UPDATE Hi everyone! My name is Mirjam and I am originally from Austria. I have been living in Brisbane for the last 2+ years but am moving to Sydney on the 1st of June for an exciting job opportunity in the CBD as Marketing Officer. My boyfriend Aaron is coming as well in the middle of June for a job as a Speech Pathologist and we are looking for a nice place to stay. We are a very relaxed couple and like to keep shared spaces clean. We are very sociable (though we do like our time by ourselves as well - ambivert style) and would be very happy to share a flat with locals or people that have been in Sydney for a while and can share all of the city's little secrets. We are also interested in finding just a studio for ourselves. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to cats so I can't stay in a household with them. Regarding our interests, we both like to read, watch Netflix, working out, play Go and going out on occasion (though I'm not a big drinker). We are more of the stay at home, play board games and cook together sort of people and would love to find some fellow boardgame lovers! *IMPORTANT* - I am arriving by the 1st of June and would then like to a week looking at places and finding a good fit, so I can move in by the 9th of June, soon after which my boyfriend will follow. - My little brother (16) is coming to visit for a month in July, so we need a place where it is okay for him to stay with us (same room or on a couch) during that time. - Sometimes friends might come to visit for a few days, so it would be nice if they can stay too. - I work in the CBD and Aaron found work at Westmead Hospital, so we are looking for a place where either of our commutes is less than an hour :)
- A business student of USYD - Extrovert - Traveler - Chef in the making - Fitness enthusiast - Live a healthy lifestyle - Like my personal space but would love to get a beer or whiskey over the weekend and chill
I love living in a tidy house with relaxed and fun people who enjoy a glass of wine and a chat. I’ve lived in the UK for about 8 years before arriving back in Sydney one year ago. I work in events, love movies and will eat almost anything if it’s wrapped in pastry.
My wife and I are looking for a place to stay at. We are into arts and afternoon chills. Easy going and easy to get along with. Looking forward to cohabitate with other friendly people. Will be coming to Australia on July 20, 2019. From, Kerwin
My name is Jia(you can also call me Jill), I’m a 25 year-old PhD student at department of gender and cultural studies in USYD. I’m now living in a student accommodation and I need to find a place I can call home before July. Since my PhD will last for about 3 years, I need a long-term rent, at least 12 months. About the room, I need a furnished room, and I prefer to have my own bathroom or share with 1 person. My moving date is in late June, but I can move into early if everything is just perfect. Somethings about me: I’m from China. But don't worry, I eat and cook quite light, I will not ruin the kitchen :) . My PhD is like a 9-5 full time job. I go to the uni on weekdays and try to chill on weekends to get some work/life balance. I’m an easygoing and open minded person, and I love my research a lot, which is also interesting enough. I could say I am a nerd in my research filed. And I'm always willing to share things related to cultural studies and gender studies with others. However, I would like to call myself a COOL nerd. I am into art things and fashion. I like painting, galleries, indie music, lo-fi music, popular culture, gin and tonic, movies...and I go to gym and running. PhD student must keep fit haha. I also enjoy exploring the city, nice restaurants and pubs, beach and vintage shops. I don't smoke and I'm really not a party animal. The social life I love is sitting in a bar with 1or2or 3 friends to have an intimate chat. I’m definitely clean and tidy, and I kinda like doing cleaning. I enjoy washing dishes, which is pretty wired to most people. Because of my PhD working pattern, I really want to find a new place near to Syd uni in a walking distance. By the way, I studied and worked in journalism/communication for 6 years, and I worked for Save the Children when I was in China. I'd love to live with flatmates who share similar mind or experience or hobbies, then we can be good friends. I’d love to meet up and visit your home if possible, and I can tell you more about me. Thanks☺️ xxx Jia
Hello! I am looking for a flat to start a phd at UTS. I am a nice and polite person and happy to meet new people! looking forward to hearing from you!!!!
Hello, I'm Santiago, a civil engineer from Bogota, Colombia. I'm arriving at Australia in July to attend grad school at Sydney Uni. Hoping to find a nice place to live, with my own bedroom in a shared house. I'm looking forward to having an amazing time in Sydney: meet incredible people from all over the world, enjoy the beaches, and do all sorts of outdoorsy stuff available in the city. I'm tidy and clean, friendly and not too loud :)
Hey there. Keen to get a room with a responsible and tidy room mate. Very laid back person. I enjoy attempting to cook (though I would consider myself very average), I do enjoy a social outing and TRY to balance all of that with exercise. I work in IT at the University of Sydney, also in the Film Industry and work a lot from home as well on my computer. Not sure what else to write down. Cheers!
Hello everyone! My name is Ayesha, I'm moving to Sydney on June 26 to start my masters at Charles Sturt University, and I'm looking for accommodation starting that date. I'm Brazilian, 27 years old, and have been living in Ireland for the past 18 months. Very organized, responsible, a great cook, really easy going and looking to make friends. I am planning to stay in Sydney for at least 2 years which is the length of my course I'm looking for a single room, in areas that are at a not really far from the city center, where I'll be studying. Around 180 to 250 AUD a week.
Hi, I'm an exchange student coming from France, I will be studying in Usyd for the 2nd semester. I am looking for any type of accomodation nearby the university business school, the only thing I truly need is a furnished private room, from late July to early December. I study management but I'm interested in all kinds of fields, from cinema to sports, from art to science. What would make me a nice flatmate? I am clean and keep things clean, I like to cook (cause I love eating), but I also like to have fun, in very simple ways. Although they say French people are quite grumpy, what you will remember the most about me is that I always keep smiling!
Back in Spain I worked in financial advisory. I needed a change in my life and I decided to move to Australia with the WH visa. I am sociable, clean and easy going person. I like sports, nature, and some party as well :)
Hi I'm Fraser! I'm an engineer working full time in Rosebury. I'm from New Zealand but I've spent the last year and a half travelling Europe, half of it in a van 🚐. I'm into the adventuring the outdoors, rock climbing and going to the beach. I'm quite tidy myself but I like a relaxed flat atmosphere. I'm looking to find a flat that is friends as I find it's a much more fun way to live. Let me know if you think I would be a good fit! :)
