After travelling Europe for a couple of months, I'm now in need of a new home. I have no idea what I'm doing with my life, so I'm happy with both temporary and longer-term homes. I'm sure I'll be in Melbourne for at least the next 6 months, probably longer, so I'm happy to sign a lease and such. I've been living in share houses for many years, so I'm well house trained, clean, respectful, chill and all that jazz! I'm available to move in anytime. A bit about me: I'm 24; I have a love of animals; my favourite meals are brunch, pre-dinner snack and dessert; I enjoy nature and sitting in parks; I've been working full time at a ski store for what feels like forever (but I enjoy it); I try to always look at the positive and/or funny side of life; my hair colour/style changes frequently (currently pink); I just started attending aerial circus classes for fun/fitness and love it; I rely on public transport to get around; and I'm currently coming out of a 6 year obsession with Hi-5 (the kids band) that basically consumed my life. I will also provide daily smiles.
I'm a 21 year old kiwi who has been living in Melbourne for the past three years. At the end of last year I moved out of one of the colleges at Melbourne uni and am now looking to move into a sharehouse a long-term lease. I've just finished my undergrad degree at Melbourne uni, having done a double major in French and International Politics. I'll be continuing study doing Honours at Melbourne uni this year, so, wherever I end up living, I'll be around the house a fair amount when I'm not at uni, playing sport, at band rehearsals or doing casual work shifts. I'm a pretty chilled out kind of person but also enjoy the occasional party, so I'm happy to fit in with any home vibe! I'm quite a sociable person and am always up for a chat, so I'm hoping to move into a house with social housemates. I also love meeting new people and trying new things, so I'll enjoy living with anyone provided they're clean and respectful.
Hey I'm 22 and have just moved from Perth. I've lived in sharehouses for the past 5 years, and am really clean and easygoing. I study naturopathy full time and work part time.
Self employed girl geak engineer and electronic music lover. I am looking for a new home with people who have a life outside of the house but also like to chill and share a wine and chat from time to time. I don't smoke but I don't mind if you do, not fussed on what others eat or sexuality as its all relative, each to their own. Mutual respect is the way forward. Flexible with move dates, ideally early to mid to late . If you have a garden, that would be awesome. Again, not a deal breaker though. I love animals but don't have any. I am open to a sublet but prefer to rent and be on a lease and 6 months minimum is preferred.
Hiya I'm Amber a 27 year old kiwi chick who has been living in Melbourne for nearly 3 years, and flatting for a long time before that. I work full time permanent 8.30 - 5pm Monday to Friday in accounts in South Melbourne. About me, I have a pretty dark sense of humor, love my music and music doco's. I like going to festivals and getting ferel for a few days. I'm a pretty open book with myself and sharing stories at my own expense. I'm pretty low key during the week, alot of netflix and chill, on the weekends I might have a few drinks with friends or go to a gig. I'm wanting somewhere to make home for the year ahead and move into a share house with others. I would really like a laid back home where friends are welcome, there is open communication, and can hang out or have our own space. I am a smoker so 420 friendly important. Also the basics of adulting and having share house experience is key. Pay rent, contribute to household, be respectful, don't be a dick etc. I would like to move End of Feb or early March, somewhere Northside, with trams or train nearby as I currently live in the area off Sydney rd and love it.
Originally from Perth but been in Melbourne for 2 years and think of it as home now! Just finished a film degree so love film-making and watching films as well as being creative in general and making clothes, jewellery etc… also do pole and burlesque dancing. Love drinking wine and going out to gigs and art shows and all that but keep things pretty chill when I'm at home and am respectful of the other people I live with. Really hoping to find a place where I can be friends with the people I live with and make it feel like home. Bonus if you have pets!
Hi, I'm studying my Masters of Architecture at the University of Melbourne. Currently looking for a place to call home. I'm from the Gold Coast and spent a week driving down the east coast on the way to Melbourne. I'm a bit of an artist, so you can expect me to set up an easel and canvas somewhere around the place. Other than that I don't take up much room. I'm quite the nomadic character, and I've spent about a year in Nepal and India. In 2016 I was in Myanmar, Thailand and went on university related trips to Japan and India (for the second time). Looking to settle in Melbourne and focus on my studies. I'm interesting in everything, but my passion in life is art and design.
