Hi my name is Ash just moved to Newcastle from Adelaide for a job with The Hunter New England Health Service. I’m friendly and don’t take life to seriously. Love to socialise but don’t mind chilling out on weekends also. I’ve lived in heaps of share houses with students, workers, males and females. Quite accustomed to sharing, respecting people’s space and keeping things tidy.
Emma and Kieran here! We are your standard description of a fun, friendly and easy going couple, who are welcoming and like to make new friends. We are both full time professionals working Monday to Friday as environmental consultants. We have one currently unemployed, awesome and low maintenance dog called Willow who is a 3 year-old small Corgi X (?). Current landlord can provide reference for us as well as for the dog. We are hoping to find a new place to jump into when our lease ends in February. Can provide any further details upon request. Thanks! ☺️
Hey, I'm Em. I'm social but I also enjoy my own company and respect other people's privacy. I'm very tidy and clean. I'm also a animal lover I have no issue with any. Little bit about me, I’m 36, professional, hard working and a traveller at heart. I'm originally from Queensland, but have spent the last three years in Sydney. In my downtime I enjoy hiking, exploring new places, travelling, binge watching a good TV series, volunteering at my local animal shelter and being active. But I also enjoy a few wines after a long week of work. I do spend time away mostly on the weekends either in Sydney, Brisbane or house/pet sitting around the place etc ** For room/house, I'm looking for short term from mid January 2018 for till possibly mid May 2018. The room to be furnished, parking available (either on or off street) $200 includes bill. Most of all, it feels like home :)
28 year old Kiwi gal looking for a friendly place to make my new home. I work full time at KOFM/Hit106.9. Like to balance my social time and down time - so I'm fun but not in your face about it all the time. I'm clean and respectful 😊
Hi I’m Tiksha, I’m 25 years old working at an architecture firm in town. I’m originally from the Central Coast and I’ve been living in a share house in for the past few years, looking to move right into town. I’m laidback, tidy and a social person and try to make the most of my weekends being out and about.
Good day! I am a brazilian moving to Newcastle to start a PhD program at UON. I am very friendly and social. I enjoy hanging out with friends, but also love to spend some time at home watching Netflix or cooking. I am a clean and tidy person who respects others privacy and space since I like to be respected too. Looking forward to share a house with friendly people.
Hello, I'm moving from Adelaide to Newcastle in mid-February to start a new job with the NSW state government, and I'm looking for somewhere to live! I've recently graduated from uni, have lived abroad (Cambodia and Japan); I enjoy hiking, exploring new cafes, and drinking nice beers. Not looking for a party house, but I'd definitely like to hang out sometimes. Don't hesitate to send me a message!
Bubbly, Explorer, Honest (written by my friends). Short info: Sensible and considerate. Believer of healthy, non-passive aggressive communication. *Laying it out early to facilitate mutual understanding 🙈: I dislike cluttered/dirty shared environment with items often misplaced (e.g., kitchen, living area). I’m sure we all want to live in a liveable home with considerate members. I don’t mind performing occasional acts of service, but unless the relationship greatly makes up for that, I’d honestly be disappointed and upset if I have to repeatedly clean up after someone. Detailed info: I'm a smiley introvert—albeit an energetic one—who grew up in a small island (country) called Singapore. I'm pretty 'flexible' in the sense where I have a huge range of interests. I love cozying up on the couch or a café with a good book; I'm really outdoorsy at the same time— I love taking walks and I do boxing. I spread my time between outdoor activities, fitness, culinary and my bachelor degree (psych; UoN, honours year). I have high empathy level (ps. I know how to read the atmosphere ;)), and I'm absolutely passionate about spreading love, smiles and joy. I love being the tiny ball of concentrated sunshine amongst my friends even though I'm an introvert and that means my battery does go flat sometimes. But it fills up my heart knowing that I've made someone feel more pleasant— even if it's just for a second! It's all worth it. You may have realized by now after reading all that I've typed that I'm an open book 😊 Hit me up if you think that you’d be happy (not just ‘okay’) living with me!
