Important details: Dates - From immediately (or as soon as possible) until the end of May Preferred budget for the two of us (i.e., not per person) - $250/week rent only or $320/week including bills and wifi A little more about us: We are a chilled out, clean, tidy, and respectful Australian-Chilean couple. We're pretty easy going, happy to keep to ourselves and respect your privacy and equally happy to be social and share a meal and/or a drink or two with you. I'm originally from Brisbane and Marcelo is from Santiago, Chile. We have been living and working in Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, and Port Macquarie over the past few years together and this will be our first time living in Melbourne. We both love to travel, rock climb, hike, dance salsa, and relax with good food and a nice wine. We are also interested in languages; I speak some German and am learning Spanish, and Marcelo speaks Spanish and Portuguese fluently. Marcelo is an engineer and will be working full time. He just started a short contract in the St Kilda area on April 19. I have not had a chance to find work in Melbourne yet, but when I am working, I work on public health projects or in the area of health promotion. (We don't know whether Marcelo's contract will be extended beyond May. This and the fact that I don't have work yet are the main reasons why we are looking for such a short lease and also why our budget is a little tight.)

I am from the capital city of Laos, small city in southeast asia but so laid-back one. I'm an easy going, minimalist and friendly person and I keen to make new friends and share my culture with every one. I don't cook really often but love to explore all kind of food, especially dessert! I love to spend time with arts and learn new culture. Traveling around the world is my dream. I love flowers, clean and tidy space :)
Please apply by email only. Looking for a new house mate to share my apartment in St Kilda. It's pimped out nicely and fully furnished. Bedroom has own balcony and the pool/gym up stairs are pretty scenic and well appointed with 360 degree views of Melbourne including the beautiful Albert Park. $260/week including parking is all I'm asking for the room and a contribution towards bills/supplies would be nice also. Will consider couples but obviously negotiation around price and room would be required.

Hi, my name is Kath and I have just recently moved to Melbourne from Perth. I am 28 and working full time in Burwood, my hours are quite standard 8.30/9-5/6 but it takes me at least an hour to travel to/from work so I set off really early in the morning and don't come back till late. I have got quite a busy schedule, after work I either go to the gym, learn Spanish or practise dancing. Although I am hardly home, I don't mind socialising with my housemate here and there. I work some Saturdays and travel quite a bit too, so I would prefer a quiet house over a party house anytime but having friends over for dinners and drinks occasionally is most welcome. My current housemate is moving back to Perth. I am currently living in Southbank/South Melbourne area and would prefer to stay around this area as I love the South Melbourne Market! I have lived in a shared house for the past 10 years and would really prefer my housemate(s) to be mature and understand the dynamics of a shared house (e.g. pick up after themselves, respect each other spaces etc). That's pretty much me in a nutshell, feel free to contact me if you have any questions :) p.s. I do not have any furniture other than my own mattress. I don't mind having a cleaner over fortnightly if that makes things easier :) I am looking to team up as well- just send me a message!
Hello, FlatMatties! I am an international student living in Melbourne from last month. I am doing my bachelors from La Trobe University Bundoora Campus and working part time at collins street. I am looking for a place cheap to live. and I am pretty much comfortable with room share or flatshare option. I am mostly out for work or studies and just come back in the night. I am a pretty much welcoming guy and don't have any racial/ religious/ nationality/ gender preferences. I like to party once a while or go out on weekend to beaches or maybe exploring the city but don't worry if the house vibe is not party like I will respect other people's comfort. As I am new in the city I would love to meet people who like to have a conversation with a drink once in a while but at the same time can give me some alone time. I am looking somewhere in the CBD area or any surrounding suburbs from where the commute time to city is 10-20 minutes. I am more than willing to rent out a place of our own and start a share house with like minded people. I am actually looking for long term place but my lease at current place will expire on 15th May and by 15th June I will be going to Canberra for 4-6 weeks. So it will be nice if something can be figured out regarding my vacations in that period otherwise I will be notifying you 2 weeks before moving out.
Hello, I am looking for a place as a transition point into Melbourne. I have recently applied for mid-year University entrance and I am waiting for an acceptance letter from them. I am a quiet, clean person with a tendency to keep to myself. I enjoy reading, visiting the city and spending time on my computer. I have a cat that I would like to bring with me, however if that is a problem I can leave her behind.
I work full time in Insurance and have a few casual jobs in theatre which I like to do for fun. I am clean around the house and am reliable with bills. I like to chat with my housemate and have a good time, but also respect their privacy and understand alone time. I am pretty relaxed and chilled person and can easily be approached. I will come with all furniture for the house, even a mattress for your room, which can be disposed of if you have one yourself. I am also easy with accepting other furniture, so if you want to bring your own goods I can always sell some of my own stuff. Am currently looking for another person to sign a lease with as I enjoy having a housemate around. Only need to vacate my current lease as the Landlord wishes to move in. Would ideally suit someone who wants to be on a lease rather than subleasing, but may not have much or any furniture as I have everything you need.
A bit about me... I'm a software professional from India, working with Telstra, and have also worked and lived in the UK previously. In Melbourne, my office is located in the CBD area and I typically work 8 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday. On weekends, I prefer to get out of the house, see places and travel around whenever possible. I'm a friendly (but not intrusive), easy going person, who likes casual conversations and also sharing a good laugh. I run, practice yoga and am passionate about cooking. I don't smoke. But do enjoy the occasional drink. I am posted in Melbourne for 6 months now, which will be extended by another 6 months eventually. My num:

My name is Jim, I work full time in advertising, possess a dark sense of humour and am looking for some chilled out roommates who don't mind being social, but also won't cook meth in our house. To get the obvious out of the way, I'm clean, respectful of space and work pretty long hours - so I'm ideally looking for a place where there's an even split between social hangs as a household and room for some downtime. I also pay my rent on time and clean up after myself - but I'm not looking for a household with neat freaks either. By that, I mean, if the shifting of a vase is likely to ruin your day, I'm probably not keen. Actually, who owns a vase in this age group anymore? Okay, if you own a vase, don't contact me either. Some of my other interests include video games (I'm a bit of a nerd), photoshopping your faces where they don't belong (trust me, it's endearing), and I'm not going to lie, sometimes the worst of the worst reality TV warms the darkest depths of my soul. If the thought of living with what you've just read doesn't rattle you to the core, hit me up. I'm sure we'll get along just fine.
I work full time as a bartender at the Atlantic. From Scotland, Edinburgh. Looking for someone who is quite clean but not a maniac. I'm clean and relaxed, go out a couple times a week and make good cocktails. Exercise regularly and enjoy cooking healthy meals 2/3 times a day for myself and often others :)
I am a fun and outgoing guy and just moved over from across the ditch (New Zealand) to start a full time job in the CBD. I enjoy going out, socialising having a drink (or 6) with mates/future flatmates in the weekend but also enjoy having downtime to relax/netflix and chill! New to Australia I would love to explore the city and what it has to offer! I enjoy people's company and I would like to think (and hope) people enjoy mine too! I think I would make a great flatmate to live with! My hobbies include playing sports such as tennis, badminton and cricket socially and I do like to stay fit by either playing these sports or going for runs/gym (gains). I like to live with clean surroundings, enjoy cooking and cleaning up after myself. If this doesn't sound like the perfect flatmate then I don't know what does