My name is Michael, I am a 23 year old coffee professional from Perth and moving to Melbourne at the beginning of March. I am starting a job as a coffee trainer for an awesome company in Collingwood and will be working 5-6 days per week. I enjoy coming home to relax with a tasty beer or wine, some good conversation and a movie. On my nights and days off I enjoy exploring the city for new places to eat and drink and spend my holidays snowboarding as much as possible! I have been renting for the last 6 years including in Melbourne, Perth and Switzerland and have never been late with any payments. I am trustworthy, clean and considerate and excited to find my new home!
20 years young, recently moved here from Adelaide, studying @ Melb Uni & working Transport Bar in Federation Square! Loving Melbourne's vibes :) **Recently remade my Facebook account, which might explain why it's so bland!** Easygoing, friendly, amicable, responsible, respectful, have lived in a share house before in Adelaide (hometown) and currently looking for a place just outside the city for convenience & possibly to share with some similar, fun people! Play soccer, love soccer & sport, studying a sport development diploma right now! Looking to move ASAP! :)
I'm a relaxed and tidy individual; enjoy my space but also enjoy co-working, sharing meals or just hanging out. I sometimes like to go to gigs too. I have a Bachelor Degree in Music and play guitar and bass; I usually have a few musical projects on the go at any time. Sometimes I go busking in the CBD and play gigs with a band. I work part time as a bartender at the Melbourne Recital Centre and am halfway through a Psychology Post-Grad. I really enjoy gardening, reading, cooking and listening to music in my spare time when I'm not playing. I live a humble existence and am always open to learning new things. I'm keen to team up with people who are looking for a new house. Ideally we'd all be creatively swayed into different artistic disciplines so we can bounce ideas off each other. Looking for people who would be interested in getting involved in multi-disciplinary collaborative projects and who would want to keep the house as an evolving entity. I have a lil cat named Pepper who would ideally be moving with me. She's a nutter at times (mostly dinner times) but is super affectionate and independent.
Hi all! So I'm 23, from Israel just moved to Melbourne on a working holiday visa. I spent the last five months traveling around Asia (India-China-Vietnam-Cambodia) Looking to settle down here for a few months to save up a bit. Working in hospitality. I enjoy cooking - not an amazing cook but I do love exploring and learning new things - and planning to do lots of it seeing how in the past five months I was eating out. I love music especially indie and folk and enjoy just chilling with others trading new songs and artists. I'd like to share a house with flatmates that occasionally get together for a house meal or a beer at the end of the day.
Heya! My names Jayden and I'm 20. I've recently moved to Melbourne from New Zealand for 6 months to a year for a working break before I return home to complete an arts degree in Anthropology. I'm a real genuine and friendly bloke, always down to meet new, beautiful souled, like minded people. Hit me up if you're looking for someone whom: - Is super friendly and a good conversation - Is a lover of all peoples - Always down for a cheeky beer and a yarn - Loves a good boogie - Is into good tunes - Is someone who can provide hugs at the best of times - Can also provide a pretty smile for you every morning - Can move in whenever suits - And is an overall chill dude There's a lot more to me than that, I just find it really hard putting myself into words. But If I sound like someone you could live with, give me a buzz.
I am a 20 year old university student who grew up in Singapore. I love a great night with friends in addition to being passionate about sport and music. I am really easy going and flexible with having people over. I am a people person and love to get to know new people.
I'm a young professional looking for short or long term accommodation. I'm very clean, sociable and enjoy keeping fit, and a social glass of wine. I work full-time in Marketing on Collins Street and spend my spare time visiting restaurants, reading, writing and try to be outdoors as much as possible. I'm very friendly and sociable and enjoy keeping an active social life. I am very clean and tidy and don't mind looking after the household if others are busy. Please contact me if you think I could be a good fit for your house.
