Hi, I’m Mathew, 35 and I study Aerospace Engineering at RMIT University. I’m very clean and tidy, respectful of privacy, trustworthy and do my share of the housework along with paying bills on time. I’m friendly, social and always up for a chat. My course is a handful, so I tend to be on the quiet side when at home. I’m looking for a place within 30mins of the city, with a large bedroom for all of my stuff. It must be near public transport. My interests tend towards the geeky side of things, I am very good with computers and can always lend a hand with anyone’s IT troubles. Non smoker, no drugs, don’t drink. Looking to move around Easter time, preferably earlier. Bond and first months rent ready to go!
Hi my name is Suzie and I am looking for somewhere great to live on the North side of Melbourne. I have been living solo in Port Douglas for the past 4 months but before this I lived in a share house with a couple for 2 years in Brunswick! I am a chocolate and coffee lover however I also love to exercise and find myself either at the gym or going for a run around 5 times a week. Ideally I would like my own bathroom and off street parking. I have only ever worked in hospitality and I have a full time position secured at a hotel in the city. From the end of July I will be going back to William Angliss Institute where I'm studying a bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism management and working part time in the hotel. I am naturally outgoing and social however I do appreciate my quiet time, I believe it is important have a friendly relationship with my housemates and it shouldn't be strange to have a drink together. I appreciate having a neat and tidy house and am respectful of other people's belongings and their space. Happy to have a chat or meet up with people upon my return to Melbourne !
Currently living in Melbourne, recently moved from interstate. I'm getting my masters in art curatorship at Melbourne University, so I'm a full time student, and I'll also be working at the Melbourne comedy festival this year. I'm really social, but also super into having my own space and respecting yours etc.
Outgoing, 23 years old, moving Down from Sydney for work. I'm a builder with a large construction company. Keen on somewhere with good vibes.
I'm looking for a room or to start up a share house with people. I'm Steve and I work in FMCG brand management. I recently moved to Melbourne to take the role. I'm easy going and generally like to have a chat and a drink/meal with flatmates, but I also know when people need their own space. I keep fairly active and ride to work most days. I'm an amateur photographer, a bit of a foodie and generally enjoy doing anything in a social environment. I'm a tidy flatmate and definitely do my fair share of the housework. I'm looking for flatmates with a similar mind set. Easy going, like to socialise and are working professionals. The room needs to be unfurnished (I have all my own stuff). Ideally I'd like to stay around the $250/week mark, but can go up to $300 for the right place. I'm also happy to consider a longer than 6 months. Hit me up if you want to know more or are interested in starting a share house/have a room.
I consider myself a really easy going and friendly person, who loves to spend time with friends, go to markets, see plays, art, movies and go exploring in the area for delicious food. I'm also a big fan of yoga, bike riding and dancing around the house. I work 30-35 hours a week at a gelato store called Messina, so if you love gelato, i'm always in great supply! I'm also vegetarian but am not bothered if others cook meat in the house. Ideally, i'm after a place with lovely people who I can have a great chat to and good laugh with. I love my own space but i'm always open to have a chat, hang out and come together to make dinner together. I'm clean and tidy but am generally just happy to go with the flow of the house. :~)
Hi, My name ist Matthias and I am a 24-year old student from Germany. I'm searching for a room to stay in from 7 April until the end of August this year. I will be doing research on my master's thesis in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Melbourne. My hobbies include running, skiing, volleyball and I also would like to learn some new sports as well as see as much of Australia as possible! I would describe myself as open, friendly and uncomplicated. I don't have any pets or dietary restrictions. I would prefer a single room to myself because I will be working full time on my research. However, I am looking forward to communicating and engaging in activities with my potential flatmates! If you want to rent your room starting at the 1 April, I would be okay with it! I'm looking forward to hearing from You! Cheers, Matthias

Hi there Here I am, a young professional (working in a law firm) who is moving from Sydney beach life (yeah, weather was not great recently) to an art and food capital of down under. I am looking for a room minimum for 6 weeks maximum.. depends. It's hard to understand what the place looks like and the vibe of it through the pictures and I don't want to promise a long stay and then to leave. I am a very social person, loving meeting new people, share the stories and laugh but I understand when is the right time not to disturb and sometimes require time for myself. Ideally I would love to stay in a tidy lovely house/apartment close to the station/tram stop with a lovely atmosphere and great people.

