Hi! My friends Ella, Megan and I looking for somewhere to move in towards the end of January as we want to move in together and meet some great new people! I am studying at QUT doing a Bachelor of Creative Industries. Ella and Megan are both studying at UQ, in International Studies and Psychology respectively. We're keen to socialise on the weekends with a few drinks or over dinner, enjoy going to gigs or just hanging around at home. We're keen to live close to easy transport to the city, and transport to Red Hill as that's where Megan and I currently work. We can afford around $200 a week each including bills, internet etc. Contact me if you think you'd be interested!
Hi there, 29yo corporate professional doing the 9to5 thing in the city. I try to get out most weekends so am rarely around. Likes: Cooking, sports, beach trips and hiking I only have bedroom furniture with me at the moment so a furnished place to move into would be great. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
About me: I'm a young professional in his 30s who works as a software engineer. In the evenings I like to go for a run, read, watch tv or a movie, or just relaxing with a glass of wine. I speak three languages and I am keen to learn more. I do work from home on occasion so I would need a room that would provide enough additional space for a desk (roughly 0.5 m by 1.8 m) . What I'm looking for: - Ideally a room with private bathroom / ensuite. However, sharing with one other person is not a problem. - No more than two other housemates.
Hi folks, Victoria, James and I (all mid 20s) have a room available for rent in our humble Paddington abode. Available on 3rd September. Location benefits: - Arguably the most convenient but quiet street in Paddington. - Suncorp Stadium - 700m walk. - Woolworths (a shit one) 200m away. - A selection of cafes and bars 100 - 200m away - remy's, Sassafras canteen & Shouk Cafe. - Bus stop - 150m away, 10-30minute ride into the city. - 40minute walk to the city (winter only), unless you like to look like a sweaty, perverted basket case. - It's Paddington, so you can pretend that you live a life of wealth, even though the BMW parked outside your house is not yours because you need to park at the base of the hill to save your below quarter filled 1995 Corolla from failing to draw petrol. House benefits: - House is completely furnished, apart from your room. - We have a lot of stuff that you are more than welcome to use. - Pretty much the only house in Paddo that doesn't have "security bars" on the window's, this means that if the house goes up in flames, it's unlikely that you will die. Nice! - Tiny lawn that is great for our piss-poor gardening skills, but provides enough shrubbery to make you feel like you don't live in a housing commission or mental asylum. - We do have plants inside and a nice front deck! - We have a family of orb spiders that live in the trees away but outside of our house, they eat all the flies, so you will basically live in Switzerland. - House is actually nice, privately rented and we are pals with our landlord. - Remote garage and plenty of parking. - We don't know how or why, but we have two wheelie bins! House shortcomings: - Aircon only in the living room. Room benefits: -the room is downstairs with external entry, via the outdoor main staircase. - massive, i don't have the measurements but seems like 5m x 6m. House rules: - No couples. - Unfortunately we aren't allowed dogs. - FORTUNATELY we aren't allowed cats. - Can negotiate rent dependant on room, between the largest and the smallest. - $160, $170 or $180 per week (room dependant), plus bills that are split in quarters. - Bond - $590. - Wanting to live here for a year. About us: - Very generous, respectful towards each other and helpful. - All of us have graduated and have full time positions. - Courteous and clean. - Spend the majority of each day taking the piss out of ourselves and the classic situations that we get ourselves into. We laugh a lot, but also sleep a lot. Kind of like sloths on happy gas. - Enjoy going to said cafes, Suncorp and bars. We aren't huge party animals, prefer to eat a lot of food, but are known to have a wild one here and there. About you: - Able to help out your housemates, i.e; unpack dishwasher, sweep and so on, don't just watch everyone else do it. - Reliable, respectful and courteous & as friendly as us. - Trustworthy. - Ability to laugh at yourself and not take life so seriously. - No arrogance or entitlement. Even if you owned the BMW it still cops bird shit. - Ability to chill but also have fun. - Not lazy, doesn't stupidly waste power and so on. Please email if you would like to check the place out!
I am a clean, tidy person, and will respect your private space, but also would love to socialise by watching movies/ TV, playing board games or enjoying a nice household dinner and drinks. Currently have teamed up with 2 other girls who are also 20yo and are all wanting a 4th roommate.