I'm a 32 year old Pilates instructor and lapsed graphic designer who has recently moved home to suffocating, small town Brisbane after a 3.5 year stint living in Hackney, London. I'm an easy going kinda gal into all the usual things such as art, music, travel, food, wine, dogs, hating Trump etc etc. I'm looking to find some easy going, like minded housemates who may turn into some great pals or at least acquaintances that know how to use a sponge. I'm also good with a sponge, can whip up a Pescatarian friendly meal, pet friendly (dog obsessed) very independent and happy to do my own thing but always up for a wine/beer/cuppa and a chat. Although I'll be new to Melbourne (half of Brisbane has moved there let's be honest) I do have some friends down there already so no babysitting is required but I would love to meet some new people through my housemates and potentially build some sweet new friendships. My wild party days are well and truly behind me (did they ever really exist?) but I do still love a good gathering of friendly folk. I'm also up for checking out all Melbourne has to offer so anything cultural (exhibitions, dance performances, gigs) op shopping and market visits I'll be down for and always happy to have company. I'm also excited to explore the rest of Victoria and have a functioning vehicle in order to make all the road trips happen, all the time *pending my cars ability to make it down to Melbourne in one piece. Although I'm still in Brisbane currently, I have functioning phone and internet if you'd like to organise a chat or a Facetime or the likes. I will also be down for a visit next Tuesday-Thursday (28th Feb - 2nd March) So happy to pop in for a visit then. Anyhoo if you'd like to know more please feel to get in touch. Looking forward to meeting my new Flatmates very soon! Luisa :)
Hi, I'm originally from Sydney but have lived in Melbourne for 5 years. I work at the store Dinosaur Designs and am about to start studying again - a BA in creative writing. I have a degree in French, have been to film school, have lived overseas for three years... I enjoy a relatively quiet home as I do a lot of writing and reading, but also love sharing a wine, meal etc. Mainly go to gigs and dinner parties for fun, not really a wild child and enjoy home as a sanctuary. My main interests: literature, art, 3rrr/pbs, zines, films, nature, dance.
Hi I'm Huw. Currently studying Primary School teaching at Uni while working part time. I'm neat and tidy, respectful and easy to get along with. I've lived in share houses for the past 6 years so I know the drill. I grew up in Essendon so looking for a place in Melbourne's north/northwest, for 12 months plus.
We love life, culture, music, food and people. American and Lithuanian who have lived in US, UK, Spain, Switzerland, Lithuania, Holland.. with permanent home in London cannot wait to see Melbourne ! :-)
G'day legends, I'm looking for a place to live in Melbourne whilst doing postgraduate work, as well as chill out and pursue creative interests! I am currently in Brisbane, QLD but I will be starting to study full time at Monash University by the 20th of February doing a Graduate Diploma in Reproductive Science, and I'm looking for people who I can study as well as chill out with, who are hopefully also clean, conscientious and respectful of one another. I get around having a pint at the pub, a boogie at a bar or festival, and of course hanging out at home. I will be looking for part/full time work once I move down. I'm a big fan of house, disco and techno music especially the Boiler Room series, film and design. Check it out!
Hi, My name ist Matthias and I am a 24-year old student from Germany. I'm searching for a room to stay in from 7 April until the end of August this year. I will be doing research on my master's thesis in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Melbourne. My hobbies include running, skiing, volleyball and I also would like to learn some new sports as well as see as much of Australia as possible! I would describe myself as open, friendly and uncomplicated. I don't have any pets or dietary restrictions. I would prefer a single room to myself because I will be working full time on my research. However, I am looking forward to communicating and engaging in activities with my potential flatmates! If you want to rent your room starting at the 1 April, I would be okay with it! I'm looking forward to hearing from You! Yours sincerely, Matthias Schoepplein
Hey! My name is Anja, I’m 22 and I’m looking for a room in a house/flat asap as per now I'm just extending and extending my stay at a hostel, and I'm not too keen on spending my semester here. My price range is preferably up to about $250 pw + bills, though I’m able to pay more as well. I’m also able to pay bond, and I'm reliable with rent. I’m looking for a place to call home whilst in Melbourne and would also like to hang out with you / cook dinner together / go out every once in a while if you're up for that. I’m not a heavy partyer, but I do like the occasional party. I have experience from shared living spaces and will happily take part in chores around the house/flat. I actually like vacuum cleaning and emptying the dishwasher / doing the dishes, so I’m happy to contribute extra with this :) Some more info about me: I’m from Norway and I usually study chemistry there, but I’m finishing my bachelor’s degree at the University of Melbourne this semester. I’m preferably looking for a furnished room, though unfurnished may also be alright. I’d like to rent a room until late June or sometime in July (whenever works for you). I love animals, music and travelling, and I’m a vegetarian (but it won’t be a problem for you). I obviously don’t have any household items to bring into a sharehouse, but I will happily buy / chip in for anything needed!