So unfortunately my landlord has decided to sell (living on Darby street and love it). So a little about myself. I'm accountant working full time for a firm in the CBD. Will be finishing my CA this year (two semesters). Before this I spent the last two years travelling Europe. And will be off again this year for four weeks to the Russia World Cup. If you enjoy travelling and/or the NRL we will most likely get along. Into my league and having a beer come Friday. Definitely not after a party house, but enjoy hanging out with the people I live with. I also have a bit of furniture from prior to going overseas - BBQ, TV, TV cabinet, lounges, outdoor setting, table and chairs, fridge, washing machine, mower, Xbox, Nintendo 64 etc. I also have a small dog currently with the parents, that I would ideally like to bring with me if it works out. Hope to hear from you soon!!

Hi guys My name is Caroline, I'm in my late twenties and I come originally from Switzerland. I'm employed at Uni, where I'm also doing a PhD. I've been living and working in Newcastle for a year now and I'll be staying at least for another few years. So preferably I'm looking for a long-term place to stay. I like to have time to myself and enjoy some quiet nights, but at the same time I'm also very social and like to hang out with others, chat, have dinner and drinks or go to a sports event (coming from Europe I'm a huge fan of soccer haha). I like to have it clean and tidy and I'm easy to get along with (always up for a good laugh). I have to warn you though I'm not a very good cook. I don't have an animal myself, but I'm definitely animal friendly and open to meet your little companion should you have one. As I don't own a car, it'd be practical to live close to bus stops, train stations or live in walking distance to grocery stores etc. I have made a few friends in Newcastle over the last year, but I'd love to make some more.:) To sum up, I'm looking for a place with a nice and relaxed atmosphere and where everyone gets along. I will do my best to be a good housemate - promise! Just for your information, I'm currently in Switzerland visiting family and friends, so I won't be able to come by for an inspection in person. However, I'm definitely up for a call via FaceTime or Skype to get to know you. I'll be back in Newcastle in early Februray, so should you rent out your room sooner than that I'd be willed to start paying rent already by then. I think that's all for the moment, I can't wait to hear from you.:-) Many thanks and happy greetings from the cold and snowy Switzerland, Caroline

I'm moving to Newcastle from Melbourne for work (lawyer) and I now need a place to live! As I'm new to Newcastle I'm looking for sharehouse with a good location and some fun/sociable room-mates. Outside of work I try and stay active , (gym, skiing, bike riding). Otherwise, I don't mind the occasional beer/wine, I'm easy going, tidy and I'm an okay cook. If you think we'd be a good fit send me a message
Hi, I’m Alicia. I have lots of different hobbies. I like to bake and can make macaroons. I have a sewing machine so I can repair your clothes but it does need it’s own space. I’m very active I play team sports mainly AFL at the moment but I can also play soccer, basketball and netball. I also try to get to the gym everyday of the week but when I’m at home I like to chill in front of the TV. I mainly watch ABC and SBS and have never watched an episode of the Bachelor. I like live comedy and music. I have been living by myself for the past year so I may not be as neat as most people. I’m happy to share household chores but not spending every weekend cleaning. I have my own furniture including a fridge so I am not looking for a place in an already furnished house.

Hi :) I am coming to Newcastle end of December and I'm looking for a room in shared house. From January to April I'll be doing a full-time internship as part of my Applied Physics studies. Currently, I am based in The Netherlands, where I go to university. I like cooking, socializing, and every now and then go into my own bubble to recharge. Dancing is a great part of my life, I really like salsa, zouk and other types of latin dances. I speak 4 languages (English, Dutch, Spanish and Papiamento). If you have a room, or think we could be good housemates, let me know :) Other questions are welcome as well! Cheers, Andrew

Hi, I'm David and I'm a 28 year old exchange student from Canada. I'll be studying at U of N from February-June, 2018. I'm a 3rd year double major in Political Science (Honours) and Religious Studies. I take my studies very seriously and rarely drink or party, although I do enjoy a good meal, nice drive and time at the beach. I'm also into fitness, and healthy living. I'm a former homeowner and landlord and am a very clean and respectful person to live with. I'm looking forward to making new friends in Australia and I hope to speak with you soon!
