Hey there, Im a Canadian exchange student who's looking to sublet a room for the month of July while I stay in Australia to work for my last month of exchange. Really easy going about where I live and who I live with for the month so shoot me a message if you have a room available and I can tell you more about myself.
I'm a 32 year old professional from Melbourne moving to Canberra for work. I am a very adaptable individual and am happy to respect the needs of my fellow housemates. I enjoy socialising and spending time with my housemates but equally enjoy some me time and acknowledge the need for space. I like to keep my surroundings clean and tidy (not pedantically, just to be comfortable) so am looking for housemates who want the same. My interests include dancing, yoga, documentaries and the occasional HBO binge, hiking and anything nature, reading, podcasts and eating wonderful food.
Hi there! We're looking to start a share house are keen to move out ASAP! We are looking for 1 other person to join us and are happy to join an existing house or start a new one! Here are a few things about us: - We are friends and have known each other for over 10 years, we are both 22. - Emma works as a teacher's aid and in admin part time while studying her teaching degree. She loves a night in with a good book, a tub of cookies and cream icecream and cuddles from her pup. - Luke works at Deloitte full time and spends most of his free time playing games, watching sport, bushwalking and bike riding. - We are clean, friendly and easy going. - We are both considerate and respectful of other people's privacy. - Our budget is $200/week each. - Our preferred location is in Queanbeyan or Jerrabomberra but we happy to move into Canberra as long as the house is within 20 minutes of the airport. You should also know that Emma also has a 7-month-old pup named Spencer who will be joining us. He loves all the cuddles and pats you can spare. Also joining us is her rabbit named Stewie, a fluffy bunny full of attitude. So with this in mind we're looking for a pet friendly house. If you are interested then let us know by flicking us a message!
Hey, I'm Gen! I'm currently a student and public servant. I like to socialize and catch-up but am largely independent and enjoy my own space as well. I'm generally pretty flexible and easy going and you'll find me a tidy and respectful roommate. My Friday nights vary from hanging at a pub with friends to a night-in with a good movie or book and a maybe glass of wine. I currently live in NSW and expect to travel back to my hometown on weekends every so often. I will be in Canberra for work purposes June 18 - 24 which would be the ideal time to meet and view the property. I'm planning to move to Canberra permanently mid-July as part of a new full-time job. Looking in the Inner South and Inner North suburbs primarily. A furnished room is preferred but not strictly necessary. If you're interested in having the honour to welcome me as your roommate please reach out :)
We are a young couple from Newcastle and we are moving to Canberra for work at very short notice. We urgently require short-term accommodation until we can get settled in and find our own place. We would like to move in preferably no later than the beginning of June. Our preferred length of stay is around 2-3 months but we can be flexible with this. Elliott (22 y.o.) - Public servant; currently working as a research assistant and finishing the last semester of a commerce degree via distance. Michelle (27 y.o.) - Recently completed a B.A. in politics and international relations; moving to Canberra to work and study at ANU. • We are mature, respectful, and clean up after ourselves. • We're sociable and easy to get along with, but we also appreciate having our own space. • We'll be working full-time hours Monday-Friday and studying during nights/weekends, so we're looking for housemates who are quiet and considerate, especially during the evening. (We don't mind sharing with other students as long as it's not a noisy 'party house' type environment). • We're not adverse to hanging out occasionally — it would be nice to know some locals who can show us around the city and recommend things to see/do in Canberra :) • Hoping to find a room that's already furnished because we'll need time to acquire our own furniture. A queen bed would be ideal because all of our sheets, quilts etc. are queen size (and Elliott is probably too tall to sleep on anything smaller). • We'll need parking space (Elliott has a car and I plan to bring mine down from Newcastle in the near future, too). • I'll be relying on public transport for at least a few weeks, so accommodation located reasonably close to public transport is a must. • We would prefer to have our own bathroom/ensuite (if possible) but we're not in a position to be too fussy. • Decent internet/Wi-Fi and heating/cooling is essential.
I’m told I’m warm and friendly unless you try rick roll me haha. Keep clean, courteous, work quite hard, but don’t take myself too seriously Keep active, spend lots of my time outdoors, have an active social life, not planning on having too many people over Work as a management consultant, teach at ANU, and do a few other things outside of work that fill my days Will be keen to ask how your day went, and also mindful of people wanting space and down time Looking for a chill housemate, and a place to call home
Hi there, I'm really interested in your share house. I and my husband from one of the ASEAN countries ( Cambodia) and pursuing a master degree at ANU. We'll be here up to July next year. I'm in 25 and my husband 30 We are peaceful, friendly, and tidy couple. We both also have some part time jobs. We can move in asap. Would you mind accept a couple to share a house with you? I look forward to hearing from you.
Hey I'm Dan. Recently moved back to Canberra after 13 years in Perth. I Travel a lot for work so wouldn't be around all the time. I'm quite a tidy person and can sometimes have a bit of OCD, so i'd like to live in a clean environment. I'm a little more inclined to teaming up with someone to get a new place rather than moving into someone else's environment. I have a decent amount of furnishings and everything a kitchen needs. A typical night at home for me would be a few beers, some experimenting in the kitchen and decent tunes on in the background.
