I am a 37 yo male, working part-time, studying full time. My partner is a 30 yo legal researcher working at the High Court. We are clean, tidy and respectful, don't party and lead a fairly quiet lifestyle as we are saving for our own house in 2020.
I'm a project manager in the construction industry soon to be moving over from Sydney. My work hours can be long during the week, usually starting work pretty early. On the weekends, if nothing interesting is happening I like to be out exploring somewhere and will be planning to go day trips to surrounding parks on nice days. As a flatmate, I clean up after myself and is respectful of other people's space but I'm also very easy going and sociable. Hoping to move in with friendly and chill flatmates.
I am 32 and from the UK and working in early childhood. I am potentially transferring from my Brisbane centre down to Canberra within the next few weeks. I will be studying my Bachelor of Education at UC from next year. Friendly and outgoing, clean and tidy person. Love my formula 1 and V8 Supercars. Easy to get on with. I love animals and if possible I would be looking at getting a cat, however, if the right place comes up that doesn't allow pets, I will still consider.
Hi! I'm Naomi, a recent uni graduate looking find a sunny, warm "home-y" place in Canberra, looking for part-time work, possibly with volunteering in the meantime. I'm hoping to live with around 2 flatmates of any age, although this is flexible- I enjoy talking and being around other people, but also need moments of quiet in my own space. I'm a bit of an old soul, a "twenty-something grandma" who loves dressmaking, movies, basic photography, sewing, craft, reading and am a decent cook. I love to share food that I've made- expect regular brownies, muesli bars and homemade bread. I'm vegetarian, but am happy to adapt recipes to be GF, vegan, DF, and respect your choices (food and otherwise). I don't smoke, take illicit drugs or drink, but am fine with others having the occasional glass of alcoholic something. I am not a fan at all of loud parties and/or lots of people though. I am quite mature for my age, always polite and always happy to listen if someone needs to talk or vent a little, or leave you some space. Housemates should work together like a family. If adult life is being a bit more difficult due to mental illness, recently arrived in Australia, chronic illness, disability, dire finances, being LGBTIQA+ or anything else, I will do my best to be accommodating and supportive, as I hope my flatmates would do for me. If you're having an absolutely awful day or three, I won't haggle you to do the dishes, but I expect that there will be some regular bathroom/kitchen/communal spaces cleaning arrangement where everyone does a little bit, so we can all enjoy a clean and tidy space. I am definitely on the neat side, but not inflexible. And if you have pets, that's great since I like animals, especially dogs. If I'm at home while you're out or at work, I'm happy to keep an eye on them and give them love. Please note that my desired rent per week as on my profile, is fairly flexible. Being close to the shops and public transport to get around (Action buses, the tram) is a must for me, as well as decent heating or thermal stability to get through the winter. I would prefer a place on the ground floor, or with minimal steps. Looking forward to meeting you!
Hi there, I'll be doing my Masters of Engineering at ANU which will start around mid-July. I hail from the tropical island of Sri Lanka, and this will be my first time in Australia. I have very relaxed boundaries; I smoke myself and am LGBT friendly. But I am a bit of a neat freak and would prefer a CLEAN place. Also, of course, since I would be studying most of the time, I would prefer to have a quiet place to study and concentrate. I'm a gamer by passion and would love to have the occasional beer once in a while. I am looking for a person/ persons who are easygoing and can manage to maintain a clean environment.
I'm a public servant looking for a place to call home for me and my cat. I'm a non-smoker and would like to share with someone who doesn't smoke. This includes outdoor smokers, smokers who are quitting, 420ers and social smokers who smoke with friends when they visit. This is very important to me. Please do not contact me if you smoke. I'm looking for somewhere in the ACT that's no more than 45 mins to the city on the bus or Tram. I'm hoping to find somewhere warm for the winter months ahead. Some good stuff: I'm not a party person and tend to keep quiet and friendly around the home. I'm a second-hand book store and tea-chat kind of person. I also like walks, baking cakes and overgrown gardens. I'm tidy and will keep the house fresh and clean. On the weekends I do my best to get out of the house to catch up on some studies, find a quite space to read and check out Canberra's music and art scene. My household pet peeves are food and dirty dishes left in sinks overnight and grimy, dirty or dusty floors. I like my pad dust, ( human and pet) hair and crawlie free. I am a Queensland ring-in so this chilly weather is keeping me on my toes! I haven't used the heater yet- yeah! But let's chat about heating and wot-nots before we to come those really cold days :D. George, my cat is cool. He's chill and friendly. He's not great with other pets, which makes this process a lot more difficult, but he settles in easily. He's indoor / outdoor but he's only outdoors for a few hours a day. Houses, townhouses, first floor or ground floor apartments would be ok with us! ( Although we might grow accustomed to something higher. Apologies but I'm not keen on living with a large family or with young children. And, no smokers... Cheers, Rose
Hi, I’m a public service professional in my late forties who works full time. I am quiet and mind my own business but am also sociable and can enjoy a chat now and then. I am neat and tidy and respectful of those around me. I’m looking to share with preferably one housemate but in the right situation would share with two. I’m interested in a quiet and calm household. I’ll be out at times catching up with friends. I don’t mind sharing with someone who has pets. I’m very willing to share domestic duties and if sharing a house am happy to help out with gardening. I’m flexible when it comes to working out household arrangements. I don’t smoke and enjoy the odd drink socially. Feel free to contact me if you think we could share a place.
Hey~ My name is Layla and I'm 26. I'm a ANU student doing my master of computing. I'm tidy and easy going. Before I arrived Canberra, I worked as an accountant in Shanghai for two years. I like reading, travelling and Japanese anime. Hope to find a bedroom in a quiet share house (not too far away from ANU) or find a friend to teamup. Although I play some games, I'm a quiet gamer and actually I don't have much time to play games because of the heavy study load in ANU. I'm happy to share with you my Nintendo Switch. Currently I live in UCV.
Hi I’m looking to find a place once the lease is up at the place I’m staying at, I work part time at Bunnings but will be getting full time soon, I will study soon to (not studying at the moment).
