

How many spotlights are available?

To keep things fair, only 12 people can be spotlighted in each suburb at any one time. That way potential flatmates see a curated handful of people motivated to move into their home, not a wall of paid profiles.

If your preferred suburb is full, we’ll let you know before you pay.

Am I eligible for a spotlight?

Only members with an upgraded plan (Basic or Full) will be eligible to purchase a spotlight.

Members with a Full plan get one free spotlight included.

Can I buy spotlight at any time?

Yes! As long as there’s a spot open in your preferred suburb.

Will this guarantee I find a room?

No. Spotlight increases your visibility to people with rooms, but finding the right place still depends on the conversations you have from there.

People are choosing who they’ll share their home with, so not every room will be the right fit. The more detailed your profile, the easier it is for the right people to recognise you’re a good fit.
