I am tidy, I don't steal stuff, and I love to bake. I also like eating, drinking, watching tv, being active, and socialising. I know how to have a laugh, and know when to leave you alone. Basically, as long as you're a decent human being then I can be the best house mate ever
JUST MADE THE MOVE TO MELBOURNE ON NOVEMBER 4TH! I'm a 31-year-old female from the beautiful town of Telluride, Colorado! I am here on a Working Holiday Visa because I want to learn all about coffee, the Australian way. I work as a head barista and ran a couple of my own small businesses back in Colorado. I am extremely fun to be around (very sociable), but I also am very understanding and considerate. My friends call me "Mom" because I take care of everyone. I am clean and dependable (I always pay rent way before it's due). I like to go out, have quieter nights in, but don't mind the occasional dinner parties (I love to cook heaps)! I love traveling and getting to know others from different cultures, so I am very excited to meet more Aussies! I used to live in Wellington, New Zealand, so it makes sense that I should make Melbourne my next home! I am open to any housing situation, including subletting, but I prefer to have my own room.
Hi there, I'm moving to Melbourne Feb next year to study and take casual work whenever I can. It will be busy so you might not see much of me, but I am easygoing, reliable and clean :-)
Hi Everyone, My name is Niketa and I will be arriving in Melbourne on January 2, 2017. I am looking for a place before I arrive. I will be attending Melbourne Law School in February 2017. I am originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Criminology and I am now pursuing my law degree. I want to find a place that is about a 15-20 minute commute to school. Also, I prefer a private bedroom with it's own washroom (ensuite preferred). I am a mature, energetic, independent young woman who has a vast array of dreams and ambitions to accomplish. I have a great sense of humor and I would say that I am a very social person, but I also like my alone time especially when it comes to studying for school. I'm a huge foodie. Toronto has every cultural restaurant you can think of and I love going out to restaurants to try different foods as well as cooking at home. My specialty though is baking cheesecake with a twist. I also love to read, dance and listen to music on my down time. I love the outdoors. I enjoy rollerblading and going for walks/hikes.
Hello, We are a couple looking for a room to stay in for the first semester of 2017. Juliette is from Noosa Heads beginning a Masters at the University of Melbourne and I am from Wagga Wagga doing a bachelor of education at Victoria University. We are both respectful and clean, we also love to socialise but like our quiet time. Juliette loves to garden and read books and I love to be active and fit (not saying Juliette is lazy, she would kill me!) We both have quite a bit of experience sharing houses so understand the need to fit into a household seamlessly. Both of us are new to melbourne so do not know our way around very well and are keen to go out and about venturing in our new home!
Hi I'm Tom I am clean and tidy. Helpful around the house and a general pleasure to live with :). The House Looking for fully furnished room with a desk ideally, around $200 - 250, inclusive of bills and internet. Only really looking to live 1-2 other people.
Kayla and I have both complete the HSC and are hoping to move to Melbourne to study. I will be having a GAP year to work full time, but Kayla will be studying all through 2017. We are supported by Centrelink. We both enjoy a good read, Kayla is vegan, I'm a vegetarian attempting to go vegan, but we're non-judgemental over what others eat. We're good at keeping our room tidy and can help out in anyway needed.
Hello, I'm a young hardworking professional from Nigeria. I'm hardworking, intelligent, social and fun to be with. I'm very tidy and clean, and also respects privacy. I'm accommodating, friendly and easy going. I need a PRIVATE room for rent in Melbourne City and surrounding suburbs to move in ASAP!!! Hi, I am currently looking for a private room to stay from 7 Dec to 18 Dec 2016 (12 nights). Please message me if you are interested. Thanks. A little bit about me: I think everyone thinks themselves is easy-going and clean, so I will not emphasize that. I am a software developer working at an Internet startup in Melbourne. I love Japanese culture. I can speak Japanese and have traveled everywhere in Japan. I also like hiking and have a little bit experience in mountaineering.
