Is your home a place that feels wonderful, is an amazing sanctuary & lights you up? Do you have a spare space calling for a loving, creative, grounded & balanced being to inhabit it? Hi, I'm Jen. After many years of house sharing I feel a longing to have a space to call my own. However, I believe we are meant to exist in community & coming home after work to friendly faces, a bit of conversation & the occasional shared meal would be greatly appreciated. Who we share space with is paramount to our wellbeing, so I'd love to share with organic/earth/energy conscious people that are authentic & act with integrity in the world. A snapshot of me: I'm 36 and I enjoy my work as manager of a local art studio, alongside building my own business as a Shamanic Womancrafter, Life Doola, Artist, Healer & Teacher, running women's circles & currently studying the women's mysteries & spiritual practises. Last year I returned to my home town of Newcastle after over a decade away of job pursuits & I'm happy to be back & closer to friends, family & the beach. I want to be radically honest here about who I am. For some, what I just wrote may seem a bit far out or 'woo woo', but I hope for the right people, you'll read between the lines & feel what I'm about. I'm caring, empathetic, motivated, logical & got my feet firmly on the ground! Apart from all the usual 'fully house trained' stuff (even considered a bit of a handy-woman & come with tools to help with odd jobs & repairs around the house), I come with a fur child. Elkie is my 14yr old, indoor female tabby cat. She's super chilled, doesn't wander very far, spends most of her time sleeping on my bed & loves a good chat. She's not a huge fan of other animals, so I'm not really keen to subject her to that when it can stress her out. Elkie is just awesome, even people who don't really like cats can't resist falling for her charm. Elkie will win a place in your heart, I promise, so folks that are ‘cat people’ & would be keen to give her some love from time to time are what I’m calling in! I’ve been situated close to Glenrock reserve & the beach since my return & it’s my happy place – bush & beach! So preference would definitely swing towards that area, but open to anywhere that has some tree's in view. I travel a bit with my course work, I love to make art & be creative & I treat all those in my world with respect, honesty & openness. My wish list - A home that is surrounded by leafy greens & trees - A medium to large room that is quiet & safe for me & Elkie - Loads of natural light & air flow - Bath & air con are luxury items I would thank the stars for! - Space for my art studio/office set up (perhaps you have a windowed garage or shed, or a sunroom I could use?) - Storage for my camping stuff, bits & pieces (I have a full house set up in storage that can or can’t be used as needed) - Kitchen that is spacious enough to create in - Spacious living area’s that allow everyone to have the space they need - No more than a 30min drive from Wallsend would be preferred & close to a bush walk &/or water source would be magic! There are so many different types of properties, homes, families & living arrangements out there, so if any of this has kept you reading so far & you've got something that might suit, I'd love to hear from you. I know the perfect sanctuary exists! I look forward to meeting you.
I'm an archaeologist and I play ultimate frisbee which I'm sure are probably two things you don't come across very often. I'm a pretty laid back guy, like to listen to music, relax and watch TV, head to the gym and maybe with my move to Newcastle get to the beach a bit more. I've got a fair amount of bedroom furnishings, and a good TV setup (including sound system and Xbox). I'm moving from Sydney to Newcastle in the coming months for a new job opportunity, and am looking for a place. I've lived in my current house in Surry Hills for two years. I'm fairly flexible on when I move, somewhere in August/September is probably the best time! I'm mostly looking in the Newcastle CBD area at this stage. I'd like to find somewhere I can stay for at least 6 months to start off, with my preference being around a bit longer.
Hi Future Flatmates!, I’m moving to Newcastle to finish off my medical degree at the John Hunter Hospital. If all goes to plan I should graduate at the end of 2019, so I’m looking for a place I could possibly stay for the next 18 months, or at least until the end of this year. I am on exchange in Bergen, Norway at the moment, which has been amazing!, but also means that I won't be free to meet-up in person until the 19th June, however I am able to skype and meet-up beforehand as well. For some more information about me: I’ve spent the first three years of my degree studying up in Armidale, NSW and so I’m really looking forward to living near the beach soon! Apart from that I love being outdoors, staying active and trying to new places to eat (I’m a vegetarian). I’m also easy going; and a very clean and tidy flatmate. This will be my first time living in Newcastle, so I am definitely not just looking for a room to live in I hoping to make friends. It would be great if you could show me around to all of the best places in Newy. If you have any more questions just let me know. Looking forward to your response!