Hello! We are a couple (Australian and American) who have been living in the USA. We are looking for somewhere awesome to move into in early January!!! We really want to make friends in our new house as we are leaving a lot of ours behind here in Tallahassee, FL. Any orientations, preferences, or identities are a-okay with us, please let us know so we can accomodate your wishes when we meet you :) We like a beer, a glass of wine, and cooking. We aren't huge partiers, so we are looking for housemates who are just down to chill, watch an episode of something or play some board games with us and jam some records. I've also got a Playstation which you'd be welcome to use for games or Netflix. We no longer smoke but if you do, it's not a deal breaker for us. While we are health conscious, we are not vegetarian or vegan (I'm slowly making the transition) but if you are, please let us know so we can make sure we respect your kitchen and food area :) We own a very friendly small-medium dog (a Kelpie mix named Chia) who is currently at her grandparent's place. She is a true outside dog and prefers to stay outdoors most of the time unless the weather is really bad. Ideally we would like a space with a backyard that accepts pets or already has pets as she gets along really well with other dogs, but we understand it's difficult. She gets very spoiled there so it's not an issue if you do don't allow animals. I'm a hospitality veteran and Mike works in software development so he uses his computers a lot. He will probably also pick up a casual job in hospo or retail. I am also studying Journalism online and I'm in my final stages, so that keeps me pretty busy when I'm not working. I hope to start a placement soon after I graduate, so I'll be out a lot. I am more than happy to pay upfront for the bond and four weeks rent (inc. utilities) if you are interested in taking us. Since we are coming back from the States we have pretty much no furniture at all; if you're moving and need to get rid of yours, please let us know! Even just a bed would be a great help. We look forward to meeting you :) Mike and Tayla
Hey Guys! My friend Emily and I are looking for a third housemate to start applying for houses, looking to move in the first week of January. We have been inspecting houses in suburbs close to the city (Red Hill, Paddington, New Farm, Kelvin Grove, Auchenflower). We are looking for a spacious wooden house, with decent sized bedrooms, preferably with a deck and a yard. This is our favourite house so far to give you an idea: http://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-qld-auchenflower-419751694 We are wanting to pay under $200 each. I'm 18 and Emily is 19 and we are both studying Film and New Screen media at Griffith Uni Southbank. We're both creative and laid back people, and want to create the cutest share house with heaps of nice plants and furniture and have a little vege patch in the yard. Let me know if you wanted to meet up with us and inspect some more houses (we're planning on doing a few more days of inspections in the next few weeks).
Myself & my partner are due to move overseas in around 15 months so are looking to move into a property to cut the costs on our current house. Ideally we are looking for a house share with a private area, such as a bedroom & lounge area solely for our use. We are both 27 and working full time, myself in marketing and my partner in finance. We have been a couple for 6 years and are well travelled with having previously lived in the UK, America and now Brisbane together. We love animals but have none of our own so any place with a dog would be a huge plus for us! We are both non smokers & enjoy going our for dinner & bars, not party animals but enjoy drinks on the weekend with friends.
Hi there. i'm a tradesman and plant operator, looking for a relaxed place with chill people. i'm a considerate and clean guy who loves cooking and sharing a meal with his housemates. i work fulltime, 6 nights a week, so would prefer housemates that are a bit more mature, and are past the "party house" stage.... :) I AM LOOKING FOR A HOUSE ONLY, NOT AN APPARTMENT.....
Hey! We are two Swedish girls travelling Australia looking for a room to share til the end of the year (29th of December) before we start our travelling around the country. Both of us are working part-time in the city. We are friendly, laid back and tidy. I believe we're easy to get along with. Both me and Gaby are social and have a pretty active life style so wont be sitting around the house all day. Anything you would like to know just ask us. We look forward to hearing from you soon! Regards Pim & Gaby
I'm looking for a nice single room in a clean, beautiful and shared house where I can meet some great people and call the house my home :) I'm 26-year-old Polish, work full-time as a development engineer in CBD and go to the gym 4/5 times a week. I'm all into sport, recently started to surf. I do my dishes always immediately and require it from you as well :) Hope to find a great place! ;) Cheers, Krystian
A couple of Pommes moving to Brisbane, both healthcare professionals we are looking for somewhere to base ourselves whilst we organise employment and get to know the city. Ideally we want a room with en-suit. We are socialable but also respect privacy, both of us can cook and one of us enjoys all sport and needs educating in Aussie rules and NRL!
