Hey! Moving from Brisbane to Canberra to work in the APS. I have lived in sharehouses for years, so I know the drill ;) Tidy, respectful, love to cook and be in a sociable household. Bringing a TV, router, fridge and a few more things, happy to share! Love to stay active almost as much as I love a relaxing night in.
Looking for a quiet place to live! I'm a grad with PM&C who enjoys hiking, rock climbing, Netflix and being a respectful and pleasant housemate to all who surround me. I've lived in plenty of sharehouses before and I ALWAYS replace the toilet roll.
so I am pretty chilled and easy going. prefer my kitchen to be clean and tidy.. excited to move with some wonderful people who can have a laugh but also respect each other's privacy. we could go for movies , cook at times but also make sure we got each other's back :)
I'm a hospitality professional working full time, currently to relocate from Melb to Canberra. I'm easygoing and trustworthy, I keep house tidy and clean, not a smoker or drinker. Most of time I will be at work; on my days off, I enjoying running and a bit of cycling, exploring cafes and restaurants, as well cooking occasionally. Hoping to move to a shared house in the early of December, lease length can be discussed, preferably to start with a 3-4 months lease and see where it leads. If you have a room available, free feel to drop me a message. Thanks, Nick
We're tidy, reliable, and fun to be around. We are both full-time public servants that are relatively new to Canberra. A young(ish) couple that enjoy nature, banter, and the occasional cheeky beverage with housemates. We are very social but also respectful of other peoples' space. We like to spend our nights cooking, socialising, and taking late walks. Discussions about life, the universe, and everything are always on the table.
Great location, close to Kingston shops Aspect out over parkland Modern kitchen Heated towel rail Bedroom has a lot of storage space for clothes, with an in-built closet. Place also has a spare room which is used as a study. I am moving out and looking for someone to take over my room. Current lease runs until 27 January, it is likely that you would be able to extend the lease after that as it is an investment property.
I am from India currently working in Delhi for the last 3.5 years. I have studied in a boarding school so I’m used to staying with people. I am accommodating and like to take care of my surroundings. I will be moving to Canberra to study a Masters in Public Policy at ANU in January 2019. In my spare time I like catching up with friends or read or binge watch something.
Hello future housemates! My name is Javs and I'm a full-time young professional working in the defence industry. I'm a healthy eater, and I like to keep myself active and social. I'm honest, responsible, and clean. I respect privacy, but it's also cool to kick it if we vibe. If we don't, that's cool too 🙂. I value open, honest communication and if there are any issues or problems I'd like to get those out in the open and sorted out. If you think we might be good housemates feel free to give me a call. looking forward to meeting you!
I needed a delicious glass of Malbec to start this profile. If you don't know what Malbec is.....then listen closely. What you are hearing is the sound of Argentinian winemakers weeping uncontrollably. That was a touch dramatic... Anyway, about myself. I'm 34, full time professional and former public servant (now I work for a certain New Zealand based outdoor gear retailer). If I've learnt anything from living in 9 cities on 3 continents, it's that flexibility, a good sense of humour, and compassion go a long way. I enjoy a social drink and you're likely to find me in the kitchen with a glass of red and something delicious in the pan. And yes, I clean up after myself:) While I do love sincere conversation and genuinely like to connect with the people I'm living with, I'm also very respectful of others' space and privacy. If I've had a hard day I'll probably retreat to my room to watch Scandinavian crime dramas and possibly indulge in some connoisseur icecream. Having lived in a few share houses, it's about balance. I'm one of those rare people who straddles the introvert/extrovert divide (INFP/ENFP split), so I tend to get along well with both because I have both those aspects to my personality. Wow, this is starting to feel like an essay, so I won't keep you much longer. I'm just a fan of the written word, and I generally don't do things by half-measure. What am I looking for in the ideal room? Hopefully it's large enough to at least fit a double bed, desk, chair, and set of drawers. I would love to find a furnished room, but if it's unfurnished, it's nothing Ikea can't remedy (and watching me assemble Ikea furniture is amusing....like watching fur seals trying to go up a staircase. It's a trainwreck but you can't look away...) Anything else I should mention about myself? I enjoy healthy food, good books, good tv series, current affairs (I was an Asian Studies and Language major at uni), languages (a little Korean and French), exercise, and if it weren't for a somewhat recent MTB crash on Stromlo, I'd probably be mountain biking every other day. At the moment I'm just filling the void with some good hill-running. As for the kind of household I'd ideally try to find? A place with warm and friendly people basically. Watching movies together from time to time and sharing a drink and a laugh. Cooking in the kitchen while swapping stories about the insanity and the hilarity that is life. Sharing the load, everyone pitching in to clean occasionally in their spare time so no single housemate is left doing the majority of the cleaning. So, if you're looking for an easy going, responsible, down to earth, and kind housemate...please get in contact:) I'm ready to move from about December 3rd but I'm flexible. Getting in contact: I work full-time so the best way to get in touch is by email or text message. Look forward to hearing from you :) Cheers, Marty
I'm a sociable fun and bubbly person with a great sense of humor, (well at least I think so! Lol) I know how to respect privacy and space, wont go in your room, touch your stuff or eat your food. And won't cramp your style if you have friends over but also happy to say hello in passing through and have a social chat. Very considerate when it comes to communal house areas and replacing things like washing powder and toilet paper. Easy to get along with, love gardening and animals. Everyone I have lived with can give me a reference happy to pass on details. Work for myself as an event planner so away every weekend. Happy to meet up for interviews and can pay cash on the spot for bond and rent. Hoping to secure somewhere ASAP, our lease ends this Sunday.
