I'm on the hunt for a fabulous new place to live and am hoping my future housemates might find me on here! I'm 31yo, a doctor, and love dogs, baking (happy to take requests!), hiking, travelling, running, brunching, finding bargains, camping and generally adventuring. I'm looking for a smoke-free, light-filled place for at least 12 months. I'd prefer a bright room that is quiet & of a reasonable size, and own bathroom and car spot preferred but not essential. I'm looking to move in anytime from Dec 12 to Jan 8. My ideal housemates would value a clean and tidy shared living space and like to get together for the occasional dinner, movie or wine & cheese night but also have lives of their own. I'd like to live with at least 2 other people though am not looking for a party house! Ideally I am looking for a pet friendly place with a courtyard or secure outdoor area as I have a gorgeous 8yo small Maltese x shihtzu dog called Harry. He's house trained, doesn't shed any hair, and just loves being around people. If your place fits the bill but isn't pet friendly I'd still love to hear from you as worst case scenario he can live with his 'grandparents'! Can't wait to hear from you! Happy to answer any questions you might have or to get together for a coffee before I head to India on Nov 3 :)
Hi! My name is Lauri and I'm a 28 year old guy from Helsinki, Finland. I'm a multimedia designer by trade and usually work in the creative fields. I'm in Australia on a working holiday visa and planning to spend the following months in the awesome city of Melbourne. Currently my long term plans are pretty open so therefore I'm looking for a short term lease on a private room in a nice shared house/apartment with nice roommates. Ideally I would like to rent a room for the next 3 months or so, but I'm also open for shorter and maybe longer deals. I'm a responsible, clean, open-minded and an easy-going person. I'm into music and all kinds of arts in general. I like to spend my free time going to gigs and exhibitions and also hanging out with friends and watching movies etc. I'm used to sharing apartments with other people and can appreciate a nice community as well as privacy. Contact me if you have a spare room that I might be interested!
I'm a full-time student of Unimelb and a single mother with a kid, going to ballet classes after school. Busy during the week and love outdoors on the weekend. Also I teach Russian. I'm looking for a female flatmate with a kid too or just loving children. Usually my daughter is cheerful and not noisy at all. We're excited about moving to a new place (and the country) to explore it.
We are Nat & Quinn, a 27 yr old female (gay) and a 6 month old kelpie. I run my own business as a graphic designer and work in the city, and Quinn goes to puppy day care 5 days a week and is exhausted after a run at night, so is a very quiet little miss of an evening. We go on adventures all weekend, and tend to cuddle up to a book or a movie after work. Quinn is well manured, minus a bit of jumping up to say hello, but that's getting better with constant training. I have my certificate in dog obedience so i am always training her new manners. I spend my weekends and spare time training Quinn, walking and running, coffee drinking, and brunching. I spend my time at home reading, designing (drawing) and just hanging out. I'm super chill, and would love to live with similar people ✌🏼️ if you'd like to know anything further, please don't hesitate to contact me. thank you Nat
I am a clean, respectful, and social woman of 22 from Montreal. I am on a working visa in Australia for one year and am planning on staying in Melbourne the entire year. I love my own space, but I do love to hang out as well. I am looking for a quiet environment that does not host big parties every week. I have lived with other flatmates before and have always gotten along very well. I have become friends with most of them. The only thing that annoys me is a dirty kitchen because I love to cook, so this is pretty much my only requirement that will make me happy!
