Hi! I'm moving to Brisbane to study medicine at UQ and will be working part time as a registered nurse. I'm very easy going, respectful and tidy, looking for the same in any future house mates. Whilst I'll be quite busy I'm generally a very sociable person and have always enjoyed hanging out with house mates and making a fun home environment in previous share houses. Always very mindful of people's privacy and personal space at the time though. Can be quite flexible with move in dates , 1/12/18 is just the absolute earliest I'd be looking to move. I'm currently working on the Sunshine coast. Please message me on here or text (no phone calls please) if you have any questions.
I'm an actress and working professional who loves a bit of a boogie and making new friends! I'm english, bubbly, kind-hearted and very very clean. I respect others and their space but would love to become friends with future roommates too if possible! Very easy-going, doesn't take much to put a smile on my face and very motivated to succeed in life.
Hi, I'm Samuel. I'm a tradie about to start studying. I'm looking for a clean and quiet place, all of the usual things! The length of stay is flexible. I need a place until at least mid-December, a longer lease (6-12 months) would be great too. About me; I am easy-going, prudent and conscientious. In no particular order, I enjoy a vino while cooking dinner, any sport, a good book, a well-researched documentary, GOT and a few other things we can talk about if that's not enough.
Hi! I'm Sarah Im 20 and moving to Brisbane at the beginning of 2019! I study Occupational Therapy, love going to gigs, the beach & photography! Hoping to find some people with the same kinds of interests as me and hopefully make some great friends also :))
I am an easy going girl, really respectful and tidy. I am happy to share with people some food, drinks and have nice conversations, but also I enjoy a quiet time. I am a PhD student at UQ working on some molecular biology stuff that gives me lots of headaches but anyway I still enjoy to be a scientist. In my extracurricular time I do a wide variety of sports and dancing. You won't regret to have me as housemate!!
I'm an adventurous, curious and tidy student from Latvia, about to (in February) start my internship in Brisbane for 6 months. I'm doing my master studies in materials science in Switzerland, Lausanne and decided to go for an opportunity of going somewhere even more abroad. I am absolutely exhilarated about this internship in Brisbane, as Australia has been a dream destination for a long time.
Hi there! I am a friendly and polite person looking for an ensuite bedroom in a clean flatshare for a short stay, like 2-3 month from 1st Jan 2019.
Howwwdy, my name is Sam. I'm currently looking for a room, but not just a room in a house. like a room in a home. Things like a communal dinner every now and then, a night excursion to the pub, chats over cups of tea and the sharing of lame jokes. That kind of thing is pretty peach. I'm social but also like one's own space. Adaptable may be the word. Like,,, I'm happy to read in my room, but my door will be open for someone to come and chill on the edge of the bed. I currently studying journalism and indigenous studies at uni, work in disability and volunteer for Murriwatch. Don't really know how to describe my personality other than that great catch-all "laid back." Im a bit irreverent, a lil lame, but not that bad. I may add to this..
Hi! I’m Issak, 22 and about to graduate. I currently work two part time jobs and enjoy being social and just chillin on days off. I’m looking for a new place when my lease ends in early January. I’m flexible with lease length and location provided I’m relatively close to the city and public transport. I’ve had some pretty great housemates over the years and I’m looking for some new ones. I like to be able to socialise with the people I live with but still respect other’s privacy. If you’re interested in a team up or have a room available from January swing me a message here or on Facebook.
Hey so a little bit about myself I'm Tanisha and i'm 21 years old currently studying Criminology at the University of Queensland. I'm a really friendly and outgoing person. I love spending time with friends and heading out a lot and the occasional few drinks in the afternoon/evening. However I love my down time where i'm just binge watching some Netflix. I'm a tidy person and respect privacy and everyones space however it would be great to find someone I can get along with really well :)
Hello, I'm hoping to live near UQ (St Lucia), from December 2018 for 1-2 years. Ideally, I would like: + a large unfurnished room (to fit a single bed, large desk, 3 bookshelves) + pleasant and interesting woman or women to share with + easy walk to train station or busway to UQ + a neighbourhood with some trees and birds + a kitchen with a working oven and stove (I like to cook) + a place where I can spend a lot of time reading and writing + good natural light + maybe enough space to have a small piano I like to get to know people, and prefer flatmate/s who can have interesting conversations about life, current affairs, etc. I don't want to rent a room among strangers. I have my own furniture for the bedroom, and cookware, but no other furniture. I'm happy to buy or share the cost of other household stuff. I've owned my own home so am experienced at all aspects of housework, repairs and maintenance. I will be studying out at the Uni campus some days and evenings, but often at home reading and writing. If you think I might fit your household, please contact me. Feel free to ask any questions. Cheers, Sally
Hello! I'm a French girl and I will go to the UQ next year for 4 months (May to August 2019). I will be there all week and if it's possible I would like to discover more the weekend! I'm great to live with, I like when it's clean, organized. I don't think that I have a very good English but I will be happy to discuss with you, but I also enjoy my own space. Ideally, I would like to go to the UQ by walking, but I know that it's difficult to find something perfect. I'm currently at home (Reunion Island, a French department in the Indian Ocean), so it's complicated for me to find a home from a distance. At the moment I'm mainly looking for ads that interest me and I hope to visit them when I arrive in Australia. I'm looking for a room to rent homestay or in the best case a roommate (exclusively with girls)! My budget could be revised upwards if I consider it a good deal! I hope I have given you as much information as possible. So to summarize: - the closest to the UQ to avoid spending on public transportation - room to rent or roommate with girls - in my budget These are the three most important points for me!
Clean, easy going, serious master student from the Netherlands doing research at UQ for 4 months. Looking for accommodation for last 2 months (5 Jan '19 - 9 Mar '19) nearby UQ (Toowong, St. Lucia, Highgate Hill, Dutton Park, Fairfield, ...)