Completed my studies in nursing and psychology. About to start my full time career in nursing at the Royal Children's in February 2017. Currently live 45kms north of the city so looking to fly out of the parent's nest and move closer to the city. I would say I'm a pretty easy going person, easy to get along with and happy to socialise but also understand the need for space/privacy. Also understand the importance of a clean communal space.
My partner Shannon & I will be looking to find a 3 bedroom home to rent & are looking 1 a housemate to join us in our search. We will keep the 3rd bedroom as a spare & plan to furnish the home with our belongings but are open to what you may have to offer for the home. Expected budget for house mate $200-250. We are currently looking for a housemate who can have a chat, a laugh & share the occasional catch up when we are all in the home. Also a housemate who will keep the shared areas in the home clean, neat & tidy & someone who is considerate and respectful of others when it comes to noise levels. Rachael is an intern psychologist and Shannon a construction site manager. We are a respectful, friendly, easy going couple who pride ourselves in being neat and tidy & never a hassle to live with. We enjoy going to gym, cafes, markets & the occasional night out or just relaxing. Rachael works FT long days. Shannon also works 10-12 hour days 5-6 days per week & is often out of town every second weekend. We lead a fairly busy lifestyle between work, gym and our family/friends living out of town but do enjoy a chat and a laugh when we are in the home. If you would like to know any more please send me an email, text or call.
Hey! I'm a 32 - year old Finnish guy who's starting his psychology studies on February, 2017. I'm looking for a calm and clean living environment with flatmates who are considerate and respectful towards each other. On my free time I like to do a bit of cooking, working out in the gym, and mashing some yummy brunch into my face. When the weather isn't too cold, I like to sunbake at the beach.
(Initial note: I am queer and sometimes gender-nonconforming/femme in my presentation and my partner is trans, if this is an issue don't bother messaging me) I am a friendly, tidy, and responsible 22yo social science/teaching student, I'm also finding work over the holidays as I've only recently moved to Melbourne. I am always up for a chat but unintrusive, much of the time I will either be out or studying but I'm open to both independent and more friendly share arrangements if we have similar interests/get along. I am vegetarian and prefer to organise my own food, although I enjoy cooking and don't mind sharing at times. I don't currently have any furniture, however I require very little to be available (just a mattress/bed, if it's a 6+ month lease I can source my own), and can supply my own kitchenware, other than an oven/hotplates. Ideally I'm looking for somewhere with a nice kitchen and a room that fits a double bed. I'm looking for at least a 6 month lease, somewhere longer (up to a year) is no problem either. My move date is pretty flexible.
Hi, I'm Marcel! Brazilian, Master's student based in the Netherlands and now in Melbourne for a 6-month research internship. This means that I would like to find a place to move in asap, where I could stay until May. I consider myself organized, easy going and very open-minded (hard to avoid clichés here, right?). I love cooking, hiking, and getting to know new people, languages and cultures. My weeks are going to be very busy, but I would love to spend some time with my future roommates during weekends. Feel free to contact me if you have a room to offer so we can arrange an inspection :)
I'm a backpacker from England hoping to settle in Melbourne for a while. I'm easy going, tidy and like to cook, play tennis and read. I can keep out of the way as much as you'd like, and I don't really know many people in the city (or country!) so won't be noisily waking you up in the early hours after nights out!
Studying and working part time. Looking for a comfy place to call home. Looking for more of a quiet house with my studies but I do enjoy watching TV and hanging around the living spaces with housemates as well. Love to talk about just about everything, I'm a bit of a linguistics fanatic if you want to get me talking!
Hi, I'm Sharlyn and I'll be starting school at the University of Melbourne. Currently, I'm doing an internship at a local PR company and traveling a little. I'm from Singapore, and am fluent in English (and Chinese/Mandarin, a teeny bit). I'd consider myself clean and tidy-ish, but not overly so. I'm an introvert, but pretty friendly and definitely open to making friends. :) Ideally, I'd prefer to have my own room in a sharehouse, and to stay with girls. I have two dogs at home (a husky named Neko and a frenchie named Oki!) so animals are fine.