Hello potential future flatmates! My name is Miranda and I am 21 years old. I am studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne and will be completing my degree in June, 2017. After having spent three years in student accommodation, it is well and truly time for me to move out and have the sharehouse experience. I am originally from Tasmania and moved to Melbourne for university and also to embark upon a new adventure. I work part time in a cafe on Sydney Road and I really enjoy my job (for the most part!). I love bad jokes, dogs, travelling (I am off to New Caledonia at the end of November - rejoice!), reading, coffee, food, the odd social drink and meeting new people. My ideal living arrangement would consist of: - Somewhere in the inner-north suburbs (close-ish to uni and work) - Somewhere with public transport nearby (I don't own a car) - A house of 3 - 5 people - Housemates around my age (early - mid twenties) - Other students would be pretty cool, but totally fine if not! - Housemates who are pretty chill with the occasional visit from my parents when they are up from Tassie. - Housemates who are willing to not just be housemates, but friends. I am uncertain about a move-in date as of yet, but I am will be homeless from the 10th of November. I am looking for both summer accommodation or 2017 accommodation. I might be a touch early to the party by putting this up now, but I would rather be safe than sorry. If any of what I have said sounds good to you, feel free to get in touch. I would love to meet you for coffee and get to know you. Have a nice day! :)
Hi ! My name is Laura and I have been in Australia since January 2016 but have just returned from a 3 month S.E Asia trip! I am looking forward to spending the next 3 months here in wonderful Melbourne. I am a nurse and will be working with my agency in the local hospitals. Although I work hard, in my free time I love to go out explore the city, eat all the food, drink all the coffee, and indulge in the Brunswick rd bar scene. Look forward to meeting you and making the most of my last 3 months in Aus!!
Hi I have just moved over to Melboutne and looking for a place to call home. Ideally looking for a female sharehouse and also willing to pay for more for an ensuite bathroom. I have savings and prompt with rent. A furnished room would be great if possible as I only have a couple of suitcases. I'm easy going, respectful and tidy. I look forward to meeting you!
I am currently working full time in the CBD. I work Mon-Fri and generally go to the gym most nights so am home fairly late during the week. I enjoy going to the gym, socialising with friends and family and watching a good movie. I am an AFL fan and enjoy watching most sports I am also partial to a wine or two to relax (NZ Sav Blanc preferred ;-) I would prefer to share with someone who can have a good laugh, is positive, respectful and clean.
I'm a clean, friendly, open, fun-loving guy from Manchester, England. Here on my working holiday visa and looking forward to spending the summer in Melbourne. Currently staying in a hostel in St Kilda but looking to move into a flat closer to the CBD. Got myself a job in Emporium shopping centre, so need to be within walking distance of there (under 45 mins), and close to transport links. Would love my own room but other than that, not fussy at all! Vegetarian, but more than happy to live with meat-eaters. Non-smoker. Very tidy & contentious.
I'm a 22 year old girl from the South of France. I just came back from an exchange in Denmark, where I studied at Roskilde University for two semesters. I study English and American litterature, culture and language, but I am currently taking some time off from my studies in order to travel as much as possible :) I'm here in Australia with a Working Holiday Visa I love travelling and I really enjoy taking photos, I love food, beer and to chat with new people! But as much as I enjoy other people's company, I sometimes like to have some moments to myself

I'm an easy-going, Finland-born guy who has adopted Melbourne as a home and is used to sharehouse living. I'm tidy, courteous towards other people and respect other people's space and privacy. I work in a small architecture firm and in my spare time pretend to dabble in woodwork or pot plants if there's room for it. I enjoy getting a drink or a coffee with my housemates, and try to do some sort of regular exercise.
Me As A Housemate Spiel: I have lived in share houses for the last 7 years, and can safely say I'm house trained. I'm a fairly easy going person, yet I appreciate keeping common areas tidy (admittedly my room can at times look a bit like a 'creative lair'), I view home as a sanctuary and a place for down time, yet am usually up for a chat if you are that way inclined. I'm also great at making tea, playing cards against humanity, and giving compliments ;) Me As A Human Spiel: Hey I'm Indi :) , I'm moving to Melbourne to study (singing/songwriting), I dabble a little in keyboard and guitar. I love life and people, I'm 26, I've been a youth worker for the last 4 years and will be looking to continue that on the side of study whilst I'm down there. If you think I might be a good fit, please contact me!