I’m a lawyer based in Canberra and looking to team up with some housemates. Looking to find a nice quiet household - I’m pretty flexible on furnishings and who I live with as long as everyone is easy to get along with. Looking forward to meeting you!
I am a working professional, working full time in social work. I’m currently living in Melbourne, but will be moving to Canberra soon for work! After work I love to come home, have a chat with my housemates and cook dinner. As much as I love socialising, I also enjoy my own time. On the weekends, you’ll find me cooking, cleaning, or going out for beautiful long walks!
Hi there! I'm moving down to Canberra for a 12 month government IT contract, starting November 12. When I lived in Canberra previously, I tended to spend a fair bit of my time mountain biking and motorcycling. These days however I'm more into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and keen to snowboard over winter.
We’re 4 working professionals (2 couples), who have been close friends for 7+ years. 2 of us are undertaking study on-top of working full-time. We’re looking for a 12-month lease with the option to extend as we are looking for a long-term living arrangement.
I'm moving over from Perth in January to start full-time work and am looking for a few people to live with. Location-wise, I'm hoping to be about a 20 minute bus ride from Barton. Definitely keen if you have a dog!
Hey there! I'm a 26 year old high school teacher looking for a housemate (and a property). Have teamed up with another girl, a grad lawyer from Melbourne moving up in January. I'm fairly quiet to live with, as I am doing full time teaching and doing my masters, so in the afternoons and weekends I am either at the gym, marking work, or studying (or stress eating). I'm very clean, I cook often, and I'm organised. I have two cats who sleep 20 hours a day and currently spend their day split indoors and out. I'd prefer someone who has lived with/likes cats, as mine are very friendly and like company.
Hi, My name is Sam and I am moving to Canberra from Sydney to start the Grad program with the Department of Home Affairs in Feb 2019. I am aiming to move in around the middle of December but it can be earlier in December, subject to discussion. I am very flexible with the length of stay but at least 6mths is preferred. I am a quiet, tidy, clean and easygoing person and am equally comfortable with hanging out with flatmates and making friends as I am spending time to myself and giving everyone space. I like to fill my free time with activities such as Scouts, reading, music and ceroc dancing, and hope to pick up some more hobbies and activities to help keep me busy and adjust to a new city.
I am a busy, full time professional. I am friendly, tidy in shared spaces and outgoing. I have a good rental history and pay everything on time. I enjoy hiking and Netflix. I am looking for an easy going person who would enjoy an occasional pizza or brunch.
A room has come up in our centrally located Kingston townhouse due to two housemates moving into their own place together. It's located around the corner from the Kingston shops and a 15-20 minute walk to Barton. There is also a bus stop nearby with services every 15 minutes to the city during the week. Your room will be unfurnished, it's big enough to fit a double bed and has a decently sized built-in wardrobe. The rest of the property is furnished with a large living and dining area. The garage is taken by another housemate and there are limited options for on-street parking during the day. Unfortunately pets aren't allowed.
I am moving down from Brisbane to Canberra for a graduate role but have been living in a flat-share for the last 5 years. I am easy-going and would love a housemate/s that are up for hanging out, drinking some wine and watching movies. I am looking to move in anytime between 1st January 2019 - 1st February 2019 and would also prefer a longer-term lease (at least 6 months) but that is negotiable. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
