Hi, I did a PhD in Materials Science for photovoltaic applications in Switzerland and will move to Sydney in March to start working at UNSW as a postdoc. So now I'm looking for a place to stay. Ideally it would be a shared flat not too far from the campus but neither from the beaches ; ). Actually even though I did most of my studies in Switzerland, originally I'm from Germany and am also half French. I'm a very active person, enjoy all sorts of sports (biking, hiking, windsurfing... am interested in surfing!) and teach yoga/pilates and gym classes in my free time. Besides I enjoy playing the guitar, singing, cooking and meeting new people. Here in Switzerland I'm a moderator for language evenings at the local pub, for people who want to learn German or English. I'd be happy to get in touch!
Hi there, I'm Olivia! I'm from Connecticut, USA. I am moving to Sydney to take a teaching course. I'd prefer a quieter home where I can study. I'm not really a party person but I am social. I'm very tidy and clean up after myself. My hobbies include snowboarding, grabbing lunch with friends, going to the beach, and exploring new places. I can provide references if needed.
We're sisters that are looking for a third (or potentially 4th) person to share with us in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. After both doing apartment-living for a while, we're keen to look for a bigger place where we can create a more homely vibe. Hello hammock in the back courtyard of a terrace...(hopefully!) Monday-Friday we both work long hours but come the weekend, it's all about the beach hangs, afternoon wines and chilling out. While we do love hanging together (and I'm sure will love hanging with you), we also both like our alone time so keen to have a house where there's no pressure to hang out together all of the time. Both of our leases expire 16 March so we're starting to dip our toes in and look from Potts Point to Point Piper, across to Paddington and Darlo, then up to Bondi, Bronte and Tama. Happy to answer any questions, or meet up for a post-work coffee or beer to get to know each other more.
Hi, I'm moving to Sydney on the 23rd of March. Looking to rent a private room in the eastern suburbs. I'm 25 years old, friendly, easy going and respectable. I like to socialise on weekends but keep to myself during the week. Thanks!
About me Chilled, funny, outgoing, energetic, clean guy with a good sense of humour. Don't like taking life too seriously. I am currently working for the government in Liverpool, so I won't be home heaps! I currently have a partner in Sydney so I will be out a lot. I am interested in all areas of Sydney, but from what I have experienced really enjoy Manly and Curl Curl the Northern Beaches as a whole. I am a very social person, I enjoy music, technology, water polo, surfing and exploring. I am quite quick witted and outgoing, so I'm not all that awkward in new environments and if I am, I'm not for long. When considering flatmates I would like to live with someone who has pride in their house and doesn't just want someone to fill in the missing rent. Feel free to add me, or even give me buzz would happily talk to anyone looking for a flatmate! Can provide more info over the phone and answer a few burning questions. Cheers, Reilly
Hey everyone :) Just arrived in Sydney last week and am looking for accomodation starting as soon as possible. Please also let me know if you have any short-term options ( 1 - 3 weeks). I am currently doing my masters in Business administation/Marketing at the University of Hamburg in Germany and will be spending a semester at Macquarie University in the Masters of Research program. Having lived in a variety of shared appartements during my time at uni in Hamburg and while spending a couple of months in Spain after high School, I like to claim that I am easy to live with and get along with most people. :) I would prefer a private & furnished room in a location which is not toooo Long (less than 1,5 h) of a commute to Macquarie Uni (though preferably more central or closer to the beach than right next to the university). I love to travel, try to go the gym (sometimes more, sometimes less motivated), meet up with friends .....just pretty usual stuff. My Student visa expires July 31st, so I will either head back around that time or try to stay a little longer with a tourist or working holiday visa. Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you think you might have an acommodation option that could fit. :) Sandra
I'm Jon 24 from England. Been living in Australia for a year and a half, in Sydney for a year of that. I'm chilled out clean but not a neat freak. Really social guy 100% not a hermit who lives in their room. Looking for a sociable house. Pretty quite in the week as I work in finance in the city but like to chill out with a beer and good food at night. Into my footy, cricket, music etc. Any other questions shoot me a message. Cheers, Jon
Hi My girlfriend and I just moved here as I got a job as a software developer. We are both super chilled people looking for somewhere to call home. We love cooking a good meal, a good glass of wine, and relaxing. We are bot sociable, respectful and clean. Thanks
Hey guys, I'm looking for my new home in Bondi! I'm 25 years old, have been here in Australia for a year now. I'm living in North Bondi, in a house I love, but will need to move because unfortunately my girlfriend has to go back to Europe and I can't to afford the rent myself. I came as a student, am now working in a nice Cafe restaurant in Bondi and I'm also looking for a job in finance to get a sponsorship. I really loved the country and don't plan to go back to France soon! I'm used to living in houseshare and looking for a gem, a proper home rather than just an address with people hiding in their room. I play basketball, I love to surf and I'm always up for a chat or for sharing a beer/dinner.