I'm a Sri Lankan student studying in QUT. I have lived in Brisbane for 1.5 years I have lived in which I lived in a multi-cultural share house. I'm friendly quiet, I clean up after myself and great to hang with and have a beer or two
Hi, I'm Alana! I'm a 27 year old female, currently working in research as a speech pathologist. I love to do a lot of things, like yoga, dance, meditation, kirtan, exercising, spending time with friends and I love my job, but to be able to maintain all of this I need to be able to have a calm space to come home to and relax - home is my haven! At home I love to read, meditate and play my harp (it's quiet), and I also work from home sometimes. I'm very kind and considerate and I really love people, and am happy to have a chat and check in with my housemates. It's also very important for me to live with others who are comfortable with me doing my own thing most of the time when I'm at home so I can recharge. Living harmoniously and ensuring that everyone's needs are met in a home is a priority for me, as I'm quite sensitive to how others are feeling. I keep all areas clean and am always open to chatting if there are any issues. I look forward to hearing from you!
***NOT LOOKING TO MOVE IN UNTIL MARCH/APRIL 2019 - JUST BROWSING*** Hi, I'm Michael - I'm 21 and I work full time in Greenslopes as a technical engineer/trainer for a construction software company. I spend half of my time in Brisbane and the other half travelling around to see clients in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia, or sometimes in Europe. I also run 2 mid sized companies of my own in the construction/software industries, and study a full time degree at university in Construction Management, so I'm a pretty busy guy. But I would like a chilled out place with friendly roommates (or studio apartment of my own) to come home to most nights. Whether you're social like myself, or keep to yourself, I really don't mind as long as you're friendly, tidy, and easy to get along with - just like me :) Feel free to let me know if you have any questions, happy to answer.
LOOKING FOR HOME TO MOVE INTO IN 2019 FEB OR LATER. I will be looking for a home in Brisbane to move into in 2019 February or later as I begin my psychology degree at UQ at the end of February. I'm currently on the Gold Coast. This is what I'm looking for, let me know that you fit all preferences 😊: • Close to UQ in St Lucia (closer the better) • With a large size room with lots of natural light, a ceiling fan and at least big enough for a double bed, bedside table, large desk, mirror, couple wardrobes and storage spaces. • With yard or deck areas that get a decent amount of direct sun all throughout the day. • With undercover parking preferred • With nearby public transport to and from UQ, fortitude valley, and the city preferred • Close to a gym and supermarket 💪🏼 About me: I'm positive and ambitious, and both a respectful and open person :) I'm very health conscious and make all my own healthy meals which are wholefood plant based. I'm down for cooking for others 😁💖 I do aerial acrobatics and yoga, love nature and making friends. Things I'm most passionate about in life are eco-sustainability, nutrition, fitness, mental wellness and personal development. 😊😄😁💪🏼💗
Hey my future flatmate, i am a new comer to Brisbane, electrical engineer, independent, calm, neat, non smoker, flexible and open mind. I am addicted to coffee and maybe beer at weekend, i find happiness for outdoor activity (jogging, walking ..etc). Away from engineering, i find passion to cook, so we can share meals or to travel.
Hey I'm Nat! I'm 25 years old, from Melbourne and am going to be in Brisbane playing football from the 5th Jan to late April. I'm very laid back, clean and tidy, like a chat but also keep to myself a lot. I won't be up late partying or anything like that - training will be six days per week so that will take up most of my afternoons and weekends, and I will be travelling some weekends for games. Shoot me a message if this sounds good to you!
I am looking for a place I call home for early January (I may be able to to move during the Christmas hols too). Ideally I would prefer to share with like-minded conscious people, who care about the environment (bearing in mind that I am by no means perfect, but I do try, and have not quite reached the fully vegetarian stage!) Pets are fine. I am fairly sociable and laid-back, young at heart and I can certainly be chatty but I do like and need my quiet alone time, and privacy. I work (almost) full-time at UQ and I often have extra-curricular activities in the evening (yoga or other). During the week I am usually in bed around 9.30pm(ish!). I do not watch commercial TV but I do enjoy a movie or 3! I am looking for somewhere fairly quiet (i.e. not on a main road) and well, reasonably clean yet relaxed. Ideally I would like somewhere that has ample extra storage (i.e. under the house) for my camping gear, bicycle and art stuff. A bit (or more) of yard is essential, I do enjoy a wee bit of gardening here and there when time allows and I like growing my own herbs. Also, I do like to paint (ideally I'd like enough space to make art, either in my room or in a basement) and I also enjoy cooking. And being able to sit around the fire pit with friends would be a bonus! Also, I really want to be walking or so distance from UQ (and not the St Lucia side) so no time-wasters please!
Howdy! Our names are Maddy and Abbey! We are 23 and 22 respectively and currently live in a house together out in whoop whoop (richlands). We would like 2 bedrooms and our budget is approx $180 each. Maddy works full time in Southbank so living near a train line or some sort of public transport is necessary and Abbey currently plays for the Brisbane Roar Women's team as well as babysits of an afternoon. We both enjoy bevy's, friends, family, beach trips and the occasional fun night out. Maddy is only ever really home of a night and generally likes to keep busy of a weekend. Abbey trains pretty much everyday and is always flying around Australia with her team. So she is sporadically at home. We are both fun, respectful, kind and considerate people who love a good laugh. At this point in time, we would love to team up with someone/some people and start a new house, although we don't have too much time left, so please swing us a message! We'd love to hear from you! Speak soon ps. we can't figure out how to move the photos over, so you get a nice shot of abbey's head and half of maddy's! Enjoy!