Hi there, I'm Amy - 24 years old and from Melbourne. I work full-time in publishing, and keep the standard 9-5 office hours. I just finished my Masters and am looking to move closer to the city to fully enjoy the benefits of not having to study on the weekend. I'm a big culture fan - books, films, TV, music, gigs etc etc - and love nothing more than a chat over beersand some cheese with good tunes and nice people. I'm sociable and friendly but also really dig my alone-time and am respectful of other peoples schedules and needs. I like going out just as much as binge watching The West Wing. I can guarantee I'll be house-proud and am great when it comes to washing up and contributing the household in any way I can. LGBTIQ+ friendly, non-smoker, animal lover, proud owner of both Netflix and Stan, come with plenty of kitchenware and a couch (that don't necessarily have to come with me just yet), ready to move in whenever and looking to hang around for at least six months.
My name is Andrew, I'm a student at Melbourne Uni doing a commerce degree. I'm 22 years old, relaxed and easy going. I enjoy sharing dinner and a good conversation as well as doing my own thing at times. I think I'm a neat, quiet and respectful person that's very chilled out with things in general.Partying isn't really my thing but I'll be down for a big night every now and again. I've got some house furniture to add to your house, a washing machine, microwave and a few pots and pans. Looking to move in ASAP as I start classes in less than a week (27th!!!). Shoot me a message if you think I'd be a good addition to ur house! Cheers.
Hi, I'm a student about to go into my second year of my bachelor of fine arts. As a housemate I'm generally very quiet and clean, but love cooking (not just for myself but for others). I'm very quiet during the week and spend a lot of time reading books or watching films, but I love to catch up during the weekends and socialise. :) I'm a vegetarian but have lived with both meat eaters and vegans so other peoples' food choices don't bother me! Also, I come with many houseplants. I'd love to live with other people involved in the arts, or other students but this isn't a necessity!
Hi there, I'm Nicole, a 26 year old Melbournian who has spent the past 15 months working in Tokyo, Japan. I'm looking for a minimum of 6 months rent, close to the CBD for work. As a housemate I am extremely neat, tidy, respectful, appreciate good conversation with a wine but also respect personal privacy. I would be looking to move in from the 20th April. Hopefully I'm the house mate you're looking for!
3 friends; sociable, friendly, reliable. Looking for a place to rent together. Happy to team up with others but ideally maximum 4 people in total.
Hi I am looking for a sharehouse within or not too far from the CBD. I am also open to the idea of house hunting together with the right person. There are a couple of reasonable apartments around Brunswick West area for no more than $190pw. I just need someone to team up with. I'm a full time fashion student in the city. Love to have a good time, laugh, music, photography and so on. I'm clean, neat, tidy and very respectable of others Feel free to ask any questions.
Hello there future housemate(s), I’m Sanjit, a 22-year-old student who’s looking to move to Melbourne from Brisbane in order to pursue my Master’s degree in Food science at the University of Melbourne. I’m very reliable with rent and other bills (can provide references of previous housemates). I’ve lived in many share houses before so I know the drill! I’m hygienic, clean and tidy! I’m very chilled out and laid-back (so much so that I’m almost horizontal) and hope to find similar easy going and open minded housemates. Looking to rent a place for a minimum of 4-6 months and can extend it if it works out fine. I’m a very sociable person, love going out for food, drinks, movies and would love to find a chilled out place to call home. I also respect everyone’s privacy and will not be constantly pestering you haha. Since I’ll be starting with my Master’s degree, I’ll be pretty busy during the weekdays at Uni but I’m always keen to chill on the weekends. I love watching and playing soccer! (GO Manchester united!) I enjoy scuba diving, longboarding and am now looking into indoor/outdoor rock climbing. Also enthusiastic about patting dogs and watching funny dog compilation videos. I’m an avid music listener! Love rap, hip hop (artists such as Kendrick lamar, Eminem, 2pac, Biggie, The underachievers, Joey badass, J cole etc), classic rock (Pink Floyd, Guns n roses, Aerosmith, The beatles, Jefferson airplane, Creedence Clearwater revival, The rolling stones, Eric Clapton, Queen etc), Electronic (Flume, Nicholas jaar, Odesza, Pretty lights, Eric prydz, Bassnectar etc) and sometimes when I’m feeling classy, I’ll hit up some Wolfgang Mozart (what a ridiculously cool name) or Bach. So if you love music, I’m sure we will get along!! Also, I have a pair of headphones so you don’t have to worry about me blasting loud music. Also down to binge watch movies and tv shows. So, if you think we’d get along and would like to team up or you have a room available in your house, hit me up! I’m currently travelling overseas and will be arriving in Melbourne around the 25th of February. Send me a message if you're interested. Hope to hear from you soon :)
Hey everyone! I'm Chad, and I am a male exchange student from Canada studying at the University of Melbourne. I'm going to need a place until the end of June, so please send any possible accommodations my way! More about myself, I am a very easy-going, tidy, and respectful person that loves to meet with other people. Playing, watching, and breathing sports is my passion as well as exploring the nooks and crannies of different cities, like the beautiful city of Melbourne!
