I'm a recent graduate and now looking for a place to stay for the summer and possibly/hopefully) longer. I'm usually quiet, and laid-back and would love to share the house with people sharing the same traits. My favorite activity is having a relaxing chat over a cup of tea after a long day :) I would love to connect with people that I'll share the house with, so house dinners, board game nights, movie sessions are some of the things I would want to do as a house together :) I often work at home so if you have a strong, unlimited internet connection, you are the One! :)
Hey, my name is Ajay (30, born & raised in Melbourne w/ Indian background). Working full time in hospitality. Looking for a place in cbd or outer city (any side-N.E.W.S.) as I work in the city. I am very sociable but also know people need their privacy. I enjoy to the gym, cooking and enjoying outdoors activities. With work and hobbies, I won’t be home often unless I have a day off (rarely) but would make time to spend with my housos (dinner, drinks, grocery shopping, cleaning etc). I like a clean and tidy place (not a clean freak though). If you have any further questions, just ask. Also, have no problem going on the lease (would prefer it) but flexible considering circumstance. Thanks, Ajay.
I’m a fun and easygoing travel agent just returned from a couple of years living in London. I’m a very social person, I would love to find some super friendly housemates who are up for a chat or a meal or a Netflix binge sesh. I’m typically very neat and tidy but I don’t really care if other people aren’t. While I love to party I’m also super respectful of my housemates and neighbours and keep the noise to a minimum through the week.
I am a professional in my late 20s working full time at RMIT. I am someone who loves living in a house that I can consider home with people whom I can get along with and share a meal or some meaningful chats with when possible I have been living in Melbourne from past 10 years. I enjoy good meals pretty much open to any kind of cuisine. I have lived and shared house with people from various cultures and I am very friendly, tend to keep home clean and respect others privacy. In my free time I like to Yoga, Netflix, Dance classes and may be a road trip out in country. I am LGBTQI friendly and would not want to live with people who are in any way discriminatory. shoot me a message if you feel we would be a good match! Please send me your number as my subscription has expired so I won’t be able to message back. Regards, Vandna
I am a 25 year old professional relocating from Newcastle NSW to Melbourne to take on a BDM role for an Educational Resources company. I will be spending most of my time either on the road around the city visiting childcare centres, or working in the CBD at the office, however will be required to work from home a little bit (and would love a study space/corner!) I have lived in share houses previously, and really enjoy it. I like to keep things relatively clean and tidy. I am an active and a social person - I’ll often be up and about in the morning with the dogs, and hitting the gym after work, but do love my wine and cheese and a night in or out as well. I have a 10 year old Jack Russell. She is an absolute sweetheart and gets on well with other dogs, but as she is getting old she spends most of her time sleeping or snoozing in the sunshine and isn’t too playful anymore. I also have a 3 year old Ridgeback mix. He is very quiet and loves a good belly rub. Where I am now, I take them out regularly, and am happy to help out with yours too. As I’m still in Newcastle, I can’t actually come and have a look at the room straight away (though am hoping to be able to come down for a weekend to check places out in the next couple of weeks), but am more than happy to have a chat over phone, Social Media etc, whatever works for you! My starting date for the new job is 3rd December (so soon!!), so looking to move in the days prior to that - ideally the Thursday/Friday before, but do have a couch to crash on if this needs to be pushed out a few days. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hey guys, I'm 26, just moved here from London and planning on being here for the next two years. I've just started working as a bar manager in a pretty sick bar in the CBD. I'm gay, a pescatarian and a creative type looking to get back in to it. Clean & tidy, good banter and can whip up some pretty tasty drinks. I'm looking to get back in to photography and some directing work as I'm here so a creative house a ++. I'm also planning on doing a TEFL and a programming course, so not going to be your usual late-night/party hard hospitality character.
We (Christy and Tom) are an easy going pair. As flatmates we are very clean and respectful, and keen to chip in however we can to help keep a happy home. Love cooking together and almost always down to kick it with roommates, while of course respecting privacy and personal space.