I'm an active, funny and tidy person, I've just complete my carreer of Industrial Engineering. I like spend time outside jogging, trekking, cycling. I'm a very friendly person who would like to share some "Mates" and have a good talk. Currently I'm interested in knowing other cultures, preparing a trip to Australia. I'm a clean and organized person, who like cooking.
Hello future housemates, My name is Caity, I'm 23 and I'm from Adelaide. But for the past two years I've been living abroad in Manchester in the UK. I got to travel pretty extensively through Europe and have now been to 28 countries. I work mainly in hospitality, my most recent job being in front of house at the Cirque du Soleil show Amaluna while it was showing in Manchester. Cirque du Soleil is also the reason I am looking for a room to rent in Melbourne. As the show Kooza is in Australia at the moment and will be showing in Melbourne at the Flemington Racecourse from mid January until mid March. So I'm in search for accomodation from around the 6th of January until around the 16th of March. I enjoy cooking and baking, being adventurous, going for walks and hikes, reading, watching a good tv show (probably too many) and going out for a good coffee date. I fancy myself a pretty laid back person, I enjoy spending time with the people I live, sharing a meal and a bottle of wine every now and then. While also having personal space and being able to veg out in my room all day sometimes. So if you have a spare room that fits my short term requirement please get in touch with me.
Hi, I'm Indy I'm going to be doing a Diploma of Music Theatre at Ministry Of Dance so I'm looking for somewhere to stay while doing it :) I LOVE musicals and fitness and I'm energetic sometimes but I also love to relax and watch movies. I'm respectful of other peoples space and opinions and I'm also a tidy person. I'm looking to move into a house/apartment which isn't too far from the dance school and look forward to meeting you
Hey there, my name is Ligi, a 22 yrs old Taiwanese girl, me and my friend are looking for a private room in a lovely house. We both are really really really clean and tidy, and will be really respectful. We love to have a drink sometimes after finishing the work, or hanging out to somewhere and we love having some fun outside also, like camping. As me, I am now working in a hospitality company which always hold fantastic events, and for my friend, she works for Melbourne official festival event. Please contact me if there's any private room for 2 girls to stay. Thanks!
Hi, I am a new migrant here in Melbourne and on my try to find a job. I want a short term residence from 3-6 motnhs (own room, own bathroom and own kitchen) which might be extended based on my job location.studio apartment will perfectly fulfil my requirement. Regards Saikat
I'm Sarah 26yrs old who's just returned to Aus after living and working in London over the last 2yrs. I'm currently at my parents house in Albury but looking for a place in Melbourne as I have a job as a registered nurse at the Royal Children's Hospital commencing January 17th. I'm very easy going and like to be social however understand we all lead a busy life so am respectful of others time and space. I've lived in share housing in Melbourne since I was 18 so well aware that being tidy, paying bills on time and pitching in leads to a happy house! My interests include travel, cooking, watching Netflix, sport, checking out new restaurants and having a few cheeky drinks/bbq when the Melbourne weather is kind.
At the start of next year I am planning to move out of home, leave my current job and start my new life closer to the city. I am a quiet individual but will open up once I get to know someone. I am trustworthy and will have no problem helping out anytime. This next step in my life is something I am looking forward to so I very much want some decent people to live with. I want to find a share place with similar individuals, close to my age, easy to get along with and just generally good people. I'm also open to the idea of starting my own place and choosing who to live with myself, so am open to team-ups if that's what you're looking for. Feel free to message me:)
Hello! My name is Miley.I'm a very well-organised person who always likes to keep everthhing around me tidy and clean. I am an easygoing and very diligent student. I don't smoke, and I don't have any bad habits either. I usually do some reading in my spare time. I also enjoy watching TV and going to parties at weekends.
I am a student looking for a place that is close (ish) to the University of Melbourne. I'm from Queensland and have a tendency to get lost ...a lot, so the closer I am to the Uni the better. This year I will be a full time post grad student studying creative writing. I am tidy and like to keep things clean except during end of semester assignments (but I promise the mess of papers will be contained to my room haha). I will also have a job, so will be out most hours of the day. I would love to move in with housemates who are happy to socialise. However every now and again I will disappear, especially if I have found a good book. I like to bake when I get bored but it's normally 50/50 whether the creations are edible. My major draw card is that I come with my own sauce pan and flipping stick.