Hi My name is Rebecca and I am looking for a home to move to ASAP. Ideally I would like a large room with BIR/wardrobes that can fit more than my queen bed :D. I was living with my best friend who moved overseas and have my own furniture so an unfurnished room would be ideal. I don't smoke and only drink occasionally at social events. I’m quiet but up for a chat or occassional movie. I'm clean and have lived in share houses both in Oz and overseas so am aware of the living standards in sharing/respecting spaces. I enjoy cooking and exploring events around Melbourne (Theatre buff :D). I'm looking for somewhere to call home and housemates to hopefully call friends :D Thanks heaps Rebecca (Reb)
I am an easy-going and friendly Primary School Teacher that loves her sport! I have lived in a shared apartment for 4 years so I understand the need to be courteous to your housemates. I mostly work during the day and am at soccer training/ games in the evenings and weekends as I've just been signed for Melbourne Victory's Women's Team. Looking to move into something a little closer to work, with more space than my current tiny apartment and a backyard to use in the warmer weather. I generally keep to myself but also enjoy socialising with the people I live with and having the occasional beer or dinner. Would love to find a place with like-minded people :)
28 year old couple from Leeds, England, I am a PA working in the CBD, Carl is a DJ/producer/audio guy working for an events company building events and festivals. Currently in South Yarra in temporary accommodation. Were both really chilled and easy going, looking for a clean/tidy place with a nice kitchen so we can cook up some nice dinners.
Hi, I'm a 25 year old guy looking for somewhere to live in the north-western suburbs of Melbourne from the 23rd of October onwards (flexible with dates). I'll be working full-time, and ideally would like a room that isn't tiny, with a maximum rent of $230 per week. I'm friendly, easy-going, organised (rent always paid on time), a non-smoker, clean and quiet. I have extensive experience in sharehouses and would prefer housemates around my own age. Message or text me if you can help me out or have any questions and I'll reply promptly. Thanks!
Starting Work Placement for Uni in the city and looking for a place to stay closer to where I am now. I'm a very chill and positive minded person who is into health and fitness and is super organised!
Oh hey there! We're a chill couple from Amsterdam and NZ, early 20's, and looking for a new place to live in Melbourne. We're social beings but also like to have our own space. Always up for a bevvy or a vino, but also like to just Netflix and chill. Both working in Melbourne to keep us busy and to support our travels! Give us a buzz if you have a room for us! Timo & Sarah
Hey all, I'm Elise, an 18 year old who moved to Melbourne just this year. I'm currently working in hospitality and looking for a home with a bunch of cool people who are willing to show me around, share a meal and an occasional drink
I'm an easy going, 30 year old, single British Male. I am clean, tidy and respectful of others and have a full time job in education and hold PR status. Socially I like to be around people and enjoy cooking and trying out local bars and restaurants. I will spend half the week living at my place of work and sometimes work from home during the day. Please only contact me through the website.
I'm a full-time student and part-time worker. Looking to join an easy going house with a nice balance of social people who also like their own space. I have a busy schedule but am always down for a glass of wine or movie night. I'm very clean, love cooking and as chill as they come. Message me :-)
Looking to create a new share or join an existing share with other positive, balanced, responsible flatmates who can cook a little, garden a little, are clean and dont take themselves too seriously. Cashed up as I work five days a week and also have a scholarship which funds my postgrad studies. Enjoy living in a decent home environment where everyone has their own lives and interests, and sharing an occasional meal together. This time around I'd like to live with people who are interested in creating a home environment and who also have a community outside of the home. I want to live somewhere with people who have their act together and expect a pleasant home environment together with mutual respect. After a larger unfurnished bedroom for QS Bed, plus a desk OR to bring furnishings into the living spaces if creating a NEW SHARE. Fridge washer microwave etc- most of the basics. Alternatively could look at storage if joining an existing share. Cat owner so after a place with an enclosed yard, not in a busy street and would prefer some room to grow us all veggies or at least a few potted herbs. Both myself and The Furry One would need a long term standard lease agreement. Bond and references available. Fitzroy North, Clifton Hill, Carlton North, Northcote, Ivanhoe East, Elwood, Elsternwick, Bentleigh, Brighton, Hampton preferably, but within about 20mins of the CBD.