Hi guys! I have just moved back to Australia and am looking for a room. This past 1.5 years I have been living abroad and lived/worked one year in Berlin - amazing city! I am originally from Adelaide and just now moved to Melb. Currently I am still employed by the Westpac Group (I was on a career break while I went away) but at the moment on unpaid leave. I just got back from overseas and am trying to get my boss to organise a work transfer to Melb part-time. I will also study Community Services in 2019. About me: I am so easy going! I have travelled around the world and led an interesting life in Berlin where I made the move spontaneously, without knowing anyone or anything there! And it was the best year of my life. Found a job, found a place to live and made amazing friends and created amazing memories. As a housemate I am: Clean and neat (this is a vow haha), respectful, fun (always down for a drink and an interesting chat) flexible (believe it or not in Berlin for 6 months I lived in a bedroom/shower - I will explain more when I see you and show you a photo lol) and organised (rent will always be paid on time and I do have savings already put away for that). I used to be a school teacher, a finance case manager and in Berlin a patient care adviser for a digital hospital, but will now pursue what I am truly passionate about which is case management in community services (hence a little extra study). My interests: -Traveling (yeah yeah everyone writes that, but I have been to some interesting places that the usual crowd would not venture to). -Exploring abandoned places (in Berlin I explored an old Nazi hospital which Hitler used to be treated at, an old abandoned chemical factory where we found documents from the 80s still there and laboratories...abandoned houses with magazines from the 70s and old furniture, clothes etc...the list goes on). - Techno music (Berlin exposed me to some amazing under ground techno artists and now I have a sweet collection of awesome tracks). -Art/Graffiti art...I love photographing graffiti art and going to different art exhibitions and galleries. Anyway sorry about the thesis, but I will be your perfect new flatmate (really!) haha and hopefully we can meet! Any other questions just ask. Peace!
Hi, we're Till and Lea-Sophie, backpackers from Germany, and looking for a cozy place to live during our stay in Melbourne :) We arrived in Australia only last week and are both already looking for jobs. I (Till) have been traveling New Zealand before and consider myself somewhat experienced with flatsharing. Our previous living situation in Germany was a shared flat as well. We're easygoing, generally quiet, clean, like cooking, and are always open for new adventures.
Hey! I'm a fourth year Unimelb Arts student studying Screen and Cultural Studies and my friend Meg is a 2nd year Anthropology student. We're looking for a sharehouse/people to move into a sharehouse with! About me: - probably taller than you - bit of an introvert but keen to be great friends with whoever I'm living with - easygoing - respectful - clean Some stuff I like to do when I'm not studying: - analogue photography - going to jazz bars - going out every now and then - watching any & all kinds of movies - going to the Cinematheque every week - going for a good wander to nowhere in particular - cooking terrible meals - work (I don't have a job atm but I plan to get one as soon as I'm back in Melbourne) About Meg: - probably shorter than you - kindest person you will ever meet - artsy
CLEAN, TIDY, RESPECTFUL, CONSIDERATE, TRUSTWORTHY and FRIENDLY. I'm someone who has an OPEN MIND, a FRIENDLY PERSONALITY but likes their own space. I am easy to mingle with , understanding , caring , reasonable to live, kind of a person. I don't go around poking my nose into other people's business , but if anyone needs my help, I'll be there first one to help. I just completed my bachelor of engineering in India and I'm planning to do my masters in UniMelb, Feb 2019 intake. During my free time, I usually hang out with a couple of friends and have some beer and chill, I love watching and playing football. I love socializing and exploring new places.
Namaste everyone 🙏🏾(sounds pretty spiritual right but I’m not that spiritual) I am looking for a place around Brunswick, Coburg area. Please read my story. Since one of my house mate decide to go crazy, not paying rent, stay up all night drinking and making holes in wall with his fist, we all have be asked to move out from this awesome share house in Brunswick west by December 2nd. This is the second time in past 6 months I am ending up in similar situation coz of a house mate. I have almost lost my faith in share housing in Melbourne from these incidents. As a last attempt I’m here searching for a decent place to call my home. I am looking for a room around brunswic or Coburg. I have been share housing in Melbourne for past 4 years and have a good track record. I got a decent job which pays bills (I’m a toolmaker), love cooking and sharing meals, always happy for a chat. If you love spicy food you want me as a house mate, I love cooking and sharing food. I like quiet weekdays and little bit of fun on weekends. I can’t handle party house anymore. My budget is around 700$ per month. Let me know if you got something for me That attached photo is my current bedroom.
Hi There, We are a couple (James & Shenayde) from New Zealand who have been living in Melbourne for about 5 and a half years now. We have been living down in Geelong for the past 6 months as Shenayde was involved in an accident and had to attend the rehabilitation centre down there to learn how to walk & run all over again. We are moving back up to Melbourne in February (very early notice I know, but early bird catch the worm - and all that jazz). A little bit about us: James - 29 year old IT Tech who works for a Software and Website company in Spotswood (near Yarraville). I am an above knee amputee, but this does not hold be back, just means I fall over a couple more times than your average bloke after a few too many drinks. In New Zealand most of my friends call me Peg Leg or Peg, so no embarrassment on that front. Enjoy a good laugh and cooking up a feast. Shenayde - 26 year old awesome lass. Shy at first, but loves a good yarn after a couple of wines. Molly - A sassy 2 year+ old kitty. Please note we are both outside smokers and are not big drinkers but do enjoy a few wines on the weekend or after a hard day at work. As I say, we are not looking to move until February but would like to put the feelers out there now for any other interested people/couples looking for a place, or may already have one secured.