I'm starting my full time graduate year at RMH as a registered nurse in January 2017. I'm from country Victoria. I'm really easy to get along with, i enjoy keeping fit and other outdoor activities as I've grown up on a farm. I'm no slob and at home regularly clean around the house. Will admit I'm not much of a party goer prefer relaxed evenings with friends. Have recently returned from doing volunteer work in Nepal and am now looking at going to Canada in the future. My move in date is not set in stone either an flexible and am happy to move in a bit before or after. Would love somewhere within 15 mins walking distance of RMH if possible or a short bike ride.
Hi, I am a veterinary medicine student in my third year. I am looking for a place or a team up for 6 months minimum. I come with three pets (a cat, small dog and parrot). I also petsit, usually 1 or 2 small dogs (Only small dogs) or cats at a time. I do not look after animals that are not suitable for the house or that may annoy anybody within the house. I also have a household full of furniture, including fridge, washing machine, microwave, heaps of kitchen stuff, couches etc... I am a clean, quiet and happy person, who is looking for housemates/ a housemate that is/are similar. I am not looking for a house with heaps of people, but 1 or 2 housemates (or a couple). I would also love to team up and start a new house together! You must be clean and help with the household chores and not leave dirty dishes or clothes around in communal areas etc... other than that I am pretty laid back and enjoy a good chat. My university course is very full on, so during university semesters I am quite busy and so I am not interested in parties every weekend (unless it is a special occasion-->birthday for example). I am more fun during the holidays and up for more adventures and outings. I have a police check. If you have any questions please feel free to ask :)
I am looking to live alone, got to an age where that's the space I need. I am a young professional working full time and extremely busy so I'll need a place that I can come home to and relax, plus deck out with Kmart attire! I currently live in a share house and have so for a year and a half. I am a reliable tenant with payment and keeping the place tidy. I look forward to hearing from you.
Hello, I'm Erin :) I'm looking for a new home in the central north suburbs of Melbourne, either in an existing share house or teaming up with other like-minded people to rent a new place. I work full-time Monday to Friday in medical admin, and keep things pretty chilled during the week. That leaves weekends for brunching, cocktails, live music and shopping, or binge-watching TV series if I'm feeling those hermit vibes. I also love taking my little dog Lola for walks, so I'm hoping to find a home for her too and will need to share with people who like little dogs and their big personalities! I have most household items that a fully functioning house needs, but am flexible with how much/little I bring with me. If you think I could be a part of your home, or you'd like to team up to find a place, please get in touch! :)
I am originally from the states, in AUS on a working holiday visa. I am outgoing, friendly, considerate, and very clean!
I'm a university student currently working part-time in retail, but am planning to move on to full time work next year. I've lived in inner-city Melbourne my whole life and am finally planning on leaving home to make my own start. I already have bedroom furniture and two bookcases, and am stocking up on kitchen and living items as much as I am able. For fun I enjoy reading, sewing, baking and binge-watching Netflix. I like to think I am a fairly good cook and am happy to lend a hand in the kitchen. I have a cat, Tigerlily, who I have owned since I was 6. She's currently 21 years old and very used her current living situation, so I'm not sure if she will be coming to live with me yet, but we are usually inseparable. She is an indoor cat, but knows the bathroom is outside, and spend almost all of her time sleeping. In summary, I'm (hopefully) not too much trouble to live with. I like to keep things clean and tidy and will keep myself occupied, but I would love to move in with someone I can hang out with from time to time.
Hi there, I am a student at Melbourne University in Parkville, so I would love a place relatively close to Carlton, or in a 15km radius of the area. I am looking for some people who can offer me a room or would like to team up. I also have a quiet little cat, he is a Chinchilla and is full of cuddles and love.
Hi, I'm Maddi. 28 I both work and study. Looking for a home, somewhere to laugh and share stories as well as the odd meal together. I'm fairly active, I love coffee and cake. I enjoy talking about social events. I also understand the importance of not taking life too seriously. I would love to come and say Hi! :)
I am great to live with because... I will only be home after 5pm on weekdays and working on weekends and I enjoy keeping my space lovely and doing my part to keep the home functioning. My friends describe me as very mature for my age, kind, considerate and very easy to get along with. Looking to live in a calm home with some beautiful people.
