Hello! Are you coming to Launceston for AMC/Uni mid 2019? Are you a student, studying the second semester in 2019 (room available AFTER June 2019) then we might be the home you are looking for during your studies! For students, the room rates are $150/week (I have two different homes, only one is featured here) and have different inclusions and as a student, there is no room sharing unless you are a couple. Contact me for couple rates. The home featured and pictured here is fondly called VB and it has been home to students from around the world for over 10 years...so you will be joining a family that spans the globe! Both homes have had similar history and have a wall of fame to join ;). When you see our VB kitchen wall.....you will see the variety of people who have shared this home with you - get your pic up on our wall and make history with us. We also share family dinners with our other share home family...so you will be part of a new network when you walk through our door. The home is two story, has a wonderful balcony overlooking a pretty garden, full of roses during summer, and looks out to the Tamar river, with the fabulous setting sun on a warm day. Each room in VB has in-room heating, all linen and bedding supplied - if you need it - with everything you would need for your study time here in Launceston and a fully equipped kitchen. What's included in both homes, if you are a student? Study desk/lamp/chair, and rooms have double or queen beds other than our fondly-called Sunroom. AND we are just under 2km from the AMC/Uni...people staying here have walked, ridden bikes or used their cars/caught the bus. There is a large wifi internet down-load you share with your housemates, and all the water and SOME of the power is included in your weekly rent. For VB, because your landlord lives-in, you get to have someone who keeps your toilet/bathroom clean and the common areas clean too...now that is fairly amazing ;). Clothes and dish detergent and toilet paper is also included. Most of the students who have stayed here have been PhD students, ocean or marine engineers, valuing the quiet space and ability to focus on getting their studies done vs dealing with share house politics which can happen in some homes. So, if you like space to enjoy your down time reading a book in the sun or watching a movie, AND a quiet environment to study, this is probably a great place for you. The home is a home for you while you are away from your own, with a great lounge that also overlooks the river and the sunny garden, with a large TV for times when you are over study and want to veg out. Fruit picking in the Launceston area during our summers? If you are planning ahead and looking for somewhere to stay during your November 2019 Working Holiday Visa work at local berry and fruit farms, we may be the home you are looking for. Remember, this is for the end of 2019. We are currently ONLY booking students/young professionals for the study year FROM June onwards. For the end of the 2019 year, get in touch and let's discuss what your $115/week shared room rent includes and how we have our summer share homes work. My other home is also a great space and somewhat larger - and there are rooms still available there too, for MID 2019 uni/AMC year. If we sound like the sort of place you would like to share with us, call us or drop Suz a line and we can see if we both have a fit. We can't wait to hear from you!

Hello My name is Jacob I have recently moved to Tasmania to get a better start at life. I will be starting my apprentiship in cheffing so I would most likely be constantly busy with work so at the end of the day I like to relax. This is what would make me a good housemate as I am respectful of everyones privacy and expect the same. If you would like to know anymore please feel free to call me. Thanks in advance and have a nice day!
Hi, I'm Cleanna and I've grown up around Launceston. I'm currently having a break from my studies of Journalism and Media and am looking for a place to live in Launceston. I'm an easy going person, very reliable and honest. I'm currently working multiple jobs about 4-5 days a week and have lived in student accomodation in the last year. I enjoy socialising with friends, reading, travelling and tasting my way through every burger place I come across. I would love to find a place in an already established sharehouse or more than happy to be contacted by someone who wants to start one! I look forward to hearing from you!
Hello I have just moved back to the state after been away for a few years with work. Looking for a place to share with some great people within 20 min walking distance to my work in the CBD. I will also be spending half the time living out at my parents property and commuting to work. I am very easy going, opened minded, clean and tidy, a great cook and sociable but also like my own company. If you have any questions feel free to give me a call. Cheers
I'm an energetic, adventurous beach loving Occupational Therapist. I will be working full time in Launceston from mid April and am hoping to find a place in Launceston or surrounding areas. Please feel free to get in touch!
~ AVAILABLE NOW ~ Sunny house in leafy Trevallyn overlooking the river and in walking distance of the city centre! With the conveniences of a large kitchen, nbn connection, heat pump, and lots of built in storage space in the bedroom. The two living areas get plenty of morning sun and are lovely and warm during winter. The bedroom is a good size and has a big window under the leafy trees outside (green and private). Located on a quiet street close to bus lines. The house is an older art deco property and is a bit quirky when combined with my things but I think that adds to the charm. The house is furnished and the kitchen is fully equipped so all you need to bring is yourself and things for your room (if you have your own furniture/kitchen things that you'd like to bring we can work that out too). Internet is $30 each p/month and is included in weekly rent. The power bill is split evenly every 3 months. Due to a bad experience with my last housemate I will need the new house mate to either sign on to the lease or pay a security deposit of 3 weeks rent to me. I have just signed a new six months lease (through to 19 of July) and would ideally like someone to at least stay for that period. (The property is a long term rental and the lease will be up for renewal again come July)
Unlimited internet, great views and garden. Netflix and Stan available. Really lovely sunny home, with enough room for you to have your own space. Available room is nice and quiet, great built in robe. I can provide a bed and furnishings if needed. Located close to the gorge, within walking distance to town. On a bus route, heaps of parking and storage room for bikes 🚲. Top spot if you like trail running or a short bush walk after work.
The property has amazing views over Launy, from Ben Lomond to Mt Arthur. The rooms are all very light filled, with either tiled or timber floors making cleaning effortless. The Kitchen is only a couple of years old and is well equipped in terms of appliances and utensils. The living area is very warm and light, with a large TV and heat pump/ac. There is plenty of storage and outdoor space. There is unlimited NBN Connection ($20/month) Overall the property is very light, warm and spacious, and has been a pleasure to live in. The property is managed by Oneagency Launceston, with the applicant to be included on the lease.
Hey I'm April! I work as a journalist & radio producer at the moment, working 2-3 days a week. Sometimes I go back to the family farm and milk cows as well. My ideal weekend consists of travelling, wine, cheese, and friends. I have just spent the last year living in Europe, hence why I am currently homeless (living with my parents again!! haha)

Once settled will be looking for a part time employment position and, barring that, voluntary work,... along with exploring NE and NW of Tasmania. Currently in Melbourne’s MORNINGTON PENINSULA region but about to move to Northern Tassie inside 4-6 weeks. Have been downsizing over the last 12 months with that continuing as a work in progress. Generally do more than my own share of the cleaning etc. and skilled in household maintenance n repairs. Prefer living with mature people and a mix of genders.
Hi, I am a 24 year old student who is looking to commence full time work in Launceston. Looking for short term accommodation :) I enjoy being around other people but also enjoy being a bit of a loner and keeping to myself. Non-smoker non-partyer I'm more of the reading, knitting and studying kind of person.
Hey, I'm Caitlin! I'm a 19 year old from the North-West of Tassie looking to jump in to the bigger part of the island. I'm looking to get some full time work in either Hobart or Launceston depending on what comes up and where is easier to go. I have a 1 year old Tibetan Spaniel named Winston, he can get a little crazy as he's still a puppy but for the most part he just wants some cuddles. I am a smoker (I know, gross) and sometimes a bit of a party animal. Mostly extroverted, but I sometimes enjoy my own company for a bit. I think that's all, but I'll probably flick you a message and ask a million questions.