Hi! I'm a full time student at UON and i work part-time in retail. Long term rental preferred. not a big party person, being 30(ish) I’m more into red wine and cheese platters than beer bongs, but do enjoy a good bevvy filled banter in the yard over a cob loaf and a cheeky night out once in a while. I don’t know that many people up here yet (moved up here from the central coast) so would love to find some friendly interactive housemates that share dinners and drinks from time to time and don’t just pass each other in the hallways. red wine is the nectar of the gods and cheese platters complete with crackers, dips and cured meat selections are dinners of champions who can't be bothered with real food. chocolate is a constant. disney isn't just for kids. i have a very clean indoor/outdoor cat. gypsy, she's a beautiful ginger kitty, v. small. she kinda hates everything (not mad just very very shy). so won't be all up in your business. spends most of her time asleep in the shade or on my bed at night. If i can give her access outside via a window in my room she's likely to not ever venture into other parts of the house (Because noises are scary). not a clean freak so I’m not going to lose the plot if you leave a dish out for a day but if things start growing in the sink and fridge that's not cool.
I´m a lifeguard back in Argentina and I`m currently looking for a job. Delfina is a graphic designer and is studying Marketing & Communication this semester in Newcastle. We´re looking forward on getting to know Newcastle deeply.
-20 years old (21 in June) -4th Year of Primary and Early Childhood Teaching -Permanent part-time educator at Goodstart Early Learning Centre -I come with a fridge, washing machine, dining table/chairs
G'day I'm Tom, originally from Narrabri/Tamworth. Used to go to uni in Canberra but didn't enjoy it. Moved back home briefly. Looking for solid work in Newy. Keen to live somewhere to share the financial burden. I'll be happy with anywhere really, including a social bunch. I'm pretty easy going and don't mind a few cold ones so if your keen do hesitate to hit me up! Cheers!

Very easy going. Busy working part-time and studying at UON. Third year studying a Bachelor of Speech Pathology Honours. Like to go out for dinner, have a drink and socialise on the weekends. Also like some down time and personal space. Extremely respectful, neat and tidy. I enjoy going for walks and hikes, working out at the gym, health and fitness, spiritual person (don't mind a bit of yoga and meditation every now and then), cooking (vegetarian and vegan), reading, and enjoy doing art in my down time. Live a pretty healthy and active lifestyle but also like to indulge now and then. Would love to meet some like minded people who I can potentially become great friends with! Much prefer a community and friendly home rather then a share house! Currently living on the Central Coast and looking to move closer to uni for the next few years and for a nice change. Unfortunately unable to move out until the start of August as I am having a surgery at the beginning of July and will need to be at home to recover for the month before I am able to move out.
Clean, tidy, like to keep to myself but very friendly and funny! I am looking for ideally a modern clean apartment or house and will not be there the entire week. I need an environment I can work and study from mainly, only staying 2-3 nights a week. I’m very health conscious - no smoking or drinking.
Hey! I'm 31 currently living in Melbourne but about to start a new job in Newcastle in the Health sector (working in Media and Comms) around Mid July. Returning to Newy where I went to Uni and worked for a few years before moving to Sydney/Melbourne. Really looking forward to coming back after a stint in some the capital cities.
Im a full time hairdresser and am currently living on the Mid North Coast planning on moving to the Newcastle area in a few weeks as I have a new job to go to and am needing some shared accommodation.
Hi! I’m a 23 year old apprentice electrician. I’m looking for a couple of fun room mates who enjoy hanging out but also respect each other’s privacy. I enjoy cooking and clean up after myself as I want to live in a tidy house. Love the outdoors and don’t mind a drink on the weekends. Looking to move out soon so Hit me up ! (I also come with a 4screen Netflix account)
I am clean, respectable, polite and honest. I'm a fun and bubbly person with a great sense of humour. I absolutely adore animals so pets are not a problem. I'm not a smoker and will have the very occasional drink however I do love to go out dancing and socialise. I'm always down for a chat and to get involved in a gathering, in saying that I do understand the need for privacy as I too enjoy my own me time.
Hi, I'm Liv. I am 26 and a primary teacher. I am moving back to Newcastle from a few years in Sydney. I love the outdoors and being active, the beach, gym, camping, surfing, kite surfing, music, fishing, reading, travelling, movies and relaxing. I have lived out of home in share houses for 6 years. I am a very clean and tidy person. I am looking for a friendly household. Thanks, Liv