My names is Harry and Im a 28 year old Londoner who has recently moved to Melbourne! I'm studying graphic design at RMIT and will soon be working part time for a music distribution company. I'm a fun, considerate person who would be an asset to any house /apartment (if I do say so myself haha). Although I am a studying again, I treat this as a full time job and am fully respectful of house rules, particularly with regard to keeping things clean and tidy. I am personable and friendly and will contribute towards the house as much as possible, hopefully making my living there a great experience for all! I came here independently so am excited to meet and get to know new people! I'm big on the gym and food so if you're looking for someone to eat with/train with, I might be the flatmate for you. Saying that, I fully understand that people have there own lives to lead so this can be as little or as much as you want (or not at all). If you like music and going out would also be a bonus as a I do like to experience Melbourne nightlife (or just the pub) on occasion but I am also respectful towards others peoples lives. Best, Harry
I'm an 18 year old female who will be starting my first year of Nursing at RMIT city campus. This is my first time moving out but don't be put off! The reason why I'm moving out of home is because my guardians are moving overseas. I currently have a job so I'm financially stable. I'm a very independent, mature and easy-going person. I'm respectful as well as clean and organised. I do have a boyfriend so I would need you to be okay with him coming over quite often! There's so much more about me but I'll leave it at that!
Hey guys, I'm a fairly easy-going 21 year old. I'm studying part time at the UoM where i should be finishing my bachelor's degree this semester - hopefully going into my masters after that. I bartend a few nights a week at The Retreat Hotel (corner of Sydney & Glenlyon Rd.) Looking for a place with a few like minded people who are always happy to socialize together but still know how to do their own thing. Keen to move ASAP so give us a yell
Hi there, Lauren and myself are looking for a friendly share-house. I study history at Melbourne University and will be working part-time, while Lauren has recently returned from 14 months overseas travel and will be working in a cafe. We would love a share-house with a friendly atmosphere where we can have the occasional shared dinner and wine/movie night however we are also both very busy and value our down-time. Hope to hear from you!
Hey there! I'm from Spain. I am a joyful, easygoing person, also very clean and tidy. I absolutely love dancing and sports, and I like having a healthy lifestyle. I really enjoy spending time with my mates, watching series, movies, reading, drinking some wine or beer... Sometimes I need to have time for myself, who doesn't? But overall I like hanging out with my mates, I consider myself a social person. I work in the biomedical research field and I'll be working weekdays. I'm moving in a few weeks to Melbourne and I'm looking for a warm place to live during these years. From the 14th of March on I'll be able to visit apartments and meet you.
Quality Housemate™ who likes art, 80s synth pop, cheap wine and cheese. 19, studying fine arts and working part-time. Make a mean pasta sauce. Looking to live with respectful people willing to talk politics and B-grade tv-shows over the occasional dinner. I play music regularly - though always at respectful volumes/times - and come bearing copious numbers of books, instruments, and So Fresh cds.
I am a patient, friendly guy who is a relatively new parent and loves sharing Mexican food and Acroyoga. Food because I am Mexican and acro, because I truly believe it brings the raw humanity in any person. I am a stable part time worker who spends much time out at work and with my child. I am very sociable and love to share and also have my own space.
Hey! I'm a 20 year old female looking for a place by the 20th of February. I am a bartender in Carlton so I will be gone most nights, and in the day I study a Diploma in Beauty Therapy. I am very easy going and love adventures :) Love to clean, I'll do it even when you don't want me to haha. If I'm not doing any of the above I'm kicking back watching a movie or having a drink or two :) Very excited to live with some new and cool people !
Hello everyone! I'm a 22 year student from India and I'm on a hunt for accommodation near Melbourne CBD or any nearby suburb from 26th February onward. Can cook Indian food, very passionate about sports and have a keen interest in travelling & trekking.
I'm outgoing and easy to get along with. Very well houstrained which means I'm very tidy and respectful. I love the occasional wine/beer after work but I can usually be found having a Netflix marathon and napping if I'm not working. I do like going on adventures and having fun road trips.