Great bright room, wooden floorboards. Nice trees outside, plenty of airflow. Tiny walk to paddington shops, antique centre, galleries etc. bond is $465. Rent is $140 a week. Bill's aren't much at all. Internet $10-15 a month. Our lease goes till august next year
I'm a software engineer working in the city. I enjoy cycling to work, being social, being active, eating healthy (ish), cooking/eating foreign food. Dabble in a little sketching/painting occasionally. Will clean bathrooms and toilets haha!
Hi, My friend is moving out and in turn there is a spare room in our unit in Paddington. The property is less than 100m walk from Paddington Central Shops. with places to drink and eat very close by. The house is freshly painted with new carpet in bedroom and lounge. Appliances are already available and the Lounge room is furnished. Happy to pass on more information so shoot me a message if you need any further details. Thanks!
I am a very sociable house mate who is lookin for somewhere to stay in Brisbane for a few months. I am very tidy and appreciate other people's space. Looking to live with like minded people
Hello! I have one unfurnished room available in a great two bedroom, two bathroom unit in Paddington! The bedroom is a good size (would easily fit a Queen bed), built in wardrobes and private access to main bathroom. The apartment is in a quiet complex with a large living and outdoor entertaining area, aircon in living room with ceiling fans throughout, great views of the surrounding suburb and close proximity to local restaurants and cafes. The all round perfect Paddington unit!
I'm a 21 year old qualified Graphic Designer, studying another degree at UQ. I am bubbly, out-going and always keen on adventures. I'm in love with photography and all things creative and absolutely love my wildlife, so hopefully you don't mind me bringing some plants and an abundance of art supplies. Looking for a place in January to stay until late May/June as I am moving overseas for an internship in August and want to stay with family the few months before. If there is anything you would like to know about me, feel free to get in touch. I would love to hear for you!
Hi I will be looking for somewhere to move in to in early January. Could possibly move a few weeks before hand if needed. Looking for a house share max 3 bedrooms, so everyone can be social but it doesnt feel too crowded. Ive lived in Brisbane for 5 years, working full time. Recently sold most of my furniture so have my bedroom furniture to bring plus washing machine and fridge to bring with me. Last 2 are negotiable. I use my mobile so im not fussed on landline or additional internet provision. Cheers Lauren
Hi all, Flexible with move in date.. Late December to Mid January. I'm looking for a couple of flatmates who would be willing to share with an old girl and her two cats. I'm currently in a unit but with my lease ending in January I thought it might be nice to join a share house again for the social aspect. I have furniture and white goods to sweeten the deal. I'm pretty quite through the week but definitely don't mind sharing a meal with house mates. I have two rescue cats Alvin 2 and Casper 14 they pretty much take care of themselves and aren't much bother at all. Of course I'm anal about kitty litter smells and fur. You wouldnt even know they were there. I'm happy to share with any gender but would probably like to share with at least one male to keep a happy balance. Hope to hear from you Em.
Hi! I'm a full time graphic designer + photographer in a lifestyle PR/marketing company. Relaxed, easygoing and fairly quiet to live with. I'm quiet during the week and spend weekends with friends, at the markets, cooking and being creative. Never opposed to a cheeseboard and wine and will happily sit down for a chat at the end of the day. Huge animal lover so have no issue living with pets. [ preferably looking for somewhere with an ensuite ]

I am working in a restaurant some days per week in Fortitude Valley. I studied law in the University of Barcelona and my favourite specialisation is the public law and the environmental law. I love music, specifically rock, jazz, blues, reggae and funk. I like share my music and learn new music about other people. I like the astronomy, the philosophy and the politic questions. I love read books and the coffee! I love beer too haha but here it’s a little bit expensive! You always can have a beer and a conversation with me! I’m so friendly, reliable and easy-going. Hi there, I'm Zoe! I am a 33 year old Executive Assistant working for the Government in the Brisbane CBD. I am looking to move into a house (or possibly a large unit or townhouse) within the leafy suburbs of Paddo, Ashgrove, Red Hill or surrounds. My preference would be living with one or two other ladies around my age who would enjoy a casual drink, dinner or a TV series marathon every now and then and are casual and easy going. I also need an undercover car park. My interests include going to the gym, yoga, live music, travelling, photography and bush walking. I am a big cat and dog lover, so living with animals would be fine. At this stage I am flexible around move in dates and happy to consider something in the New Year also. I am also interested in team ups - so feel free to send me a message and we can discuss more. I hope to hear from you soon.
