$230/week38 year old woman

Hi, I'm Penelope (she/her). I come alone - no partner, pets, or children - and ideally, I'm looking to team up. I would love to start an inclusive, supportive, Covid-safe, sensory-sensitive share house/flat with somebody like-minded. I have all of the furniture and appliances necessary to furnish a home, so if you're looking to move and are put-off by the thought of that initial outlay - I am your person. I am a BIG TIME bookworm (so expect LOTS of books). I own and run an online secondhand bookshop and I am also chipping away at a degree so that in the next 6-12 months I can call myself a children's librarian. Trust me when I say that this is the perfect job for me. I love cooking, and one of my favourite things to do is to bake for others to make them happy! I'd really like to try my hand at gardening flowers and vegies. I'm a homebody and tend to keep to myself. I am respectful, trustworthy, and dedicated to healthy communication. For 16 years (until the pandemic), I worked in private homes as a nanny, and I think that'll tell you all you need to know about my character. Other things to note: - I do like things very clean and tidy, but I'm willing to do the work to keep our home looking that way. I would like to find a place with a dishwasher and a private (not communal) laundry. - I have delayed sleep phase syndrome, so I go to bed late and I get up late. My late nights are very quiet though - I will just be in bed reading a book. I sleep with a fan on for white noise, so if you're up early for work, that should mask most of the sounds. - I have a light sensitivity, especially to artificial light, so at home I use lamps rather than overhead lights. - I have issues with thermoregulation, so a place with air-conditioning is a must. I really struggle with indoor temperatures over 23C. - I have fibromyalgia/chronic pain and so I am not great at some tasks you might consider completely normal; like vacuuming, or emptying the bottom rack of the dishwasher. I do manage, but it can be a bit "ouch". I'm in the process of applying for the Disability Support Pension. In the meantime I need to keep my own rent under $230/wk, but if you're willing to put in a little more toward the rent in exchange for the use of furnishings, or for the car space, then we don't necessarily need to split the rent right down the middle. I am also happy to make up the difference in cooking, cleaning, and the provision of delicious baked goods. In the photo collage I have used here, you can see the furniture I have, and the condition in which I keep my home. Apologies if I caused any confusion - I'm not currently offering a place (the photos were taken in my previous rental). I have given away the queen bed (top left of collage), but I still have the bedding and linens if you need them. So, yes... I have lovely furniture to furnish our home with, including a bespoke, upholstered, three seater sofa (2.5 metres); a matching ottoman; an armchair; oak sideboard (2.5 metres); oak desk; a small extendable dining table and two chairs; brass/glass side table; lamps; bar cart; indoor plants; art and other wall hangings; bookshelves and lots of books. I have whitegoods and appliances including fridge; washer; microwave; kettle; toaster. I have pots; pans; cutlery; crockery; glassware. I have my own king size bed (the blueish one in the collage), so I would need a reasonably well-sized room to accommodate that. Depending on the size of the room, I could also have bookshelves and/or armchair and/or desk in my bedroom if it/they was/are not wanted in the communal living area. As I said, I've given away the queen bed and other furnishings I had in the spare bedroom at my old place, but I still have bedding, bed linens, and towels if you need them. I don't have a television or a clothes dryer, but we could look in to getting them if you want.

$400/week22 year old woman

Hey there! I'm Cayli, I'm 22 and currently work as a secondary teacher in Gippsland. I've lived in South Gippsland pretty much my whole life and am looking for a change and to hopefully make new friends along the way. I'm looking to move in with people of a similar age. I grew up in the Dromana area and am really looking forward to moving back and starting a new chapter. I'm very clean and independent, I love to cook and enjoy an active lifestyle with gym, walks and a bit of social netball. I excel at keeping spaces clean and organized, which I believe is essential for a harmonious living arrangement. I like to keep spaces such as bathrooms and the kitchen organised and clean, I come from an extremely clean household so have no issues in cleaning up after myself. I would love to move relatively close to the beach, and LOVE dogs. I have a dog of my own however she won't be moving with me full time, she might come and visit though. Her name is Luna and she is a 2 year old German Shorthaired Pointer X Hungarian Vizsla, she is very placid and super friendly. So hopefully you are dog people, or even better have one yourself! I'm an easy going person who is looking to make some friends with my roommates and enjoy my social life. I enjoy socializing and going out for dinner or drinks, but I also value having some alone time to decompress after a busy day. I am considerate and understanding of others' differences and needs, and I prioritize transparency and communication.