Hey! I'm Jess 🙋🏼 I'm a hairdresser. I work 4 days a week and am doing a little bit of study in ceramics on the side. I love all things crafty! And have mad cooking skillz.. I'm pretty easy going. Been living in Melbourne for 6 years, much experience in shared houses! I'm looking for a place where I can chill out with housemates, have somewhat regular dinners and interesting conversations with. I am pretty social at times, so I'd like to live in a place that's ok to have friends over but also respect personal time. I have a car, so parking if some sort is a must! Message me if you e got a place available before oct 7th!
Heya. I've just moved to Melbourne by way of Brisbane and before that, Canberra, for work with the APS. I'm clean, tidy and bill-punctual, chill, tall and nerdish; a longtalker, deadpan and absurdist banterer, dank meme connoisseur, humanities graduate, reliably good for drinks, games, generating food, dumb jokes, and making hay out of city loife. Pets are a life goal; big, sympatico, gender balanced share-households (4+) are a longstanding preference. I’m looking for the premium Melbourne sharehouse experience with some harmonious characters, somewhere colourful, inner-northish, with a bit of a garden and within reasonable riding distance of the CBD. I'm currently staying in Northcote with fam so I can move whenever, or even get on board with a team-up with other cool interlopers. If you've got a space to match and think that we might gel, don’t hesitate, shoot me a DM and let me know. No roomshares pls. Thank
I am a 24 year old female, who loves going out for coffee and trying new food! I am bubbly, friendly, and relaxed! I am clean and respectful and would love to move in with some cool humans so that the house has a great vibe!
I'm Zach, an easy-going 26 year old single male. I work full-time as a digital consultant in the CBD. When I'm not at work I tend to kick back at home with some music, television or video games. I enjoy socialising on weekends, but tend to keep things relatively low-key throughout the week.
Hi Guys, my name is Josi, I'm 24 years old and Im originally from germany. I work since 2 years self employed as a Fashion and Beauty Photographer in London. Im moving to Melbourne on the 3rd of December and im looking for a lovely share house. Im tidy, organised and a very friendly and easy going person.
Hey guys, I'm an easy-going, clean gal who respects space. I can cook mean brunch dishes and am a all-rounder food-lover. Friendly, always up for a good time but occasionally I like time to myself. I'm happy to bring my own furnishings if needed. Warning: I have a penchant for sarcasm and an extreme love for coffee.
Currently working full-time, back to uni (Swinburne) next year. Checking out my options in the meantime.
Hi I am recent graduate from UQ in Brisbane. I am planning to move to brisbane in the hope of finding a full time job. I am a very easy going person. I like to socialise and go out for drinks on the weekends. I am very neat and clean Individual. Hoping to find a place that I can call a house. cheers
New to Melbourne, currently working in the CBD as a chef. Originally from the UK but now working towards a sponsorship visa. Preferably a room within a share house looking to make new friends and somewhere to call home. I work long hours most of the time but when i'm around i am a social person. I have lived in share houses previous so i do my part to keep it clean and respect others.
Hey all, my story is one just like many others. Came to Australia on a working holiday visa, started working and was promised sponsorship. 10 months later, left out to dry. Anyway, not being one to hold a grudge I'm just trying to make the most of my time here whilst I work out if there is away can stay longer. cycled down to Melbs from Sydney and have spent the past 2 weeks driving around and exploring. (don't get the wrong impression, I'm not sporty, just a guy that follows through with his drunken ideas) I'm looking for a room to tide me over until my visa ends which isn't long I know, but with all my fingers crossed I hope I can get on a student visa to extend my stay. I'm a very easy going guy, keep a clean house, vegan and just a hippy at heart. I'm sociable but will be working in hospo so my hours wont be haha. If you think I might be a good fit then give me a shout and lets go out for a coffee or a beer, this whole 5 min meeting in the house just makes no sense to me. lets hang out see if we get along. :)
I am a Singaporean working as an editor in educational publishing. I like listening to music, reading books, blogging, hiking and cycling. I have visited several countries such as Australia, United Kingdom, Cambodia, Malaysia, Israel and Canada. At the moment, I am looking for a quiet private room in Melbourne on behalf of someone for a short-to-mid-term stay (flexible duration from 1 week up to about 2 months, depending on the suitability of location and so on).
