My name is Kedar and I'm male, aged 21 from India. I am studying my Masters in Environmental Management at UTAS and complete the course at the end of next year. I consider myself social, although Uni is often busy and sometimes I am a bit quiet. I am clean and tidy and very respectful of other people’s space. Ideally, I am looking to sign a medium-term (1-2 years) lease for a single room in a neat and tidy house, with good public transport accessibility. I am ready to move in at the start of September, but I’m quite flexible with this. A decent Wi-fi connection is also a must. I'm creative, especially musically and I enjoy the occasional jam. Although it’s just as a hobby, I have a little home studio to record and make music. I also spend a bit of time in the kitchen, though I do not consider myself an expert by any means. Just like anybody, I enjoy a good shared meal and conversation and even the occasional drink. When time permits, I often look to gardening combining this with my love for cooking. Recently, I have been making changes to be more sustainable and it’s a massive bonus if the people I live with have similar values. I love animals, having done some zoology in my undergrad and am extremely comfortable around them. In summer, my love for nature often drives me out of home and I enjoy adventuring, bush-walking, swimming and looking for cool wildlife and plants. I currently work part-time, working in online customer support for a scholarly writing platform called Authorcafe, that helps students and lecturers collate and publish research. I volunteer when I can find the time, helping UTAS students and lecturers with their projects. Since my parent live back in India, I have good experiences living in sharehouses having lived with people from many cultures and backgrounds, including Australian. This will be my 4th year in a sharehouse. I am therefore quite independent and experienced in sharing houses.
Hello, I have recently moved to Hobart to start a new job. I work as a health professional in the city and I am also doing postgraduate study in Medicines Management at UTAS. I am looking for a share-house or to take on a lease (house or unit) in the central Hobart area. I am a friendly, clean and considerate person with good communication skills. I would like to live in a location where I can walk or cycle to work - Sandy Bay, West Hobart, South Hobart, North Hobart and Battery Point are good areas. I am ideally looking for a medium or large bedroom with some sunlight. Furnished or unfurnished is fine. I would prefer long-term and I am willing to pay up to about $260 pw rent for a good sharehouse, and more for the lease on a unit or house. I live a healthy lifestyle. I'm a qualified yoga teacher and I do yoga every morning. I like to recycle and use enviro-friendly cleaning products. I am creative and enjoy playing my flute occasionally. I especially like getting out into nature for a bush walk. I enjoy having good conversations with housemates, and I also also appreciate quiet time and space. I don't mind dogs but I absolutely love cats - if you have a cat that would be a plus! :) I hope to hear from you.
Hi! I'm a 27 yr-old Brit who is working 9-5 as an environmental research scientist. I'm really easy-going and respectful and am looking for like-minded housemates who are up for socialising around and out of the house, but who also understand that people need their own space at times. I'm hoping to live somewhere that has a really friendly atmosphere - I'm looking to make friends, not just for a place to lay my head. I love the outdoors and would love people to show me their favourite hikes, climbs, bike rides and beaches. But also I enjoy city life - visiting art galleries, going out for beers and to gigs for the odd dance. I'm veggie, environmentally-conscious and always up for interesting discussions about music, art and politics. I have a couple of bicycles - one which is happy living in my room waiting for some weekend attention; the other is my commuter and ideally could be housed somewhere convenient for getting out of the front door. Let me know if you think I'd be interested in your room!
I am originally from South Africa. I will be doing my Masters in Social Work at UTAS. I have been living in Melbourne for the past 2 years and am very excited to move to Tasmania because I love the outdoors. Although I am a very independent person and enjoy my space, I love chatting and getting to know people. I have two weekend personalities, one is extremely social who loves going for a few drinks and a dance or just exploring the town, and the other is addicted to Netflix! I’m looking to stay with people who can respect each other’s space but also people who want to get to know each other and hopefully start some friendships ☺️
Hi Hobartians! We are Ricky, 28, originally from Fremantle WA, an electrician, and Kayleigh, 25 from Lincoln, UK originally, currently working full time at Salvos. Kayleigh has lived here a little while, in a sharehouse in Lenah Valley, but her lease is coming to an end in September, and we are looking for a room together! Both very experienced with living in sharehouses, eco minded and energy conscious (and looking for a like minded household), sociable, love outdoorsy stuff, sustainability, music, going to gigs, cooking. Ricky is a footie fan and mountain biker, and Kayleigh is into organics and horticulture, natural building etc. Both love binge watches of The Office. Also building out a van together to live in, so would love some place with parking! Drop us a message if you think we'd be some chill roomies!
Friendly, easygoing, well-travelled. Enjoy a mix of going out, exercising and staying home, pretty normal!? I've experienced various sharehouse dynamics and have become friends with most of my housemates. Into wine, music, hiking, yoga. I used to own a wine bar, about to launch a new business as a Coach. Can spend $250+bills depending on the place

Hi! I'm looking for a share house with other professionals or part time students. I'm clean and tidy, and I like keeping an uncluttered house. I like being social with my house mates, and occasionally cooking a big meal for the house. I enjoy having a friend or two over for dinner now and again, but I'm not a regular party type. Finding a queer-friendly house is essential to me. I work part time as a programmer for a local company, and i'm studying for my Bachelor of Science by distance part time. Outside of that, I have an active social life that gets me out of the house regularly. When I am at home, I enjoy hanging out with my pot plant collection, drinking a cup of tea while reading a book, and playing my saxophone (it isn't too loud, don't worry!). I'm a volunteer firefighter, which often keeps me busy over summer. I love going out to see local music, there are so many excellent local bands to see!
Hi! I'm a 26 year old studying Ancient History at UTAS. I'm looking for a new long-term rental as my current landlord has decided to sell at end of my lease. I am pretty laid-back, respectful, quiet, tidy, friendly but introverted (I tend to read or watch Netflix) I would love a place where people are around in the evenings to catch up. I love books and movies/tv shows (particularly horror and fantasy/sci-fi!) history, pizza and having the odd drink of a good cider. I don't drive, so good access to public transport is a priority