Hi, I`m Ali and have recently moved to Brisbane. I'm looking to move into a sharehouse with some cool housemates that will make the transition easier. I`ll be searching for a job ( I`m a chemical engineer.) in the first months and currently cannot be under a long contract. Thank you for reading this.

Plenty of street parking with no restrictions Internet is $12.50 a month for unlimited usage. $618 bond paid up front $150 rent paid weekly, nothing required in advance Electricity is billed quarterly and split between everyone. Water is included in the rent. Move in date is flexible! Feel free to ask any questions via phone or email. My name is Matt. I am 26 and am in my final year studying my bachelor of music. I am looking to live closer to the city for uni and work purposes. I work in hospitality in bars and at the entertainment centre. I am clean, polite, sociable and reliable. Like going to gigs, meeting new people and also enjoy my quiet time watching TV and beach to relax. Non smoker. Thank you.
My friend Dana and I are looking to move out with some more people towards the end of January to save some money and meet some great people. So a little bit about us... I'm a recent journalism and PR graduate, currently work casual in Milton while gaining some more experience in PR. Dana studies exercise physiology and works two jobs in the CBD in retail and food services so she's a trooper. We both enjoy drinks on the weekend or just after a long day, nachos (or any mexican food really) and kicking back with some Netflix. We're looking for a house close to the city with nearby public transport and a supermarket. Ideally a walkable area like Paddington but we're open to other places. Must be okay with small dogs! My family has 2 and they might be staying over once a month or less. They're friendly inside dogs, one's a mini poodle and the other a cavoodle, and they spend 99% of their time sleeping so shouldn't be a bother. If you're interested send me a message and we'd be happy to meet up :)
We're looking for a responsible, kind-hearted person to move into a beautiful Paddington home. The house has four bedrooms (the room available is a large queen with two sash windows), one bathroom and large decks out the front and back. It is nestled in the trees in Paddington. The house is located on a quiet street not far from shops, cafes, the wonderful Rosalie cinema, buses etc.
Hi Everyone, I am 26, moved to Brisbane about a year ago due to work. I am originally from Melbourne but I have decided to stay in Brisbane for another couple of years. I am an engineer and work the usual office hours Monday to Friday. My current lease is ending Jan 18ish and naturally I am looking for a new place that I will enjoy living in with housemate/s who I will get along with. Preferably I would like to live with housemates of a similar age (mid to late 20s.) I am hoping to lock in a place for 2017 sooner rather than later. I am a sociable person, always enjoy meeting new people and expanding my network. I would prefer to stay with housemates that are similar to myself i.e. tidy, friendly, reliable and easy going. The type of people that I can have a drink with on the weekend. I don't mind housemates having friends over, just not if they are going to keep me awake in the graveyard hours of a weeknight. I generally like to be busy and productive doing things, very rarely will you find me wasting away in front of the TV. I clean up after myself and don't leave dirty dishes lying around. Although sharehouses, are what they are, I do try give somewhat more of a homely feel about the place. You will often find me in the kitchen cooking up something interesting. I do enjoy cooking, but at the same time kinda cbf cooking for one every night. Would be happy to share cooking with others (love Italian and asian food) I don't own any pets, however, I do like cats and dogs and wouldn't be against living with either. Interests: cooking, keeping active, bike riding, running, exploring and travel, herb garden, markets, new restaurants, reading, keeping busy, doing nothing, beach, nights on the town (not every weekend) I am currently trying to save for a house so would like to cap my rent expenses to around $180ish + bills per week. If you think that we will get along and our requirements match then give me a buzz or shoot through a message.
The perfect Paddington location - Minutes walk to Given Terrace, shops, restaurants, bars, suncorp stadium and all forms of public transport. - Polished floors throughout - 3 double bedrooms - Modern kitchen with gas cooking and a dishwasher - Newly renovated bathroom with bath tub - Rear deck - Off street parking - Large yard with monthly garden maintenance included in rent - Quiet street
