This is a lovely, private beach house on Coochiemudlo Island, a seven-minute ferry trip from Victoria Point. The house is a five-minute walk to sandy Morwong Beach and a ten-minute walk from the ferry terminal. We have one unfurnished bedroom available, and another unfurnished bedroom/work space if you'd like to also make use of that. Our home is for sale and we've moved on, so you'll need to be prepared for the estate agent to hold house inspections at 24 hours' notice, and vacate the property for an hour, leaving it neat and clean. We're offering three to six months initially, although if the house is still on the market at the end of that period, we are happy to extend the arrangement. In exchange for your flexibility, you'll basically have the place to yourself the majority of the time. We'll co-sign a standard rooming accommodation agreement with the successful flatmate. There is a fenced back yard, so if you have a non-destructive dog who doesn't carry on while you're not around, you're welcome to bring them. We have dogs so one or both of them might come with us when we stay. Coochiemudlo Island is a peaceful community with beaches, cafes, regular ferry and car barge services and mobile phone reception.

It's is just myself and my 13 year old daughter living here and it is not a noisy party house. I'm extremely easygoing and go away most weekends. We've recently sold our house at Victoria Point, and are looking for short to medium term accommodation while we search for rural property to purchase. We have our own 6 berth caravan, which would be parked onsite, and provide an beds for the family. I'm self-employed, running an Insulation Contracting company based at Capalaba, and my wife works a few days a week at Cleveland in the disability sector. The eldest son, Brandon, works at Chisholm College, Riordan is studying computer science at QUT, and works part time at Sirromet. The eldest daughter, Tiarnay, is in her final year at Carmel College, and works part time at Bounce. The youngest daughter, Makayla, is in year 10 at Carmel. We have a pet dog, named Bailey, who all agree, is a sweetie. We're very quiet people, and I am a handyman, able to repair or construct almost anything, who would be willing to help with maintenance or repairs.