I’m Lorena. I’ll be studying Early childhood education for 2 years here in Melbourne. So I’m looking for something long term. I work as a nanny and in hotel. I'm a pretty laid back person, busy most of the days but always accessible to have a chat. I'm clean and quiet person. I'm looking forward to move soon. The place that I'm currently living is quite small and I need a place where I could stay long term.
Recently moved back home after living in darwin for 11 years. I've started a new job that I will be working away with at times, potentially wks on end. Still actively involved playing footy and cricket throughout the year so live a busy lifestyle
Hey guys 🙂 My names Cindy and I’m currently on the hunt for a new place to call my home. If you have a room for rent I would love to get in touch as I’m looking to move in ASAP! Please see details about myself and what I’m looking for below. What I’m looking for: A private room that is preferably unfurnished in a share house with like minded people (not fussed about age or gender). As I work and study on swanston street, easy access to the city would be greatly prioritised. I am looking for somewhere long term (12 months, possibly longer) that costs $250 or less per week inclusive of bills. Particular areas of interest for me are north/west, south Melbourne, Brunswick, St Kilda, docklands and surrounding areas. I also have two tiny small itty bitty baby puppies back in brisbane that I’m looking to bring down ASAP, so if your property allows pets then this is something that I will too prioritise, but it’s not a strict requirement, I’ll take what I can get 🙂 Bonus points if the room/property has: - Bicycle parking - A balcony/outdoor smoking area - Possibility for pets allowed - Fun peeps About me: I am a happy, go-lucky gal who has just turned 23. I am of Latin American descent and have recently moved from Brisbane, so if you like food and are interested in my culture then I’m sure we could get along. I study Design (majoring in Graphic Design) at Unimelb so I am a creative bug and would love to spend time with you working on arty and crafty projects if that’s your thing 🙂. My course can be quite intense so during semester I retreat to my room a lot.. but I love being sociable when I have the time and energy. I work for EB games in the city which slams me with shifts during uni holidays. If your household has any gamers, I’m all about that co-op play and LAN parties! I have a PS4 and a Nintendo switch so there will be many multiplayer games for us to choose from 🙂 if you’re into board games, I also have a large collection for us to have fun with. In my spare time I love play my guitar and ukulele (love a good jam if you play any instruments). I also enjoy a cheeky bevy and a smoke here and there. Anyone up for cheese and wine? Or beers and pizza if that’s more you’re scene. I love to cook, read, go to the gym, cycle (or anything outdoor related) and above all I sleep a lot. I’m really an easygoing person who isn’t fussed about much in life so if you think we might get along, holla at yo girl! Looking forward to meeting my new household family and friends!
Hi there, I am a freelance designer and a final year design student at RMIT. I like to live clean, simple, and quiet. That being said, I am always up for a drink and chat! If I'm not at uni or my studio I'm probably out taking pictures.
I respect multi-cultural diversity and people differences. I'm a scholarship awardee from Indonesia and will take a master degree in Unimelb starting in mid January 2019. I'm an easy going and a reliable person (will pay the fees/bills on time). I'm calm and friendly, and love to live in a clean house.
Hello, I'm a student, studying in Brunswick. I moved to Melbourne from Tasmania. I'm a creative type; I love to paint, sew and cook. I consider myself easy going and friendly. I love having dinners with my house mates. Looking for a place for summer, possibly for long term.
Hi! My name is Sandra, I'm 25 years old and I will spend the next year in Australia. I have been living in some other places, I like meeting new people and enjoy the cultural diversity. In my free time I do yoga, enjoy outdoor activities, read, paint and I love travelling. I'm easy going and have shared flats for 6 years :)
Hello future housemates! my name is George, I'm 24. I came to Australia to study in Brisbane and now that uni is over I want to live and work for a while in Melbourne. Why Melbourne? Since it's the cultural hub of Australia and the hipster-place-to-be(which is right up my alley) I want to experience the city and its people and not only stay there for a few days. So my plan is to stay for around 2 months(maybe longer, let's see how things turn out). For work I want to get into hospitality, I have been working the last two years as a bartender in Germany and I would love to get back at it. Just totally adore working and chatting with people in this environment. Some more background on me: Originally I'm from Russia but now studying material science and engineering in Germany. At the moment my hobbies are playing the guitar, singing in a choir(preferably new pop-songs and not only ancient stuff), ballroom dancing, boxing and going out for a run. I would love to continue doing some of this stuff in Melbourne but I'm also totally down to try out new things Before coming to Australia, the past 6 months, I have lived in Munich in a shared house with 6 roomies and I would love to live in a shared flat/house again. I like hanging out with my roomies, having a beer or cooking and having dinner together. I mean we don't have to become best friends(but which would be cool), but I'd like to have roomies who don't try to actively avoid the other roommates and enjoy the company of others. so a family-like environment would be totally awesome
I'm a 25 year old female doing a start-up business and working part time. Originally from Newcastle. I’m super friendly, easy going, open minded and respectful of boundaries and space. I love reading, writing and socialising. Looking for like-minded people.
