I am a Postgraduate Student that will be visiting UWA for 6 months from the weekend of 12/13 Jan till the 13/14 July 2019. I'm from the UK and an astrophysicist, I generally keep to myself but happy to interact with the household and assist in the running of the house during my stay. This is my first time in Australia so i will be looking to pick peoples brains for things to do and places to visit, I am planning on learning to surf while I am here for example. I am a bit of a hands on tech geek, so great at fixing things. Budget is up to $275 ish with bills but flexible if a good property.

Lovely Nedlands cottage to share with two others: Brenda (Aged Care Worker) and Elena, first year student at UWA. Also YALLA an Australian Terrier who is well behaved and loves a game or two in the back garden. Brenda is the lease-holder of the property and the bonus is that she only works part time and is responsible for all the gardening and cleaning of common areas. We like to maintain a laid-back family atmosphere. Clean and tidy but not pedantic. All linen is provided if required. So all you need to do is look after your own room with plenty of time to work (or play). The Family/dining room is airconditioned and overlooks back garden complete with good old-fashioned outdoor toilet which has been modernised (no redbacks). There is also an outdoor table and ten chairs for Summer time barbeques. Our new housemate must be comfortable with dogs and hopefully enjoy music. (Brenda sings with Summerhouse - see on facebook) It would be a bonus if you shared those interests. Also if you enjoy the occasional shared meal, a drink or home-cooked cake, then this is for you. Beautiful garden to relax in and the cafe strip in the next street. Kings Park and the river provide plenty of options for walks/picnics. We also have a sofabed in the small but cosy TV Room - for any visitors who might come to stay for a while. Family and friends welcome. Apple TV available for catching up with movies etc.

Hey guys, the house is in prime location on Dalkeith Road just off Stirling highway and super close to a cinema, 2 IGA's (one of them 24hrs), 3 gyms, doctors and post office. The UWA is about 5 mins walking distance. If needed, the bus station is right in front of the house and several just around the corner on Stirling highway. There is a front and a backyard with lemon trees. A bbq and seating area is located out the back as well. We have got a carport and other parking options on the property and on the street in the front. The house has got 3 bedrooms and one bathroom with two sinks and a large spacious shower and heat light as well as fan and air conditioning. The whole house has got ducted air conditioning and heating. The toilet is seperate to the actual bathroom, so there will be no fights over the bathroom. The kitchen offers a lot of room to bake, cook and hang out together or with your friends and is connected to the open living area, which has got another table for dining as well. A spare bed is located in the living room as well in case someone needs to stay over. Your room has got a double bed, a bedside table and lamp and a wardrobe already installed (If you have your own furniture we just put ours in the shed). The house is really new and is kept very clean with regular rent inspections on top of that. I'm an easy going person who is very reliable. I'm a lab tech and I work in Bibra Lake. I have to drive to work, as the public transport in the area is next to non existent, so some kind of parking spot is needed. I'm an avid film fan and very interested in music , going to gigs when I can. I'm also a drummer and percussionist, but don't worry I won't be blazing away on the drums at home. Kings Park is across the road and the Swan River foreshore is just down the road. Hampden Road coffee shops are walking distance nearby. There are plenty of public transport options as well. There is a private rear courtyard which is nice to enjoy a coffee or meal.