Hey there I'm looking for a new apartment from the 27th of february! Would prefer something around Haymarket/townhall /Surry Hills if possible. I'm a 21 year old german boy who used to work alot. Although I like to cook, you dont have to be afraid of a dirty kitchen 😊 Between 180-250 Dollar p/week. If it's a shared room with 2 empty beds I would know someone who could move in with me aswell! If you are interested send me a PM Thanks a lot in advance 😄
Sociable, clean & tidy flat mate. Ive been in sydney 4 years & looking for a place longer term. Self employed full time worker who enjoys weekends off meeting friends etc. Always going to see djs/gigs regularly on the weekends. Have a great bunch of friends who are equally as sociable. Not a big cooker, i eat out a few nights a week. Like to have beer / wine with flat mates of an evening or sit and watch tv/netflix etc.
I work full time in the city in marketing and I am about to start studying online full time. I can be very mature which usually winds up in people mistaking me for being much older than I actually am. Just up until a few weeks ago, a lady who i had been working with for 18 months thought I was 28. I'm not a massive partier, I like to think of myself as very friendly, but very respectful of others. I am tidy and do like coming home and hanging out in my room watching Netflix sometimes. I love animals also!
Hey, Looking for somewhere in Sydney for a few weeks - ideally a room in a shared house, location not an issue as long as easy enough to get to city within 1 hour on public transport for work. Im clean, tidy, sociable and FUN even tho a short stay always nice to meet new people :) Im from the UK, been in Syds for almost 4 years and im a Merch planner at The Iconic so if you want a discount you can make the most of it thru me! Lis
Hey gang I'm Henning, 23 years old from Germany. Recently graduated from a London University and starting a Master of Commerce at UNSW in February 2018. I'm looking to flatshare with chill young professionals or mature students. Looking for something not hours away from UNSW and close to a beach to surf. I'm happy to spend a little more money for a nice and clean place because I've been living in shitty places for long enough now. A bit about me: I've lived and worked in different places in and abroad the EU so I guess I'm not your stereotypical German. I love my beer though. I speak English, German and Spanish and am happy to live in a household that goes with any of those languages. In my free time I like to be out with mates and will probaly spend a lot of time discovering. I'm very into sports (rugby, bouldering, surfing). I'm fairly active (up early and to bed late), that being said I'm not looking to join a frat house either. If you asked my friends / family what they would describe me as I guess the typical answer would be either 'a laugh' or 'an idiot', chances are 50/50. Hope that helps... Hit me up if you think I'd fit in with you. Best, H
Hey potential roomies. This is the low-down on me: - I'm easy to get along with, I don't judge anyone - be yourself in your own home. - I love hanging out with friends but just as happy to relax and do nothing. - Respectful of privacy and personal space - Always up for a surf or anything involving the beach. I have always lived around Manly and know the area well. - I work full-time during the week - I have a car and a license - I'm clean and helpful - Despite my name I am Australian ** If you need to reach me after 5pm please text/call me, as I currently don't have internet at home. Anything else can be asked :) I look forward to hearing from you!
Here in Sydney on my working holiday visa! Hoping to work but also explore the city and hopefully the continent. Love the outdoors, especially the beach. Very clean and tidy. Love getting to know people but also very indpendent/ don't mind doing things alone. Everyone needs some peace and quiet sometimes. Always down to grab a bite to eat or quick cup of coffee or see a movie either at home or out. Love cooking and happy to cook for people. Always down to try a new exercise class/be a gym buddy!
Hi there, I'm looking to rent a single room while my Boyfriend goes to do is farmwork. I'm very easy going, like to cook, veggie, healthy living, and play music. Irish looking for a nice place walking distance to the beach
UPDATE: CURRENTLY TEAMED-UP AND LOOKING FOR PLACES. NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE. Hey everyone! After spending two wonderful years in Manly, it's time for a change. Next stop ... the Eastern Suburbs! I'm 32, Sydney born-and-bred, raised in the South (Cronulla), spent my 20's in the Inner-West, have done my dash in the North (Dee Why, Manly), and now it's time to finish the circle. Having lived with many people over the years, I think I've discovered the ingredients for the perfect house mate: - Moral compass (right vs wrong). - Clean and tidy (without becoming imposing). - A sense of humor and friendly personality (it is a home after all). - Boundaries (it's a shared home). - Cooking (with a glass of wine). - No drama (that's what TV is for). Happy to say I possess all of these (#humblebrag) and looking to live with someone similar. Full-time employed in the CBD as the Commercial Manager of a Renewable Energy Fund. I work regular hours, with evenings and weekends available at my leisure. I'm pet friendly, drug free, allergy free, and hassle free (that's a lot of free)! Pass times include health and fitness, attending events, socializing, and reading. I'm quite tall at 198 cm (6'6"), so I'm pretty good at dusting those high places and changing the odd light bulb. My worst enemy is the combined shower / bathtub. They're not built for tall people. As a consequence, looking for a medium size room as a minimum, otherwise ... I won't fit. I'm a very open person (maybe a little too open), so please feel free to ask any questions. Thank you for reading my lil spiel. It's so much fun advertising yourself ... Do you know what the sneaky knight on King Arthur's Round-Table was called? ... Sir-Prise (if you don't get this, it's not going to work).