** flexible move date ** Hey guys! We are a couple named Brooke and Sam, both 25, and looking to find a new space to call home in our beloved home city after traveling the world. A little about ourselves... Since finishing her University studies Brooke has switched between full time work and traveling the world, and now is settled back in Melbourne with a full time job in the travel industry. Also a Yoga teacher, super cleaner and lover of all things natural. Sam is also a traveler and expert Barista making coffees in Brunswick for over 8 years so expect the best morning coffee (don't worry, no Melbourne coffee snob here) and an AMAZING cook! We have been together for many years and honestly such a chill couple that don't need to do everything together always.. we are both very independent people! (I know most say that, but really!!) We are both vegetarians so would prefer a Vegetarian house hold to make life easier for all, both love traveling the world with complete cultural immersion..food and language, so very open minded people. We both work, love our personal space but enjoy socializing over a few beers as well. Super clean, tidy and respectful to all spaces and will bring yummy cooking, diverse conversations, good laughs and beautiful plants to our new home! We look forward to hearing from you! :) Note: Sam is an occasional smoker but only smokes outside just to make that profile section clear
Hi, I'm Vivien! I'm from Melbourne & I'm currently a student at Melbourne Uni. I want to find somewhere closer to uni because I am sick of the ridiculously long commute from where I currently live. I'm neat and tidy, and pretty easy to get along with. I love movies (all of them), music, history, and reading. I'm quiet but always more than happy to socialise either at home watching TV or on a night out! Please let me know if you have any questions!!
I'm tidy, I'm quiet, I clean up after myself and you also get the pleasure of having my beautiful kitty cat Rocky stay with us! Rocky is a sweet kitty and he is litter trained so there will be no "accidents" in the house. I am a hairdresser so you can get the pleasure of a hairstylist in the house if you're in desperate need of a haircut or colour. (I don't do it for free but you get pretty cheap rates!)
PhD Student at Melbourne University moving across from Adelaide. Clean and relatively quiet but does like to socialise.
Hey there! My name's Maria, I come from Spain and I'm 28. I'm starting a PhD at the Doherty Institute here in Melbourne and I'm looking for a warm place to live. I'll be working full-time during weekdays and I'll probably have to work at home, but I enjoy chatting while drinking some wine or beer in my free time, watching netflix, reading... I enjoy some time alone as well, but I'm overall a social, joyful and positive person who likes spending time with her mates. I'm a quite active person, I love doing sport and attending to dance classes and I like having a healthy lifestyle. I'm also very tidy and respectful. Just message me if I sound like someone you'd like as a mate and hopefully friend and confident!:)
I'm from Sao Paulo, Brazil and I'm living in Melbourne since November/16. I'm studying English and working part-time. I'll extend my VISA but I'm still searching about the course :) I'm a simple girl who enjoy to hang out with friends, have a drink, walk in park, I love to appreciate art/murals. I can't live without listening music, I love it! Also I love pets, good food and stay all day on the beach until the sunset. Most of the time I'm working in the morning/afternoon and studying in the evening. I like to talk, to visit new places and to spent my time with good people :)
I’m Australian, and currently doing my PhD at Melbourne University. I have two scholarships that provide me with a comfortable wage to study so can be considered as working full time. I also work one day per week with Melbourne Water doing some consulting work. I’m pretty laid back, but enjoy an active lifestyle. Enjoy catching up with friends, hiking/camping, beach trips, snow trips and travelling. I also make my own beer from scratch. So if there are any beer lovers in the house, I may be a popular addition! Looking for a private room in a share house with some fun and interesting peeps. Current lease is ending first week of May so ideally would like somewhere to move to from mid-end of April so I don’t end up homeless! Have been living in share houses for some time so am definitely house trained, courteous of others space and am quite clean and tidy, and enjoy cooking most meals. Look forward to meeting you!