We are both happy, friendly people and easy going We just come back from a wonderful 4 month holiday and are excited to come back and live close to the city. We are not party people, but like to have the occasional drink. We are excited to meet new people
I am Amir, software engineer, busy working in the working days [9am-6pm] in the CBD, became 31(but still feels like in 20s) :( , tidy, professional, respect everyone's privacy, semi social, shy, energetic, love cooking sometimes, love music in any genre , still enjoy studying and sitting behind my mac some times:/ I play soccer sometimes and enjoy going to beach , BBQ and have fun. I am looking for a fully furnished, good view and bright private room (ideal garden facing or city view ). It would be great to have a housemate who is social and not always quiete. I would be happy to extend my stay if we both agree and happy to do. I am happy to have a drink on the weekend sometimes/play PS4 ... but also respects each others personal space. I need a car park space.
I'm a mid-twenties post-graduate student looking for a place closer to work. I'm looking for a place where I can hang out with housemates, but also have space to do my own work when necessary. I'm generally easy-going, and I want a place which isn't a party place, though occasional parties are definitely recommended!

2 MEDICAL STUDENTS seek place to stay + THIRD PERSON We are Seb and Zara, best buddies, and two medical students studying at Unimelb, and completing our Masters of Public Health in 2017. We are seeking a place to start renting from the beginning of 2017, before our studies commence in March. We seek at least a private room for each of us, with potential for a team-up with one other to try and find a home :) Looking to Spend up to $200 per person (so $600/week for 3 people) We are both very down to earth people, and like to keep a calm and tidy home! Not big party-goers, so would be looking for someone who respects this. Big fans of all things food related, and anticipate having many wine and cheese nights, competitive cook-offs, and light-hearted banter over a cuppa. Drop us a line if you think you have something suited to our needs, or would like to team up! :)
Hi, I am a 20 year old education student studying at VU Footscray Park. I am currently looking for an all female share house in suburbs close to uni and public transportation. I am not a party animal but am social and friendly. I do not smoke or have pets. I love nature and animals. I try to eat healthy and am attempting to learn how to cook (still haven't figured it out yet haha). I have only lived in Melbourne for a few months so I am excited to explore!
I'm an international student who will start a master degree in February 2017. I'm a person clean, tidy and I respect the others. I enjoy to share a meal or a chat. I like music and cooking.
Hey, we're Bec and Claire, and we're looking to rent a place before March. We're both full-time students at La Trobe, and work part-time. Claire works as a swimming coach and is studying nursing, and Bec works with children and is studying psychology. We're laid back, but like to keep things organised and neat. We both enjoy fitness and cooking, and are really keen to have a good relationship with our housemates.