I'm an American on a working holiday who just got back from traveling the world for 2 years. It's been a crazy ride, but I want stability right now. I'm looking to start circus training again and I'd love to live in a flatshare with other fun weirdos. I'm a non-smoker, vegan-friendly, dog & cat trainer, who's very clean and experienced in group-living. I'm good at chore-managing and conflict resolution. I'll be in Melbourne for one year and I am financially stable and ready to settle into one place for a bit. I would like to make new friends, so living in a place where the roomies aren't close is just not for me. I like shared meals, dumpster-diving and artists and performers. I had had installed circus aerial apparatus' in my old converted warehouse apartment.
Two Northern Irish girls on a working holiday. Clean, tidy, laid back. Both recent graduates. Looking for a double or twin room in a shared house.
My name is Ash, 29 year old male, from W.A. originally, work at a cafe part time as a chef and as a first aid attendant at a first aid company, currently studying as a paramedic at VU. Looking for a clean, tidy and comfortable house to move into from the middle of December long term. Would like to interact with housemates (house dinners and social activities) but also independent and like to keep busy, I enjoy keeping slightly fit with running and touch rugby and also eating tasty food and drinking good beer. Not afraid of house chores and can clean up after myself, I appreciate a good house vibe.
I'm Raimundo (Ray it's OK too), an chilean guy who came to Australia for a Working Holiday experience. I decided to make Australia my new home for at least one year and from here start travelling to this other side of the Pacific Ocean! I'm 27 years old, easygoing and reliable person, and I have a degree on Political Science, but my interest are very broad, such as culture/music exchange, consciousness topics, photography and visual arts, languages, history, politics, rollers, bycicle, bouldering, nature, yoga, and so on...
Hey, we are two English guys just moved to Melbourne. Both chilled out and easy to get along with! One of us is a sound engineer/ technician and the other works in retail management. Looking for a cool place to live for our time in Melbourne! Cheers Jon and Glenn
Hello! I am Jules. I am 29, an environmental lawyer and campaign manager with the Wilderness Society - a national environmental campaigning organisation. I grew up in Cronulla Beach in Sydney but I am relocating to Melbourne this year for my job and to be closer to my boyfriend Sammy (who is an outdoor education teacher in the country 2 hours out of Melbourne - I would be visiting him a few days a week in his house up there, and probably most weekends). I am a very active adventurous person, and my whole life is about exploring the outdoors. At the moment I am into whitewater kayaking and so in spring time I will be paddling all the amazing rivers that Victoria has to offer like the Mitta Mitta and Mitchell! I love going bushwalking too, on overnight trips and camping under the stars. I haven't done much walking in Victoria so I would be keen to explore places like Wilson's Prom and the high country. In winter, I am into backcountry skiing and camping in the snow. Any of these adventures I would be happy to take house mates on if they are keen! In everyday life I am into playing sports (I will probably play AFL or Canoe Polo or something for fun in Melbourne), canyoning, running, climbing, mountain biking and doing hot power yoga. I also love to learn guitar, sing, make things out of leather, vege garden, and learn more about how to live sustainably. I love seeing live music and going to interesting talks and events where I can learn things and meet new people. I would like to maybe volunteer my legal skills at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (I have had a background working in the aid and development/refugee sector as well as the environment sector). I am really sociable, laid back and friendly and love to have dinner parties or just make dinner for people every now and then and learn to cook new things. I love hanging out and taking the time to get to know people. I don't watch much TV but do love watching kayaking movies and adventure docos. I have a busy life with my job, adventure stuff and hobbies, and I also travel interstate for work - so I would be out and about quite a bit. However, I do love investing in creating a nice home atmosphere in a share house. I have share housed with people for 6 years in Canberra and always loved it and my house mates are some of my best friends now. I am rafting the Franklin River in Tasmania from 29 October to 9 November. I am looking to move down to Melbourne after that sometime in November. Jules 0405683450

Im clean and respectful of others. I have sharehouse for the past 5 years back home while studying and work. If u wish to know more just ask away.