Hi, I'm Andy. I'm 31 and have recently returned to Melbourne to begin studying teaching at Melbourne Uni. In addition to studying, I also do some accounting and business consulting part-time; this is mostly done remotely so all I need is the internet. I set my own hours basically, so no problems covering rent and bills! I'm generally fairly social and enjoy going out with friends, however I'm looking for a home where I can focus on my study and work during the week. So not looking for a party house, although happy with a drink at the end of the day or a little get together or house dinner of a weekend! I'm pretty easy going, and am looking for open-minded and relaxed housemates. I'm happy to contribute to cleaning and cook communal means sometimes, but equally happy to do my own thing. Looking for a house that I can call home for the next couple of years!
Hi there, we are Emily and Susie, two British girls in our mid twenties looking for somewhere to live in lovely Melbourne. We both have backgrounds in art and design and consider ourselves friendly, polite, clean and social people. We would ideally be looking for a flatshare and individual rooms but are not opposed to sharing a room!
I'm an architect from colombia and I'm finishing my English studies. At this moment I am applying for my permanent residency. I'm 33 yo. Normally my week is quite busy. I start early in the morning and go home pretty late. I love a quiet place to live. I spend my free time listening to music and watching some movies.
Hey! I am 27 and from the UK. I am sociable and looking for housemates I can share a cider/wine/tea/food/BBQ with once in a while. I'm also into cook and baking and happy to share :P I'll be pretty busy exploring the city and countryside/beaches in my spare time too if anyone wants to join me on an adventure! I like visiting galleries, markets and bars and hiking and doing yoga. I also like to chill on my own with a book sometimes and understand when people need privacy/space. I like getting a good night's sleep during the week. I'm considerate and respectful and love meeting people from all corners of the world with all different backgrounds and interests. I've been flatsharing for years and always do my fair share of cleaning, including floors and toilets, and all that shiz and it just seems to happen smoothly and organically :) Looking for like-minded flatmates. Pretty easy-going and flexible and happy to fit in with current flat dynamics. Can be flexible about move in date :) Give us a shout if you think I could be your new roomie!
Hey guys, I'm Mitchell. I've lived in a rural town my whole life so I'm long overdue for a change of scenery. I won't be moving until mid to late June, but its better to be organised. I consider myself to be a pretty nice guy, I value my friends and I'm happy to go out of my way to help somebody out (if you're upset, I'll probably just quote Simpsons until you smile). When I move I will be studying Animation, so between that and working I won't be in the house all that often. When I am at home you will find me reading a book, gaming, cruising through netflix, or listening to podcasts. I consider myself to be a pop culture fiend, so if you like Game of Thrones, Rick and Morty, or anything inbetween throw me a bone. I like to keep quite active and I regularly go to the gym. I do play around with the guitar a little bit aswell, so if you are a muso and want to jam that would be lovely too. Ideally, I would love to live with 2 or 3 other people to expand my social circle (I'm leaving all my friends behind ):) If you think I'll fall in with your bunch, please consider me.
I am originally from Echuca (northern Vic) and have recently moved to Melbourne. I am working at Crown Casino and also a pub in Brunswick. I would be hoping to stay in the Brunswick area as I love the pub I work at, and would need to be near public transport as I don't have a car. At this stage I am just working, but may study mid year. A little about me; I have spent the last two years travelling Europe, India and Nepal. Having lived in hostels, I am very clean and respectful of others and their privacy. Although I would like to live with people that want to hang out and are happy to have 'family' dinner or movie nights every now and then. I love all sports, outdoor activities, music, reading, animals (especially dogs), socialising (with alcohol is always good) and many other things.