I am 23. I am from Nepal and I have been living in Australia for the last 4 years though I don't know many people in Newcastle. I am working full-time and completing CA too. I am a quiet and boring sort of person who prefers being a couch potato over exercising but I am open to knowing new people, seeing new places and making friends. But you will definitely not find me throwing parties. I don't mind if you have friends over as long as you are not too loud since I have to study. I like keeping clean though I am not very pedantic about it. And I love dogs, not that I have any, but plus points if you have one I can play with and steal some of its love for myself. I should add that I am an 'experimental' cook and would be quite happy to let someone taste my cooking occasionally (too much of it can be dangerous to your health).
i'm looking for a home! i've been trapped in semi-rural maitland for six months and i'm looking at moving back into town. i work, eat well and respect privacy. mostly i'll be found tinkering on a new project, lazing around with a book, working around the garden or on my writing. i'm also tidy, find solace is cleaning and prefer to do my required socialising outside of the house. finding enviro concious housemates i can not only coexsist with but create friendships with is the absolute ideal!! looking to move asap anywhere from georgetown to merewether (with islington being the central point) but not much further outside of those boundaries. i'm an experienced renter and can back up with references and receipts if you need reassurance that i can pay all bills on time. please hit me up with a message if youre offering a room that might suit!
Howdy hey! I'm Anna and I'm 20 years old. I'm looking to rent a room in the Newcastle Area such as Cooks Hill, Wickham, Hamilton, Maryville etc and may consider Charlestown/Kahibah/Adamstown Area - but not further south! Basically, to sum me up:- - Employed Full Time at a Law Firm - Vegan - Does CrossFit (yea I'm a walking meme, I know) - Enjoys a beer or 10 - Great record collection that you're most likely envious of - Loves preparing food and sharing with others I also have a Golden Retriever named Tyson. He's an old boy, he's 13 this year but he is still a puppy to me.. I would love to bring him along! He's quiet and doesn't bark at anyone or anything, he's very social and is super well behaved - he's a VERY good boy. If he were a human, you'd have a beer with him at pub because he's an all round good bloke. I'm willing to pay $50 extra a week to bring Tyson along. I'm looking to live somewhere clean, tidy, not a weekly party house but dinners/drinks on the odd occasion ok. I enjoy my space and privacy, but also enjoy hangin out. A veggie patch or lemon tree would be cool too! Please let me know if you have a room available in the above mentioned areas!
Hi I'm Grace, I'm almost 19 years old, I live on the outskirts of Newcastle and I work part-time in a bar on Honeysuckle. In 2018 i plan to study a Bachelor of Business/Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the UON City Precinct. I am a clean and tidy person who loves her alone time but also loves socializing and having a drink every now and then lol. I love cooking, keeping active, reading, partying and hanging around with friends. Moving into Newcastle nice and close to the Uni would be a lifesaver for my bank account to not have to pay for fuel and parking haha! Hit me up if you're keen!
Hi I’m looking to find some roommates to find a house or apartment with me. I’ve got everything to furnish it so you’d just have to furnish your own bedroom. I’m in the process of looking at properties in Wickham, Maryville and Carrington. If you’re interested in teaming up let me know! I work also full time and am doing a PhD in creative writing part time. :)
Perfect spot in Wickham, 5 mins walk to the centre of town and honeysuckle. high ceilings in all rooms as well as built in wardrobes (triple wardrobe in room available). large undercover deck as well as nice lawn out the back and another deck out the front. close to everything you need (15 second walk to the nearest pub) internet included in rent as well as some bills.
What's more interesting than a girl who has a cat and can't manage to wake up for her 8am lecture? I'd say I have a lot to offer but even my own girlfriend won't netflix and chill with me.
Hey I am super easy going and don’t let things that other people do bother me too much. I am a neat and tidy person who won’t leave a mess too long before I clean it up. I’m an artist and also learning dressmaking so have a fairly creative personality. Animals are my favourite thing and I would love to find a pet friendly place for the future but it’s not a deal breaker :^)
I am moving to Newcastle for work and am looking for some easy going and friendly housemates to move in with. I am tidy and respectful and have lived in shared accommodation for the last four years. I will be working full time so will not be home much throughout the week but will be keen to have a chat and the occasional drink and meal with others.
