Hi all, I'm looking for a room in a house in Sydney where I can stay for at least 6 months. I'm from Melbourne, and have been living in Sydney for a few months now, but my work contracts up until now have been very short and its been difficult to plan for the future. Now my contract goes until the end of February 2020, so I'm keen to find somewhere I can move in some more stuff so it can feel a bit more home-y. If your room already has a bed and a small amount of furniture though, that would definitely be a plus. I work full-time at the National Archives of Australia's Sydney branch working with their audio-visual data. I really enjoy it most of the time; I think I find working with data more interesting than most others would haha. But I'm also a big creative; I studied musical theatre for 3 years, and have a cabaret to my name that I'm planning to bring to a festival in Sydney next year. As for where I'm looking to move to, I either want to stay close to the city on the T3 line so I can commute via train (around Marrickville, Earlwood, Campsie, Canterbury) OR very close to work to so I can either walk or catch the M91 bus there (Parramatta, Chester Hill, Granville, Sefton, Yagoona). [PLEASE don't message me unless you live in or next to one of these areas]. I usually keep to myself at home but I enjoy a good chat with the people I live with. This lovely room is located in a wonderful home that's only a few minutes walk from Ashfield station. The Ashfield mall is not much further and has everything you could need - Woolies, Coles, Aldi and Kmart, plus Ashfield is home to some amazing Asian grocers that have all sorts of delights. Not to mention the dumpling restaurants etc. The house itself is comfortable with modern furnishings and appliances.