PLEASE NOTE: I am looking for TWO rooms - a bedroom and an additional sunroom/study/studio/shed from which I could teach singing students 3 days a week. Please do not contact me if your place doesn't have this possibility! and PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME IF YOUR PLACE IS OUTSIDE OF MY LISTED AREAS. I am not interested. Read below for more details... My name is Becca, I’m 27, I’m from Tassie originally but been in Melbourne since Feb last year :) I work a few different jobs: I’m an artist (mostly musician but do a bunch of other kinds of arts too). I’m a self-employed voice coach, teaching technique for singing and speech (but mostly singing) 3 days a week. I work 1 day a week at Mork Chocolate Brewhouse in North Melbourne (from which I bring home tasty treats sometimes!), 2 nights a week at Open Studio in Northcote, am also currently applying for more/new jobs. I also model for life drawing classes and sometimes do other random odd jobs here and there. I’m looking for a home, not just a house; I am a busy person who does my own thing a lot and has a lot of projects I’m working on, so I’m not wanting to live out of each other’s pockets, but I also want to have a place where we hang a bit in the communal areas in the evenings and chat about our days or talk shit, cook and eat together now and then, hang out in the sun on good days and have a beer. In my current house there isn’t much of a good shared lounge area and everyone just kind of lives in their rooms all the time and I am craving a little bit more of a casual family vibe. I don’t smoke, I’ve never been late on rent or bills, I like to be energy usage conscious though not anally-so, I like to try to be good to the environment. I’m great at cleaning and I’m house-proud; I am happiest when my place is looking clean and beautiful, I like indoor plants, sunshine, fresh air, and putting up art :) I’m often singing but I’m told I’m good at it, I like to put on loud music and dance around the house when I’m home alone or if someone wants to dance with, but am also very capable of quieting the fuck down when people need to sleep/concentrate. I’m silly, playful, and affectionate, but also a proper grown up. Ideally I’m looking for a place which has a sunroom/study/spare room/office where I would be able to set up my desk and teach my voice students from. I teach about 3 days a week, 5 hours maximum, finishing by 8pm at the latest (a lot of the time a lot less/earlier). Totally keen to make said teaching room also a shared art room and useable by anyone else at times when I’m not teaching! Or happy to pay a little extra rent for the use of the extra room. I've put $230 per week as max budget but I am really hoping to get less than that. I'm currently paying $200/week.
Things about me: --currently studying engineering technology at RMIT --from a small country town in western Victoria called Kaniva --involved in the scouting community --a recreational pilot --play Aussie rules football --I enjoy going out on the weekends, sometimes --able to cook a couple of different meals but I wouldn't say I'm any Gordon Ramsey --Im a pretty chill person --international traveler
Hello! We are a couple looking for flatmates while we are in Australia on Working Holiday Visas! Junghyun and I just got married in January in Hawaii. I'm an American (I didn't vote for Trump...) and I live in Hawaii. Junghyun is Korean and lives in Seoul. We are meeting in Sydney in May and would like to move into a place in Melbourne for June. This will be the first time that either of us has been to Australia and we are really looking forward to living and working and having a unique perspective on Australian life. I'm studying in Hawaii to become a teacher and Junghyun works in sales at Korea Telecom. Anyway, we are both laid back, happy people who love to meet new people and have a great time! We are responsible, clean, and courteous flatmates. We look forward to meeting you soon :) K+J
I am a left-leaning, musically-interested, social and occasionally studious mid-twenties female looking for a fun, but tidy share-house in central Melbourne. I like good chats, loud music and cold beers. I just moved from Brisbane to finish a Masters degree in Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing at the University of Melbourne. I've been studying on and off for the last five years, having already completed a BA in Creative and Professional Writing, an Honours thesis concentrated in Literary Studies, and started a Master of Arts at the University of Queensland. Although I am fairly studious and busy during the week, I like to socialise on the weekends by going to gigs, sampling delicious beers and op-shopping. I enjoy reading, writing (obviously), music and photography. I also collect vinyls and will be sending down a vinyl player/large vinyl collection once I've got a place. I have worked as an ESL teacher for the past two years and I'm currently looking for casual teaching work. Your real estate can contact my real estate for a reference. I'm happy to pay three months rent up front. I have also lived in China, where I worked as an English teacher with kids, and I have lived and studied in Japan as an undergraduate. I am thus very open-minded to different cultures and lifestyles. If you like the sounds of any of this feel free to send me a message. I'm looking for a large private room as I would like to set up a desk for studying. I also need lots of storage space for my ridiculously large wardrobe of vintage and Japanese fashion (which I am happy to share if you're my size!). I have two couches, a washing machine, a brand new fridge, a two-seater dining set, a six seater dining set, coffee table...pretty much everything! It's all in storage at the moment at my parents' house and I'm happy to leave it there or send it down. I am also looking at vacant two/three bedroom properties on the Northside and possibly applying for a property by myself. So if you're in the same boat as me and looking for shared accommodation in a nice house in a centrally located suburb, feel to send me a message. You must be open-minded, house-trained and LGTB /420 friendly, and ideally within the age bracket of 20-30.