Hey I'm Robyn! I'm chilled out, easy going and always up for a laugh! I'm 27, currently living in England where I'm from and planning to move out to Melbourne in February next year. I will be doing a years working holiday visa and plan to work and travel. I will initially be looking for somewhere to rent for a few months starting from the end of Feb. My friends would describe me as crazy, ditsy, sassy, caring and funny! I'm always up for fun and trying new things. About me: I love dancing and going to the gym! I work in Sales so it's pretty high pressure and long hours but when I'm not working I'm usually doing either of those things or taking pictures of my food for Instagram because we can't eat food these days without posting pictures of it right?! I love going out to eat and exploring new places! I do enjoy going out for casual drinks or partying, however it would seem although I occasionally party like a rockstar I can no longer recover like one, so just enjoy social drinks with friends! I enjoy living a healthy and active lifestyle going to dance classes and sometimes yoga. I also love discovering new music and going to gigs/live events. I get on with pretty much anyone in any situation and have a lot of banter which is mostly sarcastic. Future Housemates: I'm happy to live with guys or girls; just easy going people I can get along with. I'm moving to the other side of the world on my own so it would be great if said housemate(s) were liked minded people and up for exploring and discovering new things/places together :) I am used to living away from home and have previously lived in a house with 6 girls for 2 years, as well as mixed guys and girls so I am good with housekeeping. I'm clean, enjoy cooking and socialising however respect people’s privacy. I came to Melbourne for 2 weeks at the start of this year and fell in love with it.. hence the move. I've only seen a small part of the city so will spend lots of my free time exploring so you're more than welcome to come along or be a tour guide. Oh also I'm obsessed with dogs...so if you happen to have one it’s a bonus for me and I will happily walk it!! If I sound someone you'd get along with and are looking to move in somewhere in January drop me a message. Feel free to contact me if you’re looking to buddy up and find a place or if you’re renting out a room etc :) p.s. I won't be in Melbourne until February 2017 Happy searching :)
Hello Future Roomies, My name is Hannah and I have recently just turned 21 and will be graduating from uni at the end of this year. My friend and I are looking for either two rooms in an existing house or to start a share house with some incredible people. We are moving to Melbourne in mid January from Adelaide to start a graduate position in the CBD. It will be 3 days a week and I will be looking for some hospitality work to kill some time on my days off. So somewhere close to public transport is a plus. There are many things that make me great to live with, firstly I am very easy going, very tolerant and very friendly. I am super super respectful of my current housemates and know the importance of privacy. Don't get me wrong, I love to be social and have drinks with friends (will probably outdrink you as well) but I also love nights in with Netflix. I am a sports fanatic so I love AFL season so thats a big plus for me moving. Obviously such a big move is very daunting for me so I am hoping to make the transition as smooth as possible. I am looking for roommates that will be able to show me the do's and don't's of melbs and can introduce me to some 10/10's. Also looking to not just fill a room but to be apart of a share house family to call home and to create some sick memories. Not fussed as to what gender as I currently have a huge mix of guy and girl friends. Would love to be able live with people preferably in their 20's but not too fussed. I have plenty of furniture that I am able to bring a long too, would obviously love to have an unfurnished room to be able to bring my things from home but can also provide a beautiful black leather couch and all other necessities if need be. Feel free to ask any questions :)
My wife and I are mature students (I am doing a PhD at the University of Melbourne), have no kid and don’t have any plan to have one soon. Like many other professional guys, I tend to have normal working hours Mon-Fri 9 to 5. My wife is currently doing casual works as well as studying, she loves to have some chat with open-minded and easy-going people. Sadly, my current lease is up soon so we have to move out from our lovely home in North Melbourne in January. Ideally, we'd love to rent out the place which offers an ensuite room or private bathroom in a share house in any suburb close to Melbourne uni. We're also looking for another respectful/considerate couple to team up. We are a very respectful couple, love to make laugh, laid-back and don't like cold environment. We are very easy-going and love to go out to explore the city. We enjoy travelling / cycling / watching films-tv / music / dinner with friends during the weekends. We are clean, tidy and organised, always clean after ourselves and always keep the share space clean.
**PLEASE NOTE - AVAILABLE TO MOVE 1ST OF FEB*** Moving to Melbourne from Sydney as I am starting a new full time role for a large corporate firm in Docklands. I am really easy going, friendly, love to cook and clean and love a tidy home. Pet friendly, enjoy keeping fit and active, enjoy company of others, can be social as well as enjoy my nights in also.
I am a PhD student at the University of Melbourne and I am looking for a place close to the university of Melbourne to stay in long term, roughly a year or more. I am easygoing, friendly and clean. I am not just looking for a new home, but hopefully will make a few new friends to chill out with. I am not a partier or loud, and I am pretty respectful and open minded. Contact me if you think I would be a good fit for your home, cheers!
Just all round good lad, looking for a humble abode. Generally keep to myself and work most of the time, social and love to chat and have a drink when the occasion calls for it.
I keep to myself most of the time, and I'm very quiet. I like to keep my socialising time and my study time very separate. This makes me get along with other dedicated students very well. I'm pretty open too. There's probably no degree of weirdness I'd be uncomfortable with. So long as I can maintain my grades and have fun I'm happy.
