Hi! I'm Sandra, a 23 year-old medical Student from Germany. I will be absolving part of my last year of medical studies in the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in the departement of plastic surgery (elective of 8 weeks). I am looking foward to travellling to Australia, I have never been there and I am very excited about living in such a big and cool city like Sydney. Further I would love to live in a shared house so I could easily meet people and have a drink with them or get to know the city with my new flatmates. I am very uncomplicated and tidy. I am a diabetic tough so I wont party too much, that's not good for me either ;) Since I don't know what to write anymore, please ask me anything you want to know about me! See you soon!
I am a young professional, working as a management consultant in Sydney CBD. I recently moved to Sydney from Ireland and am still trying to get my bearings in the city. I am friendly, easy-going and respectful. I value my personal space but am always up for a good chat. I also like to maintain a clean and tidy living environment at all times. I like to hit the gym, listen to music or catch up on my favourite TV series in my free time and, as an expat in Sydney, I hope to explore all that the city has to offer...so any advice for a newbie would be most welcome!
I'm 24, work for a social media agency in Chippendale and have been living and working in Sydney for two and a bit years, having moved from the UK in 2015. I'm very much a dinner party instead of house party kinda gal and am a keen baker who is more than happy to share treats with the house. I'm clean and have lived out of home on and off for over six years so very adept at the whole sharehouse thing but also open to contributing towards getting a cleaner. I love Carriageworks farmers market (was there this morning!) and am a big foodie so often eat out with friends but am always happy to cook a house dinner too! I'd ideally like to live in a house with a mix of genders as I've preferred this in the past. Living with family at the moment so very flexible around move in dates any time in late April/May.
I'm Glynis. Working in marketing at a little software company. I'm relaxed housemate - tidy, friendly, open to pitch in - I've been sharing for a few years now. While I enjoy relaxing after a day at work with housemates, I am also respectful of others space if they want some time out. On weekends I like to be outside, at the park, the beach, trips to the snow, that kinda thing. I also like to get into a good tv series/movie. Looking for a sunny room to fit my queen size bed & somewhere nearby to park my car.
I am NOT home most weekends and a few days of the week, so what that means for you is you have the benefit of a house mate Without having to see her constantly. Having said that... I'm pretty quiet. Tidy. Domestic. Mature and trustworthy and happy. I have a corporate full time permanent job so looking for a convenient location to commute to work. I like to look forward to getting home so if you like to make it a sanctuary too then we have a pretty important ideal in common. Pretty introspective. Like yoga and writing, reading and won't hog tv cause I rarely partake. Let's discuss what is important to you and see if we are a fit.
Trainee with NSW Ambulance doing 12hr shifts; 4 days on then 5 off on a 9-day week roster. Moving from Shellharbour to Sydney for this new work. I like to keep to myself but still consider myself a people person. I love music, specifically artists like Jacob Collier, Esperanza Spalding, Lianne La Havas, Hiatus Kaiyote, KING, etc; that kind of stuff :) My greatest fear is damaging someone else's belongings or property and I am a very clean and organised individual. That being said, I'm easy going, even easier to talk to, and super friendly so I hope you'll consider me! :D If you'd like any more information/details about me, please feel free to message me at any time and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Hi, I'm Nicola. Currently studying - Diploma of Costume at Ultimo TAFE, i'm creative and fairly social, happy to have a glass of wine or a G&T and a chat, yet i definitely like my own downtime, and am happy in my own company. Not a big tv watcher so there'll never be a tussle over the remote! (although if you've a good movie up your sleeve, happy to keep you company!) I pretty much like all types of music except country and western but don't make a habit of turning the volume up, preferring to read a good book or do a spot of painting/sewing/other creative stuff. I'm a clean up after myself as i go in the kitchen and tend to keep my stuff out of common areas (unless you like books, then i'm happy to add to the bookcase!). Easy going, open minded and like a good laugh. Ideally a room with either a mostly north west or west aspect is what i'm after, for the light - it's all about the light! Even a mostly north with bit of east will make me happy, as long as there's loads of light for my artistic pursuits. High ceilings would be great but not a "must have", prefer an unfurnished room but i can also work with furnished. If you like to have the odd impromptu party - not crazy kinda party (although i DO love a good costume party!), more the dinner party kinda thing, or mates over, that's fine by me - i may join in, invite a friend or two of my own along, or leave you all to it, either way, i have no problem with that sort of stuff if that's what you like to do. I don't have a pet, but if you have one that'd be awesome! Dog/Cat cuddles are the best!