Hi, my name is Kevin, and I am moving to Newcastle for a new full-time job around Jan/Feb. I am looking to rent a place for roughly 8 months, as my job will involve relocation. I am hoping to find a person that loves food just as much as I do. I enjoy going to the beach, playing video games, going to the gym, and cooking food. I am a happy, energetic and responsible individual. I am also willing to team up to find a place to rent.
My name is Dinuk, I am 22 years old and I am from Melbourne, where I've lived my whole life up until now. I am to start my course in physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle as of February 26th. I am someone who is friendly and sociable but also someone who respects personal space and boundaries. I have previously lived in a shared accommodation in Melbourne so i know what it's like living with others in regards to hygiene and cleanliness. I can also be quiet diligent with studying so you may see notice that I might study till late. I very much love to cook, and would be happy to have cook ups or just spend time with others. I also like watching tv shows, reading, and going for walks and spending time with friends. I am also easy going and very approachable. I hope you may take this all into consideration, thanks.
Hi! I'm a full time art student - starting degree in Natural History Illustration next year at UON.. and work weekends in retail. Long term preferred. Looking to move between early to mid January (when the lease is up here). Thanks to a greedy tax man.. (somehow ended up OWING money this year 🤔) ..I'm not in a position to provide much bond/rent in advance at this stage.. 0-2 weeks bond is all I can commit to for now. Looking for a large room - I have a drawing table+computer desk I'll need to fit in there, I’ll probably downsize to a double bed so I can squeeze more into a room. not a big party person, being 30(ish) i prefer red wine and cheese platters to beer bongs, but do enjoy a good bevvy filled banter in the yard and a cheeky night out once in a while. veggie patch (or potential for one) and a nice yard space would be awesome. red wine is the nectar of the gods and cheese platters complete with crackers, dips and cured meat selection are dinners of champions who can't be bothered with real food. chocolate is a constant. disney isn't just for kids. quite happy to be anywhere on the scale of keeping to ourselves or becoming BFF's. i have a very clean indoor/outdoor cat. gypsy, she's a beautiful ginger kitty, v. small. she kinda hates everyone (not mad just very very shy). so won't be all up in your business. spends most of her time asleep in the shade or on my bed at night. If i can give her access outside via a window in my room she's likely to not ever venture into other parts of the house. not a clean freak so I’m not going to lose the plot if you leave a dish out for a day but if things start growing in the sink and fridge that's not cool.
It's a beautiful Federation house with hardwood floors, High Ceilings, large rooms, plenty of space, enclosed yard, room for an office/studio and a large shed for storage/studio. The location is central to Bar Beach, town, Beaumont Street, Market Town, Callaghan Campus, Newspace with easy access to any direction in Newcastle. Not a party house.
Our house is in a great location, close proximity to a variety of cafes, the new university building, Conservatorium of music for any music students and a quick drive or ride to the beach. We have on street parking, never struggle for a park. Parking permit required which you can get from the city council. Our house is three bedroom and three bathroom, giving you plenty of your own space. Your room will have its own ensuite. We have two split system air conditioners. Entire house is furnished excluding your bedroom.
The house is located between Market Town and the Junction Fair, making Coles, Woolworths and Aldi supermarkets easy to walk to. About a 5 minute walk to Darby Street and 10 minutes to Bar Beach. Parkway Avenue has lots of on street parking available off peak and there is enough room for two cars in the driveway when parking is hard. The bedroom is large, has high ceilings and good light. The bedroom is not furnished. There is room for some furniture in the shared spaces, such as lounge or outdoor furniture. There are 2 fridges, you can share the larger one. The house has 1 main bathroom (with a bath) and a second toilet with it's own sink. The kitchen, living and dining is open plan, and leads onto the rear verandah and yard. Bills: wifi is $24 each per month, elec/gas/water is approx $40-50 each, per bill. This is a non-smoking, no pets property.