Hi There! My name is Tessa, I'm a 22 year old Sydney girl looking to move to Melbourne! I just finished my business degree and am currently on the search for a job in the marketing/event management industry in Melbourne (will keep you posted!). Socialising and keeping myself company are things that I enjoy in equal measure. I'm not one to laze around much and prefer to get out and do things. I am a keen cook, it would bring me great pleasure to cook yummy veggie feasts for my future flatmates every now and then! I try to keep a healthy lifestyle through running and eating well but I am also happy to relax and have some fun every once in a while ;). I am looking for a share house where we can live communally but also respect each others personal space. As I am new to Melbourne, it would be great to move in with people who would want to occasionally go out on weekends, and be happy to have a chat in the evenings. If I sound right for your share house, I would love to say hello!
Introvert. friendly. tidy. reliable. honest and open minded. I keep to myself, but enjoy a tea or beer every now and then. Quite flexible, no explicit needs. I enjoy intelligent discussion, creating and appreciating different kinds of music, reading, anime, chess, playing cards, cigarettes, dumplings, martial arts and the list goes on. Studying, working part time. Thankyou for your time, Olly
Bubbly, friendly, and easy going. I work full time and in my spare time I enjoy watching movies/tv shows, exploring the city, and online gaming, so I won't try get in your way too often unless you insist. :) I love photography, cooking, video games, traveling, movie nights, fashion, and dining out. NOTE: I am currently perusing and looking at a possible move in date sometime early April, so please do not contact me regarding properties available right now! MUST HAVES: - Private room - decently sized - Fast unlimited internet, so NBN/fiber optics/cable (no ADSL please) - Walking distance to trains/trams as I work near Southbank PREFERABLE: - Wardrobe space - Ensuite or own bathroom if possible (but not absolutely essential) - Walking distance to local shops/cafes/etc - If possible, access to off-street parking as I may acquire a car
Hey! I'm looking for a place long term and can move in now/whenever! More about me: I'm a second year arts student at Melbourne Uni studying history and media. I'm busy throughout the week so I'll be in and out of the house quite often. I'm sociable but chill and love a good chat about anything really. Things I like: I'm a major film buff and like music and art. I like cooking (or trying to anyway) and a beer here and there. Gigs and pubs are my go to whenever I'm free (or even when I'm not).
Hey people - I'm looking for a place to live at that I can feel comfortable and happy in and possibly start a new social network with as well! This means I'm open to teaming up and finding a lease :) I'm a very good communicator and a sensible and responsible person. Also an experienced professional with job security and home share experience. Enjoy participating and watching sport, like to exercise at the gym regularly while eating healthy food and am hopeful of staying close to the area I've spent most of my life in. Because of my work, have some flexibility :) Can cook, like running a veggie garden, open to pets. Very respectful of others space/privacy but would ideally share a place with people that are also on the extroverted spectrum - I like company :)
Hi I'm Matilda :) I'm currently a first year nursing student at the Australian Catholic University. I'm super friendly, clean and tidy. I'm looking for a place closer to uni because travelling an hour and a half (one way) to uni everyday just isn't viable. I'm super easy going and like to keep to myself at times but I also enjoy socializing... I love to read and stay active (think running, yoga, Pilates)