Hi My reasoning for share at this time, Im mortgaged on an apartment in Erskineville I previously shared with my ex-partner looking to minimise living costs short term & get back on the ground(literally) aswell. Low key mid 30's but very sociable in the appropriate setting, 15yr service with the one employer currently working as Valuer/buyer to car dealership Mon-fri & coaching women's soccer on a Sunday. Love coffee, sport & film. I don't smoke & im a little bit of a neat freak but not compulsive. Undisturbed homebody(when I am home)conservertive lefty who loves the inner west & its community. Mixed heritage of Anglo/scot & ni-Vanuatu so I'm pretty broad culturally & easy going if that counts. Thnks for reading .
Pursuing my master thesis project in biology in Sydney. I'm from Germany but have Chinese roots. I have lived the past 5 years in flatshares, so I know to value a good atmosphere. I like it clean and tidy (I really do), and also contribute my part to it. I'm easy to talk to and enjoy a walk in a park or by the ocean. I recently started meditation and do some reading into Buddhism philosophy. I work long hours and cherish a relaxed time at home. Looking for a quiet environment where housemates don't mind a chat but respect each others privacy. Let's meet and see if we're a match!
Hi, I'm looking for a room long term in the inner west. I love dogs so ideally your place has a resident pooch. I work full-time at Sydney Uni, like to have a chat but appreciate chill time too, and am clean without being OCD. I play soccer, like to snorkel and bush walk, and enjoy a few drinks on the weekend. I'd love to hear from you if you've got a spare room and need someone to look after your dog when you go away.
Hi all, I am currently working full time close to the heart of the city so I am keen to move in a little closer at least for the next 6 months. I am easy going, respectful and clean and am not afraid to pull my weight around the house. I prefer to relax with a book, Netflix or gaming and a relaxed/chill atmosphere. I am quite sociable and would hope for a household of 3-4 that is very much on the same page. While I am a smoker, it is more of a social thing and something I tend not to do on a day to day basis or while at home. I am also able to move ASAP, but there is no rush in needing to move.
Hey we are Emily and Sam. We are a couple in our late 20s. We have both lived in Sydney for a few years now. Sam works with an events/production company in the inner west helping to put on some of the great local music events and I work in marketing for an international development NGO in the city. We both love to cook and are looking for a house to call home - a place where we can hang with housemates and share a drink and the occasional meal, but also respect privacy. Sam also has a dog - he is super friendly and very well behaved. We are both very active so we love to head to the park daily with Druss. I'm into yoga, playing soccer, crafting and watching David Attenborough's creations. Sam is a history buff, runs trivia nights at a pub in Glebe and is a bit of a fantasy geek. We'd love to meet some like minded people to share a home with. Get in touch if we sound like a good fit!
We're an easy going, respectful couple from NZ. We're clean, courteous and aware of other people's thoughts and feelings. I work as an Account Manager at a Marketing Technology company. Meredith works in Architectural design and 3d Modelling. We love to go out to dinner or stay in and cook over a few drinks. We're partial to the odd sporting event or music festival. In saying that we love to stay fit and are quite career focused.
I'm a 20 year old Canadian looking forward to moving my life to Australia for the next few years. I'm moving to study Pharmacy at USyd. I've travelled to Australia before and it was one of my best experiences. I'm looking for like-minded people to live with. I enjoy exploring new places and trying new foods. In my free time I like working out so a new gym buddy would be sick.
