Hello Everyone, My name is Steven, and I’m moving to Perth in two weeks. I am a postgrad student from University of Edinburgh that will be working with the ARC Center of Excellence for Coral Studies for three months. I plan to stay from May 9th to August 9th. And so I am looking for a place to stay in Perth. I will spend much of my time reading or working in the lab at UWA. I'm friendly with everyone. Laid back. I am no partier, and I keep myself and my surroundings clean and organized. I don't smoke or partake in drugs. I'm also LGBT friendly of course. Let me know what you think! Hobbies: Anything outdoors, I like hang gliding, hiking, being on the water, scuba diving, etc Would trying new foods and wine be a hobby? I'm about that too. Cheers, Steven Carrion
Main bedroom in lovely quiet Nedlands cottage available. Suit couple or single. Walking distance to UWA , hospitals, cafe strip in Hampden (the next street) public transportRoom is fully furnished with linen supplied. Sharing with Brenda mature Community Support Worker (Aged Care) and Catriona, nursing at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. YOU MUST LIKE DOGS AS WE HAVE TWO SMALL TERRIERS. Six months tenancy preferred but willing to negotiate. This is the perfect place for students, doctors, nurses. Even though it is close to uni and busy streets, it is remarkably quiet and the garden is very beautiful and relaxing. The main bedroom has french doors opening on to the front verandah and garden which offers the choice of eating/studying outside your door or going indoors to the large dining/family room. There is also a large outdoor setting in the back garden with a barbeque. Friends are always welcome. A very attractive bonus is that Brenda does all gardening and all cleaning of common areas which leaves you the freedom for work (or play). All costs are included in the $260 Including wifi. We enjoy a happy household, sharing the occasional meal or after work drinks, Brenda cooks great cakes to share and if you come from overseas and need to accommodate a friend or relative short-term, there is a night-and-day couch in the large lounge room. Student of English, Sports and French at UWA. I'm an open-minded, creative, friendly, respectful, person who loves the outdoors, fun events/ activities/ trips, music, coffee and good food. (My mother tongue is German.) Generally open for any kind of accommodation type.
I'm a cheerful presence who is very clean. I love being social but also appreciate my space. I've lived out of home for over a year and am very familiar with the lifestyle. I've been known to be a helpful and cooperative housemate. Love a good laugh, I don't take myself too seriously !
My name is Marine and I am a French archaeologist moving to Perth in aim to do my PhD at UWA. I am a chatty and funny person who likes to meet new people and socialise, thus I am not the type of roomy who stays locked into her room (even if it could happen sometimes when I will have deadlines with the PhD ;p) I am quite organised and tidy and I like to let the place clean. I also like to do things all together like cooking and "prendre un apéro" ( French expression for an after work beer plus snacks) at home or outside. I like to go climbing, swimming and hiking and love to listen to music (but not too loud, don't be scared). I thing that sharing a house is the best way to socialise and discover a place and enjoy at your best your time in a foreign country (moreover when you are so far away from friends and family). I look forward to meet you future house/flatmate(s) ! Caution: I will arrive in Perth the 17th of May but I will stay there only for 1 month before going up North for few months. I am in search for a ONE MONTH accommodation from the half of May to mid June (and it is starting to be an emergency). I will look for a steady, long term accommodation around August.
Hi there ! I'm Maya, a 21 years old female on exchange from Paris until next July studying social sciences. I'm looking for a place from end of April with my boyfriend Alex ! He's from Perth, a 23 years old full-time carer and has a degree in pharmacology. We're both easy going and not super demanding, we just want a nice place not far from UWA and not too far from the beach !
Hello everyone! My boyfriend, Thomas, and I are looking for a place to live in Perth. I think that our best selling point is our story! So here it goes: Thomas and I met at Sziget festival (in Budapest) 1.5 years ago. I fell for his dark eyes, very thick French accent (you'll see!), his humor and his smile. I have no idea what he saw in me, but it might have something to do with the fact that I walked in a bikini all day. Or it might have something to do with my Dutch accent, who knows. Yes yes, we're originally from France and The Netherlands and have been doing the long distance thing ever since we met. Australia is an opportunity for us to be together for more than 2 days a month. Thomas will be studying and working and I'll be working (preferably in my field of work, deaf education). We absolutely love dogs (and cheese)! And unfortunately, my allergies (and hatred, sorry) make it impossible for me to live with cats. Thomas pretty much loves all animals, and humans for that matter. We're both people-people and like to be surrounded by them. We're arriving the 1st of August and we're planning to stay for at least 6 months and possibly even more than a year. This all depends on how it goes with Thomas' study, our job search and on how awesome Perth is. As long as it's affordable, we don't care whether we share a house or live by ourselves. We do prefer a private bathroom if possible. The area isn't that important either as long as it's not too far from the city center and in a safe neighborhood. If you have something for us, or you'd like to team up, please contact us :).
Hi, I'm Nicole :) I'm looking for a share-house somewhere in the Subi area. I am currently doing my PhD at PMH and would like to live a bit closer to work. I'm a pretty laid-back, easygoing person. Enjoy having a chat and getting out and about but also just like my downtime too. I'm pretty busy during the week and on the weekend like to spend time being active or just having chill out time. I love travel, music, food, books, movies, beach, sport...the list goes on. Would like to find a house that feels like a home. It would also be nice to find a housemate/s that are happy to hang out now and again but I do respect other people's need for space too. I'm a considerate person and like to keep things neat and tidy about the house.
I am an incoming postdoctoral researcher at the UWA. I am arriving in Perth on May 2017. I am looking for a room to rent in a shared apartment. I am a quiet person, easy going and with a wide past experience in sharing apartments with other people. I look for a nice place where to stay and new people to meet. That's why I think that sharing an apartment may help to have a easier start. I love sports, drawing, playing music, books, the sea, hiking and people to share all this with!
If you're after a roomie that can cook, clean, iron and look after themselves...look no further. Can either keep to myself or get amongst what is going on. Not a party animal. Do spend weekends studying. Enjoy getting out for fitness. Looking for a room that is unfurnished. Preference is to live with one other person.
Hi, just planning on finding a place short term (roughly 2 months) before i head overseas. I'm working full time however I can't give a guaranteed length of stay due to my job circumstances. Please let me know if my situation suits you Love a few beers, music, exercise & good company.
French girl who is studying at Uwa. Seeking for someone who is nice and want to meet other countries people. I usually go out on weekends, like doing parties, easy-going girl. But I am also very organised, hard-working. I like quiet room to work and being alone sometimes.