British who's been offered a sponsorship through work. I lived in St Kilda East for 10 months and feel like giving north side a go. Looking for a fully furnished flat in either Brunswick, Ascot Vale, North Melbourne, Flemington, Clifton hill or nearby suburbs. Though South Yarra and Prahran is tempting me back Southside. I'm a very sociable person and enjoy going out and meeting new people. I also love a night in and work office hours so tend to go out on the weekend and chill more during the week. I'd also love to find somewhere within walking distance of a train station for the morning commute. I'm a massive foodie so love to cook and go out to restaurants. I also enjoy going to bars, festivals, shopping, good films and books, holidays, travelling and a night in with wine and a cheese board 😁 I'm a very clean and tidy person so preferably would like to live with someone similar as I hate a messy house! I can also be a pretty quiet housemate and I'm very respectful of other people and their space. I'm a massive animal lover though don't own any pets.
Professional female working in the communications and marketing, looking to find a cheaper place than my current unit. I have a great sense of humour (quirky), fairly neat and tidy sort of person, good with money and enjoy films, books, and art and culture around Melbourne. Can also cook! Would like to share with a similar sort of professional female, not really into the party scene any more but wouldn't pass on a good night of wine etc. every now and again, and am dog friendly too (allergic to cats unfortunately). Like my own space, including cooking etc., but also would like to share with someone friendly to catch up on the week/day :-) I have a large-ish queen sized bed and matching sides and tallboy so would need larger room rather than smaller.
Looking for a place that can share a house/apartment with and so share the rent. I am very clean, love to have drinks every now and then but also love to have chill nights. I am a very neat person and easy to get a long with. :)
23 year old from QLD moving to Melbourne for grad school. I am looking for some fun, friendly people to move in with. I value cleanliness and I can cook - I would really like to find people who are sociable and enjoy chatting / activities with flatmates balanced with doing your own thing. Hobbies include travelling, learning languages, cooking, outdoor activities and exploring new places. Bonus points if you have pets I can cuddle, but it's not a deal breaker! I have lived out of home (including overseas) since I finished school so I am definitely house-share trained, and I can provide four years of proof of paying rent reliably. Ideally I am looking for a place where I can have my own space/privacy but also flatmates who I can chat to and become friends with too (moving away from all my friends and family). I can sign on to a lease any time from late November but I probably wouldn't physically move until after Christmas. Just message me if you have any questions :)
Hi, I'm from Canberra and I've recently graduated from the ANU. Why I'm great to live with... I'm fun, very easy going, tidy, I pull my weight, and I'll never miss a rent payment. A few interests of mine are music, acoustic guitar, cooking and travel (I recently returned from an exchange semester in Copenhagen). I'm moving to Melbourne to find a grad job in some sort of creative industry. I'm hoping to find a share house that's social and full of outgoing, open minded and fun people.
I'm Michelle, full time student, Vietnamese background and a barista. I'm looking for a single room for renting. I'm tidy, clean, friendly person and a shy girl sometimes :). I would love to have more chances to practice my English as well as understanding Australian culture. Non- smoker, not a party animal. Love doing yoga n some others sports, also love cooking. I am looking for a room to rent maximum abt $160 per week including all bills Thanks
Hello, i am from Lithuania and moving to study and work in Melbourne. I am easy going, clean and tidy. Like running and doing sports, don't smoke and drink alcohol very rarely, love animals, even though don't have any. Looking for calm and nice place to live in which i could call home.
