Hi, my name is John, 33yrs old, single male with a military background. I enjoy exercising, listening to music, going to the movies, fishing, mountain biking, running round the lake, having a drink at the weekend, and astrophotography. My story: I grew up in Scotland and joined the military when I was 20 yrs old. After serving in Afghan, I worked in maritime security (Indian Ocean), then I moved to Australia to follow my then girlfriend. The move to Aus was easy as my mother was born here but moved back to scotland at a young age. This has allowed me to hold an Aussie passport from birth. Once I arrived here, I did the typical tourist thing and bought a van (from Kings Cross) to tour the east coast; Sydney to Cairns. The van broke down on the first hill out of Sydney (true story) which was a bummer but all part of life’s rich tapestry I imagine. After travelling, I picked up work with a commercial bomb disposal company. I now work as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician and travel around Australia/Asia Pacific clearing sites. I work away from home 2-4 months of the year. Lastly, the disclaimers; I am tidy, respectful of others privacy and accomodating of others needs. I am always willing to help where I can as your flatmate.
Hello! I have relocated from Brisbane for a grad role here in Canberra. I'm 22 and like to live a pretty routine lifestyle throughout the week, but love to get out and about, and away for the weekends. I am hoping for easy going and social housemates, who can appreciate clean and tidy shared living spaces. Looking to team up with some like minded people to create a happy, home away from home.
My wonderful housemate is moving overseas so I am looking for another friendly, respectful and clean housemate. One unfurnished room, your own bathroom and a secure carpark is available. The apartment gets morning sun and the room can fit a double or queen bed with bedside tables (or drawers/shelf) and has a built-in mirrored robe and two large windows. (the furniture in the bedroom pictures is from a previous housemate but if you come to view the room you can see another way that it can be set up) The rest of the apartment is mostly furnished though I will do my best to accommodate any other furniture you might have. - Apartment is only a few years old with a washing machine, dishwasher, dryer, intercom and reverse-cycle air conditioning in the living room - Main bathroom to yourself - Cosy living space with a comfy modular sofa and room for a TV if you have one (otherwise happy to put my TV in the living room) - Quality kitchen with plenty of storage and bench space, though my housemate is taking her fridge so if you have one that would be a bonus - Secure underground carpark and plenty of visitor car parking - Central inner South location, 10 mins walk (5 mins drive) from Fyshwick Markets, Kingston Shops and Kingston Foreshore - Close to bus stops, Manuka and Griffith shops Please no pets, couples or smokers. Available 22 April.
Hey I’m max I moved out of an abusive environment when I was 16 and never looked back, I really want to finish yr 12 at dickson colledge but won’t be able to unless I can find long term accommodation. I’m trying not to stress but i only have 3 days to move out and nobody is replying which means I will end up homeless again. I was staying with some really nice people but they are moving out of state in two weeks so house has become unavailable, so as soon as a place is available I would move in immediately. I have a job at a wearhouse and work as much as I can. I’m a clean, consider others and hope you can look past the fact I’m 17.
Hi there! I'm moving to Canberra from Melbourne and am looking for a room for around 3-6 months, preferably beginning within the next 2 - 6 weeks, and in the $100-150 range. Pretty flexible with location (north, south, etc) and not fussed if furnished or unfurnished. Am a tidy, clean person, good with animals and generally quiet but more than happy to chill out with housemates :) Willing to split bills and obviously do my share of housework. I enjoy gaming or heading out for coffee/movies/casual drinks in my free time. Let me know if you're interested!
Hi! I have recently moved up here for work. As I work full time down in Tuggeranong, I am looking to share a house on the south side, however, depending on the house/price etc, I could live anywhere that's close to transport. I have a car as well so some form of parking is a must. I have all the usual qualities you would expect from a flatmate - reliable w/ rent and bills, clean, respectful, sociable. I play music (piano and a bit of drums) but keep the noise between business hours ;) I am looking to pay a max of approx. $220 per week, but can be flexible. Please get in touch if you have any questions or offers. Looking to move by mid April at the latest! Ta Owen
I am a 24 year old full-time APS worker, and part time student. My days are mostly spent being active, working and studying. I enjoy being social and having a glass of wine or 2 on weekends. I am friendly, respectful and tidy. I am originally from Adelaide, but moved here for work August last year. Have been staying with my uncle, but now looking for somewhere of my own :)
I'm a clean and tidy guy, friendly and keen to make a new bunch of friends/ housemates. Experience in house sharing, have lived for a full year with 3 girls, and am currently sharing with a guy and girl. I finished a media degree, doing some freelance videographer work and working full-time at a sports bar at the moment. Also enjoy guitar and ride a postie bike. Feel free to contact me.