Hello, I am a new PhD student at University of Sydney. I'm 28 years old. I have received University of Sydney International Scholarship to study PhD in communication engineering. I've done the master degree in USA after receiving a scholarship too. With that said, I am a totally academic person. However, I like to watch movies, play video games, and do different kinds of sports. I am looking for a shared place that is relatively not far from University of Sydney. On weekends, I like to have fun and experience special activities of Sydney, in order to recover from the hard study.
Hey future house mates. We are a couple in our mid 20's looking for a 2-4 bedroom place. Katy is an interaction designer, and Dave designs smart homes. We have to move out of our old place which we were living in for 2 years, so we can fully furnish a new house. Our only baggage is a little cat who thinks she's a dog. Let us know if you're keen to team up and find a place (we have been looking the past couple of weekends) or if you have a place we can slot in to. Cheers
My name is Florant, I'm a French student who just arrived in Australia. I'm currently working as an material science engineer, but I'll start a PhD in october at the University of Sydney for three years. I've lived almost my whole life in the French Alps, so I'm very keen on any outdoor activities such as skiing (maybe not the most Aussie activity), climbing, hiking, and more recently slacklining. No worries though, I've studied in real cities, I know what internet and electricity are and how to behave with city people. I'm looking for a clean place with friendly people where I could live ideally until the end of my PhD. I'm a non-smoker male, but I love to drink a glass of wine or a fine beer from time to time. I'm easygoing and used to live with other people. I hope this short description is enough to convince you and that I fit your flatmate requirement. Cheers mate, Florant
Hi! I'm Nick, looking for a room/studio in Sydney! Currently living at Brighton Le Sands and looking for a place closer to the city :). I arrived here 4 months ago, I was planning to continue traveling after two weeks, but I liked it so much I decided to stay! The last two years I've been visiting all the seven new wonders of the world, and about 35 country's. And now its time for me to set base again. I work remotely for a company in The Netherlands, so I'm looking for a quiet place where I can also work from home. I don't smoke, I don't have pets and I like to clean (a clean house is actually very important to me :)). I hit the gym daily, go out for drinks and dinner, enjoy the movies, have fun at the beach and travel as much as I can. At the same time, I'm looking for a job opportunity in Sydney so I can stop working remotely and get work here. I'm not a big party goer, but I don't like to stay in all days as well. I'm quite active and like to go out and explore. I don't take life and myself to seriously, but I am a responsible person. Any more questions? Just ask :)
hi there, Really chilled, respectful and tidy. Hospo veteran so won't be around most nights but when I am I like to chill out with a glass of red and binge watch tv series and cook - especially family dinners every now and then. I enjoy socialising and hanging/going out for a few bevvies but also respectful of quiet time and space which I greatly appreciate too after a long day at work.
I am a Brazilian engineer, 30 year old, open-minded, queer/pet friendly, etc. I am currently a PhD Student and I will be working full time at The University of Sydney for about 6 months. I have been living in shared houses for about ten years. So, I am easy going and clean.
Hi future flatmates, Myself and my husband Jay are moving from London to Sydney and land on 1st June. We are looking for a flat share for the first 6 months whilst we get sorted and on our feet. We are both professionals, and will be job hunting when we arrive. I work in marketing and Jay works in IT. We LOVE the beach, keeping active/running/hiking/eating out and generally relaxing and making the most of the outdoors. We are both very tidy and clean, and will contribute to housework and chores. We are also very quiet and won't make any noise :). Jay is really techy and can pretty much fix anything that is broken! We are looking for a flat share because we want to get to know people and make friends! We are looking for a place that we can relax on the weekends whilst working full time during the week. We are not party/clubbing people but definitely like socialising with our flat mates and having the occasional gathering. Let us know if you think we'd be suited to your place :)