I have just moved from Sydney to Canberra, working at Thales on Defence IT project. I am fit, very clean, into hygiene and ALWAYS clean up afterward. I am into cycling and fitness training. I keep myself busy between work and training, but love to have a few drink or diner with flatmate(s). Initially I like an initial 3x months stay or at least till the winter is over. The location of the property must have bus stop or cycling path to get to 70 Kent Street, Deakin. As well as waling distance to Woolworth / Coles / IGA, and restaurants is a plus.
Hey there, from Sydney originally but have lived in the ACT for 5.5yrs. I am a full time venue manager for a delish restaurant/bar in Canberra. Few things about me, am very easy going and always up for a laugh. I enjoy listening to music, eating/drinking, puzzles, the odd hike here or there and much more. As a housemate, I never leave a mess behind and understand the boundaries of a share house.

I've lived in a shared home and shared my own place in the recent past, so know all about respecting a home and ensuring that its well looked after. I'm the quiet type, enjoys cooking, likes to do my own thing while still being social with the person I live with. I work full time, travel light (so won't need a lot of storage space), and try to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. So if you're interested in having an easy going and respectful flat/house mate, just send me a message. Thanks
We are a Vietnamese couple who are moving from Sydney to Canberra for study. You will be sharing with tidy, responsible and friendly flatmates. We are super easy going and love being social!!!!!!
The apartment : You're on the Kingston Foreshore! What is not to love!? The modern and light filled apartment is secure and on the second floor of the building. There is a large shared living space with a kitchen big enough for the chef at heart and a warm and welcome lounge with all the trimmings of a big TV, Chrome cast ready to go and an excellent speaker set up is inviting to any binge watcher, music aficionado or someone with a console. Unlimited internet is additional but only $24 a month! The large bathroom is shared with only one female housemate, with the male having his own ensuite. Excellent laundry included and a big shared balcony with all the sunlight and plants which you could ask for. Not to mention you can see the Telstra tower, Carillon and part of the parliament house flagpole from the balcony. Moments away from some of the most exquisite dining Canberra has to offer and did I mention there is a secure underground car space included? We are looking for someone who is considerate, easy going, sociable but who still respects the space of others and is tidy. All shared spaces are completely furnished, and there isn't really room for more, however artwork and soft furnishings are of course welcome! The room: Unfurnished and plenty of room. As in, heaps. It's a fun L shape with a door opening directly onto the balcony for that much needed winter sunlight and cool summer breezes. Currently the room has a queen bed, bedside tables, a large chest of drawers, another table with a plant, a bookcase and a free standing mirror. Could easily fit a queen bed with desk, tables and bookcase or similar. Also includes 2 built in wardrobes, one with shelves, one for hanging with spaces above for storage. It's been plenty of space for me and boy do I have a lot of clothes! The room also has direct access through to the bathroom shared with one other. Please no smokers, pets or couples.
Hey, I'm an APS graduate looking for a new place since my lovely current housemates are both coupling up. :'( I'm originally from Melbourne, living in Lyneham (which I love) and would love to stay within ~30 minute cycling distance of work in NewActon. As a housemate I'm very friendly, considerate and reasonably tidy. I keep very busy, but I love a friendly housemate debrief at the end of the day. I'm vego but I don't care what other people cook or eat. I've lived in sharehouses for many years with great friendly/respectful vibes and I'd love to find that again in my next place. I come with a very cute and well behaved 9 year old Maltese x Cavalier doggo. She mostly keeps to herself but will be your best friend once she gets to know you. I know some landlords are reluctant to accept pets, but she is a wonderful tenant, doesn't shed and comes with great references from my current and previous properties. I'm flexible on my move dates. I'm looking for somewhere any time in the next 2 months - but for the right place, I'll make it work. Hoping to hear from anyone who thinks their place might be a good fit!
I’m 25, quiet, respectful, enjoy cleaning and if I’m not working I’m out with friends, on walks or in bed catching up on sleep. I’m looking for a new place to live however I do have a eyelash extension business I run from home after hours from 5:30pm (a few nights a week) and some weekends. Due to this I require a quiet space or small study for my clients - if you think you can provide this please give me a hola! Other then that I work full time for the Departmenf of the House of Representatives as well as on the door at night clubs in the city most weekends. Monique 😊
Hi, I’m transferring to Canberra with my employer and will be spending the majority of my time at work or at home in Sydney, I am considerate, respectful and enjoy other company but understand when people need their own time. I’m clean, organized and handy in the kitchen and look forward to meeting some great flatmates :)
> full-time phd student > friendly and easy-going > respect others' privacy > have a car (so that my roommate and I can go out and have fun on holidays)
Hi, I'm Kim. I'm outgoing, friendly, funny? and I'm enjoying Australia to the fullest. I love a good laugh, dining with friends or just chill with some good wine any day of the week. I see the positive in most things and I love to live. Wine, cars, hiking, traveling, explore new cultures and learn new languages are some of my many passions. I am looking for a new place in Canberra as I will start a new full time job in the middle of June
Hi, I'm Taylor. I work full-time at a consulting firm here in Canberra. I moved to Canberra in 2016 and have really taken to it. I spend a lot of my time at work and travel semi-frequently. In my spare time, I play guitar and keyboard (through headphones!) and read. Looking for a place in the inner north or south. My move date isn't by any means fixed.