Hey! I'm a 29 year old professional from Brisbane working full-time in the city. I'm experienced in sharehouse living who has lived with all sorts of people. I'm very conscientious who expects the same in others. I'm always open for a good chat over a glass of wine but also respect the privacy of others. I like to keep a pretty healthy and active lifestyle but also love to veg out and watch a great movie. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
Hey I'm Sean, I have recently moved to Canberra to work in the public service. I am also currently half way through a Masters degree at university. I am an independent person and tidy person but am also up to have chat about stuff if you are interested. I'm usually a stay at home kind of person, but I keen to see more of Canberra and what it has to offer if it's with others.
Hey, I'm Loren. I work full time and study so live a pretty busy life and would love a friendly and comfortable house to come home to. I'm a chatty person, love shitty TV, tea and I've always had a great relationships with old housemates.
Hey, I'm Katie! An easy going young professional relocating from Melbourne to Canberra to join the APS. I'm neat, tidy and like to maintain a clean home environment. I love socialising but understand the need for personal space especially after a busy work day. I'm a great cook and can bake like a boss so you can always expect something yummy in the kitchen! I work a 9-5 job and maintain an organised routine; will spend most weeknights going for a run, making dinner and chilling in front of Netflix. I'm a Melbourne girl at heart so most of my weekends will consist of brunching and of course a good coffee! Let me know if you're interested!
Hey! I'm moving to Canberra for work late March. I work full time in the APS. I'm a home owner and have 9 ish years of rental experience. I love socialising over a wine and dinner but also understand the need for privacy. I will be exploring Canberra on weekends when i get the chance. Love going out for brunch and wines. Pretty chilled, friendly guy who enjoys cooking! Lover of travels. Lucky enough to have spent 3 years travelling abroad. I am clean and tidy all the time and overall a great house mate :P
Hi all, I'm a sociable and respectful roommate who works full-time. I moved from Tasmania 4 years ago and have lived in two houseshares, two years in Kaleen and two years in Yarralumla (currently still renting here). My current houseshare is splitting up unfortunately as the owner is returning, meaning we will have to vacant the premises. I have a few household items (washing machine, vacuum cleaner, 50 inch TV, etc) that might help towards a current or potential houseshare. I have lived with a mix of couples, males and females where we have had a mutual understanding to actively participate in the household cleaning. Ideally, I am looking for somewhere close to the city (so I don't have to pay for parking whilst at work). My interests include my love for sports (especially rugby), and any dogs (my parents own 4 beautiful Rotties). I tend to spend the majority of the week out of the house, either at work or at training. My move date is flexible and am willing met any others looking to team up or believe I may be a good fit for their place. Thanks for taking the time to read the above..
The room is in a really spacious apartment in a quiet leafy street in old Kingston. It's a really good sized room, easily fits a queen sized bed, desk and bedside tables with a large built in wardrobe. The apartment has three balconies, one is huge and shared between this room and the other large room, one is at the front and the other is used by the third room. The kitchen and bathroom are newly renovated with plenty of storage space in both. The house is completely furnished, you only need to furnish your room! It's a 2 minute walk one way to the Kingston shops and a 5 minute walk the other to the Kingston foreshore!
G'day, my name is Matt. Just recently moved to Canberra from Brisbane. I'm a young professional working in the ADF. Looking for a lively bunch of young professionals to explore this new city! I'm a very outgoing and lively character, which I probably take after my German Filipino heritage. Love to cook and have a chat, but also respect peoples privacy and space. I'm a big fitness lover which I use to balance out my unhealthy obsession with food, especially brunch on a weekend. I've lived in nearly all the capital cities, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and most recently Brisbane. So, I can now add the nation's capital to the list. I'm a very neat guy so will be more than happy to slot into a chores routine or whatever system you have going!
Hi, I’m Hannah! I’m a young profession relocating to Canberra from Queensland for work. I’m clean and tidy, outgoing but respectful and am just as happy partaking in a few après work beers as I am having a quiet night in with take out and a movie! I don’t know many people in Canberra so I am looking for a larger share house (minimum 2 flatmates). I’m also fairly active and like to spend a lot of time outdoors so ideally I’d love to find a place close to open spaces/ walking tracks.
