It's a 10 minute walk to Swinburne University. Tram, train station and Glenferrie Road shops are approximately a 15 minute walk. It's a friendly household. I am a neat & tidy student who is pursuing his Master's degree at Victoria University Cityflinders campus. Along with that, I have a job in Melbourne so it is possible that I could be the least available person at the flat but I would love to have a chit chat on the weekends. I respect the privacy of others but would love to hang out with my flatmates occasionally. Likewise, I would like to help with cleaning and cooking as well.
It's a very spacious room with a queen size bed and built in wardrobe, desk and chair. The house has 4 bedrooms (over two levels) , 2 living areas, 3 bathrooms (one couple has an ensuite so there is less sharing), nice clean kitchen (with a dishwasher!), laundry (with washing machine/dryer), and a sunny deck out the front with a high fence for privacy. The available room has a big window with new carpet. The room itself is a bit small ( but has comfortably fit a queen bed, bedside table and shelving unit. The house has storage under the stairs and a massive double garage for anything extra you bring. Walking distance to High Street (Coles, Woolies, Dan Murphy’s, restaurants etc) and less than 5 minutes walk to major tram and bus stops.
Welcome! I'm Charlotte, aspiring/future student to do my bachelor of arts. I'm moving new to the area due to needing change and more work opportunities. I am a very easy going person, friendly and quirky. I enjoy the outdoors, going cycling, walks, yoga or pilates. I have an creative side too, I enjoy photography, editing and painting. Being new to the area, I'm hoping to gain new connections with possible friendships with the new housemates I end up living with. At the same time I do respect your privacy and quiet time, very clean and respectful and always clean up after myself. If you've read up to this - I appreciate you! I hope to meet you soon!
Hello potential future housemate/s I'm Lisa (29) I work as a Florist and Craig (29) is currently working part time at BWS and is doing a full time pre-apprenticeship to be an Electrician. We’re both currently living in short term house in Hawthorn at the moment (as we’ve not long returned from a working holiday throughout Canada, US and UK.) We’re both clean, quiet and we’re friendly. We’re both non smokers and not big drinkers. After our travels we’re pretty keen to get back onto focusing on our careers, we're both currently studying/working. It's likely we'll be in and out of the house quite a bit. We're both social, like dining out, being outdoors when the weather permits, seeing friends and family on weekends and being active in our free time. We're both really easy going, our perfect idea of a living situation is one where we can relax with a cup of tea and a book without imposing on anyone but at the same time feel comfortable with whoever's around. We have lived in share houses in Australia as well as overseas and always paid rent/bills on time, respect others property/space. Can provide references if needed. Craig likes exercising, trying to be vegetarian (succeeds 95% of the time), Joe Rogan podcasts, reading and patting strange dogs in the street. I (Lisa) love cooking, doing various arts and crafts, I love cleaning; find it therapeutic (yes I'm a freak, I know) being a florist it's likely I'll regularly put out a nice vase on display, love house plants various warm beverages and nice smells.
*Full disclosure-I am seeking a private room in a house or sharehouse, not a shared room* I am great to have a chat with about anything popular culture. I highly value cleanliness and hygiene. I don't demand that my room be massive or anything like that. I like being productive and organised. If the house is within walking distance of or a tram ride to the nearest train station that would be great. If you could provide me with an ironing board and vacuum cleaner that'd be nice, but I am willing to buy my own. If I want to have friends over for the night, I will let you know well in advance. I love music and I would like to be allowed to listen to it freely in my own room, and with headphones on while using the kitchen and living areas. I rarely drink these days, but I would still like to be allowed to store any alcohol I may buy in the fridge. The kind of set-up I'm looking for is to have a desk, a wardrobe and a window. In terms of the shower, my preference is for it to be behind glass as opposed to a curtain. Heating is an absolute must, especially in the weather we are experiencing this season. If there is a mirror in my room, I would like it to be full-body length. I am fine with moving in with a family, as long as it is not a family of young children