Hi! I'm Laura (preferred name Lou) I am a young, mature minded individuals with a passion for creative pursuits. I am a private person, but very social & open to people & conversations. I am Australian (mixed race ethnicity, Australian upbringing & citizenship). I have 3+ years share house/rent & bill paying experience & have lived as an independent for 4 years. I have lived abroad in both Indonesia and Singapore (collectively for 3 years) independently. Despite having spent time living alone, I have also lived in share homes and thoroughly enjoy the share house culture. I have a rounded understanding of what it takes to be a good housemate & how to live in a shared environment in a friendly and sociable way. I am the "owner" of a disabled, female cat named Cleo (desexed, and able bodied). Her disability is an amputated front limb which has not affected her quality of life. She is house trained, but much happier outside. She is quiet and has also lived in several share houses with me. She is kind and well mannered, although fiercely independent and sassy in nature. I am currently working part-time in retail and doing all I can to make dancing a profession (it is a passion, I am realistic about opportunities for dancers) - with that being said, I have been contracted as a dancer several times (currently in Adelaide wrapping up a contract). I have a few offers for contract dance work in Melbourne, but will also be looking for part-time employment and study options. I will be in Melbourne area available for inspections/interviews for rooms as of the 12th of April. NOTE: I am queer (bi & non-binary), however very feminine (she/her is fine) & sex-positive (open and non-judgemental with sexuality, still private though), very laid back and easy going, however I would prefer to live somewhere that is non-judgemental and welcome to everyone. Thank you for reading - I hope to hear from you soon! Warm regards, Lou
After travelling Europe for a couple of months, I'm now in need of a new home. I have no idea what I'm doing with my life, so I'm happy with both temporary and longer-term homes. I'm sure I'll be in Melbourne for at least the next 6 months, probably longer, so I'm happy to sign a lease and such. I've been living in share houses for many years, so I'm well house trained, clean, respectful, chill and all that jazz! I'm available to move in anytime. A bit about me: I'm 24; I have a love of animals; my favourite meals are brunch, pre-dinner snack and dessert; I enjoy nature and sitting in parks; I've been working full time at a ski store for what feels like forever (but I enjoy it); I try to always look at the positive and/or funny side of life; my hair colour/style changes frequently (currently pink); I just started attending aerial circus classes for fun/fitness and love it; I enjoy going to musicals; I rely on public transport to get around; and I'm currently coming out of a 6 year obsession with Hi-5 (the kids band) that basically consumed my life. I will also provide daily smiles.
Hi there, I'm Maddi. I have been living in the same share house for the past four years which is coming to an end in April, due to my housemates moving interstate. Its sad, but I wish my counterparts all the best for their futures endeavours I try not to take life to seriously. I am looking for a place that I can call my home, a safe place to listen, laugh, share stories and the occasional meal. A place where we all respect our home, each other's space and individuality. I pay my bill and rent on time. I am house trained (Yay) Don't hesitate to drop a line or two if you are passing by. I would love to say Hello! Please consider me as your newest friendly family member.
Hi :) My name is Aimee and I am 23 years old and I am a very down to earth kind respectful person! I am vegan so I love my animals but living with a non vegan won't be an issue! I've been house sharing for 3 years now so I am experienced and know the basics and such I am available to move in as soon as possible!
Hi there, this is Sayin. I am a 26 year old Taiwanese girl. I am a writer and a barista, I try to get as much experience of living abroad as I can. I lived in Tokyo Japan in last 19 months and Melbourne is my next stop. I will find a job in Melbourne and keep writing that I belive the city can bring me a lot of inspiration. I will stay in Melbourne at least 6 months and I don't want to move too much so I want to find a place that I can stay at least 3 months or even more. Thank you for your time. If I could get some information from you I would really appreciate it, thank you. Have a nice day. Sayin
Recently moved from New Zealand, working as a Graphic/Web Designer from a home office in Brunswick East. Im a bit of a music enthusiast, I write songs and play various instruments in my spare time, I have a bit of equipment so I'm after a room that's medium to large in size. That being said though I've lived in numerous flats over the years and I'm pretty respectful with noise when it comes to living with others. I like to keep things tidy but im not OCD, I'm pretty easy to get along with, reliable with bill payments, and respectful of others spaces.
I am clean, tidy, respectful, and always wash my dishes right away! I love dancing, recently started Muay Thai, love Netflix (with a vast knowledge of tv series) and am a keen cook/baker. Love a good chat but also love to have some time to myself.
Hello! Currently working as a research scientist in Parkville. Our house is being demolished and turned into apartments :( I'm looking for a room from Late April until my contract expires at the end of the year. I'm sociable, with a 4 screen netflix account, a subscription to Time Magazine and New Scientist. Look forward to hearing from you, Alexis.
Hello there :) I am a 30 years old, PhD student at The University of Melbourne and I am based at The Royal Children Hospital to do my studies. I was born in Italy and lived there until 4 years ago. Then Melbourne captured me with its sunsets, stunning views and multicultural&funky vibe. I am looking for share housemates who are open, respectful, friendly and don't need all the time to do things together to feel they have a good vibe in the house. I can offer the same in exchange. I want a cosy place that will feel like home _a place where I can relax and get rid of the PhD&life stresses. Don't mind if you do parties or have friends over and I hope I may be able to invite few friends over, too (I like to host small pizza party - i have an electric oven which simulates a woodfired oven ;) ). However, I am not up for a constant party house. I like people and i usually get along with others easily if things are communicate openly. I want to leave in a decent and clean space. I am happy to participate in a cleaning roster (actually i would prefer that so no need to argue about who did the bathroom last time ;) ). Things that makes me happy... hang out in parks, having long skype calls with my family&friends, doing yoga, exercising, going to markets or second hand shops, going to the Abbotsford Convent, cooking and baking, talking about science and philosophy (don't worry not too heavy stuff!), art galleries wondering. I am Pescis if this matters ;)
Hey! I am a Nurse moving to Melbourne late April. -Clean -Easy going -Respects privacy -Social - Shift worker - so you won't be seeing me a lot I’m looking for a place to call 'home' preferably with females and that is happy to have our own space but also keen to hang out - I love making friends! love going to the gym, weekend adventures, and going out to try new cafes/restaurants and hiking are some of my loves!
I'm a 24 year old American from DC doing a working holiday in Melbourne before I (unfortunately) return to the states to start grad school this fall. I'm a laid-back and respectful housemate who loves sports and indie music and a good night out on the town. Looking for something in the 1-2 month range to help cap off my time in Melbourne!
I have been told im a Great Cook and im clean and tidy and respectful. Also a social person love going out for dinners and coffees and catching up with friends. Not a party animal though.
Things about me: --currently studying engineering technology at RMIT --from a small country town in western Victoria called Kaniva --involved in the scouting community --a recreational pilot --play Aussie rules football --I enjoy going out on the weekends, sometimes --able to cook a couple of different meals but I wouldn't say I'm any Gordon Ramsey --Im a pretty chill person --international traveler
Professional female working in communications and marketing, looking to share a nice place with other females or a mixture of genders. I have a great sense of humour (quirky), fairly neat and tidy sort of person, good with money and enjoy films, books, and art and culture around Melbourne. Can also cook! Would like to share with a similar sort of people, and not really into the party scene any more but wouldn't pass on a good night of wine etc. every now and again, and am dog friendly too (allergic to cats unfortunately). Like my own space, including cooking etc., but also would like to share with someone friendly to catch up on the week/day :-) I have a queen sized bed and matching sides and tallboy so would need a larger room rather than a smaller. Possibly 4m x 3.5m ish. Would also need broadband internet. About $215- $250 is my ideal rent, (excluding bills).
Hey hey! I am friendly and pretty cruisy to live with - down for conversation, wine/beer, netflix, random adventures, but also respectful of privacy and space. I am a social worker by trade and sometimes need to chill out solo after work. I clean up after myself and actually relish the opportunity to organise things - cupboards, files, shoes. It's a thing. I enjoy fitness - hiking, climbing, yoga, calisthenics and the like however my true loves are reading and riding my motorbike. I'm vegan, but not preachy, I do however eat pretty healthily. Social justice and environmental sustainability are important to me so it would be sweet to live somewhere where this is respected. I also always make too much food so sharing is a thing (food waste...). I adore pets! Originally from the Gold Coast, QLD and very new to Melbourne so will be exploring. My current contract finishes end of June however there's the chance it will be extended/I will move into another role so it would be nice if I could stay on at a residence after this time however I wanted to be transparent :)
Originally from Venezuela, I moved to Melbourne 5 years ago. Melbourne has become my new home. I am 36 years old, electrical engineer. I work in the CBD at the moment. I like to ride my bicycle to commute to work. I like outdoor activities, at the moment golf is my favourite one, but I am always open to try new ones. I am not a netflix addict, but I do like movies, and documentaries. I like to read literature, Roberto Bolano by far is my favourite author. I am a big fan of architecture, and I am trying to get into sustainable design, from the electrical point of view. I am an easy going person, respectful, transparent, tidy, who is looking a new home.
Hi, I'm Nate, quiet and tidy, can cook and bake, like to play board games and the keyboard (but don't worry, I can plug in headphones and only I have to listen to myself play)
My name’s Sarah and I’m a teacher from the UK. I have 3 main loves in my life – music, animals and TRAVVEEEEEL! In my “alone time” I listen to music, play guitar (NOT loud haha), exercise and read a book now and then. I like to try new activities/going on small trips together with friends and going to ‘meet up’ events in the city to meet new people. I’m not a massive drinker but can boogee and partay all the same. Up next is Sergio… He’s from Colombia and loves to cook for other people. BONUS! He is also a huge music lover and loves singing loudly in the shower (you WILL need earplugs!! Only joking) He’s great to be around – positive and hilarious – and I think you’ll love him too :) Also a big animal lover and very talkative. We're sociable, friendly, tidy, fun and reliable but also like alone time. We're looking for a place to rent together (but with our own bedroom each). Happy to team up with others for a house share and to meet / make new friends.
Hi there. My name's Becky. I've just moved here from the UK. At the moment, I work freelance, editing academic books. I love food, and cooking makes me happy. I trained as a chef and I used to have a cafe where I made all the cakes - in case it sways you, my best friend is convinced that I make the world's best Victoria sponge :) I like reading, writing, wine and going to galleries and gigs. I've always lived in house shares and I'm still friends with everyone I've ever lived with, so I think it's safe to say I'm a pretty chill housemate. I'm tidy, respectful and a good listener. No preference re. age/gender/anything else. Just looking forward to meeting some kind souls. If there's anything else you'd like to know, please ask.
Hi, My name is Michael and I'm 27 years old engineer. I work full time (Tuesday to Saturday) usually from 7 am to 4 pm. Few words about me: calm, friendly, respectful, polite, easygoing, tidy, keen to meet new people and love travelling. I also like motorcycles, listening live music and trying new things. I'm looking for someone friendly, easygoing and tidy. Someone who respects others but doesn't mind to spend some time together at home or outdoors.
I'm Nicole, a 26 year old Melbournian who has been living and working in Tokyo, Japan, for the past 15 months. I'm looking for a minimum of 6 months rent, near the CBD for work. As a housemate I am extremely neat, tidy, respectful, I appreciate good conversation with a glass of wine, but I also value personal privacy. I am looking to move in on the 20th April. Hopefully I'm the housemate you're looking for!
My name is Priscila, I'm 24 years old. I'm a student and work part time as a barista, which means I'm not home a lot during the weekends. I'm a pretty social person, I really enjoy yoga, photography, long bush walks, healthy eating and the occasional drinks with friends. I'm currently looking for a place to call home and it would be great to find some lovely people who share the same interests to do that with me.
Hello, i'm a uni student who also works part-time. I'm kind, reliable, respectful to people's privacy and a bit of a clean freak. I mostly keep to myself, but wouldn't mind making some friends either! I love watching movies and tv shows so unlimited wifi is a must ;D
